I like the system, however, sometimes I feel frustrated with its limits on the HR front, payroll reporting. I do appreciate the support team and their handing of all the payroll tax forms. I would like a faster response.

I like the support we have in processing the payroll specially dealing with all the tax return forms.

Cons

I would like better reports. I always struggle to get the information needed on reports. there should be a better way to get reports with all the data foundation has.

The best. No complaints whatsoever. There has never been one time that they were unable to help me.

Pros

There is always someone available to help me either when I have a question or when I need to know how to do/fix/handle something. Their knowledge and advice has been invaluable to me. I try not to bother them too much by learning and handling my own problems, but when I'm desperate for their help, it's always a pleasure dealing with them. Thank you for all you do. My company moved to them almost a year ago and it was the smartest move we made, we searched them out due to their knowledge with Unions and we just signed with 3 different unions. They have made my job run smoother.

Pros

The customer support is phenomenal. I relied on them quite a bit in the beginning, and they always provide confident, patient guidance. If I didn’t understand something, they stayed on the phone until I fully understood and felt confident handling it myself.

Cons

The software does have a bit of a learning curve, but the trainer who helped me, \[sensitive content hidden\] is incredibly patient and kind—you never feel rushed.

I was very impressed by the willingness to answer all my naive questions. The employees I have dealt with during the setup process and since have always been helpful and took the time to make sure that I knew what I needed to do to process a complete and accurate payroll. Even if I needed to call in and have a repeat tutorial.

Pros

I like the customer service. As a new client as well as new to the construction industry, I felt that I was guided carefully through the setup process as well as processing my first several payrolls.

Cons

I cannot think of something that I would criticize Payroll4Construction for at this time. I am grateful for their patience. While I have done accounting for 40 years, this is my first experience with Union payroll requirements and benefits.

Good experience. Learning curve if changing from Quickbooks. Once you get use to posting each step, its easy.

Pros

Reliability and sources available to support the software. Nice having support available for any issues that I run into. May reports available as well.

Cons

I don't like that it doesn't automatically post transactions once entered. Sometimes a response from support takes a little longer that what I like. You have improved. Same day service is needed sometimes; not next day.

I'm so glad we decided to purchase P4C in our package. The ease of use has been a simple transition and from the Sales Agent to the Training Staff and Customer Support Team, P4C delivers the quality experience you hope for.

Pros

P4C has made payroll so much more efficient. If I ever do run into a problem, contacting customer support is a breeze and they are friendly and help resolve the issue quickly.

Cons

I find some of the wording for L type payroll vs W type payroll a bit confusing in the pop-up prompts and questions. I'd like to see things have a bit more common language.

Overall all the questions and issues that we encountered were solved by P4C. Any calls we had with P4C were solved no problem.

Pros

Friendly and knowledgeable personnel. That is rare. And they respond fast and prompt. It doesn't matter who you talk to, everyone is capable to solve or at least point you in the right direction where you will get your answer for sure.

Cons

The timeline of processing payroll. It is too short on Monday to finish payroll by 2pm. Our week ends on Sunday and most of the weeks it is a diverse payroll. And for us it is too short and rushed to be done by 2pm on Monday.

Pros

Payroll 4 Construction is very user-intuitive, has outstanding customer support with rapid turnaround times, and is a great value for the money. They are always improving system functionality and product offerings.

Cons

Sometimes the tax department gets back logged and response times can be longer than normal. I would also recommend longer session times before user gets logged out.

It was ok. There were things that I did like and things i didn't like. I do not think it is worth what it costs.

Pros

I liked that I was able to call support and not have to wait on hold for hours. You were able to get in touch with support very easily.

Cons

That is was not user friendly. That once you post, you cant go back and change something. It had to be voided and redone.

The connection to Foundation is one of the biggest benefits. Not having to do something in two places or record a journal entry separately from payroll processing is great.

Cons

Response time around year-end from the tax department on any issues, questions or corrections. Also, lack of communication on year-end matters.

Payroll seems to go smoother and smoother week after week. The more I use it the easier it is every week. Love that it is directly integrated with our accounting.

Very easy to use and the worry of being sure everything is filed on time is a relief. Love the costing directly to the job.

Can't say that I have found any great cons about it. At first there were some learning errors but mostly in setups of new jobs and us still learning the system.

Overall, I am very happy with my experience working with P4C. Their service team are all super kind and helpful assisting with the implementation process and I am excited for the time-saving benefits that P4C will be providing our small business during this new year of 2026 allowing myself more availability to dedicate more of my work schedule to other duties that are in need of attention within my position.

Pros

Convenient and hassle-free payroll tax processing handled by P4C leaves you with an ease of mind knowing that everything is being handled at a competitive cost that is definitively giving your business the bang for its buck.

Cons

The onboarding / implementation process is pretty extensive and does require some dedicated time... HOWEVER, in order for everything to be up and running smoothly, the extra leg work at the beginning goes a long way for the future ensuring everything is operating as smoothly as possible.

Our entire experience, from implementation to customer service, to banking and tax departments has been stress-free and wonderful. Would highly recommend to other construction entities.

Pros

The customer support is top notch- the customer service reps are always super helpful, and no issue is ever too big or too small. Additionally, the product is well priced given the peace of mind in knowing that withholding filings are taken care of with expertise and guess work is taken off the plates of our internal payroll department.

Cons

I do wish the system had a "gross up" feature for bonuses, vs having to kind of estimate and go back and forth to reach a close net check figure.

It's been a great experience so far. Training is easy and they always work around your schedule. Questions are always answered fast.

Pros

Makes certified payroll easy. Pulling union contribution reports is easy, and makes monthly union processing easier that what we have ever used before.

Cons

It takes a little more time than I would like, to get everything set up and going. But it was worth it as it took my union and certified payroll processing from 3 hours to less than 30 min.

Payroll4Construction does accomplish our main goal which was filing payroll taxes in multiple cities. Payroll process is cumbersome, when compared to other software.

Pros

Payroll4Construction has a very responsive support call center. They are quick to react to problems that occur when processing payroll to ensure it can be completed in a time-effect manner.

Cons

Multiple steps are requiredto complete processes. When processing payroll, hard to go back and make corrections. Multiple sign ons and steps to accomplish tasks are really hard in the beginning. Wish everything could be integrated into one sign on.

Pros

It allows us to sync our labor job costing seamlessly with our accounting software. Our dedicated payroll specialist is fantastic.

Cons

It doesn't sync easily with outside applications, such as our 401k, health and dental benefit platforms.

I've had a great experience with P4C overall. \[sensitive content hidden\] was an awesome teacher when we first obtained the software. My only critique would be that support be more responsive via email.

Pros

Ability to add in union funds and quickly calculate totals. I also like the no frills formatting of adding/deleting employees.

Cons

Learning curve on software and reporting usage. Also support won't email, they insist on calling which is not always convenient.

It is very easy to use, their wasn't much or a learning curve to using it. The customer support is great!

Overall, I've had a pleasant experience with P4C and have not ran into many issues with it. Coming from a different payroll provider, it still takes some adjusting.

Pros

I like how communicative P4C is with payroll runs. I love how helpful every representative is when we are getting a call answered.

Cons

I did not appreciate the fact that sometimes when we get a call about an issue, it is automatically closed, so if we have any follow-up to the issue after the call, we have to log a whole new issue.

Payroll corrections and adjustments can be a bit cumbersome with Payroll4construction. Timecards take a bit of time to get used to as well.
