Comments: Chiropractic based program. Easy to use. Very helpful support.

Pros: Simple point and click features. Accurate information and reporting. Outstanding communication between the scheduling/billing/patient information program and the clinical program. Clear and concise medical records. Too many features to list! And, when we had a severe issue of hacking, Acom was able to "re-create" our old database in a timely manner, without affecting our daily operations.

Cons: Payment posting could be a little time consuming at first, but it was very accurate. No other complaints to list.

Comments: We are a very small practice which includes the provider, the office manager and one other employee. The size of our practice did not matter to ACOM. We were treated as if we were one of ACOM¿s biggest and most important accounts. Our project manager/trainer was knowledgeable and patient with our many questions and concerns. Anytime I have needed to get in touch with her, all I had to do was email or leave a voice message and I knew she would be calling back ASAP. I would recommend ACOM for any Chiropractic office that is looking to upgrade their Practice Management and EHR software.

Pros: Being cloud based has been an added plus for our office. Dr. Perns has the luxury of logging in from home or any location with Wifi and completing his patient notes at his convenience. We have the peace of mind knowing that all ACOM¿s staff has completed Basic HIPAA Privacy and Security Compliance and that ACOM is completely HIPAA compliant. With our office being extremely small, we have utilized the appointment reminders which has saved us time and money. Our patients have appreciated the text and or email reminders prior to their scheduled appointments. I am very excited and looking forward to utilizing RAPID PM¿s collection module. The idea of touching base with insurance companies is not a pleasant thought. ACOM¿s collections screen will allow me to pull my A/R at 120 days out and group the various insurance companies together, saving me the time it takes to continue to call back and be placed on hold.

Cons: It takes time to get used to a new product. No one likes change. I have found that getting into the product it the best answer.

RAPID software is very intuitive and user friendly. I have found ACOMHealth to have an excellent staff. Onboarding and training was a totally awesome experience all the way around.

Comments: We left our current software vendor because of extremely poor service and support. Our experience with ACOMHealth and its staff has been a breath of fresh air. Our project manager/trainer was right by our side during the entire installation, training and rollout process. Aside from our prescheduled training sessions our project manager/trainer also met with us on Friday's to ensure everything was going smoothly. With ACOMHealth¿s guidance and assistance we were able to roll out 6 locations with 10 providers and numerous employees simultaneously effortlessly.

Pros: As the head biller and a main contact for our 6 locations, RAPID provides me visibility to activity within all of our locations since we are ¿Cloud Based¿. RAPID¿s interactive Appointment Dashboard provides me real-time Appointment, Charge and Patient collections information for each location. From a claims management perspective, I¿m able to easily review Charges and make corrections before they¿re posted. Submitting claims electronically has never been easier using RAPID¿s Clearinghouse integration. And we¿re also able to handle our PIP claims more efficiently using RAPID¿s CMS Claim/Note printing feature which allows us to print our Claims and Encounter notes at the same time. Preformatted reports are easy to access, run and understand and I¿m even able to create my own reports using Report Builder.

Cons: As head biller of 6 locations, for internal audit purposes, I conduct retrospective reviews of the claims that we¿ve submitted/printed. Although there are ways to review claims with RAPID that have already been submitted/through the normal claims cycle, I wish it was easier/faster to do. My project manager/biller tells me this item is already on Development¿s radar.

Pros: It's compliant with Medicare rules/updates and is very detailed when taking doctor notes. The excellent job the software does with documentation allows any doctor to feel confident in their patient management. Also very good with managing each patients account for billing.

Cons: You can make quarterly payments but they charge you an 'administrative fee' of 1%.

Overall: better compliance with Medicare and other private insurance groups

Comments: We have been able to receive the maximum benefit from Medicares' EHR and PQRS programs due to Rapids' calculation dashboards and ACOM's grasp of intricate rules and regulations. We anticipate the same success with the new MIPS program.

Pros: Our practice has been using Rapid and AHPM for 5 years and both programs just keep getting better and easier to use. Updates are frequent, meaningful and well-supported by both technical and training staff. The Billing Dashboard is so easy to use that our Accounts Receivable is managed by one part time staff. Reports are accurate and varied in scope and application.

Cons: Doctor would appreciate more shortcuts in the documentation process, such as diagnosis and treatment plans populating from the initial visit to the next daily note.

Comments: The videos were helpful to watch in advance so that I received an understanding on the format of the software. Viewing the videos/tutorial prior to data entry was key.

Pros: Downloading ERAs & auto-posting ERAs so quick and easy. The support staff was very understanding, patient & kind with me when we had our conference calls on training. She calmed my frustrations and anxiety thru the learning curve.

Cons: It has taken me awhile to figure out how to make changes to charges that have already been uploaded, make the change and then re-upload.

Pros: Easy to learn and very user friendly! Scheduling, billing, posting and reports are all very efficient, accurate and professional. Definitely worth the low price (compared to other similar products). The support staff is completely helpful, friendly, available and knowledgeable. I save time and money every day my practice is open!

Cons: I do not have any complaints at this time. I have used the program for over 2 years and any issues that have come up have been resolved quickly with little to no down time.

Comments: So far ACOM Health is very user friendly. I do not need to use a manual it is set up with the good patient flow.

Pros: It has a good charting and set up for a chiropractic practice. It has many forms built into the software so their is less scanning and adding to charts.

Cons: It would benefit from a internal fax system. Also the EHR and PM are integrated but a little choppy going back and forth.

Comments: We have been using ACOM since 2013, the self check-in option is great for patient, it also comes in Spanish

Pros: Self-check in documentation part is really easy and fast

Cons: 1. Does not allow electronic faxing, reports can't automatically be faxed to attorneys or adjusters. 2. Does NOT include unlimited data usage, you have to buy more storage after certain GB, but other systems are completely free & unlimited 3. Does not allow direct integration with web exercises or Naomi x-ray software, can not incorporate x-rays to patient's report 4. PM portion and billing system is complicated, so many screens and clicks 4. Comparing to other software's, it's expensive, you have to pay more for every little addition such as advertising & emailing patients, texting to patients about missed appointments, ... 5. The rapid doc does not sync with other billing software, meaning if you don't like their PM/billing portion, you are stock. 6. Pain diagram at the self-check in portion can be improved since it does not completely explain patient's pain location.

Recommendations to other buyers: Overall, I like the Rapid Doc not the billing portion.

Comments: Our clinic purchased the software and had our front office trained. Long story short, our office manager was resisting technology and any growth in the practice that would increase patient visits. After we became aware of the situation ACOM was more than happy to train our new employees with as much time and dedication as had been invested in our training program when we made the initial purchase. The software has functioned exactly as described. Because of the support from ACOM, we were able to have a college student with no medical or office background handle all the functions that the prior office manager with ten years of billing experience was doing and then some. ACOM is easy to use. The screens are intuitive and it saves a lot of employee time.

Pros: Easy to use

Cons: We had one morning when the system was down for about two hours, but it was back online soon enough to avoid any big problems. We totally rely on it and do not keep a backup schedule in a paper form so it has to be available.

