DO NOT GET SUCKED INTO THIS PRODUCT.....NOT EVEN FOR FREE!

Pros

THERE ARE NO "PROS"! Tons of features but you can't figure out how to use them.

Cons

Bad customer support, 14 steps required to get a printout of your donors alphabetically and even more for something more complicated. Nearly 100 hours of training required to be able to use it. You don't have to be a aerospace engineer to fly IN a plane. You have to be a programmer to use this product. I HAVE A JOB. I don't have time to become a eTapestry expert and you can't use it unless you are an expert. 3 years of paying for it and we still aren't any more familiar with it than after our first year. We're done!

Was great but we had to find something Superior.

Pros

This software is great for a newly forming non-profit that is looking for a cost effective way to manage donors.

Cons

The reporting and integrations could be much better. As our organization grew we just needed a better CRM with more functionality for donor retention and better integrations.

Pros

We receipt over 50,000 gifts annually. eTapestry saved us with their automatic pledge and recurring gift schedules with credit cards and EFT. We have over 3,500 gifts go off automatically each month. If we didn't have this feature, we would need to hire at least three more full-time staff for gift receipting. The ease of building queries and reports for mailing lists, monthly financial reports, moves management processes, and anything the VP needs is incredible. In my old database, it was a 24-hour process to run our alumni magazine mailing list. The first time I ran the list in eTapestry, it only took 15 minutes. We've been with eTapestry for seven years. I know many of their staff personally and enjoy the relationship that I have built with them over the years. Their support staff are amazing!

Cons

I miss the old days of eTapestry when they were their own, small company. Although Blackbaud has allowed them to advance in some areas, I miss some of the small company touches that used to be there.

E Tapestry is a great all around donor database although it has some service downfalls.

Pros

I really like the dashboard. It makes it easy to find what you're looking for and see a recent history of actions.

Cons

Reports are a bit tricky. There are many ways to run reports and at times the simplest report takes way too long to extract.

Pros

The best part of using eTapestry is the all-around ease of navigation and training. The software is laid out in a logical format, simple to customize to fit your needs and show you the numbers you really need to know. The Blackbaud training for eTapestry is outstanding. There are recorded webinars, an online community center, an online manual, live webinars that are interactive so you can practice what you are learning, and more.

Cons

What I like least about the product is the need to continually upgrade if you want more features.

### "Up And Running Right Away!"

Pros

Product is easy to use and is easy to implement (i.e. it's ready to go right out of the box, unlike products like Salesforce). It's ease of use means the whole staff is able to use it (our Executive Director, our Artistic Director, our Accountant, Everyone!) so all our data can be stored and sourced from one place.

Cons

Wish eTapestry synced better with BBM, especially with the input of data. Also, wished that it synced even more with constant contact.

I would not recommend this software .

Pros

Their support number is a nice tool that is included with their pricing. However, I found I had to use it frequently because so many aspects of this software are more challenging than they need to be.

Cons

Reports are the most difficult part of etapestry. There are so many nuances to running a report that will actually provide the results that you want. I have spent a lot of time running and re-running reports to finally get the desired outcome.

Cons

Still unable to cut and paste an outside documents, picture or wording into eTapestry. This would assist me when creating newsletters and other documents.

I like the account creation and intuitiveness of the software to manage duplicates. I often use this feature to double-check names and relationships for multiple other uses.

Cons

It's really difficult to understand how to run queries and feel like your data is complete sometimes.

What I like most about eTapestry is the ease of functions. As a donor database system, it is easy to pull reports for specific things.

Cons

What I like least about eTapestry is the importing. This product is great if you are the first one to use but if you are being added in you just need to make sure that you understand how your company uses it. Information can get mixed up quickly and can do more harm than good.

Pros

eTapestry has changed our entire process with donor management by allowing us to communicate more effectively and efficiently with our donors. It provides a system of tracking the important data needed for all our ministry departments and requested reports from our Board of Directors and CPA. We also use it to track volunteers, which is a huge part of our workforce. I love the ability to integrate eTapestry with our website so that we can process donations and streamline them directly into eTapestry. Supportive services when questions arise are always very helpful.

