Pros Can customize to your needs and really make it your own. Cons Sometimes too many intricate details or features. Can get lost sometimes or change something inadvertently. February 5, 2020 5.0 Unbelievable time saver when writing reports.......love the added features Pros We are a multi inspector firm that regularly inspect homes over 10,000 SF......we usually attack homes of this size with multiple Inspectors cutting down on Inspection time as well as reporting time. Our inspectors are assigned specific parts of the home to inspect, they write that portion of the inspection report, than all pieces are merged into one comprehensive report for the client and posted to our secure cloud for viewing. Pros I can quickly and easily create an inspection report. The system is simple but very detailed. My Realestate professionals love the repair list options. Cons My clients have tried to pay online, even though I didn’t set up online payments. This option should not be possible if I didn’t set it up. I am looking forward to using the new additions this year. My experience with Homegauge has been great with no complaints. Pros I have been using this software since 2013 . I love the ease of use and the layout of the program. Homegauge makes this product very effective to perform an inspection . Due to the layout it covers all your major items and prevents you from missing items. Cons There is not anything that I dislike about the program. It works great and is perfect for my company . Pros HomeGauge software is designed in a way that is very user friendly. You can design your own report to look however you would like. You can also add any number of inspection items on the fly to suit your particular needs. The customer support is the best. After using 2 other companies, I started using Homegauge and I found it to fit my needs perfectly. However, when I do get stuck on something, I reach out to the systems support group that Homegauge has, and I find them friendly, knowledgeable and very responsive. Pros I like the layout of software and its functionality. I have the ability to customize to work best with my business and clients find it easy to navigate. Cons If I had to find an improvement, it would be the ability to copy over auto-comments to my various templates. My business has been part time but will be going full time very soon. This will allow me to fully utilize all HomeGauge offers. Pros I find the program relatively easy to use as long as you do not need to make many changes away from default settings. I am not a tech savvy person, so this is most likely more of a challenge for me than others. My clients and realtors appreciate the reports and especially the Create Repair List Cons Graphics and templates perhaps a little out of date. But otherwise I do not have any complaints. I can not say enough great things about this product. Home Gauge does everything that I need and more. Pros This software is easy to use. Makes my job more efficient and professional. My clients love the reports that are generated. The reports are easy to understand and read. The tech support is AWESOME. I believe that this software makes me the best home inspector in my area. I've never had an issue with the report not being able to be viewed. From a customer standpoint . They always seem to have access anywhere they go as long as they have their credentials. . Cons What I least like about the software is It definitely takes time and lots of practice to change the formats, add and remove inspection items. It definitely takes time to get used to. Extremely easy to understand at the end user level and very fast and detailed at the inspector level. Updates come multiple times a year, making the use of the software better and more efficient routinely. The program reduces time needed per inspection allowing greater income potential for inspectors. Cons I have no complaints about the program and the way in which I use it. Cons When trying to find a past report on the website can be confusing. If I get stuck somewhere, the (M-F, East coast biz hours) help desk staff really know their stuff, AND, they are available, and US based. Can't do better unless they were available 24/7. Pros It has all the functionality I need. Every time I need to do something new, the software already has the ability, and the on-line help is easy to find. Cons With capability comes complexity . Pros The customer support and excellent and I have gotten used to the software after using it for many years. Cons I am a Mac user and I have to run Parallels on my computer to run the software as it is written in Windows. The interface is dated and needs an overhaul to make it look and feel up to date. They are quick to return my call, if they can’t answer when I call because they are helping other users. We also host our website with HomeGauge. Cons I don't really have any complaints. I guess paying for it is my least favorite thing, but the pricing is reasonable in my opinion. The staff is always very helpful. We have customized our template over the years several times.