Recommendations to other buyers: Watch the help video or try it to see how easy the screens are to use and how much time your front office can save by using this software instead of paper billing or billing via a service like MDOnline (we had) or directly billing via payers websites.

Comments: We did demos with 6 total EHR companies that were specific for Chiropractors. We chose Rapid because of the high level of compliance related to medical billing, ICD 10, Medicare, etc. They constantly update the software and codes when things change. So, they have removed a lot of the headaches that come with trying your best to be compliant in an ever changing medical world. Also, the customer support is amazing! Everytime we call we get our answer right away and have a personal contact too. So, we get to continue to run the business without any delays if a problem/question arises related to our software. I couldn't be happier with our decision to purchase.

Pros: customer service and compliance

Cons: there are basically 2 programs. One is the notes side, and the other the practice managment side. They play together quite well, but sometimes you have to jump back in forth between the two before you can move forward as a whole.

Recommendations to other buyers: I have no worries about audits. The notes side of the program does a phenomenal job for documentation and compliance.

Comments: Overall quite good. There are some issues with communication between the practice management (billing) software and Rapid (the Document software), but I think these will be improved. At the end of the day, I am able to produce complete and professional notes. The road to create them often includes more steps than seems necessary. I'm sure this could be streamlined, but it's not bad once you get used to it.

Pros: I can create complete and detailed initial and final reports VERY easily. The integration with outcomes assessments is brilliant.

Cons: There just seems to be more steps than necessary to complete some tasks. The Kiosk can gather pain information from the patient on daily visits, but it is not intuitive, and often does not reflect the pain pattern that the patient is actually experiencing...I have to modify it. Still, it's easier than writing out the whole thing myself.

Recommendations to other buyers: This is worth it for me. Our office appears cutting edge, and we are able to gather information from the patient that goes straight into the notes.

Comments: I have worked with Lashon in the Billing Department for months. Lashon is wonderful. Lashon is detail oriented, and quick. Lashon will answer questions, and she always has a solution for any problem. Within minutes any billing question I had has been resolved. Lashon will talk to patients, if they have questions. Lashon is wonderful! I have been assured that the entire Billing Service is top notch. But Lashon is an angel! I would not want to run my practice without Lashon.

Pros: Checks keep coming to the office, I scan them, and they are applied. This saves me hours of time each week. It is all done correctly. Lashon does all the additional billing paperwork surrounding Workaman's Comp and PI. She fixes any mistakes I have made, and she is kind when she does it.

Cons: If insurance billing is not what you love, Hire the billing team to do it for you. The only con is that you didn't sign up sooner!

Comments: The software has quite a bit of what I feel is overclick here and there, but you get used to it. Overall, great functioning system and I believe it will get better and better. The training and customer support is superb. You rarely have to leave a message and often speak to an agent immediately. My rep was the best person I've ever had train us on a software program. She is so patient and if she doesn't know will get you the answer.

Pros: Very accurate with little to no glitches

Cons: Have to click, save, click, click, click, save open new screen, go here go there.

Pros: I want to take this opportunity to express how much I, along with Dr. Hines, appreciates our biller, Fred Lamp. This young man is very knowledgeable about the software. We are impressed by his willingness to help both myself and our staff whenever the need arises. He is also very conscientious and motivated to do the best possible job for his clients. Both Dr. Hines and myself feel Fred has gone above and beyond as our biller. He is definitely an asset to ACOM Health and absolutely an asset to our Chiropractic office. Great job Fred, well done!!! I also want to say I like that the company is willing to develop individualized reports for their clients and are always working on enhancements to the software. Kudos also to IT support! Erika is always willing to walk me through developing personalized reports for our office. She is friendly and extremely helpful.

Cons: It would be beneficial if clients were able to contact them earlier than 8:am and later than 6:00pm. We begin our day at 7:00am and usually are not done until 6:00pm. Our office is extremely fast paced and the workload doesn't leave much free time for phone calls.

Recommendations to other buyers: Take advantage of their software preview. They are extremely helpful and willing to address any questions you may have regarding the software.

Pros: RAPID is an absolutely invaluable solution, from how easy it is to implement, to how robust the software is compared to systems costing thousands of dollars more. They have an outstanding customer service and tech support team, which is assigned just to our office. They have all worked well together in helping us integrate this new program.

Cons: To date, there is not a single complaint to report about the product or vendor.

Recommendations to other buyers: Dr. Caitlin comes highly recommended in my book. She will walk you through the demo (more than once, in my case), and answer all your questions so you are comfortable before making a purchase. She then sets you up with your own team that will offer a variety of different training options and times. They want to offer you the chance to be up and running ASAP, though they understand every practice has its own pace and schedule....ACOM people get it!

Pros: The customer service reps were all very friendly and very prompt to respond to my concerns.

Cons: Because it is so comprehensive, it is also fairly cumbersome to work with, at least at first. The learning curve is, obviously, dependant on how much time you put into it, but it took me around four weeks to feel comfortable with it.

Recommendations to other buyers: Leave time for a learning curve, which is usually 3-6 weeks, depending on software complexity.

Pros: Rapid PM and DOC are so easy to use. In the 20 years I have worked in healthcare, I have never worked with a software that was more integrated to the use of all of the staff. Rapid works from the check in process to the physician visit and thru the billing process. We have cut our work time in half allowing for more attention to our patients.

Cons: The only problem we have had with Rapid is that when the internet is slow, we are slow. But even ACOM can't control the Florida Rain.

Recommendations to other buyers: Sign up for your presentation and watch the videos!!! We were sold from day one and love it more every day.

Pros: The ability to get work done anytime, anywhere, in an organized, systematic, and secure manner, has greatly improved my record keeping accuracy and efficiency. Without a doubt, this has translated to less stress about completing and maintaining detailed patient paperwork. Billing efficiency and overall reimbursement-average per claim are also increased. The training process was thorough...it does require the user to put in the time and work to learn the system, but no more so than any other competing product. We've been using ACOM Health RAPID Software for almost a year now, and would definitely make the same choice again!

Cons: No specific complaints thus far...it's really as good a product as the effort and ability of the user. It takes time and effort to learn all the options, the short cuts, the tricks to customize for maximum efficiency, etc. Once the learning curve was ascended, it's been a good run thus far!

Recommendations to other buyers: Talk to your peers, review a minimum of 3 competing products (ideally 5), take your time to make a decision, make use of free product demos and trials, then make a choice. Thus far we've extremely satisfied with our choice of ACOM.

Pros: All electronic medical records program allow you to document. The difference is the ease of documenting your patient encounter, how easy is it when something different happens with a patient, how customizable is the program so your report and notes do not look and sound like everyone else that uses the program. And, 2 of the most important aspects of a good EHR program, how is their support when problems occur and how receptive are they to suggestions for improvements from their users? We began using ACOM Health Rapid Doc softward in 2006. In 2010 we upgrades to their full office management system. This year makes it 10 years as a very pleased ACOM Health customer. The notes/report program is very easy to use, quick and as detailed as the doctor wants it to be. I often get compliments from other physicians, attorneys and insurance adjusters on the quality and detail of my records. Now that we opted for the cloud based version of their software, I can easily do house calls, hotel calls, yacht calls and see my athlete patients at the stadium or practice field and document easily through wifi

Cons: I'm still waiting for the version that takes the info directly from my brain and into the patient's chart without me having to do anything.

