Pros We have been using Payroll for Construction for a few years now. The learning curve and ease of use made for a pretty easy transition from our old software. Cons I haven't really come across any things that I don't like. There might be some improvement with some of the reports, but most give me what I need. Always a polite and helpful person on the other end of the phone. I am not techy at all and the ease of using P4C makes it nice for this 60+ gal. Pros For years, we processed payroll in-house that was very time consuming. Also, making sure that all reports were filed timely and correctly just got to be a hassle. P4C checks all the boxes with nothing left unturned and it gives us more time in the office to take care of other important things! Cons There was a learning curve at first but the P4C "first responders" jumped into action and made it all go by quickly and was easily attainable! With the volumes of calls, they receive daily, it has taken longer than I had to finish payroll for someone to call me with help. Other than some error issues on my end with being new to the program it works well for our Businesses needs. Pros I like the fact that it works well for our needs especially being in a Union and all of our Union Deductions and fringes. Your payroll company works better than our previous payroll company! Cons Sometimes getting calls back in a timely fashion can be a problem. I have had some issues that I needed a call back that day and it took more than 24 hrs to get a call back. It has simplified our payroll process quite a bit, and it is nice having easy access to support, which we didn't always have with past providers. Pros I like that P4C handles the taxes for us, as those can be pretty confusing. I appreciate how quickly support gets back to us when we have an urgent issue. I do appreciate supports checks once we submit payroll - there have been a few times they caught some errors for me. I love the employee wage detail report, as well as the timecard history. Those reports have help me tremendously with reporting I have to do. Cons Sometimes it feels like the answers from support can be not a full effort response. We ran into quite a few problems with our fringe, and had to talk to multiple support people to finally get it figured out. I would like more opportunities for custom reporting, although that is more on the accounting side, payroll reports are pretty good. I was VERY disappointed with our support when we first launched - a ton of stuff was set up incorrectly that we didn't realize until way down the road. Getting help can sometimes take days if not weeks. When you have a payroll issue, it is normally VERY time sensitive. Being quick and accurate does not seem to be a priority for P4C. Pros the fact that it is integrated with our financial system. The EE management is OK, not great but passable. Cons Too many to list. IT is not easy to use, the features are not there that we need, it is not intuitive, training is lacking. They are kind and understand my stupid mistakes. They don't mess around and get it done. They don't waste any ones time. Pros 1\. They are able to call me back within 10 - 30 minutes. 2. Every time I do have a problem the person on the other end knows exactly what I'm talking about when trying to explain it. Cons There was one time when a service employees time was deleted (my fault). The person wasn't able to help me out and had to set up another ticket with the dispatch department which was confusing because I have had this happen before and they were able to fix it right away. We hung up and I ended up figuring it out myself and retrieve his time again.
