Teacher E-Learning Used the software for: 1-2 years ### "Useful Tool for Managing Resources" May 14, 2024 4.0 ClassLink took some time and extra training to roll out, but its ability to manage all apps and websites while automatically authenticating into them with school accounts makes for a clean system. Whenever students need to access resources, I know that I can count on ClassLink to help me students find what they need and to get in with minimal issue. Pros ClassLink's most useful and admirable feature is its clean interface. Once the administrator has set up the resources to be displayed, the users don't have to worry about having to navigate or dig to find the resource they would like. It is so incredibly useful for me as the teacher to simply load the needed apps and websites into ClassLink, and my students can find and open anything they need for class with just a simple click. No searching, no typing, no managing bookmarks. Cons Sometimes ClassLink--at least in regard to accessing resources--can seem like an unnecessary step. Depending on how many resources need to be managed and accessed, other tools can get the job done just as well, such as bookmarks. However, ClassLink's integration of account management (pre-signing into programs) can more than make up for this. Review Source AM Angela M. The single login makes accessing programs seamless. Apps can be organized and rearranged based on frequency of use. For our English learners and younger students, Classlink has been a life saver! Educators have instant acccess to all apps too. Pros Classlink makes accessing apps easy enough for a PreK student to navigate. Truly, PreK-12th grade, Classlink houses all district and school level apps for students with a simple single login. Cons I haven't found any dislikes! Classlink is our mainhub for student apps. It makes the workflow process efficient due to its single sign-on feature and one-stop shop for applications. It's also customizable which provides even more efficiency based on job roles and student needs. Pros The two features that I value the most are the single sign-on feature and the fact that everything I use for work can be accessed in one location. It's also pleasant to look at as you can change the background settings to what you want. Cons I have not run into any cons for Classlink. We have only had a couple of issues where the programs did not sync with the student roster properly but the ClassLink support team has always been very helpful. Cons It was a little tricky getting the servers setup and working properly but after that it has been very easy. Gone are the days of students losing their notecards with their usernames and passwords for all the different websites, programs, and apps used. Pros My favorite part of Classlink is that I don’t have to remember all those passwords for every program/app that we use at school. It’s so nice for us and for students. Once you’re in Classlink, you don’t have to stress about getting the wrong password and getting locked out of programs. Cons The only thing I struggled with was adding passwords to my “locker.” It took me a long time to get it set up and it still takes me a while when I have to change the password after the program or app required a password change. I would also like to receive ClassLink notifications in addition to the notifications I receive from Google. One of the features that is nice is the capability to store files. The actual use of these new features is still a process for me to figure out. Pros ClassLink has a number of convenient features, such as links to different websites and the option to save them to favorites, so you can access them immediately. If you wish, a separate folder may be created for any sites that you require. ClassLink can also be customized to suit your preferences regarding its color and photo. If you aren't familiar with quick pop-up, you can search up sites. Cons When I go to ClassLink, it tells me 'Error' 'Back to login' I think it could be better in my opinion, and should be changed as far as development goes. Classlink made our process of changing to e learning much easier. Now all students know how to get to their classlink as well as our staff. Pros Not that each student can login to their classlink, any website they made need to get their work completed is there. Are staff also have critical links and website they use on their own classlink. Having this has been very helpful with parents as it is easy to use. Cons The only con I could think of was when we were implementing this new product for our e learners. If students did know their password then game over. That is not classlinks fault though. SSO and OneRoster make everything a million times simpler. Pros Easily my most favorite part of ClassLink is the OneRoster integration. It has made rostering year to year so much easier and take much less time than it used to. Cons I think they need to have better integration with other applications. Currently, it is up to the client (me) to reach out to each application you would like to integrate with and it can be quite a pain getting everybody on the same page. Review Source WN Wendy N. I really like that all the software icons are in one place and have one central login. I do teacher trying and find it is easier to explain to colleagues how to find information when it is located in one place. For students it allivates the problem of multiple logins, they can easily locate Office 365 or Moodle from one screen. The access is also available from home computers and devices, although the login feature is disabled, it is still helpful. Pros One login and done. It is nice to go to one place and use one sign-in/password. We just started using it at the beginning of this school year. I like it. Pros Like the review says, I love the single sign in both for myself and for my students. Once you are on classLink all of the sites you use appear as a icon and you don't have to go somewhere else to access them. Cons The way our IT department set up a lot of the software is through this site. So if it is down, you can't sign in on the site you are trying to access; you must use classLink. We use it to navigate to most websites and Google-related apps they need to use. And they only need to log in once! Pros I love it that, as a teacher, I can log in to Classlink and have everything that I need in one place. All of our district software is located and categorized, and my log-in is saved, so it makes it much more efficient for me. Cons I do t have any complaints. One login and they can securely access all the other apps, that are customizable. As a teacher it keeps me logged in all day to all the applications I use throughout the day. Cons It use to be a nightmare getting kids logged in multiple different applications. The only issue I have is in safari, we are looking at the issue to fix not letting students logout. It's been very helpful! Pros We love Classkick. It allows us to see individual student responses in both formative and summative assessment needs, and that information allows us to leave comprehensive feedback. Students can also raise their hands and get help from peers. There are different manipulatives available in there. Cons The signing of the names/editing with a link instead of a roster can get tedious, and setting up the portfolio options with at-risk remote students can create confusion. August 29, 2019 4.0 It has been a great experience, though a little confusing at times. Pros You can login to this product and have a "desktop" of "shortcuts" to all of your other apps. And better yet, by clicking on them, they log you into them automatically. Having to only remember one login and password is huge! Cons It takes quite a bit of setup behind-the-scenes to get setup with rostering (for systems using classes) and in order to setup SSO and setting up desktops per group.