Recommendations to other buyers: Ask the following questions: 1. How easy is it to customize the wording so that it reflects my style and sounds like me 2. How quickly can I make a changes if a patient presents with a problem and I need to add a new orthopedic test, new diagnosis or treatment procedure? 3. If I have a problem, how fast can I get tech support to help me?

Pros: I have been a chiropractor for over 30 years and in the middle of my career I spent 10 years , full time, designing, installing and selling home theater audio-video equipment. Because of my experience in both fields, I believe I am unusually qualified to review this software. First of all the software is extremely well laid out with respect to setting it up. There are tutorials that are short, to the point and shows you everything you need to know to set it up. Phone support is necessary to me and Acom's support is quick and available when you need it. I am a diplomate of addiction and compulsive disorders and do a lot of other work like neuro-biofeedback, positive motivational therapy and the like. Acom is the ONLY company that is available that allows me to customize the program the way I need to use it..... and I checked out them all. Plus, the cost, after taking into consideration the initial layout and yearly subscription monies, is very affordable compared to the other competitive companies. The use is straight forward and quick. I can do most daily notes in just a few minutes. You can use an in house server, but I use my system on the cloud. That way there is no cost of maintenance or down time for hardware..... and I can use the system from anywhere I work. There is also no cost for other doctors and staff who use the system. Very good for multiple doctor/staff practices. I could go on and on, and there are a lot of questions many of you will have..... but I recommend you check out this system.

Cons: If your looking for free software or a cheap application, then this is not the software for you. But, that type of software will not let you customize it, and typically it will not offer clearinghouse compatibility and/or accommodate billing, scheduling and office notes all in one program. All in all this program is very well designed.

Recommendations to other buyers: I had to call 20 plus or minus companies to find one that did what I needed, but in the end this was the only one that would work for me. I think you should do the same and call and get many demo's before you commit to any one program. Comments: The transition from our old software to ACOM was quite easy. We had personal training and also tutorials for self help. Tech support is good at solving issues when you call, and if they need to investigate an issue, they will call you back within reasonable time. This software has a lot of features and we are not using all of them, but we are continually growing into it as we find more ways to make our office more efficient.

Pros: ACOM across the board has surpassed my EHR needs. From saving all notes and files on their servers so i do not have to back anything up, to the customer support and training they gave when i first started using the software.

Cons: In my 5 months of using ACOM so far i havent found one thing that i do not like yet. Easy to navigate and understand.

Pros: I like the ability to schedule every different area of the office on one schedule instead of having a separate schedule for exams and adjustments. I also like the doctor notes program. It is simple and thorough when sending charges and notes to a third-party company, such as an attorney. Sending insurance charges is simple and easy with very little steps to take. The patient dashboard is a great place to look to see the total amount owed and see notes that need to be seen.

Cons: The patient payment portion of the software seems to have a few too many steps to take to "attach" a payment to a date of service. There is not a running ledger to look at where it is line-by-line charges and payments. I would like to have something other than the "charge list" to look at to see which dates of service have been paid for.

Recommendations to other buyers: Thoroughly watch the training videos to see how the entire software will apply to your practice.

Pros: I was first introduced to ACOM Rapid software a little over 1 year ago. I always knew it was a great product, and was made even more aware of the outstanding choice our office had made in EHR software as I attended training conferences and listened to all the problems others were having that did not use ACOM. The ease of use is second to none. Functional Outcome Assessments are linked to the note making treatment plans a breeze to document. ACOM has Medicare compliance down to the push of a button. 30 Day FOA and treatment plans for PQRS are scheduled with an alert for each patient that can be quickly printed in an Excel Spreadsheet sorted by Lat name to enable front office personnel to schedule each and every patients' appointment whether medicare or insurance with exactly what is required for compliance effortlessly without error every time. Meaningful Use is tracked making compliance a breeze. ACOM has though of everything to make your office compliance and documentation as effortless as possible. This is truly an OUTSTANDING Product!!

Cons: There is nothing that I do not like about this product. When I do have a beneficial suggestion, or an issue their support staff is second to none. They are always ready to listen help and will often call you to tell you when your suggestion will be implemented. When you cannot explain what is happening, in a flash they will set up on a "SCREEN SHARE" and watch what is going on on your computer and then use that for a teaching opportunity to help you learn or take advantage of a feature. Again There is NOTHING that I do NOT like about this product or their support staff.

Recommendations to other buyers: Try it for just a week, you will be SO HAPPY. If in the area feel free to stop by we will be glad to let you watch just how easy EHR, PQRS, and Insurance compliance can be.

Pros: When I call, a knowledgeable person not only answers the phone, but also they completely answer my question and fix the situation. I have never ended a call wondering if something would get done, or if I could do the next step. They don't get off the phone until the process is complete and correct.

Cons: The training process takes some time. watching the " DOC" videos means you can not do what is supposed to be done with the other person watching. Any notes must be thorough because you are set free to do the documentation on your own. It is nice, though to be able to move at your own pace with that. But i am thankful to get to do the billing side with a video and then a person.

Recommendations to other buyers: This software covers the necessary bases. It does thorough, professsional documentation. It is easy to learn, and you do get faster with practice.

Pros: I have had this software for over 5 years. I couldn't be more pleased with the DOC software. It is extremely easy to use, is easily customized and has always been ahead of the game in regards to the continual changes and demands we all face. This software allowed me to easily satisfy "Meaningful Use" for Medicare reimbursement every year and was the first software to be approved. With all of the talk about ICD-10 I was getting quite nervous toward the end of September, but with the product support notices, free webinars and software changes the transition was much easier than anticipated. Have always been very satisfied with the software, technical support and customer support.

Cons: The things I have problems with about this product are, basically, problems I would have with any computerized system. After having used paper files for over 30 years, the transition was easier than I had anticipated. It takes a little more time to enter the patient information on a computer, but it is much more complete. It was easier to flip back through past notes with the paper system. With the "bird's eye view" I can see past notes (I cannot think of a better way a computerized system could do this than ACOM does), but it is just not as fast as paper.

Recommendations to other buyers: Like any other major decision, do your "due diligence" in evaluating the true value of the product and company, not just the cost. Determine exactly what your needs are and make sure the software meets all of those requirements.

It's been 4 years of use and the service and support is still outstanding.

Comments: The software makes the transition from paper to electronic records easy. The training provided goes above and beyond what is expected. They answer all your questions and if they don't know, they find out for you. They have helped with my attestation for Meaningful Use with video training, and phone training. Comments: Overall, very satisfied with the software and support during the first few months of implementation. Our office staff and doctors took this step into EHR seriously, and the RAPID software was a perfect for our chiropractic office needs. It is very compliant with note taking, posting charges, and in general being compliant with Medicare and insurance guidelines. Once you make a patient note, you never have to worry about it. The way the software makes the notes is professional and extremely thorough. And you will never lose another patient file because it is forever in the cloud. Everytime we had a question about the software the support team of RAPID was able to find us an answer and gave us plenty of training to boost our confidence. We have been utilizing this software for about 2 months now and we are happy we decided to choose this company over others.

