It provides me with up to date info on my patients and I can provide the best care possible by ensuring the patient has a smooth transition to wherever he goes on discharge. Pros Everything is at my fingertips. I can easily find demographic information, doctor’s notes, nurses notes, studies, medications, etc. Cons It is busy to look at and I wish things were categorized a little better with bolder titles. Pros AllScripts allows providers to track and maintain records for so many purposes, it works well for all types of medical providers, and once you know where things are it is pretty easy to use. Cons AllScripts has changed their portal login four or five times over the last few years which is a hassle and always takes a day or two where you can't use the portal in the transition time. it also makes you log into the Cloud and the EHR separately which is inconvenient, and the first time a user logs in there is quite a bit of hassle to download the proper software and get it to accept the username and password. July 13, 2021 1.0 I have never in my life worked with such idiotic people or criminals. They bill you outrageously for things they don't even have yet.. for PROTOTYPES.. and then say they have no idea what you are talking about. This is the biggest scheme I have ever come across in my life. There is nothing easy or user friendly about this EHR. I would rather use MENDS than this.. Pros There is not one thing about this software that I like. Cons EVERY feature of this software I dislike. It is an archaic system with too many clicks and logins to get anywhere. Not to mention the price you have to pay for little or no support or help bc you didn't purchase a support team or a certain package. THIS PLACE IS A TOTAL JOKE. RUN AS FAST AS YOU CAN FROM IT!! Clinical IT Used the software for: ### "Allscripts Professional" July 20, 2012 2.0 I would not recommend this system to a new clinic at this time. I wish I could switch to another system. Pros It works to keep medical records in one place. Cons Reporting and OB Records are useless. You cannot easily retrieve meaningful reports. I have been working with support for 6 months to just try and retrieve certain lab and radiology reports. It is not user friendly for multiple practices. Support is terrible even if you get someone you can understand which is rare due to the language barrier. It is not easy to document using information from a previous visit. There are always bugs and I am tired of hearing "that case is with development". I am tired of training support on the system. They should be training me. Output manager is too complicated. Training was extensive and customer service courtesy and knowledge was like not other. Pros Ease of use, functionality was impeccable! Pros The ease of use and accessibility for Allscripts is great. It's easy to learn and manage for any need you may have. Cons It takes a really long time to load so some of my patients get really impatient. It also reloads the software if you leave it for a while which is great in terms of patient security, but once again, it takes forever to reload. Review Source DA Dennis A. Have to do double entry to progress note. It doesn't print a workable prenatal record. Just the flow sheet of prenatal visit with a bunch of individual progress note. It may be ok for some primary specialties. But certainly not for Ob/GYN. Pros nothing Cons Not user friendly, multiple clicks to accomplish a simple task, doesn't really talk to other systems, unless you pay extra off course. Review Source JP Jennifer P. Pros It has a lot of functionality, a lot can be done and documentation can be followed and found easily. Cons It is hard to customize templates and work with output manager. Some of the way to handle entering results could be made easier. It lacks the medical use side. I think that maybe actual users should be part of the design since we understand the actual use of the program. Navigation is easy, orders are straightforward, and scheduling is non complicated. I've been very pleased. We've only had one instance of an urgent ticket that took what we deemed too long to solve. Pros It is a fairly easy product to use once you get through training and figure it out. Makes our life easier when it works properly. Cons Sometimes when things go wrong it takes a while to get someone to work your support.
