The company is easy to work with for questions as well. We have been with them since 2015. Pros Payroll4Construction is extremely easy to use for our certified payroll. The reports are easy to understand. The annualization required by New York State is tracked properly by Payroll4Construction. Cons We decided to print our checks in house to save the UPS shipping rates. President Construction Used the software for: 2+ years ### "Payroll4Construction our indispensable employee!" March 3, 2026 5.0 My experience with P4C has been great! When we initially began we were using QuickBooks and it was amazing how our trainer/coordinator handled the account numbers and workers comp codes in QuickBooks. The main reason we we changed our accounting system over to Foundation was because of the professionalism and positive experience with P4C. Payroll4Construction does a much better job of performing payroll than we ever thought of doing and has improved our overall productivity by allowing us to do what we do well. Pros For almost 1/10th of the cost of a payroll clerk, our payroll is processed weekly and direct deposited in our employees accounts. Weekly 941 deposits and quarterly UTC6 reports are completed without a single late payment--that seemed to plague our in house system. The accuracy is incredible and job costing is effortless. Cons First Con turned Pro: Recording time cards into the P4C systems, seemed redundant, time consuming, and left room for error. We are working with WorkMax and now upload reviewed and approved time cards automatically into P4C in seconds. Second Con: We rely heavily on direct deposit and on the rare occasions we have to print a local check we always have to have help. Too much time in between occasions a real check is required has kept us from performing this task with confidence. However, we always receive help quickly when needed. Cons The part that is frustrating is when you need to log a call for help. You wait for a call back or for someone to log the call back to you. Coming from a different payroll provider, it still takes some adjusting. Pros I like how communicative P4C is with payroll runs. I love how helpful every representative is when we are getting a call answered. Cons I did not appreciate the fact that sometimes when we get a call about an issue, it is automatically closed, so if we have any follow-up to the issue after the call, we have to log a whole new issue. February 24, 2026 5.0 I have had some learning to do on my end but have been able to get support, explanations and worksheet showing me what I needed. The call center employees always put a smile on my face and make me feel understood. Pros The ability to have multiple tax jurisdictions in one location for payroll entry. The response and ability of the staff. I have NEVER had an issue they can not resolve quickly and with kindness. They always know what I am asking for even with my limited question. Not having to change the system over and over to run weekly payroll, like I did with Quickbooks. It was a nightmare before we switched. It is worth the extra money to use this system and have your support. Oh and certified payroll is so easy! Cons Nothing really I have zero complaints. I used to not like the layout and how you had to click around so much but now I know why and appreciate it. In the age of AI it is most refreshing to be helped by an actual person - all in the same day! Pros P4C has thought of everything when it comes to Union and Certified Payroll reporting. On top of covering every base their customer service cannot be beat. As a front office worker we can be presented with contracts that require compliance we have not seen and we can call P4C and get a call back the same day to help us set up the project. I can't list every payroll provider that has tempted us to switch but I can tell you that it has been an easy "no" because of service reps like; \[sensitive content hidden\] and too many more to list. The person on the other line is worth their weight in gold. No, auto operators. No call banks or AI. Just the best service you could ever imagine. Cons I came into the company after our account was set up and has to learn from scratch. Thank goodness for the people mentioned above as they essentially trained me: trial by fire. My wish for p4c would be small classes for us,the user or pre recorded topics. The tax department experienced a hiccup but I have been happy with the service and response that \[sensitive content hidden\] has provided. I have seen a huge change in the timliness of response and accuracy but there still seems to be a lot of lag.