Pros: Very professional and corteous when speaking with the employees of ACOM. They followed through with the questions I would ask, even if they didn't know and had to get the answer, they always got back to me.

Cons: So far so good, we have only been happy with our purchase. It has only been a month though.

Pros: The Rapid documentation is quite good and integrates nicely with the practice management side of the software.

Cons: Customer service and price. This product is a big investment and with that we expected the great customer service we experienced in the beginning to remain as we moved forward. However, the customer service at ACOM is sorely lacking. I felt like they kept trying to be better but never quite made the mark. The service contract also states that updates are included but that is not true. If ACOM spends more than they anticipated creating an update they pass that cost onto their customers.

Recommendations to other buyers: Take it for a real test drive and do a lot of research. Talk to as many people as you can who have it and see what they think. For us, we couldn't handle the lack of customer service anymore and the additional fees that seemed so wrong. We went back to Eclipse and have been happy ever since.

Comments: DOC has been good. Some of this years changes cause more time because of having to check boxes between screens (treatment suggestions). I am still not as fast as I used to be but the software is more comprehensive than my prior notes so it is good. However, I can see a point when I expect it to limit the number of patients visits I can get down within a time frame. I do get moments throughout the day when I have to wait for the software to change screens. "Not responding" shows a few times per day - not sure where that problems resides. My internet speeds always seems to exceed the minimal requirements by a good margin. Most of my Senior Citizens are not fans at all of the sign-in kiosk, primarily because they are not largely computer competent. There does seem to be a lot of choices for some things, for some maybe too many (minimal, slight, mild, mild-moderate, etc.)
Pract Mngmnt is also good. There seems to be a lot of clicks with the mouse just to enter patient charges. The documentation the patient and insurance payments seems to be a little complicated and some difficult to understand some of the notations (ie, finding out if a claim was sent to deductible).

Comments: I have been using this software since 2006 and have found it be excellent. It has been easy to use for all staff members even if they know nothing about Chiropractic when first hired. The system makes it easy to find your way around to all of the tools. As the physician I really like the note taking software. It reduces my time for charting so I can spend time at home with my family. The reports that are generated are a great tool to keep the practice on task and streamlined. All I can say its been an excellent investment.

Comments: I came from a much less complicated program, Chiro8000. I moved forward to your program and thought with decent computer skills, your program would be no problem. Boy was I wrong. I watched the videos many times, but a lot of features are hidden behind other features.

I really feel that more videos need to be added especially in the area of claims management and follow through. This is one of the most often used parts of the program...but I feel that your program makes it difficult to receive an EOB, match it up by line item and then apply the payment quickly and easily.

One Big Beef. As any company Needs and Wants to know...I want and need to Know ...where am I at. I want to have a Front Page View as to the Health of my Practice. I want a statistic page that keeps track of daily, weekly, monthly, yearly summary of my New Patients, Regular Patients, Services Rendered and Collections, , so that I can see at a glance what I did today, where am I at for the week, month and year.

I would like a autoresponder tied into the patient base so that I could drip feed videos or educational materials to the patient base. The program need to beef up a marketing arm to keep patients coming in and great recall protocols that make our work easy.

I could go on and on...if someone calls me I would be glad to throw it all out there.

We have had the software for 3 years and are very happy with it.

Comments: The system is very user friendly for both the doctor and the staff, training was minimal. The training videos were very self explanatory. The software checks for completeness of the note before it is sent for billing to help avoid rejected claims. The newest training video indicates that there will be a crosswalk to help change ICD9 codes to ICD10 codes. That will be a huge help! There are small niches in the PM portion of the software that we feel could make it easier to navigate.

Comments: Would like to see more customization when it comes to Scheduling (ie. cut and paste would be nice throughout the program). I still see lots of errors on the Initial Visit when it converts notes to sentence formation on first paragraph. Doesn't always mesh properly.
On the Body diagram, I would like to add more spots on the diagram (as well as patients). Not all areas are covered.

The webinar was not helpful for this new soft ware.

Jared Meyers was the only one who helped us understand the software. If it wasn't for his patience and knowledge I would still be confused. Comments: I've been using Rapid Doc since 2006. I've used other programs prior and have even been a beta tester for some. This is the easiest program to get up and get running on, easiest program to customize yourself and the first company that seriously considers all of your upgrade and improvement requests. I have countless suggestions that have been incorporated into the program over the years. Using the program is intuitive. I was up and running on the program before we were officially "trained". Notes and reports are well organized and very professional. You can incorporate your logos and letterheads into your documentation.

Now our office uses their full blown office practice management, schedule and SOAP notes/narrative report software and are almost completely paperless. With the new billing cloud service, I can access my full program from anywhere and it works as fast as if I'm sitting in my office. On locations patients, traveling with teams, doing house calls or hotel calls, I have access to my full compliment of documentation.

Highly recommend for my fellow colleagues.

First he is very friendly and always in a good mood. Takes his time listening to you when explaining whats wrong with the system. Corrects the issue in a timely matter. Cons - certain aspects of the software is not user friendly. Example; building reports; merging mailing labels; many steps with applying payments.

Pros: The ease of use. It's really the easiest EHR program to implement. The templates are amazing as well.

Cons: The billing was confusing at first to get set up correctly, but once done, it was all smooth sailing.

Recommendations to other buyers: Look at the closest version you can get to this, which is ChiroTouch, and then compare the cost. ACOM Rapid is roughly half the cost and more functional in our opinion.

Great chiropractic software.

Pros: As a chiropractor, certified professional coder, and a certified professional medical auditor, I would highly recommend ACOM.

Cons: I cant say there is anything I don't like. All the staff in the office likes the software.

Pros: The product never stops evolving. It keeps getting better and better. Ou rep is a true pro and super friendly. She can help or point you to the right direction for anything you need.

Cons: The yearly maintenance fee is a bit high for my taste.

Recommendations to other buyers: I've used three other EHR products before trying out Rapid EMR seven years ago. I've been very satisfied with the product and the customer service.

Comments: Awful support, had to go to the VP of company to get the company to keep their word, constantly changing staff, billing support nearly bankrupted a friend I referred to them before I realized how awful a company this was. Do not buy this. Dr. Rick Siegler is the best thing about ACOM's Rapid.

Comments: I paid a lot of $ for this because I wanted an integrated system. It was highly recommended, but it is a VERY INFLEXIBLE system built on OLD technology and the support is basically "sorry we can't do/fix that but we'll recommend it as an enhancement". The billing system CANNOT even do simple arithmetic to add up the patient's total outstanding balance on the patient statement. Plus it CANNOT print out a summary page of the patient's statement (prints ALL pages) and does NOT even print them alphabetically! The Doctor reporting side is NO better: LIMITED number of diagnoses, LIMITED number of patient complaints...I could go on and on but YOU GET THE IDEA!! JUST DON'T!!

