Pros: I do independent contracting for a nonprofit and have been using Constant Constant for about 4 years now for the electronic newsletters to our supporters and network. I love that the software and the many different template options to use for mailings. I also like that I am able to change fonts, color, backgrounds and layout with ease. It is VERY user friendly and if I need to stop in the middle of my work it, will be saved where I left off. This is actually an update because in the past if you didn't save the work manually you could lose it, but they have updated that and it now autosaves (which I am very grateful for). Also, I love that I can schedule mailings and campaigns in advance for when I want them to go out (I currently have 5 pending to go out on designated days within the next 5 weeks). This save me a lot of time and not having to wait til the day of to log on and send them out.

What I REALLY like is that we can track analytics. we know what emails (and topics) people are more interested in versus ones they barely open. This helps us in choosing more engaging content. I know what percent of our contacts have opened the emails. I can create different groups to send certain thing to (like Board members, parents, LSC), I am even able to see the time and date (and by whom) an email was opened and if the donate button was clicked or not (which is good for best practices and implementing measures of accountability within the org).

Cons: I don't like that the only videos that I can embed into the mailings have to be a Youtube link. But other than that, there isn't much that I do not like about using this software.

Constant Contact is an easy-to-use email marketing tool - a little pricey but worth the expense!

Pros: As an email marketing solution, CC fits most small to medium business owners needs with plenty of easy to edit templates, branded emails, newsletters, calendars, event apps, and website integrations. Additionally, business owners can set up events and registrations via the app. The templates are easy to use with varied options and designs. For more experienced handlers, HTML is available to set up templates. Emails offer clients and recipients the opportunity to opt out or stay tuned while landing the emails in their in box rather than their spam filters . Analytics are a plus and helpful to see what works and what doesn't in an email campaign. CC also integrates social media platforms. Overall it is a great all-in-one marketing tool.

Cons: While the software is generally easy to use, it is not intuitive and does on occasion produce glitchy results from missing images to random changes in text, font, and email structure. I do like the tiered pricing structure, although find CC to be far more expensive than their competitors. One of my biggest complaints is the placement of images - it doesn't really allow flexibility in design - if you are ok with their more cookie cutter template designs then its a 5 star - but the ability to place images becomes tedious and reduces the functionality. Overall the program is a go and worth the expense even if the image placement issues are annoying.

Overall: Overall a great product, easy to use, and functional. its minor limitations are countered by functionality, reliability, and the features it offers. The price is sometimes a turnoff when compared to other marketing email providers. CC offers easy to use templates that are almost fully customizable. Lots of extra features including campaigns, events, registrations, sign up forms etc. There are plenty of HELP menu items and tutorials. Love that there is no limit on the number of emails sent monthly. Overall a great go to product!

Pros: I use CC to to manage our large contact database and to send out email updates. It is great for segmenting our list -- from general interest to communications to fundraising. The automated features are great, especially that it will not allow the same email to appear in the same inbox twice. It also merges duplicate contacts. We use it across the entire organization. Constant contact is great for merging duplicate contacts, updating your address book, giving a reliable open rate and thorough reports, and allowing you to segment large email lists.

Cons: When uploading additional contacts, CC wants to see how they actively subscribed. This can be problematic when uploading an older email list (i.e. you may just have a spreadsheet of The List and they want to see more evidence). Additionally, it is a little pricey compared to competitors such as MailChimp. It would be great to be able to export email campaigns as HTML.Be extremely careful when importing contacts. Constant Contact wants to see how they actively subscribed. Sometimes it is hard to prove this when you have entered information for people you have an established relationship with, or if they verbally requested to be added. Constant Contact wants to actually see the (paper) sign-up sheet. This is unachievable for businesses/groups that have been around long enough to have established an email list based on personal relationships or when importing business cards. As for the design, sizing images can be difficult when you are using a self-designed template. As for the contact management services, representatives have very little technical knowledge and don't seem to understand marketing techniques used within certain industries.

Overall: The email analytics and reports are great.

Pros: Love the ease of use - whether you want to send a quick email using a premade template, or customize every part of your message, Constant Contact gives you the tools. It's easy to find what you need, and you don't need to know anything about pixel size or the HTML color codes to create professional emails.

Constant Contact just introduced A/B testing, so you can better gauge the headings and send times that get your audience to open the emails.

Constant Contact is a very solid platform - I've yet to see any service outages, or experience any features that feel buggy, unstable, or like they're still in beta testing. If you have access to a feature on Constant Contact, you know that it will work.

Cons: It's difficult to manage old campaigns. Want to see what your message was last time, what template you used, or how long ago you sent an email to a particular group? Good luck - you'll be scrolling through pages of old campaigns by hand.

At this time, you can't run reports to compare the percentage of opens/click-throughs per recipient group, or to compare how various keywords or send-times compare. To really analyze your marketing approach, you'll have to extract this data by hand.

Some of the updates (i.e. A/B testing, custom template options) have been available to users of free competitor services for years. It would be nice to see Constant Contact take a more proactive approach to innovation and updates.

Overall: Constant Contact is the standard for email marketing, and you can see why! It allows you to quickly upload your email contacts and create professional email marketing. We've been able to see how many people open each of our email campaigns, and which campaigns are most successful, making future marketing more targeted.

Pros: Constant Contact makes it really easy to make attractive, functional emails and to conduct email campaigns with sequencing. Building emails is done via a drag-and-drop interface (WYSIWYG), so you don't have to have any coding experience with html or css. It's really easy to schedule your campaigns, too. If you can use Outlook and Word, you should be able to get comfortable with Constant Contact pretty quickly. It's also really easy to build and manage contact lists, including importing from csv files. And Constant Contact does a good job of tracking bad email addresses and removing them from your lists, which is important because you are charged by the number of contacts you have. I also like that you can send yourself previews so you can try the messages out on different mail programs and tweak them to your liking. Once you've sent out the messages, Constant Contact offers reporting to let you know how successful your campaign was, including the click-through rate. It also sends you reports about who is being added to and removed from your contact lists. Its integration with several WordPress form plugins means it's easy to convert web traffic to email marketing recipients.

Cons: Permissions. There are basically two levels of permissions besides the account owner: campaign creator and account manager. It would be nice to have more granular control over what users can do, because account manager gives users a lot of freedom, but is necessary to work with contacts, schedule a send, etc. The other thing I don't like is how quickly the cost ramps up. Having used Emma and MailChimp, I feel like Constant Contact is the most robust platform. But it is expensive.

Overall: Converting web site visitors to email marketing recipients has never been easier, as site visitors simply select which programs they are interested in and they are automatically added to the appropriate contact lists in Constant Contact. Constant Contact has made it painless to conduct email marketing campaigns that circumvent spam filters, something that Emma and MailChimp struggled with.

Pros: Constant Contact has many features and functionalities that allow us to effectively promote any product, business or company.

It's easy to start creating email marketing campaigns with Constant Contact. It is intuitive and easy to use, its interface is simple and allows us to adapt easily to your work environment.

You can create effective campaigns with a pleasant and innovative visual style since the system has a large number of templates that we can customize and adapt to any type of campaign, there are many different designs that we can choose from.

