Overall, the experience with Engage Spaces has been phenomenal. I would highly recommend any organization that wants to improve engagement with their end user, help the innovative and collaboration working environment increase and use a product that works amazing on their mobile devices. We look forward to integrating more of our organization with Engage Spaces in the months to come.

Pros

Engage Spaces has a great team that helps identify the needs of our organization and helps us think through solutions that help our processes and our approach to data. Our organization is decentralized and Engage Spaces allows us to empower our staff and volunteers to help us accomplish critical organizational activities with ease. At the forefront is the ability to identify organizational participants easily and gives us an opportunity to invite key participants into further engagement through the platform and unlocks opportunities for collaboration, accountability and greater effectiveness overall. Key features we utilize are the event scheduling and ticketing module, the online courses module, the location administration of participants, the workspace and task module and the sign up/onboarding options within Engage Spaces for new participants to join us. In the future, we look forward to make use of the multilingual support that Engage Spaces has as we release a French for our Quebecois ministry.

Cons

As a newer company, I found the user interface not as polished and can sometimes cause confusion with the end user on how to use certain features. However, the Engage Spaces team is very responsive and I appreciate that these concerns are addressed in a timely manner.

We made the switch because Google Sheets was not a secure environment to collect participant information and the interface and sharing capabilities were not conducive for our working processes with volunteers. Finding Engage Spaces also addressed other platforms we were using so when we signed on with Engage Spaces, it made sense to migrate from other platforms into one and to realize the cost savings of doing so.

Reasons for choosing Engage Spaces

First and foremost was the fit. Engage Spaces is experienced in helping organizations with a decentralized structure and high volunteer base. The features available to users in Engage Spaces checked many of the boxes we were looking for in a platform solution. Second, was the fact that they were a mobile first product that had all the features in the mobile app that you had on the desktop application. Third, was the cost - Engage Spaces helped us save the cost of using many platforms.

Couldn't function in my role without it

Pros

The collaboration and data management features that Engage Spaces provides is essential to my day to day workflow. I would be lost without it.

Cons

There is a bit of a learning curve at the beginning. The wealth of features can be a little overwhelming at first, but after the initial learning curve it's great!
