As a small business, we rely heavily on a stable, well supported IoT platform that we can confidently deploy our client facing applications. The interface is highly customisable, allowing us to tailor dashboards and data visualisation to suit a wide range of use cases without unnecessary complexity. The custom functions are a lifesaver when implementing advanced logic, data transformation, or edge-case handling that goes beyond standard out of the box features. From device ingestion through to analytics, alerts, and visualisation, the platform scales well and remains intuitive for both developers and end users. Ubidots has become a core part of our IoT offering, and we would confidently recommend it to other businesses looking for a flexible, reliable, and well-supported IoT platform. Pros Customer support is fantastic, the tools, including plugins and custom functions, have made it easy to integrate new products, while the continually expanding features allows us to keep adding new functionality and capabilities for our end users. Cons The pricing model around variable limits per device can take some getting used to. It’s easy to exceed the 20 variables limit when expanding an existing deployment, particularly with soil moisture probes where a single sensor can use as many as 24 variables. We understand the rationale, but it’s something to be aware of during system growth. The ability to tweak dashboards and widgets to fit my needs is a big plus, and the advanced features make it really versatile. The support team has been great whenever I needed help, which makes a huge difference. If you're looking for a platform with lots of customization options and an industrial focus, this is a solid choice. Pros As an IoT Integrator, I really like how customizable Ubidots is. The widgets and dashboards make it easy to display data exactly how I want, and the advanced device features give a lot of control over integrations. It’s also great that their support team is responsive and helpful whenever I run into issues. Cons There’s a bit of a learning curve, especially at the beginning.