Constant Contact will allow us to direct our campaigns to one or more contact lists that we have since we can segment our contacts very easily, simply creating different lists for each group of contacts that we need

We can perform an analysis on the campaigns sent through the option of reports, being able to quickly verify the percentages of opening, clicks, rebounds and unsubscriptions and thus we can be improving the effectiveness of our campaigns

Constant Contact allows integration with other systems such as Shopify, Wordpress, BigCommerce, facebook and others.

Cons: I think your support staff are not so good, when we call support it is difficult to find an operator that speaks Spanish and we lose a lot of time on the call, I also think that Constant Contact is a bit expensive system.

Overall: Constant Contact has been very helpful for our company, it is an excellent marketing tool that has allowed us to increase our customers and sales significantly.

It is a very complete and effective system but at the same time a little expensive if you have many contacts, but I think it is worth the investment.

Pros: It's easy to create opt-in lists and sign-up forms. There are lots of templates available to choose from, plus survey functionality and integrations with social media.

Cons: The email template designs are less than sophisticated. Many don't look good when read on a mobile device, which - thank you, Constant Contact analytics! - more than 55% of our recipients use to open their emails. The drag-and-drop interface has more limited functionality than other email providers I've tried. Design customization options are limited without knowing advanced CSS and HTML coding.

In addition, automation sequences are limited to basic autoresponders. They are challenging to set up, and there are no "if/then" logic options for sending automated messages.

Overall: Their pricing is competitive for organizations with 10,000 or more contacts. But at the end of the day, the sweet spot of Constant Contact is basic communication, not marketing.

Mobile-first responsive designs and customizable automation sequences should be a given for an industry leader known as the original pioneer of email marketing. Unfortunately, I can pick out a Constant Contact email in my inbox at a glance - and not just because of the requisite CC branding at the bottom. The look is less than elegant and does little to strengthen a company's brand.

Pros: Constant Contact is very user-friendly. With little to no training, users can easily create professional-looking emails. There are many templates to choose from and they, again, look very professional. It is perfect for businesses without designers on staff. Another major advantage is the pricing...it is SUPER reasonably priced.

Cons: A couple of issues...first, while I understand the need to manage contacts and spam issues, they can be unreasonable with blocking you from sending emails. People unsubscribe and claim you are junk mail even when you aren't...there's nothing you can do about it, yet you still get dinged for it. Second, you are limited in how much info you can see about users. We switched to another program that provides a lot more visibility into what users do, including linking to web pages visited. This isn't a fault of Constant Contact, it's just not a service they offer. Finally, be aware that there are a lot of challenges if you are sending to a lot of users with Outlook. I know that Outlook is difficult to work with, but many if not most business users use Outlook, so templates and emails have to display well there. It's a challenge with our new software as well...I don't know if anyone has really cracked the Outlook solution yet.

Overall: Constant Contact was a great tool for us while we were getting started with our email program. It's reasonably priced and easy to use and makes users look very professional. We just outgrew it and needed more in-depth marketing information so we've moved on.

Pros: We've been using Constant Contact for a number of years for our email marketing efforts. The interface is easy to use, although a bit glitchy at times, and I have seen a number of platform upgrades as well. I like the ready made templates available which come in handy when needing to put together an email quickly. The analytics provided are good, although I can't comment on how robust they are given this is the only platform I have ever used for email marketing. The addition of some email automation has been nice as well. Also, the recently added inbox previews has been nice to help tighten up subject lines and formatting.

Cons: Sometimes I've noticed the interface can be a bit glitchy when building an email. The buttons used for changing background color and making edits can be elusive at times. I also don't like how there is no search function for finding sent emails by name. I know you can filter emails by date sent and categorize them in folders but it would be nice to be able to search by an exact email title.

Pros: The feature that is most useful in my current job situation is the technology this program has to track opens and clicks for basic to intricate emails that are sent out to customers. This helps us to determine our most interested and time worthy customers/prospects for different products.

Another thing is that you can import/export large amounts of data whenever you need it, and they have the tools all over the website that can help you every step of the way how to get the most out of the email campaigns. Continuous updates and features are added to the website monthly, with an article explaining all about it pops up in your notifications.

Cons: Sometimes if there is too much data/campaigns integrated into the website it can slow simple tasks down by large degree. Also there are many late night website touch ups they need to do to make the program better - but also annoys us night owls that like to get projects done late at night.

Overall: Sending emails out on a daily basis and extracting that data keeps my boss happy and healthy. We are always checking out their new features that might help us even more on our marketing trails. For what you get, you are not paying too much which is cost effective!

Pros: It is very simple to use! The navigation is simple :) It really couldn't be any easier for a first-time user to figure out. A kid could definitely use it without any guidance (provided that they can read). I really enjoy using it, so that's a plus. I also love that you can view how many emails were opened , even who opened them and what they clicked on! As a marketing person, that's the greatest gift ever. Real data you can see, use and understand. Sadly, not all marketing products offer that. But Constant Contact does! And they do it well.

Cons: Most of the templates end up looking sort of outdated. I describe it as "an early 2000s vibe." They could really use a face-lift to make them more attractive. That's honestly the only thing I don't like about it. Everything else is super great! Wish they'd adapted a more Mailchimp-esque look for all of their products. I think they would crush the competition if they changed up the look a bit.

Pros: The email design features are awesome, and adding pictures is pretty easy. You can build your own library of photos to use. Designing and changing email templates is quite straightforward, and fully customizable with colours, fonts and 'blocks' of type such as main feature, coupon, etc. I have only used customer support twice and they were cheerful and helpful. Almost every email brings one or more bookings so I feel using this service is worth the price. It's also easy to manage your email lists and CC helps guard against repeated bounces by sort of quarantining those email addresses to protect you from a poor sender reputation, which is important with ever-tightening SPAM regulations. There are upgrades available, should you want to send out forms or questionnaires to your list too.

Cons: It is an expense for a small business, and the bigger your list the more it costs. Every once in a while the formatting goofs up and can be frustrating, and copy/paste formatting is sometimes a bit challenging. But the folks at CC work at that all the time and it's improved greatly over the years.

Overall: Constant Contact allows me to easily send professional emails to my clients and readers without worrying about leaking their data out or delivering viruses to their inboxes.

Pros: The automation of this software is beyond intuitive it's closer to artificial intelligence than anything. Providing crucial analytical data back to myself and my team we could reconfigure our approach to different demographics which ultimately LED in huge surges and increases in business.

Cons: For some reason with most of these automated mail programs the same issues tended to plague them. The double opt out feature is what I'm really talking about which is also known as the unsubscriber list. Often clunky and the only part of the whole package that wasn't intuitive as it required individual attention which raised costs in man hours. That was easily negated by the large number of business it brought in due to its strong analytics though. This is a important tool for a smaller business looking to take the next step.

Overall: With this software I didn't run into the normal problems of implementing changes in the physical appearance of the content of my mailer and it seemed to not get caught up in spam filters like other programs that offer the same thing this company offers it and actually follows through with it. I would recommend this.

Pros: Contant Contact makes it easy for us to send a quick e-mail out to our members. They have everything set up for you, so that you can upload a document, image, and/or video. I love that they give you the option to change the background colors and schedule days and times for the e-mails to be sent out. I love how reliable this software is when it comes to importing contacts and making sure our clients receive the emails on time, I love the statistics it provides us. That has definitely helped our organization improve. Constant Contact is the way to go!