Pros: I like the documentation management.

Cons: It's an inferior, temperamental, tedious, cumbersome, and outdated product. This product does not integrate with our preferred electronic billing clearinghouse.

Recommendations to other buyers: Be prepared to be frustrated while giving control and singular access to a company that may or may not respond to your service requests.

Pros: They have a great salesforce that encourages and promises all sorts of promises, but nothing has been followed through. I was sold a product at the end of the year that was MU certified. But when we went to use it, they were not certified, as of January. We were not informed that it was not going to be available for at least another 7-8 months.

Cons: The accounting capabilities are non-existent. Basic accounting is not there. I would think at any time you could easily pull reports showing unpaid claims, unpaid old balances. These are easy concepts, but they make it extremely hard to do these simple reports.

Recommendations to other buyers: Read reviews, and spend lots of time with product. You need to be able not only to bill, but to have the ability in a practical way to generate resubmits and past dues in an easy and efficient way.

Pros: Originally, this vendor was very professional and cooperative. They were heads and shoulders above every other EHR in their rigorous completion of the requirements to go live with EHR. However, when we caught a virus, they were completely clueless as to how to fix it. We had to go outside their office and hire a Microsoft specialist to discover and eliminate a root virus.

Cons: They basically don't stand behind their product with the technical support that we were supposed to have. We had been paying for technical support for almost three years, and the motherboard went out on the only computer that we had the database on. The computer had to be replaced, and we called to get our program reinstalled and the database pulled off their cloud. We were told that we had to pay them to put the program back on the computer. That is crazy. We have been paying them a considerable amount every year, and they refused to put the program back on the computer. The odd thing is that when we got a virus that wiped out the computer program in 2011, they reinstalled it for free.

Recommendations to other buyers: This company caters to large hospitals and medical clinics in addition to chiropractors. Chiropractic is just a division. I know that most chiropractic offices can't afford all of their fees and updates.

There has been a bit of a learning curve, but overall, I like it!

Pros: This software creates great documentation and can be customized to suit different Doctors. Software support has been very good.

Cons: After using my own paper daily note system that gave me a graphic view of previous listings at a glance, I found it difficult to transition to a paragraph daily note that takes a little more time to read. I am, however, getting much more familiar with the software, and it's getting easier with more experience.

Recommendations to other buyers: I recommend this software for the documentation medical necessity.

Pros: What is not to like? ACOM is available, it seems, 24/7. I have never had to wait even 24 hours before receiving either a callback or an e-mail addressing any issues. The software is logically put together. Users do not have to be certified insurance billers to navigate. I recently trained a new staff member, and she had mastered the program in less than a day.

Cons: I would like a little more versatility in the reports. There has been some data I have just not been able to produce in the format I would prefer. Also, as an accountant, I would like to be able to see the transaction ledger more interactive than just viewing (applying filters). In the Charge Entry screen, I would like to be able to delete more than one charge at a time.

Recommendations to other buyers: Well, we all know that EHR is going to be mandatory in the future. If a doctor plans on staying in business more than 10 years, he is going to have to move his office toward that. I would recommend stepping into the Rapid Doc portion immediately, take a few months to master the documentation software, and then piggyback the PM portion into the practice. It was very helpful to understand how the documentation software worked before mastering the PM. But the bottom line is: this product is superior, and I would recommend any doctor buying it. It is worth every dollar it costs and will streamline the documentation/administrative portion of any practice.

Pros: The software makes both medical notes and and billing very easy.

Cons: Issues would arise such as patients' pictures suddenly being removed from their file and being unable to add photos to any new patient's file. It was explained to us that this would be resolved in a future upgrade. That upgrade has never taken place and does in fact keep being pushed back. To date, we have been waiting for over a year and a half.

Recommendations to other buyers: The product that RAPID has is very good, when it is working; the problems arise when there is an issue that involves support.

Pros: In general, the product is nice. RAPID Doc is easy to use and very customizable. I am constantly training interns (pre-chiropractic students) on how to use it, and they can learn quickly. It is frustrating how everything in the patient's symptoms (and what they fill out on the KIOSK) is all about pain, but hey, that's an insurance thing so what can we do. The vendor was great to work with as we investigated the software.

Cons: Customer service. I get really frustrated with the customer service. I realize that others have had better experiences, and I am sad that has not been the experience we have had. Customer service is hard to get a hold of. I have often left messages on voicemails for people to contact me regarding an issue and didn't get calls back. I have left email messages with tech support when they are unavailable and have asked them to get back to me regarding certain issues and again received no return email or call. It can be so frustrating that something I am working on comes to a grinding halt and remains halted for days or weeks until I am finally able to get a hold of someone. The other issue is nothing is truly simple in the RAPID PM portion of the software. Entering a payment takes five clicks of the mouse and a few keyboard strokes. Posting a patient payment to a bill takes seven clicks and a few keystrokes. Many of these tasks could easily be made a bit more simple. Seven clicks is time wasted to me if they could set the system up to get it done in three or four. Signing a patient into the office and assigning them to a kiosk takes seven clicks as well; it could be done in less steps. The extra steps are great in making sure that a lot of unnecessary errors are made but it's a bit much. Just my two cents. (I am the office manager and have been for 10.5 years in this practice; I come at this from the side of the non-medical staff using the product). The practice has been around for 34 years. We won't change systems for the PM side of things simply because this was too big of an investment to back out now, but if we had to do it over again we would most likely go with RAPID doc and not get the RAPID PM.

Recommendations to other buyers: Do your homework if you think it will work for you great. Give it a shot. If customer service is what you want most out of your product, I wouldn't recommend it. I am busy throughout my day, as is my other staff. I think it is sad that the thing that should make my life and my procedures faster (RAPID PM) is often the thing that slows me down the most.

Comments: I have been using RAPID software for my notes since 2011. I have attested twice now and have received $30,000.00 so far. I am halfway into my third year to receive another $8000.00 at the end of this year for meeting Meaningful Use with Medicare. The software is easy to use, the videos are very helpful - in fact I go through them every reporting period to make sure I have done all of the requirements. Also, if I have a question on how to modify something in the software, I can email or call for help, and the response is usually the same day. I have had several friends start using the software and they to have received the incentive money from Medicare. I did have to send my notes into an insurance company for a review, and I was paid, as they found nothing was missing in my documentation. If you purchase the program and use it as designed, your notes will meet the requirements for Medicare and other insurance companies.

Comments: We have been using ACOM Rapid for three years. As a national instructor on documentation, coding and compliance, I was demanding when it came to having the right software integrated into my office. I must say that I am thoroughly happy with RAPID and highly recommend it. It allows me to edit the software, so that my notes are versatile and sound like me. Too many of the computerized notes are canned and seem like the same thing over and over. ACOM Rapid allows me to make it my own. I have done the Meaningful Use Attestation for the last two years. With the help of the ACOM representatives, I was able to receive $30,000 in government bonuses for using Electronic Health Records. ObamaCare is on the horizon. ACOM is already on the ball with the PQRS measures in the software library. They are also ready for ICD-10 which is required on October 1, 2014. Take a look and compare. Nobody can beat the ACOM Rapid program for originality, ease of use and support!

