Pros I like that I only have to enter hours once and can submit directly from Foundation to Payroll4Construction. Also, knowing that tax deposits are made timely is big help. Cons Until I understood how sequencing worked, I was confused. Once they explained how P4C knows where to pull information from it all made sense! When I do have an issue, I wish they would take the time to teach me how to fix it rather than just do it for me. Pros We switched to PR4C based on their ability for Mobile Clock in/out AND the option to have the system print our Certified Payrll Reports. Cons Unfortunately their copy of the Rhode Island Certified Payroll Report did not match the requirements that I give the General Contractors when I print those reports. It takes days to weeks to have a ticket resolved because there is no on-demand customer service. Pros It works for basic needs like securely housing employee information, submitting payroll, and generating annual tax forms. Cons The system itself is very clunky, outdated, and hard to navigate. Everything is spread out across the platform and it makes for more administrative burden. Setting up any part of it is a bear. Employees cannot access their own profiles, paystubs, or tax forms within the system. Customer service requires you to submit tickets and the length of time it takes to get a call back is outrageous. It has simplified our payroll process quite a bit, and it is nice having easy access to support, which we didn't always have with past providers. Pros I like that P4C handles the taxes for us, as those can be pretty confusing. I appreciate how quickly support gets back to us when we have an urgent issue. I do appreciate supports checks once we submit payroll - there have been a few times they caught some errors for me. I love the employee wage detail report, as well as the timecard history. Those reports have help me tremendously with reporting I have to do. Cons Sometimes it feels like the answers from support can be not a full effort response. We ran into quite a few problems with our fringe, and had to talk to multiple support people to finally get it figured out. I would like more opportunities for custom reporting, although that is more on the accounting side, payroll reports are pretty good. I was VERY disappointed with our support when we first launched - a ton of stuff was set up incorrectly that we didn't realize until way down the road. If you ever run into a problem they do call you back quickly. It covers a lot of areas of payroll and employee tracking. Cons I don't have any issue to report with payroll4Construction. Cons I really like that I receive a phone call when I need help, but I would prefer a email response and then maybe a follow up call if necessary. The call center employees always put a smile on my face and make me feel understood. Pros The ability to have multiple tax jurisdictions in one location for payroll entry. The response and ability of the staff. I have NEVER had an issue they can not resolve quickly and with kindness. They always know what I am asking for even with my limited question. Not having to change the system over and over to run weekly payroll, like I did with Quickbooks. It was a nightmare before we switched. It is worth the extra money to use this system and have your support. Oh and certified payroll is so easy! Cons Nothing really I have zero complaints. I used to not like the layout and how you had to click around so much but now I know why and appreciate it. That is rare. And they respond fast and prompt. It doesn't matter who you talk to, everyone is capable to solve or at least point you in the right direction where you will get your answer for sure. Cons The timeline of processing payroll. It is too short on Monday to finish payroll by 2pm. Our week ends on Sunday and most of the weeks it is a diverse payroll. And for us it is too short and rushed to be done by 2pm on Monday. In the age of AI it is most refreshing to be helped by an actual person - all in the same day! Pros P4C has thought of everything when it comes to Union and Certified Payroll reporting. On top of covering every base their customer service cannot be beat. As a front office worker we can be presented with contracts that require compliance we have not seen and we can call P4C and get a call back the same day to help us set up the project. I can't list every payroll provider that has tempted us to switch but I can tell you that it has been an easy "no" because of service reps like; \[sensitive content hidden\] and too many more to list. The person on the other line is worth their weight in gold. No, auto operators. No call banks or AI. Just the best service you could ever imagine. Cons I came into the company after our account was set up and has to learn from scratch. Thank goodness for the people mentioned above as they essentially trained me: trial by fire. My wish for p4c would be small classes for us,the user or pre recorded topics. The tax department experienced a hiccup but I have been happy with the service and response that \[sensitive content hidden\] has provided. I have seen a huge change in the timliness of response and accuracy but there still seems to be a lot of lag. It would also be helpful if the tax department could offer direction but we do understand that this is on us.