Cons: The new update is a little more time consuming. I have been using Constant Contact for 2 years and getting used to the new update has been a bit frustrating. I also wish there were more templates for the buttons. Such as "click here for more", "register here" and etc. I think that would be a great addition.

Pros: Great tool for a small business or organization to communicate with supporters and customers. Very easy to manage contacts and lists. Countless email templates provided, plus it is easy to create your own templates.

Out of the box reporting on opens, click-thrus, opt-outs, and more are highly intuitive.

Cons: Tool does not offer marketing automation functionality, as in -- if an email is opened, but the desired action is not taken, automatically send a follow-up email in two days or if the email is not opened, automatically send a follow-up email with a different subject line and different customized content in a week.

Overall: Constant Contact allows us to easily manage our email contacts and lists. It has saved us time by providing email templates that we can customize to our brand.

The reporting the tool provides also gives us the intelligence we need to see if our list is growing or shrinking.

Pros: Constant Contact is EXTREMELY easy to use - it is fairly straight forward and fool proof. The customer service may be the greatest I've ever experienced with any company. Every single person I have spoken to is so nice, so knowledgeable, and quick to help me out.

Cons: The features for creating layouts is really basic - there are no tables and you are limited to the pre-made columns/sections which can be incredibly frustrating. For instance, if I have five people I want to list at the bottom for contact, I have to do a row of 3 and a row of 2 which gets big and cumbersome. There are limitations to how tall certain tools are which again make the email campaign longer than necessary. The reporting section could use some help, its not easy to navigate or understand. The reporting section is prettier than it is informative.

Overall: I use Constant Contact multiple times per week to market listings for a sales team. This option has allowed us to reach more contacts than other platforms and increase our visibility in the market.

Pros: I love how organized you can be with this service. It is easy to create and edit mailing lists and contacts. I also appreciate how simple it is to create and publish multiple future mailings and how the mailings are then organized by publishing date so you easily keep track of them. This is extremely helpful for when you have to send a series of mailers in a week for multiple weeks in a row.

Cons: I found that it takes a good bit of effort to figure out the usability of this service. There are a lot of options that Constant Contact has to offer for your mailers, but it is quite overwhelming at first learning everything. If you are not naturally organized or have a plan for how to use this service, you may get easily discouraged at its intricacies when first learning. There are a lot of steps you have to make in order to perform each task.

Overall: Overall, I do recommend Constant Contact over its competitors. Through this service, I have been able to keep track of thousands of contacts and stay on top of mailings. Because I work for a non-profit, I often have to put multiple links in emails for people to access, and being able to easily resend the same emails without sending them again to all of the contacts that were previously selected is great!

Pros: What I like most about Constant Contact (CC) is the ability to import and export contact lists so I can save and re-use particular lists as needed. I often have to run update reports to add newer applicants (or new "interested" leads) and/or change the message text to target a specific audience and then send it to those who need to be contacted; not having to create a brand new list or try and merge two different files is so helpful. Being able to preview email messages when you need to tweak something is a real time saver too! And I love the "reminders" feature so I know when it's time to reconnect with certain interested contacts.

Cons: Honestly there isn't much I don't like about CC...? Oh, right now it will not seamlessly import into the CSM tool our front desk team is using (they end up having to do a little work-around), but that will soon be fixed as they are switching another program that easily works with CC.

Overall: I've used CC to create and track event and orientation registrations, send out email blasts, reminders, and/or updated messages and flyers. I've also used CC to gather new and old leads, create and maintain lists of interested applicants, as well as track applicants who move to admitted students. It is also a great tool for marketing new programs and gathering and testing different message and design styles to see which ones gather more interest. I especially use it to email large groups without being blocked as a spammer. I really don't spam targeted leads, but with some email providers all it takes is like 5 users with the same @.... address and you can get blocked, so being able to use CC for larger emails is a big plus!

Pros: Constant Contact is a convient way to create beautiful emails to send to a host of contacts. I have used the tool personally for email marketing for retail businesses. Constant Contact allows you to easily manage your contact lists as well as design beautiful, professional emails to send.

Cons: Some of the features are a bit hard to understand and take some practice to get used to. Changing colors of pre-set templates is difficult for a beginner. I also found that sometimes my emails would look different once I sent them then they did in the Constant Contact interface. These small changes weren't detremental to the email's message or anything and maybe customers wouldn't even notice them, but I found it frustrating having put thought and time into the placement of each item.

Overall: Constant Contact is a GREAT tool for designing emails quickly and easily. At the retail establishment I worked at that used this tool, we were able to create beautiful emails announcing new products, inviting clients to events, sharing sale info and more. Constant Contact allows you to include video and links to social media, and comes with a plethora of premade templates to make things especially easy for users. The tool definitely saved time and money and was effective for getting people into the store to make sales. Constant Contact also gives you the ability to manage your email list, remove people whose emails may have bounced or who wish to unsubscribe.

Pros: It is easy to use and provides templates to make your emails easy to create and have built in mobile design. There is help with expanded hours that will assist you with creating emails, list management and any other issue you have. I consider this a major plus because there can always be questions and with support, saves you time.

The reporting features are outstanding. You can see who is opening what and what links they are clicking on, to name just a few reporting features. Also, you can now personalize subject line and add emojis. New features are always being added.

Cons: More templates are always being added, but could use a few more for holidays.

Overall: Excellent product that integrates well with overall marketing workflow. The support is prompt and it is solid technically.

Comments: For the price, this program provides an excellent tool for organizations that focus on email marketing campaigns. If your needs are focused around email marketing, this is certainly the program to consider.

Pros: This software worked well for our email campaigns, but it lacked some features that were specific to the growing needs of our organization. We definitely would have stayed with this software if it would have met all the needs of our organization as we grew in size and function. The templates were easy to customize, and the emails always looked very professional. I also liked how the emails were tied into the registration page and the final reports.

Cons: This is not an easy program to learn how to use. It's easy to make mistakes, especially when learning the program. Thank goodness for the excellent tech support provided. Their skilled and friendly tech support makes up for the difficulty learning the software. Their tech support is the main reason I would encourage others to consider using this software because of the steep learning curve. They fixed many problems for me, and they were always eager to help!

Pros: Constant Contact is limitless. Want to send an eblast, create a platform for registration, or send automated trials or incentives? Constant Contact does just that and so much more. Very simply, without us using Constant Contact daily, we would not know who our prospective clients are and we would not engage the ones that are with us. When we use Constant Contact, we know our members and always see results.

Cons: There is nothing we dislike or like least about Constant Contact. It is marketing made easy.

Overall: Our organization loves Constant Contact. When we log in, we feel accomplished. It allows us to look like our organization, sound like our organization, and be received by clients who support our organization. It's a dream come true and makes all-important marketing simple.

Pros: I have used Constant Contact for various groups for over 10 years. The newsletters and email list management is very easy to learn and manage and the reporting availability (opens, etc) is good too. For groups that hold events and need to promote, register, get paid, and so forth for those events the Email Plus is a great option and it works well. For all these years they have offered a consistent and strong product. One thing to consider, if you are looking for software like this is to consider if you also have or need membership management as part of your group's needs... you may want to look around for a software that includes that service feature as Constant Contact does not have that membership management feature.

