As someone who manages a university phonathon, VanillaSoft has been incredibly effective for running a high-volume calling program. I have been utilizing the Vanilla soft system that integrates various functionality, and I could not be more pleased with its performance. The only issue I really have is our user error it is not always intuitive if you are not trained on the system, but it is such a robust system that it makes sense that it is not super easy without support, but we have an amazing support team

I am very satisfied! I can't imagine running my business without it. My organization and contacting more leads and being more efficient and thorough. Also the building rapport and keeping notes.

Pros

How smooth and easy everything and the customer service is literally top notch!! I love being able to view each lead easily by uploading a CSV and comment on it. Also the being able to customize the result codes. Just so much to love about it!

Cons

I can't easy pull reports and look at list of leads at a time. Being able to merge duplicate leads. That's really the only thing I can think of.

### "Rudimentary At Best."

The learning curve of to this program is that you need to memorize the ways that its bad so that you can work around the issue before it even presents itself. I should have to copy every email before I send it, in fear that the whole system is going to crash out the second I hit send. I'm honestly not the hugest fan of the program. It's very much not a user friendly platform in a lot of ways including the fact that literally everything HAS to be resulted to be moved/we cannot just drag and drop it. It's also incredibly inconvenient that your text platform is basically useless in most ways.

Pros

If I'm being honest, I don't really like anything about Vanilla Soft. Every single aspect of it is rudimentary at best.

Cons

If I have multiple people texting me, when a new message comes in, the other message fully disappears and if I'm not paying attention, my message is now being sent to someone that it has NOTHING to do with. We cannot receive photos. The phones and they're ability to call and it go through is a mess 9 times out of 10. If you email someone with another person cc'ed and one of the emails is wrong/bounces... NOW YOU CAN'T EMAIL EITHER OF THEM without getting Vanilla Soft involved. All of the improvements that have been rolled out have actually made pretty much EVERYTHING significantly WORSE.

Excellent. The interface and management aspects are great and love the cadences. Reporting is excellent and much better than any other system I've used. (It is why I switched.) Highly recommended.

Pros

Comprehensive CRM with lots of features and many I haven't even got to. Easy to set-up and get going, but lots of depth to smooth the lead management process. Love the reporting and I haven't scratched the surface of what it can do.

Cons

Nothing specific, but it is not as intuitive as other systems I've used, but once I was trained up it is easy to manage and use.

### "Effective As A Dialer, Could Be More Effective With A Couple Add Ons"

VanillaSoft is an effective tool as a simple dialer. It would be even more effective if there was a CRM built in and a way to upload multiple phone numbers and email addresses for each lead so that the user can text and email multiple numbers and addresses.

Pros

I appreciate the effectiveness of VanillaSoft as a dialer system. I can easily move through leads. It is simple and easy to use.

Cons

It is not easy to see where you are in a group of leads. It would be more effective if there were some type of CRM built in. Also, I would absolutely LOVE to be able to text more than one number for the same contact. I have looked into and used other platforms because I often have leads who have multiple cell numbers and I have to text them all. So, currently I have to duplicate my leads w/ a different phone number for each contact so that I can text each phone number. Same with emails.

Pros

It moves to your next call without having to analyze your calendar constantly easy to change/edit scripts and emails

Cons

can't click on all of the corporate contacts from the lead inability to drag/drop contacts from one day to another

With the right amount of training, guidance, and hands-on practice, I believe navigating the back end will become much easier for me. I also appreciate the availability of both online and phone support—it’s reassuring to know help is accessible when needed.

Pros

VanillaSoft CRM is user-friendly and intuitive for callers. The technical support team is accommodating, responsive, and always helpful.

Cons

Additional training on the admin side—particularly the back-end—is needed. I find the Contact Management section, especially the Queries feature, challenging to understand.

it was rolled out too late in the year - too close to AEP/OE. I need to re-do the trainings after AEP/OE to get more proficient and use it as intended, and I do think it will keep me very organized and on top of my book.

Pros

the functions and the email drip campaigns will be very helpful in the coming year. I do also like the client reporting options.

Cons

It is pretty complicated to use. It takes a lot of time training and watching and re-watching videos, and since it was rolled out pretty close to AEP/OE, I have not had time to master it yet.

Pros

What I like most about VanillaSoft is the easy to use CRM. Everything is self-explanatory. If any issues occur Customer Support is on it right away.

Cons

While Vanillasoft has helpful tools, I struggled with slow responsiveness and limited customization in key features

It is very hit or miss. Sometimes things work as they're supposed to, sometimes the emails fail to send or the phones stop working and then I'm stuck not being able to work.

Pros

It organizes leads well by different types of groups so similar groups can be grouped together under one filter.

Cons

There are a lot of features that are very basic. For example, there is no way to text the second contact. You also can't use emojis, can't send or receive photos in texts, and can't preview email responses.

the support team is always very nice and professional. no complaints there. they always are quick to respond as well. i just wish they had better news when they did. we are not a huge billion dollar company but we are not a little million dollar company either. we use vanilla soft, for now, as a main tool to help our clients and our employees succeed. i wish it would work as intended is all. having no access to data beyond a week or so makes tracking KPIs very difficult.

the contact management and ease of setting up and calling campaigns

Cons

data management and access, its almost impossible to pull ANY data outside of a week ago without the dashboard freezing or timing out. been trying to get help for almost a year now with zero success. and was told that it isn't going to happen, a fix, anytime soon.

Overall, VanillaSoft gets the job done. Gives me access to virtually unlimited leads because of my leadership, but more importantly user friendly for anyone that isn't tech savvy.

Pros

The convenience of calling leads, and having features that I didn't know was available, such as being able to save certain contact information.

Cons

My least favorite thing about Vanillasoft would be having to wait 15 seconds before going onto the next number, whenever I know it's a dead contact or has a 24 hour limit.
