Pros

  • The customer service has been the best feature of On the Stage. Everyone has been wonderful to work with, and is very responsive to questions.

  • They are constantly striving to improve an already great product, and on top of that they are a company that truly cares about your success.

  • They are constantly striving to improve an already great product, and on top of that they are a company that truly cares about your success.

  • Easy to implement, and easy to maintain. The staff is friendly, knowledgeable, and very eager to help you succeed.

Cons

  • I don't necessarily think that our problems should be something fixed, I just think this platform is for someone who isn't us. I still 100% recommend On The Stage to anyone doing traditional shows.

  • We had a terrible time with social media integration, and other advertising features and were never able to get help to make them work properly.

  • Zoom in/zoom out function on seating chart is way too sensitive and results in screen getting shrunk or expanded to ridiculous proportions.

  • I find it difficult to fix certain mistakes or delete mistake/test shows.

"OTS is a must have for my department"

Overall: Using OTS is an important and valued part of what we do in my educational program. I could not do what I do as well without OTS.

Pros: Ease of use, user friendly, automatic email marketing

Cons: There have been times when I've gotten a bit confused but another great thing about OTS is that they continually update and improve.

Switched From: Brown Paper Tickets
Reasons for Switching to On the Stage: OTS was more user friendly and had more options.

"Why I Use On The Stage"

Overall: This product is great! We can use it minimally for just credit card and ticket sales or expand it for other purposes such as marketing, fundraising and even sales.

Pros: We can easily manage our credit card sales, sell merch without a cash outlay, and promote our shows.

Cons: It is difficult to upload merch or make changes to the established template (for example, if I want just a small logo on the shirt, I can't do it.)

"I love it "

Overall: I love it. It has helped so much! I cannot believe how much it has to offer.

Pros: I love on the stage it allows us to not only have a website, but it helps us advertise for shows and fundraisers. Without on the stage I do not think we would have been able to pul off the fundraiser we just finished or reach all the people we did.

Cons: I wish the emails that go out for scheduled fundraisers were a little more customizable

Alternatives Considered: Google Forms and Zeffy
Reasons for Choosing On the Stage: Everything is in one place which makes it that much easier to manage for our theatre company.

"Great Customer Service"

Overall: Overall, I feel On the Stage works incredibly well for ticket sales and fundraising for organizations that don't have a lot of time to commit to either function.

Pros: The customer service has been the best feature of On the Stage. Everyone has been wonderful to work with, and is very responsive to questions.

Cons: I wish I was able to use the program for communication with our donors and patrons, outside of ticket sales and fundraising.

Switched From: Brown Paper Tickets
Reasons for Switching to On the Stage: Brown Paper Tickets made some terrible financial decisions that resulted in organizations not getting paid.