Cons: The price is quite high when compared to what you can get with other software (Wild Apricot) that offers email newsletters, event management, and also the total membership management part. If your group or company does not have members or need that management feature... then I always recommend Constant Contact for the newsletters and event management.

Overall: Using and learning Constant Contact is not difficult... and you can really create some nice looking email newsletters and setup/manage the email lists very quickly. What I have always liked is their Event management features (with the Plus level of service) for event promotion, registration, payments, tracking, and reporting. For groups and companies that don't have members, it is a great option to consider.

Pros: Great customer service. Whenever we encountered problems with data uploads/downloads or other situations, the phone support was quick to answer and very knowledgeable. Inexpensive for the quality of email platform. Great for small businesses.

Cons: Not catered towards mid to large organizations selling multiple products and services. Unable to created multiple lists for product or services with the option for recipients to unsubscribe from just the one list (unsubscribes from all).

Overall: Overall the Constant Contact tools are easy to use and very professional. We are a mid-sized financial institution that sends around 14 to 28 thousand emails per week. When I came into my role we had been using Constant Contact for a number of years. However, I felt that we had outgrown its capabilities. The platform is primarily for small businesses and some of the features were lacking for what we needed. Specifically, the ability to create separate subscription lists. That said, the customer service is amazing and if you live/work in the Boston area then there are always training seminars going on.

Recommendations to other buyers: As a financial institution, it is worth paying more for an email marketing platform that integrates with your core or at least that is customized for the industry.

Pros: I recently took over the mailing and marketing for our company. Pretty much had a crash course from previous person in charge of it. Found it pretty easy to use once I figured it out. The templates have saved my life for 'on the fly' mailings. Pretty easy to go in and customize the template already close to what you want but want to add your person company or touch to it. I really appreciate the effort that goes into the templates. Also, found that the mailings go out when they say they are going to go out - a real nice feature!

Cons: Understanding and navigation buttons can sometimes send you into a tizzy . . they need to work on some flexibility to size when adding a picture or custom logo. Usually have found work around but not a lot of room for error. Also . . the preview is not really a preview. The email can sometimes actually look a little off . . not bad but a small error now and then can be frustrating.

Overall: I said in my PROS for the software. A good value and love the templates in a pinch. They can really get you out of bind if sales or marketing suddenly decides a need for a mailing in an hour. Saved me many times. I do like the overall format and the timeliness of the mailings when you set up your mailings to go out in the advance . . great job!

Pros: Constant Contact provides a user-friendly interface that allows users to create visually-friendly e-blasts. The address book setup is relatively straightforward, and the creation of templates that can be "cloned" for messages is effortless. I appreciate the flexibility and incorporation of mobile-friendly newsletters. The scheduling feature has saved significant time within our organization. I've also found the statistics to be very interesting and helpful in choosing content for our messages.

Cons: There is no editing tool for mobile devices (iPad, iPhone, etc.). The newsletters need to be edited within a web browser. This prevents quick messages from being created on-the-fly.

Pros: I have used this software program for years in my real estate business. This is a great way to stay in front of your clients and potential clients. I can schedule this software to contact clients as little or as often as I like. I love the customizable newsletters and mailers to keep things interesting and fun.

Cons: I would like to be able to integrate other programs to cooperate with this software, sending my clients updated listings, things like that. Otherwise, this is a powerful marketing tool and one of the best products for the money out there.

Overall: I have had great success with Constant Contact over the years. This tool will make you money to pay for the cost and your clients will appreciate the consistency in your business.

Pros: Constant Contact does a great job of managing multiple groups/list and lots of contacts. I've worked with clients who have a large customer base and Constant Contact allows managing large amounts of group/lists and allows you to manual remove unsubscribers and errors. They are rolling out a new version of their email builder, but the older version does allow custom css coding per block which really allows customizing their templates.

Cons: There are a lot of quirks within Constant Contact that I haven't seen in Mailchimp, specifically with using external links for photos and links. The actual editing of text and links within the email builder is quirky and has some issues. Also, the new search feature for previous emails is really slow and takes a long time to find previous emails unless you create folders for all your emails.

Recommendations to other buyers: Give it a try along with Mailchimp and see which one you find better useful for your business. I've used Constant Contact for 5+ years and have a lot of experience with it, but its starting to show its age in many ways. Hopefully the newer version will bring it up to par with Mailchimp in the line of creating emails and removing some of the quirks.

Pros: I only have good things to say about Constant Contact. Maybe because I have used it for many years and it keeps improving. Application is user-friendly. As simple as drag and drop. If you need help on anything, they have the tutorials and rep who are always ready to help and teach you. The price is so reasonable and they also reward you for promoting the application by giving you credits. But to me, what got me sold is the insight features that helps you improve the way you do email marketing.

Cons: So far I got no cons to share because it has been a pleasure using this app.

Comments: There's a little something for everyone here, and not just for email marketing. You can use their templates, design your own, or use their social media integration to tie your marketing into your Facebook or Twitter profiles.

Pros: I love that I can take a flyer from my art department and import a PDF of it directly into Constant Contact. This is a recently added feature and makes my job much easier. I can send the flyer out to our mailing lists, and print the same document for my sales reps to hand out to their customers. This enables us to design 1 flyer rather than 2. If you're the type to build your email campaigns from scratch then they have you covered there with a great content layout system that is flexible and easy to use. If you're one of those really fancy people who likes to get all nerdy and mess with CSS then you can do that, too.

Cons: There's not much to dislike honestly. I suppose I'd like it to be easier to find old email campaigns and resend them to new lists or contacts, but that's about it.

Pros: Constant Contact is really easy to use - it's features of templates, integrations and customizability for automation and sequences is a real boom for businesses to maintain customer contact - to stay on top of mind and influence their behaviour - while not taking too much time doing it - is awesome. The list management features of tags help you slice & dice your lists to ensure that they are catered to with great customized message.

Cons: It can get really expensive for very large lists, especially when compared to various newer alternatives. The editor can at times be frustrating as you cant fix a small niggle like a space between elements and the test email looks different from the actual broadcast email. List management features like a dashboard with data & analysis of the list of the number of people who are frequent viewers, frequent clicks, non-openers, etc are really useful to take a look at what is happening to the list & its health.

Overall: Email marketing tool for top of mind & conversion.

Pros: Once your templates are created it makes it easier. You can send to lots of people at one time - making 10,000 emails to go out super simple. In addition, they can remove themselves and CC doesn't send again without their permission. We love seeing who viewed, clicked through the email or even forwarded it on!

Cons: You can't attach a name to several emails - this is an inconvenience. I feel as though there are random glitches quite often and that can be time-consuming.

Overall: We use Constant Contact on a regular basis. Once we had created several templates, it's simple creating an email! We also utilize design programs like Canva to increase our creativity.

Recommendations to other buyers: Utilize customer support! They are awesome!

Comments: Overall I think this is a great program to use to make contact and stay in contact with your customers and prospective customers. It allows you to build relationships within specific groups and creates a professional and inviting identity for your business.

