Pros Super easy to use for our PTO. User friendly and more affordable than the clunkier software we used last year. Very happy that our team can work together to build a site that works great for our school needs. Cons We are still waiting on a payment transfer but hopefully that will be smooth. The platform allows our PTA to be more efficient with all sign ups and donations in one place instead of using another website for sign ups. The visual look of the page is beautiful and clean and I love how we can even have our own webpage with all our open collections in one place. Pros Clean appearance, easy to set up and easy for our families to use. The value for the cost of our membership is fantastic since it is bundled with our MoneyMinder subscription. Cons Sometimes it’s hard to have to click through so many pages. Example we have a sign up to donate money or items and the first page only shows the option to donate money and you don’t see the option to donate food items until you move on the next page. I'd definitely use again and also recommend to friends who are interested in doing a peer-to-peer fundraiser. Pros The platform had a nice design and visual layout. With the first subscription level, things were quite automated. We ran a peer-to-peer ski "lap-a-thon" and I was the organizer, as well as my son participating. From both an organizational and a participant standpoint, it was quite easy after a little bit of a learning curve. Customer service was great. Organizing and transferring money was a breeze. Cons It was a little challenging to find the correct links to share via text or on social media. I would have liked to attended a demo session but there weren't many that worked for my time frame. Troop Leader Non-Profit Organization Management Used the software for: 1-2 years ### "Joy to use " March 27, 2026 5.0 Cheddar Up has overall been an absolute joy of an experience, my troop leaders and myself love to use it and we don’t have any issues with it. It’s easier for us to create a Cheddar Up for our parents and send a link out versus telling them in person or through email or text and then asking for cash. It’s also good for our service unit since there’s a variety of troops with different ages and levels and needs and we’re able to create a campaign where people can just go and select their needs and pay. Then we can pull a report and see what all is needed. Pros I believe that Cheddar Up has been very helpful in the way that my Girl Scout troop conducts business. We use the upgraded feature and are able to accept money for troop dues for outings that we go on for basic necessities and it has been very easy to use for parents and Troop Leader leaders. Payment processing is not an issue with Cheddar Up. There is a slight fee that our parents pay or we pay for them to use the services but we don’t have to take cash payments anymore and it seems like it’s more convenient for our families. Of course there are many features that Cheddar Up offers so it is a learning curve to get started, but once you get the hang of it, you’re moving very swiftly through the system. Cons There isn’t anything that I don’t like about Cheddar Up services it’s more of you having to learn how to use it to the best of your ability and for what you’re looking for. Highly Recommend" September 6, 2025 5.0 Our overall experience with cheddar up is extremely positive. We are going into our third year with the company and we use it all the time. It has increased our member engagement and fundraising efforts exponentially and we couldn't imagine how we would be able to do all the things we do without it. Pros It is so user-friendly and easy to accept credit cards for our PTA. We love that the fees are paid by the customer and they are cheaper than other credit card platforms. There are so many great templates and different things you can create with your fundraisers and donation drives. We also love the point-of-sale features and how easy it is too transfer the money to our bank account. Cons Some times the credit card reader and point of sale give us trouble in the moment of collecting money. This could be a wifi issue or software issue, but I don't think it is a platform issue. It is super easy to setup a payment link and the questionnaire and forms features make collecting player, member and guest information incredibly easy. Pros Cheddar Up is incredibly easy to quickly setup payment links for team collections, events or other activities we need for our school booster club. Linking to our bank is easy and money transfers are generally 1-2 days. Having the option for donors and payers to cover fees makes sure we raise as much money has possible and is much more affordable than other credit card payment solutions. Cons I've had no bad experiences, but if I had to nitpick, sometimes updated URLs to payment links can be tricky if you're duplicating a collection for a new team or year. " April 16, 2026 5.0 This site has everything you need to get started to and to create custom forms for sign ups as well as waivers for any classes. People using your collection can easily pay for classes using several different methods. It's great. Pros I have been using Cheddar Up for several years now to handle all of my yoga