Comments: In our practice, we currently have four running departments. In order for all the departments to be synchronized, we need to effectively communicate with each other throughout the day. The RAPID system provides us with the opportunity to do just that without having to leave our stations and become congested. Within RAPID, you can make changes to a treatment plan, billing code, or procedure that will update itself within seconds. Nothing is left to chance or the patients' word of mouth. Using a paper (routing) system, many mistakes were made due to lack of communication. For example, it would take us significantly longer to look up each patient's history from his or her last appointment. Now, it happens with just a click of a button. We currently use the 7.2 version. It seems each update fixes the mistakes we were making, and has made it easier to actually fill pages without losing any time with a patient. After introducing RAPID to the staff, it only took about 1 month to use it efficiently. This office started using the system in 2011 with three attending doctors and a staff of nine people. Now, its hard to imagine using paper again. If we run into any problems, we call Michelle at ACOM who helps us within the day. We also provide suggestions and ACOM actually listens and makes changes they agree will help move faster. The quanitity of benefits are endless. The new systems allows us to document everything very quickly instead of having to write down all the information. I encourage every doctor to switch to this system because have seen/heard of other electronic systems that do not have nearly all the benefits that RAPID does. Also, I allow physicians to shadow and get a feel for the system.

Comments: Documentation software is supposed to make your life easier, and this one does! My office has been stream lined due to the addition of RAPID. The ease of use and details are incredible. I have a high volume practice and am able to complete my notes without worry, regardless of how many visits I saw that day. In addition, I would like to state that I have been audited, and due to RAPID software, my notes are bulletproof so I passed with flying colors. Thanks RAPID!

Comments: Well ACOM is one of a greatest investments I have made in my 10 years of practice experience. The software is easy to learn and use, and customer support walk you through step by step for a person who only knows how to use keyboard and mouse. It works great for my office staff; it only took them one learning session to cover what we need in our office. I am sure this software will be one of the most important tool in a chiropractic office once EHR is mandatory in keeping medical record requirements for most insurance, especially Medicare! I am glad I made this choice and remember this software pay for itself by getting incentive from Medicare over the years. If I can learn how to use it, everyone else will, too.

Comments: I am a Chiropractic Physician with 30 years of experience with office software (some good, some not so good!). I had the opportunity to become associated with RAPID Documentation software in its developmental stage about 10 years ago. As my practice is restricted to trauma care and medico - legal cases, I was always looking for flexible, adaptive, and easy to use software as clear documentation is critical. I stopped searching when I began using RAPID. The beauty of the system is the easy flow structure that is completely customizable. RAPID works flawlessly with voice recognition software, which allows me to dictate directly into the note system whenever I need. The blend of point and click speed, useful for many daily encounter notes, with the ability to go to straight dictation for more complex and individual notes is wonderful. My practice is almost completely a referral practice. I am proud to say that even though my office only generates a handful of referrals from the office to attorneys every year, the three chiropractors at the office remain very busy every day from the patients referred to the office. It is my opinion that the quality of care we provide to the patient and the quality of documentation generated by RAPID, results in this one way referral practice. All the ¿marketing¿ in the world will not develop a consistent referral based practice if you do not provide a high quality product to back it up. Prior to using RAPID, I spent thousands of dollars a year on dictation transcription. I paid for the software in less than a year when I switched over. Slow turnaround time on documentation was also an issue that was solved by RAPID. The learning curve for the software was not painful, like many other programs, and was picked up quickly by the doctors and the staff. Consumer friendly support is a big plus with RAPID. The organization understands the importance of customer satisfaction. The technicians are well trained. About the only time I use the technicians, however, is to install the program on a new computer as the older ones have been replaced over the years I have used RAPID! I cannot imagine my practice without RAPID software. If you are looking for a great product, I would give RAPID my highest recommendation.

Comments: We are a small Chiropractic office that uses Rapid Software. We opened our practice using this software 2 years ago. It is very easy to use, and if we ever have problems, technical support is just a phone call away! We are a completely paperless practice, thanks to the help of this wonderful company! At first it was a little hard to figure out and we learn new things everyday, but one you figure it all out it's very simple.

Comments: I am a relative old-timer, in practice 32 years. I work part time and currently run a pretty low key, solo practice out of my home. I have no employees, and in a great week will see 60 patients. I've been using one computer program or another to run the business side of my practice since the dinosaur age (I bought my first computer in 1982 - a Digital Rainbow which loaded the operating system using two 5 1/4 inch floppy discs - and I wrote the first accounting programs myself). I finally bought an 'official' program and used it for years. In 2006 I realized that I needed to do something more than travel cards and buy a program to help me with my charting. I looked around, and chose BestNotes (which, by the way, is a great stand alone program for doing notes). Though the program was great, I tried to make my note a faithful reflection of what I did and talked about during the visit, couldn¿t do that in a timely manner, and so was chronically behind in charting. It got to the point that the only patients who had more than a line or two of history in their charts were the ones who 'had' to have notes sent - personal injury, worker's comps - and those who had notes requested for one reason or the other (those requests sometimes took weeks to fulfill). This behavior finally caught up with me. I was unable to produce charts on three patients out of the 30 requested during an 'in-house' audit, and had to return lots of money. I decided that I had learned my lesson. I was going to do notes on every patient every time, using the system I already had in place. Within six months, I was so far behind I could not possibly catch up once again. I decided I needed a different system, one that integrated notes with practice management, so that I could not bill unless the note was finished. I also had to give up being perfect at notes, and realize that I was writing the note for the insurance company, not for the patient. It took me four or five months to test drive all of the different programs out there, and once I had, I chose ACOM/Rapid. I took a deep breath, put myself into debt, and bought both the practice management and charting systems in April 2011. I was told that it would take me several months to `go live¿ but I knew better! I thought of myself as very computer savvy, had already programmed lots of language into my BestNotes system that I thought I could just transfer over, and was sure I didn't need as long as ACOM predicted to put the system in place. Turns out that they were right (and they usually are) - it did take what felt like a very long time to educate myself and get everything I needed into the system. Turns out it really is a process, and can't happen overnight. ACOM has the process part down pat - all I had to do was follow the plan. I didn't actually go live until August 1, 2011, and I can't say even that was glitch free, but what I can say is that I have never called tech support and had them unable to find/fix or teach me how to avoid whatever problem I encountered. I got real chummy with some of the techs - and every experience was positive. Lots of time has passed since then. I don't remember what version I started with, but I'm at v3.7.7 of the practice management, and v7.1 R3.0 of Rapid Documentation, and every time a new version comes out, the program is easier to use. I haven't actually changed my spots - I still get behind on notes - but I haven't billed for one service that doesn't have documentation to support it since August 1, 2011. I no longer live in fear of an audit and I find it amazingly satisfying to get a request for a chart and be able to fulfill the request the same day. I can do my notes, post the charges, send the insurance, print statements, and be done with it, all with these two integrated programs (and, no staff!).