Cons

The only drawback is the complicated reporting system that I have a hard time getting used to. I haven't had sufficient time to really study the reporting system, so it's partly my fault. However, eTapestry's customer service group is outstanding to always answer any questions (no matter how silly) without making you feel stupid or like you are wasting their time.

Etapestry has a beautiful home screen that shares a lot of information at a quick glance, it was helpful for us as we quickly transitioned to telehealth and could not review or take physical records out of the office with us.

Pros

This was helpful to me as we transitioned to telehealth very recently, I can access client information within this fundraising software even when I am out of the office

Cons

While I acknowledge that I don't use this software for it's intended purpose, it was sometimes difficult to find contact information amongst the fundraising information.

I have used the software in my work for a nonprofit 501 c 3 organization. eTapestry has a clear, intuitive structure that is also easy to personalize. I feel like information that before was spread out over our intranet, email marketing software, and donor database system is now together in one place for streamlined communication.

Pros

Easy to use, offers personalization, organizes complex information simply

Cons

The "Help" section can be confusing. You can easily end up looking up with answers that pertain to other Blackbaud products and tracing your way back to eTapestry specifically can be confusing.

Pros

Product has been greatly improved. Functionality runs deep. While it's not the most intuitive product out there, the in-depth reporting and mass update options make it a boon to productivity and useful information for us fundraisers.

Cons

Some added features are not what they should be. Reporting not as intuitive as it could be. Process for entering donations and running receipts is a bit more cumbersome than it needs to be.

Automatically search for duplicate accounts when creating a new account.

Cons

Not easy to figure out how to run reports/queries, and need to pay couple thousands dollars a year to just learn how to use those features. In addition, new fees were added during our three-year contract that we have to pay.

I am not a fan of eTapestry by any means. The support is lacking and their help guides are very confusing and complicated to use. This is also not a platform where you can expect to learn intuitively, which poses a problem!

Cons

Honestly, there was nothing about eTapestry that I enjoyed using. I am happy that we migrated from this platform.

I have been using eTapestry for a little over 3 years. I manage all of the donations that my non-profit receives and use eTapestry to assist in that process. It was a little difficult to navigate at first. I took over my position with little training on eTapestry, so I had to figure a lot of it out as I was using it. Once I got the hang of how queries and reports communicate with each other, it made everything a lot easier! The support team with eTapestry has been great in helping me learn all of the functions the site has to offer. They were able to answer all of my questions and make me feel comfortable using the site. We also utilize the personal fundraising pages as well. These have been fair easy to maintain. eTapestry is not the most user friendly for people who do not have a lot of computer/internet skills. I was able to navigate most of it, but had to reach out to support many times.

Pros

Easy way to track contact information for donors, Endless reports that can be created in relation to donations, Great customer service

Cons

Not the most user friendly to someone who isn't great with technology, Some functions within tracking donor's and their donations are complicated, Limited personal fundraising options

First software I used. Good amount of features. For first timers it will be easy to learn the basics. Tracks donations well.

Cons

Customer service needs improvement. There is a charge for added support. Reporting is challenging to get exactly what you want. You may have to print multiple reports.

Pros

Easy work with donor profile. You have all information you need. Very good done!

Cons

I still learn but for me still complicated is to take out the report I need, to many different tools. Maybe I need more time

Pros

It collects all the information we need and includes Benevon Next Step needs.

Cons

To many steps to add data. I have to constantly watch video's to see how to do things. It is even harder for our staff to learn. It needs to be simplified, dramatically. I like the simplicity of Donor Perfect. But that program does not capture enough data. Something in between these two software systems would be great. And i have ideas if someone would ask! I do like that there ARE video tutorials.

I am currently using eTapestry, and have been loosely working with it for a couple of months. I am still trying to deduce how to issue tax receipts for my recent gala. Not intuitive at all.

Pros

I like the name. I do like it's ability to set up event ticketing. I don't like much else.

Cons

eTapestry is not a very intuitive database. It's Query ability is clunky and over-complicated.