registrations for my classes. It is a comprehensive site that has so many wonderful features from building your forms to adding a waiver and collecting payment. It's easy to use and looks polished and professional too. I love it! Pros I liked most that I was able to hold a repeated event the next year and all of my information was there, secure, and I didn't have to enter it all over again. I like the reporting capabilities. I like that I can look back at past events. Most of all I appreciate the user-friendly, ease of use aspect of Cheddar Up. Cons My only "complaint" was terminology - I was using the term "ticket" and needed to use another one to complete my new event -- however, I can't complain because the Support Team told me exactly what I needed to do and it was fixed immediately! The interface is user-friendly and intuitive making it very simple to create a collection and fine tune settings that meet our needs. Once I’ve designed my collection, and need to recreate it for a new year, I can simply copy it over and update the relevant info. It’s so easy. Downloading data reports for business records is a necessity that is easy to do also. I love watching payments come in too. Sometimes I get hung up on a question or design feature that I can’t figure out, when this happens I simply e-mail the support team and it gets resolved fairly quickly (within a day or so). I would love a function that allows me to resolve the issue immediately though. Currently, I can only either send the email or schedule a call (which always has a long wait time, at least several days, which is way too long). A chat feature would be great. I’d like to explore the functionality of emailing payers directly from Cheddar Up... I’ve avoided doing so because the email sent ties back to the collection name, but that would be confusing to our members. I’d like to have the option to make it a little more personal for our own business purposes, and less tied to the Cheddar Up payment collection. All in all, this is a really great platform. We’ve had positive feedback from our members as well who have found using it very simple and so much more environmentally-friendly and modern than our paper registration we had before Cheddar Up! Pros We use Cheddar Up not to sell an marketable item, but rather to register membership at a community garden and collection annual dues. The feature that attracted me to Cheddar Up was that I could register members, have them sign a liabilty waiver, and collect payment all in one place. It was also key that I could offer our members various payment methods including cash / check if they wanted to avoid processing fees, plus the cash / check payments can still be tracked in Cheddar Up. Cons We also use Cheddar Up to facilitate bulk purchases of items for our members. I’d like to be able to offer various collections, yet have them all go into one cart for a singular payment. For instance, if a member is registering for annual dues they’ll fill out a registration form, sign a waiver and pay. But if they want to buy a bulk item (say a bale of straw), we don’t need them to fill out those forms and waivers. So, I’d rather keep these two items seperate. But by doing so, they'd have to check out twice, which would be inconvenient and could cause them to incur greater processing fees. So, for now they are together in one collection, which is convenient only if the member purchases a bale of straw at the time of registration, but is inconvenient if they decide to purchase this at a later date. Hopefully that explanation makes sense! We are looking to expand and start using the POS feature. Pros Cheddar Up provided a great resource to collect money and data from our customers. We used the platform to sell “tickets” to an event. The reports provided were critical to our ability to keep track of who was on the guest list. The customer service has been excellent. Cons I made a suggestion to customer service to provide a “ticket number” in the customer confirmation email. This will give us a more convenient way to track our guests and their tickets rather than going by name. Many people bought tickets for other people and a ticket number would make the check in line go a little smoother. I built the site, emailed our members, and watched the orders roll in. Perfection! Pros I was so impressed with how easy it was to create a great-looking fundraising page for our Plant Sale. Everyone commented on how great our site looked! I was able to easily build a collection, upload images, add descriptions and provide our buyers with a number of options. I liked the built-in email marketing function and tracking on opens and clicks. The payment processing is simple and secure, and I liked that people could buy with no fee by e-transfer or cheque. I love it and recommend it to all my colleagues. Pros It is so easy to set up events that I can literally do several in no time. It's perfect for us to use for group sign-ups, registration for events, and selling merchandise. I love that users don't have to make an account or download an app. Pros This software makes it so easy for us to make registrations for small groups, collect dues, and sell merchandise. Cons I wish Cheddar Up exported to Google Sheets in addition to Excel.