Comments: We have been using Eclipse for the last 9 years and have found that it did not have enough chiropractic specifics. A bit more cumbersome to customize for our office. As with any software, there are certain functional elements of software that don¿t work the way you want them too. However, ACOM Health has the most usable options out of the box and also has one of the more easily customizable features. It would be nice to have updated training videos on the website that go with the latest version of the practice management side. We would like the software even more if both Rapid and Practice Management were one software. Other than that we have been happy with the customer service and software.

Comments: I went online with ACOM October 1, 2011. I had 2 weeks to download the software and train so I would be eligible for EHR in 2011. ACOM was the only company that was willing to accomplish this for me. Most other systems told me it would be at least one month just to train me. Michelle at ACOM stayed in contact with me all the way including after the installation to make sure I was happy. She answered any questions I had in timely fashion. I felt I was totally taken care of. I know that even now, if I had any problems I could still contact her and she would take care of me. You are not abandoned once you sign on. It took less than 2 hours to download the software into all of my computers. I have not needed any support in the use of my software, so I have to say the training was easy and complete. My only contact with the techs has been to update my software a couple of times. I was even given a coach to help me get through my EHR attestation. He was also a Chiropractor, so he was very familiar with how this program worked in a Chiropractic setting. Since being with ACOM, I have had requests for records from private insurances and Medicare regarding the care in relationship to billing. The bills for patient care has always been approved and paid for. I have sent many patient notes to attorneys and insurance companies on personal injury cases and I have been proud of my notes. A couple of times an insurance company has requested that I take discounts on my billed fees. I tell them that I feel my fees are justified and refer them back to my notes. They have always been approved and I have been paid with no reductions. Recently I have been hearing about the problems other chiropractors are having regarding being audited and not getting paid. Since having ACOM, I do not lose any sleep over it. I know my notes contain what Medicare requires, and if I needed to, I am willing to do battle with confidence.

Comments: I was using Chiro8000 before switching to ACOM. Our office sees between 150 to 175 patients per week, and has been in business for 7 years. We wanted to get on board to become compliant with EHR requirements, and the fact that the EHR stimulus is available to us, why not do it sooner than later. I went with ACOM after a friend of mine who had bought it a year prior recommended it. I looked at 3 other software companies, and ended up choosing ACOM. We bought the PM and the DOC portions of ACOM and use both, including the KIOSK at the front of the office. It was a challenge switching software, but once we got it switched, we were happy we did. It is great to be a paperless office, where charts are not missing, due to filing errors. I am able to finish charting at home if I need to, by remote log in. This allows me to get dinner going for the family, and spend more time with them. You can create and print a daily note within seconds. The software helps to create professional, complete reports, and I feel good about sending these to an attorney or insurance company. It took about 8 months to really get it implemented, but ACOM was helpful in the process. We have certainly received less denials from insurance companies, and we also got our stimulus check in April! I would highly recommend ACOM Health.

Comments: I have been using Rapid in my office for a little over two years now. I have found it to be extremely helpful in saving time, while creating a very customizable and individualized note. The report feature is great, as this puts my exams into a professional report within seconds to send to other health care professionals. The patients seem to like to use of the tablets and Kiosk system. The company has solid tech support and we have not had any issues with time sensitive issues. We have found them to be helpful in the beginning while we had questions, but have not had to use them in some time, as the software is pretty straight forward once you have it set up for your practice. I have had two years in a row of receiving the government stimulus and, aside from this, the time this system has saved me alone, was worth the money. Best software system I have used in practice and remain happy over two years later.

Comments: I have a small, family type Chiropractic Office (manager and myself), and have just celebrated my 30th year in practice. As do all of you, I believe in giving every patient as much as I can. Some of my patients think that I am the best Chiropractor in the world, just as your patients think you are. However, being old school and nearly computer illiterate, my documentation did not show that. With EHR requirements, increased insurance demands, and reduced payments, it didn¿t take a brain surgeon to see the train coming down the tracks, that was about to devastate my practice. Being frugal, I started shopping around for a program that would allow me to survive. I wanted to spend the least amount of money, but I didn¿t want to be ¿pennywise and pound foolish¿, and end up with an inferior system that wasn¿t guaranteed to reach Meaningful Use, or wind up with a company that would not be in business next year. After much research and visiting the leading sites in detail, comparing the documentation and billing programs, I was left with an easy choice. Upon seeing the SOAP portion of ACOM Rapid Software, I recognized that this program would make me look like the Chiropractor I actually am. Notes did not looked "canned", but flowed and were very accurate. The tools provided by ACOM allow me to easily create reports and SOAP notes in record time, perform assessments, incorporate treatment plans, change diagnosis, export/import reports, monitor medications (now required), and even implement the new PQRS codes required by Medicare. Previously we were utilizing Chiro 8000 for billing and Auto Doc for SOAP and report writing, but the load became too heavy as the insurance company¿s games of requesting documentation became greater. I lost a ton of sleep and became concerned that I would not be able to meet the demands, and survive as a Chiropractor. ACOM Rapid Software was installed in August 2013. As with any new software, implementation can be difficult, especially when dealing with older computer hardware, and considering we had to dovetail this new system while continuing to run our office with limited staff. ACOM was attentive to our needs, never left our side, and worked with us until we were fully up and running. With ACOM¿s interacting and user friendly documentation and practice management modules and the ease of their training programs, we were able to attest for Meaningful Use in December. Best of all, we recently received our first incentive check from CMS (receiving much more than we expected). When all is said and done, even in my small office, the incentive money will have more than paid for this program in less than 2 years. As difficult as times continue to be, I feel totally at peace, and am so proud to be a Chiropractor, practicing to the highest standard and doing what I love best!

Comments: When I started working with this company, I was nervous because customer service isn't what it used to be. I embarked on a huge project to change over software, and I needed the assistance of ACOM to get me through the transition with no down time and no delay of money flow. After just a couple days, I wanted to call the CEO and tell him or her that I hoped they knew what gems they had working for them. The customer service has been unbelievable. People calling me to see if there is anything they can do for me. The sales people, (after I have been "sold") calling me to see if my experience has been positive. When I was ready for the download of the new software, they ran into technical problems. The issues were solved quickly and the representatives were so friendly to me. Everyone has been kind and on the ball. And, the software is wonderful. It is very sophisticated and will help me run my office more efficiently and without having me be in the office all the time. I swear, sometimes I feel like I live in my office, but with the new software, I am being served by "it" instead of "me serving the software". Bottom line, it saves time and money.

Comments: Rapid is excellent at generating audit proof documentation. I've become the go-to guy with several local area attorneys because the notes I turn in look professional and I never get any "push back" from the insurance adjusters on the auto side. Submitting claims for major med takes less than three minutes. Rapid generates the electronic claims and we upload them to a clearing house (which is free). Our EOB's come in electronically and all our claims are automatically deposited into the business bank account. Some of the payors turn claims around in seven days, so what we see one week we get paid for the next. This is helpful for cash flow. My office manager quickly got up to speed using the Practice Management module, and I use the Documentation end of things. The best thing? At the end of each day, we walk out the door with all documentation done. No taking notes home on off days to play catch up.

