My husband and I needed a simple solution that we could track withholdings and taxes. NannyPay was easy to use and printed our W2s and Schedule H in a few clicks of a button. The set up wizard adding our employees and ourselves was easy to understand. Since we pay by check we didn't need the extra bells and whistles the other service companies offer. Well worth it! Pros Affordable, easy to use, no added fees! Easy to calculate taxes and print our forms for taxes. Cons No direct deposit, but we didn't need it, so it didn't matter for us. There is little valuable direction to submit taxes accurately. Got hit with a $3k+ irs bill a year later. Will NEVER use this again. Cons Truly awful. Will never use again or recommend to anyone. Response from Vendor April 4, 2025 We're deeply sorry that Brittany M. had such a poor experience with NannyPay. we recognize that as a "do-it-yourself" (DIY) payroll tax application NannyPay may not meet everyone’s expectations. NannyPay’s DIY approach is a powerful feature of the software that permits household employers to save hundreds of dollars each year over payroll services. Yet, because NannyPay is a DIY application it requires a basic knowledge and self-education of federal and state tax rules to correctly set up the software. We always recommend users review their tax settings with a tax professional to make sure that they are correct. We are always available to help users with the software. Incurring tax liability with the IRS was most certainly the result of an improper tax setting. We've been in business since 1997 and we're unaware of any other customer with a similar experience. We wish this customer had contacted us and perhaps her experience would have been better. EP Erin P. This really removes the headache. The best part is that our nanny LOVES it too. There's no guessing game for her come tax time and she appreciates how convenient it is. We're all able to record everything without any fear of having something be inaccurate. A win-win for all of us! Pros You can't really beat the price. Compared to other payroll services, this is a fraction of what of the cost of competitor sites/services. NannyPay also allows you to print out W2 and Schedule H forms that are ready to sign and ship to your CPA (If you have one). Cons It can be a little time consuming when you first start your account, but once you get the hang of it, it's pretty user-friendly. However, it's not super user-friendly, probably because it doesn't have much competition so there's no incentive to update the program. Pros It was the cheapest solution I could find for a software to pay a household employee and file the appropriate forms and taxes. It does the job, but it could definitely stand an update to the look and user interface. Cons The info available to get it set up and do ongoing reporting and tax filing isn't super helpful. It's hard to feel very confident that it's all correct when there isn't much in the way of explanation available in the software, their website or help section. I actually have my accountant double-check everything when I file my annual taxes.