Pros: Constant Contact is a very user friendly way of creating email blasts to clients and prospective clients or customers. They offer many templates that look professional and creative. They also allow you to customize their templates for a more unique look. The analytics of the email is very helping to decide and design future campaigns based on past ones. I like the ability to create customized lists in order to track and chose who I am marketing to.

Cons: It would be nice to have more options for templates based on industry and themes. Cost is also a factor as you get higher lists it starts to become prices for a small business who has simply been able to get a lot of opt ins. Customizing the template can be somewhat difficult for anyone who is not completely experienced at using them.

Pros: The drag and drop format for building an email template is perfect for non-web design/developers. No HTML needed here. Also you are able to resize photos just by dragging the corner. I like how simple it is to design an email and see just how it looks as you go. New social media management - I haven't tried it yet but I'm excited about this great feature!

Cons: Limited (or only one choice) of how the sign up form looks and what options are included on sign-up. Unable to create custom triggers. Need more options on how to view data received by surveys, and how those surveys are linked back to contacts.

Overall: I was able to cheaply design a custom program for a website that tracked client progress, sent weekly accountability reminders and instructions. One person doing the work of 3? Constant Contact was able to make that happen.

Pros: It literally can do everything someone could want, and more than I can even learn how to do.

Cons: I have the frequent (or so it seems) interface upgrades, where I lose efficiency trying to learn a new system. I also dislike how difficult it is to deselect a list from a mailing. I have to create my list over to remove the names I want to deselect, and then restore when I'm done.

Overall: Constant Contact is a necessary evil. Everytime I consider finding a lower price option, and one with a simpler interface, I realize that there are many features I'd have to abandon. They really are the leaders in the field, and I just have to make time to keep on top of frequent upgrades and enhancements.

Pros: I like that Constant Contact is super easy to use. You can add contacts, create lists, and create campaigns easily. I like that there are templates to use to make campaign creation easy. There is a "schedule" function to send campaigns at the most opportune time, which is handy as well.

Cons: I don't like that they changed how you can address "bounced" email addresses. It's a process to unsubscribe people manually and now the easiest way to avoid bounces is the delete the contact altogether-definitely not ideal.

Overall: Overall we are pretty happy with Constant Contact. It is very functional for us with the paid version that we use.

Pros: I love that I can set a template and just keep going back to it over and over and just make the changes I need to make.

The send time it relatively short so I am able to get a message to my customers pretty quickly.

I use Constant Contact several times a week.

Adding in new emails is quick and easy too!

Cons: There is no way to set an email to send as a recurring email. So every month I have to re-create my Monday/Tuesday eblasts separately, one for each Monday and Tuesday, sometimes up to 10 separate emails. While I don't have to re-do the actual emails I have to copy them and schedule them separately. Long, pain in the back process.

I have trouble with spacing sometimes. As in, I set the spacing between words, then hit enter and it changes. No way to get it to stay where I want it.

Not a lot of cool fonts to work with but it is possible to create a document in Word using cool fonts and then copy and paste that in.

Overall: Answered in my review.

Pros: Simple to use. It was almost a "drag and drop" type of format with a little more flexibility. We used the email, events, and polls/surveys features.

Cons: I used it at a previous company, so I'm not sure if this is still an issue or not: I had a heck of a time with trying to use any sort of HTML formatting.

Another issue I had was that the email send outs were very sporadic. I wouldn't always get notifications I should've.

Purely a cosmetic complaint, but the Event pages don't look modern/are kind of clunky looking.

Overall: Everything was in one place for our event management and communications regarding the event.

Pros: I love the fact that Constant Contact is so easy to use. You can build and design an email that can easily be sent out to your whole database or just a selection of unique people from your database. We have built emails about fundraisers, important information, upcoming events and more. It is easy to create and I like that they have options to change colors and designs. I especially like the fact that responses can come directly to my email. As well as people can easily unsubscribe if our emails are not being well received. I also like that I can send a test out to see what it will look like.

Cons: Our package with Constant Contact is limited to two users. This makes it difficult for multiple people to check it out. Other than that, this is a great software and very easy to use.

Overall: I like to be able to customize and easily send mass emails to our database. This is a great and easy to use software that does just that!

Pros: Easy to use, easy to learn. The best feature in the basic subscription is the campaign creation tool. It's not as easy to use as Power Point or Publisher or even Word but it does the job.

Cons: Campaigns do not translate well to print projects. We send a weekly newsletter by email with CC, but we still have some folks who don't have email or internet of any kind or even a smart phone. We would like to print a copy of the CC e-newsletter and mail it to these folks, but haven't found a way that looks good or is easy to do.

Overall: We use it weekly for e-newsletters and have been satisfied with the process. We are a smal organization with under 100 recipients. We have the basic subscription due to price. When we demonstrated the product during our free trial, we had access to all the premium features which are very good but we can't afford the cost to upgrade. We still have issues with getting the newsletter to people who don't have email. I text the link to some but there are others who don't have smart phones or internet. Printing does not work well at all. It takes a very long time to get the formatting to look good and to fit it on the page correctly. I don't bother with it now and those folks get left out.

Pros: You can easily create templates and edit them. The interface is easy to use and doesn't require much expertise to familiarize with the same. Integration with CRM applications like sales force. You can check out the Feedbacks of your campaigns. Provides analytics where you can check out the page visits, bounce rates, and exit rates. Upload images and you can work across the different email service providers. Navigation is easy. You can personalize emails.

Cons: More upgrades required in tracking metrics. Social media sharing is complicated. Using templates of the application is in fact very tedious and require a lot more variety of templates. Coding errors encountered. The customer service and support team are not very responsive. The graphics look too much outdated as compared to the current trends. Some of the new updates are quite time-consuming.

Overall: I've been using Constant Contact for multiple organizations for about 10 years. For email marketing with additional features (e.g. surveys) I believe it's the gold standard. The contact management is very easy to learn and navigate. There are many templates for emails, and many customizable features.

EventSpot is not quite as friendly, especially for users with a large number of events. There are many good features, although some vary slightly from the pure email marketing functionality and the new way they list events needs changes.

Cons: If I had to pick one thing if was the fact that I could only store some many images for the base fee that I was paying (I think it was five). That was a minor issue for me though, as I made it work with what I had.

Overall: It took a complicated task and dumbed it down enough so that even I could use it. I'm a content creator, not a tech person, so I want to focus on my writing and not the tech side of running a online business.

Pros: This is so simple to use. I hadn't used this software before and came into a new job and was able to easily navigate and make beautifully designed notifications for our communication needs. The capabilities and pre-made template styles make it easy to keep designs looking consistent, but yet it's not so hard to change the format for a special campaign. We use this weekly to notify our subscribers and to keep them informed on what's going on in a very professional format. I really like that I have the ability to copy previous campaigns and simply revamp with new info, or I can design something completely new. Scheduling is a breeze and provides super reliable delivery to whatever email list I choose..

Cons: I would like to see many more fonts and layouts, just to change things up a bit. So with that said, maybe the program is a bit limited in that way, but still offers plenty of styles and fonts to keep things fresh!

Overall: Loving this! It makes my job so easy and keeps subscribers happy with updated info delivered on time.

