I am a pencil pusher, and the use of the computer was not my go to preference. Once I had the information uploaded the ease of use and the time saved converted me to a huge appreciation for this program.

Pros

It was easy to enter all of the client and retail info at the start (22 years ago) and the company continuously updates the software for ease of use. I recently closed my full-service salon with 22 employees and became and independent stylist in a salon suite. I was able to retain access to my old software for 30 days while transitioning into a single user program. I LOVE that I can call my support team and they always respond and able to quickly answer questions.

Cons

Any issues I have tend to be operator error!! My lack of computer skills and my impatience lead me to call my support team for quick answers however the program is so simple that someone with more patience or greater computer skills probably would not have to call on the team.

The Team!!! Amazing staff that were humble and not pushy. Their patience and guidance sold me. The product seemed smart and simple, but I was still intimidated. The time they gave was worth it's weight in gold!!

Pros

Ease of use. Not complicated. It keeps a nice history of clients, their purchases for retail, their past and future appts.

Cons

I actually like that ClienTrak hasn’t changed much. I am a sole provider in my business and don’t need a lot of bells and whistles. If ClienTrak is considering upgrading and adding more features, I hope they consider the “single provider” who doesn’t necessarily need more and I hope they price accordingly. I don’t want to have to pay for what I don’t need.

I'm sure this product has many benefits, but I use very few of it's features, so I am not the best judge.

Cons

I do not like that they are always blocking me from using it and I need to call support to reinstate it.

I have been mostly satisfied with clientrak software. It got set up at almost the beginning of my salon ownership, and has continued to serve us well.

Pros

It has been easy to set up, use and continue to adapt tom the changes in our business.

Cons

The thing I would like to be able to do most is eliminate clients who no longer live in our town, or have passed away. And also have a way to merge the same client if they were put in twice.

My receptionist had worked at another salon who used this software, she liked it and helped me set it up. Pretty smooth transition, had a few none computer users who were able to catch on quickly. That helped a bunch.

Customer service is terrific. They do listen to you and make changes from your suggestions.

Pros

The software is simple to use and does what a salon needs it to do. It's not as modern in design as some others but it works wellfor us.

Cons

It could be more user friendly and the layout could be more modern.

There weren't a lot of options when we started using this program. We have it in place and our stylists are trained now so changing is a big deal and we really haven't found a good reason to switch as it does most things we need.

I have used them for many years and watched them grow as a company. They really listen to the needs of the clients.

Pros

All salon functions are easy to manage and use. I am able to navigate and use what I need on a daily basis and only incorporate the parts of it that are beneficial to me.

Cons

Skyline should some how be more incorporated into the system as a whole. Find it hard to switch between my desktop and the cloud based software when checking confirmations etc. its a separate beast

Tracks clients...their info, services, etc.

I purchased the product..it is MINE. However, every six mi ths or so, it will shutdown if I don't call them to get a " code". I don't believe this is even legal, I never signed or saw anything that states that I must do that...it is for THEM to protect piracy, not for my benefit. I don't believe they have any right to shut down my program...that I purchased.

The software is easy and what I’m used to.

Cons

I wish it came with a hands on class or an educator. We are just figuring it out on our own. There is no way to delete products, employees or services once you program them in. Without an educator, I am only using about 15% of what the software can do.. I preferred the original online appointment book. The new Skyline version takes way to long to sign into and you can’t keep logged in.
