Pros

I like how easy Square Loyalty is to set up and how well it works with the Square POS system. Customers only need their phone number, and everything is tracked automatically. It feels modern, simple, and keeps clients engaged without extra effort.

Cons

I’ve been using Square Loyalty since it was first made available. It’s gained a lot of functionality over the years and is very robust. Customers love it and it’s easy to setup and manage

Pros

It’s a a built in solution that’s very easy to setup and manage. The customer just enters their phone number when at the register and it automatically gives them their loyalty rewards

Cons

You have to be able to tailor your loyalty program within the framework that Square has set up. It won’t allow you to do truly custom rewards

The programme works well but it would be nice to some improvement just to help with customer sign-up to collect relevant customer data.

Pros

I like the close integration with the customer database so you can look to tailor a closer relationship with your customer. Also using tech rather than old fashioned loyalty cards seems the way forward.

Cons

It would be nice to have more control over things like capturing emails, and specific data like birthdays at sign-up. Also tailoring the wording of programme on automated communication so it resonates the essence of the brand.

Overall, it’s a convenient loyalty solution for businesses using Square with all of the fatures you need and not a lot of extra to complicate things.

Pros

Setup is simple, customers can enroll quickly, and rewards are automatically tracked, which makes it easy for both us and the customer with no punch cards to try and keep track of. It has definitely helped encourage repeat purchases.

Cons

It is a little more expensive than similar programs and you have to continue using Square for payment processing.

I have tried many loyalty systems, including Fishbowl Marketing, Constant Contact, Boom, Givex, etc. Square hands down is the best.

Pros

Stupid simple. Fully integrated with Square. You can control and manage the system as needed. You also have fraud control to see if anyone is manipulating the system.

Cons

Understanding the sweet spot of how to get the most from Square Loyalty. For example, should you use dollars, visits, or points? What is the optimal threshold?

I wish it could just be overhauled and sharpened up more. its got some great functionality but it just doesn't really hit the mark. If the system was sorted we would certainly use loyalty to its full potential. As it stands its not there...yet!

Pros

The fact it is integrated with the rest of the Square Eco system allowing us to capture sales data which we can use along side our marketing effort for direct and target marketing campaigns

Cons

There are some very good elements but it struggles in places. One of the biggest issues for us in the UK is that Loyalty is built around mobile numbers and text marketing. We can not capture emails for marketing purposes easily (important as we do a lot of business via email especially ad text marketing is not available in the UK) when using the loyalty program. We use the Square Register and some flexibly to control the fields we want to capture form the Register CFD would be great. For us name, mobile number for Loyalty, email for marketing communications and DOB as an option. Also we uses the signup link but its a two step/page process for mobile number them email address input. All these things do not allow for complete information capture and puts off customers when too cumbersome.

Overall, Square Loyalty has been great. It's user-friendly, our customers understand it right away, and it’s helped us drive repeat business without needing to overthink it.

Pros

I really like how simple it is to set up and use. It’s built right into the POS, so everything flows smoothly without needing extra tools or apps. It just works. Also love that it works with API so our app works seamlessly

Cons

Honestly not a lot of downsides. I do wish there were a few more customization options for rewards, but it’s not a dealbreaker. Overall it's pretty solid.

Pros

Easy to use and automated. That makes my job much more easier. I like the automated feature very much.

Cons

It cost a little more because you also have the transaction fees you are responsible for too. Maybe if there was a discount on having this feature that would help.

Well of course we went from the old paper punch cards to this. It's all in the reports! You can keep up with your program with ease. "Not going Back"

Pros

Currently over 62% of sales are from our over 20,000 Loyalty Customers. Simple, clean, fast and easy. Also very customizable to your business.

Cons

Don't have any Cons as of now. Square great about keeping the program up to date.

It has been helpful and eliminated stamp cards, and also taken the guesswork out of what is earned with each point tier. It also helped us condense point systems -instead of a separate stamp card for whole bean coffee or food items, it’s all in one.

Pros

It’s great to be able to customize it so much

Cons

The cost feels a little high, sometimes I’m unclear on how many users are actively using it. Because it’s based on amount of users, I feel that I’m paying for more than is necessary when someone signs up once and isn’t a return or frequent customer

Pros

Pros

Square Loyalty makes it extremely easy to track my most loyal customers. Also, I can customize promotional materials specifically to my most loyal customers, which, of course, makes them even BETTER customers.