Pros: This is one of the best systems to create email marketing campaigns, it is very easy to use compared to other similar systems and contains features and functionalities that facilitate the development of email marketing strategies.

There are many predesigned designs that we can choose to create our campaigns to provide an attractive and professional visual effect, we can also create our own designs easily, we simply drag and drop the items we need.

We can segment our contact lists in a very simple way, it also allows us to incorporate forms on our websites to add subscribers.

We can make an analysis of our campaigns and improve results since the system allows us to carry statistics of the shipments that we do.

Cons: What I do not like very much about constant is its price, I think it is a bit expensive and its support management system is not so good, but in general it is a great system.

Overall: It has helped me a lot to increase sales and get new clients, I think that this system is very efficient if we use it properly.

Pros: Developing emails and blasting them out couldn't be easier. The analytics are pretty standard but helpful. I haven't noticed a lot of outages either.

Cons: The site is sometimes glitchy. Not a huge deal, but sometimes it is annoying. For example: a few months back when selecting lists for emails, it would preselect the email list you used for the previous campaign so you'd have to physically uncheck that email list or the campaign would go out to the wrong list. It took Constant months to fix this issue.

Pros: Constant Contact is now directly integrated into the CRM system that is utilized by the business. Makes this extremely easy to generate mass emails to filtered groups as well as seemlessly update our "do not email" list of within the CRM. This is all done directly through CC back to our CRM without office staff having to manually indicate this within the CRM data base.

Cons: Using templated email formats for letters, flyers, etc.. is easy but putting together custom projects is a bit more labor extensive.

Overall: We utilized Constant Contacts after the business went away from using MS Access. This opened up a whole new world for client and customer communications. When the organization adopted its new CRM, we were told by the CRM managers that CC was not compatable and that we would have to utilize another software to send out mass emails, but this also entailed us to import client/customer contact data into the other software before mailings were sent. The CRM system then updated and CC became the preferred software for email connection with the CRM data base. A CC tab was even located directly on the main CRM page as part of the CRM menu. Drafting and sending emails out without having to export any information and having the preselected group being pulled directly from the CRM into CC made emailing VERY easy and updating account information even easier.

Pros: Creating top of mind awareness is a challenge for every business, but more so a small or start-up business. Constant Contact provides world class delivery and a complete package of diverse and badly needed marketing tools. Perhaps the most powerful is the ability to automate email marketing, something previously left to marketing departments in large organizations. Now a small business can sustain their marketing to a target audience over time with no day to day maintenance. It's also easy to share your content across the most popular social networking platforms.

Cons: While you can automatically share email distributions across Facebook and Twitter, the appearance of the post is rather primitive. So pay attention to the post title (it can be modified to capture attention) and the image used.

Recommendations to other buyers: Don't let cost drive your decision. While there are several competing email marketing providers that promise the same performance at lower cost (or possibly even free), they don't necessarily provide the same level of delivery (meaning your email consistently gets delivered to the intended recipient). With so much SPAM being sent, high delivery is crucial to success. Low-cost/no-cost providers may not offer all of the same set of tools either. Event planning, social advertising, auto-responders, access to images, website and social network subscriber features are all integrated into Constant Contact. And with their Toolkit subscription, everything you need is provided, including terrific training. There's no need to up-sell you later.

Pros: I really like the various templates I can choose from. No matter what "theme" I need, I can always find one that fits. The great thing is it is fully customizable, even the pre-formatted templates. I also appreciate the feedback I get. I like seeing who opened the e-mail's and who unsubscribed. It allows me to learn and create better e-mail content. It is so easy to use, even people with limited computer skills can create great content.

Cons: The price is high and based on how many subscribers I get, which means the more popular I get the more I pay. This means that when I do events and add a lot of people to my list I end up having to pay more, even if those people never open my e-mails or unsubscribe. It also does not offer e-mail automation, I have to use another system to do that which is a hassle and time consuming.

Pros: Constant Contact is one of the best email marketing platforms because it offers a variety of built-in templates. It even indicates which templates will display correctly on mobile devices. The templates are easy to customize in Constant Contacts editor. Creating, uploading, and managing contact lists is also very simple. The contact manager allows you to assign tags to contacts to track how they signed up for your email list, how long they have been a subscriber, etc.

Cons: If you are looking for an email marketing platform that offers marketing automation, pass on constant contact. It does offer a basic automation for the first few interactions with customers but, does not allow you to adjust your marketing to your customer's specific actions.

Overall: Easy to use email marketing platform with a professional looking interface and excellent reporting features.

Pros: - Excellent delivery of email to inboxes

- Solid interface to design, schedule and send emails from

- Good reporting on the back-end to track user interactions with emails

- Good support when you need it

Cons: - They are a bit more pricey than other similar services. They are like the Verizon Wireless of online emails; they do tend to perform the best but at a higher price tag

- Their template designs have been a bit dated and do not look as nice as some of the other systems out there

Overall: I have been recommending and getting my clients to look at Constant Contact for years now. They are a reliable company in the email marketing arena and they offer solid performance and support, albeit at a slightly higher price tag. I will say though, you do get what you pay for, and all of my clients that have used them really like them. I have had several switch to other services, but it has always been due to price not performance.

Constant Contact is among the best email marketing services available. But it still has its flaws.

Pros: I've been using Constant Contact for almost 10 years. We had a modest mail list when we started with CC, but we slowly converted many of those customers as email popularity grew. Constant Contact made the transition easy, and continues to make other updates to marketing trends painless as well. I especially like the seamless incorporation of posting to social media. Saves a lot of time, and allows you to run very cohesive campaigns.

Cons: I just always swallowed and paid the bill for the service. Maybe with the new rollout of more an a la carte service the price will flatten out? I also had issues with sizing and placement images from time to time, but nothing I couldn't work around.

Recommendations to other buyers: Don't be afraid to try all the bells and whistles; they're there for you to look more professional and most things work very well in Constant Contact. Also, TAKE THEIR CLASSES! You learn so much from other customers' issues and trials.

Pros: Very easy to create, send and keep track of mass emails. I like how we can get a new list with every email of who opened it, clicked a link, unsubscribed etc. really helped us weed out regulars vs. those not involved based on how actively involved they were with our newsletters. Also helped us get a better list of active emails vs. old emails with their reports on bounces, marked as spam, unsubscribes etc.

Cons: So far, I have not had any issues. The emails are send in a timely fashion, they look good with the templates we picked and we are having more people every week click on our links which is helping us see what is useful in our newsletter vs. what can be taken off since no interest has been shown.

Overall: Sending out weekly emails with current lists that Constant Contact will update based on our previous sent list.

Pros: I like being able to send lots of emails to our email lists. It is extremely helpful to have a method for sending emails to targeted groups of folks on our mailing lists. It's great to be able to customize lists of our followers and send them useful information.

Cons: The actually creation of the email can have some funky formatting stuff happen that can be a pain sometimes. The text formatting will sometimes not let you change it when you send a test email for a coworker to review, the style of the font will sometimes revert to something that you didn't want. I also find that I have to create a whole new pdf outside of Constant Contact in order to format pictures that I want to put in the email. You can't really freely place photos, so I normally create the photo spread I want and then upload that.

