I recommend it to every groomer who is looking for a better, easier app to use for scheduling and client profiles. Pros I think Groomer.IO is one of the easiest apps I’ve used. I have a a lot of trouble learning, especially when things are more complex like other apps I’ve tried. Groomer.io gave me ease of mind with how simple it is to use, with the added bonus that they work with squareup! They send appointment confirmations and reminders to all my clients, so I don’t have to worry about checking in myself, when I have other things I’m worrying about. Cons I haven’t found anything yet that I don’t really like about groomer.io. I would have to use it for a lot longer to see if there’s something I’m not fond of. Reason for choosing Groomer.io Ease of use. It doesn’t have any unnecessary complicated functions. It is straight forward and everything is very easy to find and use/access. It is what I use to make sure my employees are booked up each and every day, and it’s what my employees use to work their route and complete each service from start to finish. I’m so happy that we found a solution that checks all the boxes of what we need to run a successful mobile grooming business.And the Groomer.io team is second-to-none. I know we are in good hands with their help. Pros Groomer.io is one of the easiest apps to use from the client’s side. Your clients don’t have to download an app into their phone in order to use your services. They can do their intake forms and appointment requests straight from your website, and when they get notifications or reminders, they receive a normal SMS text message to their phone, so they can’t miss it. They also get an automated phone call when their groomer is on the way.This is honestly the most high-tech solution developed with a low-tech audience in mind. Cons The initial set up and implementation was not the easiest thing process, and this is coming from someone who considers themselves very tech-savvy. There was a lot of walking through with the support team (which is awesome by the way) initially to get everything to function the way I wanted it to function. Once everything works as it should, though, it is a smooth experience. MoeGo is more popular and established, however it requires customers to download an app, and at-a-glance, it didn’t seem to have a lot of website integration. An app that integrated intake/appointment scheduling features that I can link to straight from our website was extremely important for our marketing purposes, since we needed to be able to track traffic and conversion data. Pros I love the two-way messaging and automated calls to let the pet parent know their dog is ready to be picked up at the end of the appointment. it is a very convenient feature that many of my clients like as well. I also like that we are able to save the client's card on file to charge in the case of a no-call or no-show, or there is the option to charge a deposit. Cons I don't like that the payment processing fees for using a card that is saved on file for a client are more than the processing fee if I were to physically swipe the card in person with my client. They offer the option to save a payment card on file yet we are charged a higher percentage and base fee for using that option as a way to pay for a clients grooming services. It’s just me, so having groomer.io is like having an employee but without the cost, headache, or scrambling when they call in sick! This system is super easy to use for me and my clients! Clients tell me all the time how much they enjoy the ease of booking online and paying their bill before they leave their couch! Cons The only thing that would make this system better would to be able to send pictures through the text system. However, I heard it was in the works. So that will be such a great feature added! Groomer IO is the best! Pros This program is so easy to use. It’s customizable so I don’t feel like I need to adjust my business to use it. I really like how they listen to their clients. I’ve made several suggestions on changes that would benefit us, only to see it implemented a few weeks later. I’ve experienced very few issues, and ones that come up are remedied within a few hours. Most of all, this software has allowed us to not need a full time staff member to schedule, onboard new clients, and process payments. We have saved THOUSANDS each year in decreased payroll by using Groomer IO. It’s the best improvement I’ve ever made to our business. Cons Our business works on appointments and I wish Groomer IO would clients to make an appointment online. Right now, they can only make a schedule request. Pros The customer support is amazing and overall the system is pretty straight forward and easy to teach to my employees. Cons I wish it was more mobile grooming friendly. I would like to be able to see drive distance without being in smart book mode. I find the smart book mode is not helpful at all for it will not show everyone's openings, just the last groomer. It also will do more than the weeks I requested without any indication of doing so. I also wish the texts were not so expensive, especially when clients send me every sentence separately when writing us. Reason for choosing Groomer.io I like that it was an app and was focused specifically towards mobile. Other programs I did trials with were confusing with tons of fields for every client. Groomer.io made everything simple and it is a very affordable program. Others I tried charged a ton for features I didn’t want or need! Groomer:io has everything I need Cons Mobile routing assistance could be better, I wish it showed me the miles between stops on every screen instead of just some. On some screens it only tells you the minutes not the miles. Wish I could fully customize my confirmation messages instead of selecting from premade messages.