Comments: I have been in practice for 5 years. Since graduating from school, documentation has been of the utmost importance to me. I still remember how incredibly verbose and thorough our notes had to be as a clinic intern. The clinicians were hard on us because they knew that our ability to practice and get reimbursed depends on it. Starting in practice, I wanted to continue the same quality of documentation but do it without spending hours and hours on it. Rapid truly fit those criteria and then some! The system makes it easy to quickly record the events of an office visit without the use of a clipboard, paper, and pen. The system also prompts you to cover all of the topics that a note is supposed to cover, so that you are not left to remember everything while busy in practice. The other thing that I love about Rapid is how I can customize forms and letters. When building a practice, I believe that well crafted forms and letters with your practice logo will help to build your brand and reputation among your peers. Rapid allows you to do this with ease and makes a referral letter or a customized informed consent as quickly as one click with the mouse. The learning curve is small and the support from the ACOM staff is superb. I have already recommended this system to a couple of my colleagues because I feel that raising the standards of everyone's documentation will help everyone's bottom line. And if records get done in a short amount of time, practice growth occurs without the hindrance of a paperwork bottleneck.

Comments: I am a chiropractor in practice for 27 years now. I saw that we needed to upgrade to EHR as eventually we would be penalized by medicare later on, and then probably other insurances as well. We looked around and found ACOM Health Rapid Software. Prior to this we used scantron sheets that were then scanned in and converted to text. After looking at a number of EHR softwares we decided to go with ACOM Health Rapid Software. We made the purchase around May of 2010, going for the documentation and the Practice Management softwares as they integrate well together, and were online by July 2010. Currently we are on Rapid Documentation Version 7.1 and ACOM HEALTH PM v 3.7.9. ACOM/Rapid provided a lot of training and support. There was a slight learning curve, but I find the EHR very intuitive and is completely customizable for how I practice. They helped in installation with the treatments and modalities we use, the diagnosis codes, all aspects. The staff and I became comfortable and efficient in using it in relatively a short time. We attested two times so far, getting checks for $18k and $14k. I have two more years of incentives I will be able to receive. ACOM helped make the attestation go smoothly; we had no issues. They also helped us get set up for Medicare with the new PART documentation. Any time we have an issue, they are there and take care of it in a timely manner. Upgrades have been consistent and smooth. I feel I have benefited from the software in that it helps me to better document what is going on, what we are doing, and why. I have less issues with carriers as my notes are more complete and not canned copies of one another. With that, we are paid by third parties more regularly and consistently as our notes document what is going on and the need for care. The software also allows for improved narrative reports as well as the ability to get out a daily note immediately to a primary provider, if we need help with a referral for diagnostics on HMO's and other managed care plans. EHR will be a way of life, and I felt that, with the government incentive money out there, it was ridiculous not to start right away. It literally paid for my system and more. ACOM made it painless and eveything went smoothly. There is a learning curve, but it really is relatively intuitive to use.

Comments: I had used two other EHR and management systems Pryor to ACOM. They both paled in comparison and one of them was more than double the cost. When I dropped a franchise I had joined, I also lost their EHR software. No big loss there, but changing systems is always a pain. ACOM's sales staff made it super easy to understand what I would get if i purchased ACOM. I learned more about EHR's and Medicare attestation in one thirty minute overview session than I had in five years of my previous EHR system. ACOM is the best EHR I've used. Everything you need, but yet not complicated. It is also completely customizable. My staff learned how to use the system easily and quickly and customer support has been fast and accurate. In my personal opinion, you can't go wrong with this system.

Comments: I've been using RapidDoc since 2006 and expanded to the full practice management/report-SOAP note program in 2011. I find it intuitive, simple, fast, and what I like most of all, easily customizable! If there is some special orthopedic test, exam procedure, therapy or rehab procedure, you don't have to wait for the next upgrade of the program, you can add it instantly! I'd have to say that I'm probably the company's biggest pain in the butt. I am always making suggestions for upgrades. Unlike my former EHR company, many (if not most) of my upgrade suggestions show up in the next upgraded version. The company is responsive to my staff and my inquiries, questions, and suggestions. The reports and notes are top quality, flow like dictation, and very professional. The notes/reports side of the program integrates seamlessley with the practice management and insurance billing side of the program. When I'm done with my narrate report or daily treatment note, the corresponding CPT codes for the treatment is uploaded into the billing system and ready for posting! Yes, automatically! Lastly, having been the victim of 2 horrible server crashes, I'm thrilled that all my notes/collections data is backed up to ACOM's Cloud where it is safe and sound. Comments: I have been using Rapid software for a few years now and it has helped me streamline my practice beyond words. I tried other software, and they just slowed me down. I was doing notes for hours every day. Rapid made it much simpler to accomplish what I needed to do, in a more efficient manner. The "technology" is a big hit with the patients - from the sign in kiosks, to seeing us do all the notes on the computer and generating prescriptions, exercises, and reports directly from the computer in the room with them, and having everything waiting for them at the checkout desk. As a doctor I have found it invaluable to my efficiency. It was very easy to use and the technical support help has been great. My direct contact with ACOM is Michelle Carmody and she is amazing. Always willing to help and get things done as quick as possible. If you are looking for a note system give Rapid a try and you won't be disappointed.

Comments: I did look at a number of programs before purchasing ACOM RAPID software in 12/11. RAPID seemed to have a good thorough documentation program that was fully compliant with the HiTech act and allows you to monitor your meaningful use easily. Installation was easy. Implementation was also fairly easy, there was just a normal learning curve as with any new program. Their training is a bit laborious but it also seems to be very complete. However, after using the software I became aware of a number of areas that I am unhappy with. First and foremost was the lack of free form text fields. I realize everyone likes dropdown menus and click to complete software, but that doesn't always allow for accurate or complete documentation. As a reviewer, it is very easy to spot these automated mutated findings in reports. While useful at times, they are often overused and do not give you a good record of what is going on. To their credit, ACOM did put free form texts in all areas of the daily notes and most of the areas in the examination. The one area where they did not, the orthopedics section of the exams, is arguably the one area that needs it the most. This is a major weakness in the program. You almost never see a truly positive orthopedic test as defined in the test's description. Most of the time, there is a variant of the positive test with pain perhaps generated in a different location than the classical positive test. Being unable to accurately describe this in the note can undermine the author's credibility. ACOM's answer was that you can just edit it in the Word file that it creates. This too is problematic as it takes another step, more time, and if the Word file is ever lost or corrupted you will not have your original findings available. This is enough of an issue that, had I realized how bad it is when I purchased the program, I would not have bought it. I was going to buy the practice management software as well, but elected not to unless this fault is corrected. Given the very high price of this program, this problem should not exist. Prior to ACOM we used ChiroPulse for documentation. This program is not HITEH compliant, so we switched.