Overall: We are able to inform specific groups of people important information. We can reach large audiences or small audiences. Constant Contact makes it pretty easy to format attractive looking emails.

Pros: The usability of Constant Contact is what has kept me recommending the platform to others! I have now used the software at 2 different nonprofit organizations and each time it has always gotten the job done. Both organizations were relatively small (10-30 employees) and I served as a primary user at both organizations. There were times when I wouldn't be able to add or change information to our newsletters and I was able to leave directions for a newer user to make changes. A basic knowledge of Word is pretty much a sufficient background to have and you can learn the other skills along the way.

Cons: The only thing that presented a struggle at times was the formatting based off of different email systems. We can send test emails out at times and everything is lined up and working well, but once the actual email was sent there would be formatting issues. This was frustrating when we had worked painstakingly to get the information lined up and in order, only to have it change when the final result was sent out.

Overall: Overall I am pleased with the software and recommend it as an option for smaller organizations or common interest groups.

Pros: I evaluated three different email management tools before landing on Constant Contact. While most platforms are fairly similar, I thought CC offered the most professional looking newsletters and were easiest to build. One of their designers designed a template for us to use, and I highly recommend going that route if you aren't a marketer or designer and find yourself sending out emails for your company. The templates look great and are super easy to customize.

Cons: I sent out a few events invitations and didn't find them to look as good as some of the alternatives.

Overall: I use this platform once a month to send out a newsletter for my company. I have also used for event invitations, surveys, and webinar invitations, so it's a fairly versatile platform. I do prefer it over Emma, Mailchimp, etc.

I can go in there and edit pages quickly and efficiently. I like being able to directly put docs and attachments in there. My staff has gone in as well and been able to navigate easily.

Cons: The only issues I ever have in Constant Contact is in formatting. A lot of times boxes and spacing is way off. I do not know why it happens and find myself erasing and starting from scratch.

Overall: We now have over 12,000 active customers so being able to reach them in a clear and mass way is amazing. Constant contact allows this process to be simple and easy. Pros: This software is invaluable if you have a database of clients that you want to send email blasts, invitations, updates, coupons, flyers, etc. It is relatively easy to use, comes with templates that are attractive and functional, and you are able to sort the emails you collect in different databases depending on which demographic you want to target. It is also gives you stats and feedback on how the email was received, opened, clicked on, responded to, etc.

Cons: I have no complaints other than if you collect a certain size database the monthly fee goes up.

Overall: I would highly recommend this product to any business, no matter the size. It is user-friendly, it is professional and it is an invaluable business software to have in the technical age we are living in. My company uses it on a weekly basis, if not more.

Comments: There are a good deal of options out there for email marketing. Constant Contact is a reliable source and used by the bulk of my clients.

Pros: In recent months, Constant Contact has really made an attempt to step up their game. The new design interface has made the design process much easier. An additional plus is their linking with newer companies to make the data received much easier to use. For example, you can link to Shopify, which is a wonderful plus! Makes all of your hard work come to life, as you can see the direct link between emails and sales.

Cons: Currently their is no HTML input and that is very troubling for a more advanced user. The reasoning is the focus on making sure all emails are mobile and desktop ready, so understood. But still a con at this point.

Pros: I started using Constance Contact to start a weekly newsletter as a journalism intern about 3 years ago. What I liked the most about it was how easy it is to use as a beginner. My manager at the time had an entire training session set up for us to understand how it works, but after a few minutes, we both realized how intuitive the interface was for anyone who knows how to use a computer. I was able to send out my first newsletter just a few minutes after we purchased the software.

Cons: The only con with Constant Contact is the automatic renewal. Since we had just started sending out a newsletter, we wanted to try other programs like Mailchimp or Act-On, but we were automatically billed with no warning and had no choice but to continue using it.

Pros: It is very easy to use, and offers predesigned templates that can be used to promote any type of product or service and I think it is an excellent tool to reach many potential customers and grow your company.

We can also use metrics to measure the effectiveness of our emails sent, clicks received, opening rates and bounces.

I can say that it is a very effective and beneficial tool for any type of company.

Cons: It's great but maybe it's a bit expensive if your contact list is too big.

They have good anti-spam policies so you should be careful with your contact list and the campaigns you send.

Comments: Constant Contact is a great option for small-to-midsize companies - the price is right for the level of functionality you get.

Pros: The WYSIWYG email editor is very easy to understand, as are the email lists. I haven't used Constant Contact as my database of record in the past, but it has allowed me to upload a bunch of different lists and keeping track of them is simple. The unsubscribe process is easy and clear, and because so many people use Constant Contact, there's a level of trust in their subscriptions.

Cons: This is a problem that's also present in other products that allow anyone to design, but often the features that the email editor allows you to put together actually don't look that good. Obviously, that's what you get in exchange for flexibility, but if you choose to use Constant Contact, you should have someone with a design background run through the email templates your team creates to ensure they make sense visually.

Pros: The software is good at keeping track of what emails you want to send, to whom, who looked/clicked on it, and then catering additional emails to send people who did or didn't look at it. The layouts are much more appealing than setting it up in a standard email and there are mobile-friendly options, and the reporting is useful. It works with certain database/software systems so you don't have you manually update contact lists, but you can (lots of options). It auto saves your work for those that get easily distracted... there are lots of training options for the system if you want to know all the functions.

Cons: With the ever growing tech world, I am surprised it's not more user friendly. Campaigns, for example, are not what you think- they're just individual email blasts. Moving things around, adding links, photos, documents and overall navigation is very time consuming and could take 5 clicks and a lot of "am I doing this correctly"! On the plus, you usually ARE doing it correctly. I haven't used another platform, so I can't really compare, though.

Pros: Constant Contact is the BMW of email marketing platforms. They have beautiful templates for creating e-mail campaigns.

Their reporting on opens rates, and tracking click through rates to your website is superior to other products that I have tried.

Cons: Constant Contact is more expensive than some of its competitors, but if you depend largely on email marketing it is worth the price.

Pros: Constant Contact is pretty easy to use! You can use their customizable templates or build your own! Uploading logos, photos, etc is a breeze and you can store them for re-use later! Contact management within the system is easy too - you can do bulk uploads, create different send lists, etc. Once you've created and sent your email, you can even have it set to resend to folks who didn't open or engage with the first round to ensure you capture as much of an audience as possible.

Cons: It's important to save your work as you go. I have found it can time out or glitch from time to time, but if you save frequently you should be good!

Overall: We needed a product that was easy to use that would allow us to stay in touch with our followers!

Pros: Very convenient when it comes to designing newsletter and eblasts. With their custom templates and layouts, you do not have to be a graphic designer to put together a wonderful newsletter. Scheduling the dispatch time and getting the reports is also very easy. Importing email lists to the system is also a simple process, you can just all at once.

Cons: Well, it is a quite a bit expensive for small firms. And definitely not worth for firms sending out quarterly newsletters. Moreover is it not very convenient not having test feature, hard to see how things are going to go. Sometime we did have issues when uploading our designed images, the quality was out of place. We used mailchimp for some clients because of the pricing.

Overall: For a large firm constant contact is highly recommendable, it does have many perks and helps to keep things simple and easy, for a busy company. For smaller companies I would really use this, but Constant contact is good in its own way.

Pros: Constant Contact is one of the best systems to develop email marketing campaigns, mainly because it is very easy to use, we can create and segment contact lists in a simple way, it also has a great variety of pre-designed templates that we can customize to provide a professional style to our campaigns, personally I think it is a very useful tool to make sales and promote companies of any size.

Cons: Constant constact is very useful but it can also be a bit expensive, they have good anti-spam policies so we have to debug our list of contacts and be careful with the number of campaigns we send as we can be penalized if we do it properly . I think they should integrate support by email because in case of technical assistance we should always make a call to their contact numbers.

Overall: It is a great tool easy to use and very efficient to promote any product, idea or service, it helps a lot to make sales.

Pros: This software has made monthly newsletters less tedious. It has made designing the newsletter more enjoyable and easier. I like how you can use templates and easily edit them to fit your current "mailing". I also like how it syncs up with our social media accts. I no longer have to post them Constant Contact does it for me.

Cons: I wish you had a bit more control over some layouts. For instance not being able to change the width of certain columns when using a template. I would like more functionality in the app version so I could edit a newsletter while not in the office.

Overall: Overall I've enjoyed using Constant Contact. Whenever I have free time I login and play around with the features. I like that they offer classes and sometimes they are even free.

Pros: -I like being able to organize my mailing list and this software gives me so many options to do so.

-It's easy to import contacts into list.

-Once you get the hang of it, you can easily make very creative emails.

-You can schedule your emails as well.

Cons: It can get quite pricey. This is best if you have a large email list and if you really need your emails to be complex. Adding the form template to a website was somewhat difficult, and then it worked, I got lots of spam emails coming in, which increased my monthly payments for emails that I would not use. I had to constantly clean out my list and when I tried to reach out to Constant Contact about it, I never received a response.

Pros: This software allows our company endless additions to our mailing list. We are able to send out as many emails as we would like using Constant Contact. I also love the different templates offered to make the emails look appetizing to open.

Cons: The survey option of the software isn't as nice looking. I wouldn't mind the same or similar template options.

Pros: The template system is easy to use, offers many features and customizations. Creating newsletters is quick and simple. The reporting is excellent as well. Easy list management and importing. Overall there are a lot of great features of Constant Contact.

Cons: For smaller email lists, constant contact is affordable, but when you start getting into very large lists, it gets expensive. Also when working with uploading large lists, they will freeze your account for "more information" about how you acquired those contacts.

Overall: Overall for a small business, Constant Contact is a good tool for email marketing and their customer service for the most part is decent...but for larger lists, I recommend going with an open-source option and utilizing your own server.

I use this to send emails, meetings, events, surveys, and newsletters to multiple mailing lists.

Pros: My favorite thing about the software is the tracking within it. I can see exactly when someone opened the email, how many times they opened the email, and what they clicked on (if there's any clickable links) in the email. Another nice feature is the fact that you can add images and save them and design your own templates and save them, too. It's nice that you can schedule emails to go out ahead of time, too.

Cons: Sometimes it's hard to navigate through things for the first time. You often have to click through and try things multiple times to get the hang of the software. It's not always as intuitive as it can be. Also, I find that the software and can sometimes move slow or bog down my computer.

Comments: Ask an event planner to help modify the registration segments of the site. There are a few small features that would make this software heads and shoulders above everyone else's on the market.

Pros: Having utilized a variety of registration / communication systems through the years this one is my preference. It allows me to communicate effectively, track who has and hasn't seen the information and provide a stable registration system for my events.

Cons: There are definitely some glitches in the registration process. I would like to see an option for registrants to be able to log-back in and add guests or adjust their own reservations. It's also a problem when we sell "Tables" for an event that there is no way for them to enter the attendee names at a later date.

Pros: It is so nice to have this! I am able to send mass emails out very easily. I can personalize it and change the format, color and add photos and links to videos, articles etc. I have had very good experiences while using customer service as well. They are a big help.

Cons: I wish there could be a few more format options as far as mass email/ newsletter formats go. Other than that it is all Pros.

Pros: What I like most about Constant Contact is the ability to preview and customize our event email messages. Being able to look at something as the customer will see it is important, and being able to edit content quickly is a big help!

Cons: Constant Contact is great, so there isn't really much I don't like about it. Although, I do wish it was a little cheaper to use some of their added features, but all in all it is worth the money.

Overall: We have used Constant Contact for years now and although our dept. has an additional program we are using that is similar to Constant Contact, I still come back to Constant Contact and use it more often. I find its layout and formatting easier to use and love the stock photos. I can usually find just what I need without difficulty.

Comments: I personally believe there are better options out there, but I used this platform for eight years and it's serviceable.

Pros: It's easy to use, very intuitive, a user can figure it out pretty quickly. It's affordable and other modules (like events management) can be connected with ease. When I first started using it in 2009, I thought it was great.

Cons: It's a little buggy--like you can't get it to do certain things and you're not sure why--and doesn't look as clean and professional as other email marketing services. When they finally focused on mobile friendly templates, all your previous templates (one of the best tings about it, reusing previous templates) were much harder to use, likely due to the change in technology.

Pros: We use this to remind clients that we are available to serve them and direct them to our online scheduling feature. Incredible easy to recycle previous week's emails, upload updated email address list and send. CAN-SPAM compliant opt-out feature lowers my paranoia and trackable results are mesmerizing to watch as they roll in.

Cons: Wish the price didn't scale up as the number of contacts did. At some point, it may price us out. Also wish there was a feature that allowed us to simply set a recurring email weekly.

Overall: Saved us hours each week over send BCC emails to all our contacts. Allows us to designate address for who gets responses, etc effectively increasing our internal delegation. Great program.

Comments: I've been very happy with the product and the support I've gotten from the Constant Contact team.

Pros: Very helpful resources and easy to use functions. Their free workshops are always very informative and help make connections with local consultants and advisers. Bringing in lists or gathering website signups is a breeze. Setting up and email blasts or campaigns is simple and they work great on all devices, from PCs to phones. Reporting is helpful and detailed.

Cons: As a small company its list limits are not a big deal, but I could see where they would be a problem for those with huge (100k+) email lists. The WordPress plugin has caused problems for me. I've had to disable it a couple of times. But right now it's working fine. Also the limit on the number of users means it can't be a true CRM for us since our sales team can't take advantage of its great tools.

Pros: I love how Constant Contact manages email lists. We receive lists from an ever-changing database and it is extremely helpful when Constant Contact finds duplicate entries when uploading a new list into a current list.

CC makes it easy to see who opened the email and who didn't. I like that emails can be resent only to those who have not opened the emails. I also like the one-click unsubscribe feature and how CC keeps track of it so email is not sent to those who have opted out.

Cons: Although you can set up the sender's email to look as if it is coming directly from an individual, it seems that emails often end up in the recipient's junk email. I am not certain if this can somehow be avoided.

I wish it was a bit more customizable. The templates are great for non-designers, but for those who have experience in design, the set design parameters can be somewhat frustrating.

Lastly, as an Administrator, I wish there was a way my "users" could access only "their" campaigns instead of "all" campaigns.
