Pros: I do independent contracting for a nonprofit and have been using Constant Constant for about 4 years now for the electronic newsletters to our supporters and network. I love that the software and the many different template options to use for mailings. I also like that I am able to change fonts, color, backgrounds and layout with ease. It is VERY user friendly and if I need to stop in the middle of my work it, will be saved where I left off. This is actually an update because in the past if you didn't save the work manually you could lose it, but they have updated that and it now autosaves (which I am very grateful for). Also, I love that I can schedule mailings and campaigns in advance for when I want them to go out (I currently have 5 pending to go out on designated days within the next 5 weeks). This save me a lot of time and not having to wait til the day of to log on and send them out.

What I REALLY like is that we can track analytics. we know what emails (and topics) people are more interested in versus ones they barely open. This helps us in choosing more engaging content. I know what percent of our contacts have opened the emails. I can create different groups to send certain thing to (like Board members, parents, LSC), I am even able to see the time and date (and by whom) an email was opened and if the donate button was clicked or not (which is good for best practices and implementing measures of accountability within the org).

Cons: I don't like that the only videos that I can embed into the mailings have to be a Youtube link. But other than that, there isn't much that I do not like about using this software.

Constant Contact is an easy-to-use email marketing tool - a little pricey but worth the expense!

Pros: As an email marketing solution, CC fits most small to medium business owners needs with plenty of easy to edit templates, branded emails, newsletters, calendars, event apps, and website integrations. Additionally, business owners can set up events and registrations via the app. The templates are easy to use with varied options and designs. For more experienced handlers, HTML is available to set up templates. Emails offer clients and recipients the opportunity to opt out or stay tuned while landing the emails in their in box rather than their spam filters . Analytics are a plus and helpful to see what works and what doesn't in an email campaign. CC also integrates social media platforms. Overall it is a great all-in-one marketing tool.

Cons: While the software is generally easy to use, it is not intuitive and does on occasion produce glitchy results from missing images to random changes in text, font, and email structure. I do like the tiered pricing structure, although find CC to be far more expensive than their competitors. One of my biggest complaints is the placement of images - it doesn't really allow flexibility in design - if you are ok with their more cookie cutter template designs then its a 5 star - but the ability to place images becomes tedious and reduces the functionality. Overall the program is a go and worth the expense even if the image placement issues are annoying.

Overall: Overall a great product, easy to use, and functional. its minor limitations are countered by functionality, reliability, and the features it offers. The price is sometimes a turnoff when compared to other marketing email providers. CC offers easy to use templates that are almost fully customizable. Lots of extra features including campaigns, events, registrations, sign up forms etc. There are plenty of HELP menu items and tutorials. Love that there is no limit on the number of emails sent monthly. Overall a great go to product!

Pros: I use CC to to manage our large contact database and to send out email updates. It is great for segmenting our list -- from general interest to communications to fundraising. The automated features are great, especially that it will not allow the same email to appear in the same inbox twice. It also merges duplicate contacts. We use it across the entire organization. Constant contact is great for merging duplicate contacts, updating your address book, giving a reliable open rate and thorough reports, and allowing you to segment large email lists.

Cons: When uploading additional contacts, CC wants to see how they actively subscribed. This can be problematic when uploading an older email list (i.e. you may just have a spreadsheet of The List and they want to see more evidence). Additionally, it is a little pricey compared to competitors such as MailChimp. It would be great to be able to export email campaigns as HTML.Be extremely careful when importing contacts. Constant Contact wants to see how they actively subscribed. Sometimes it is hard to prove this when you have entered information for people you have an established relationship with, or if they verbally requested to be added. Constant Contact wants to actually see the (paper) sign-up sheet. This is unachievable for businesses/groups that have been around long enough to have established an email list based on personal relationships or when importing business cards. As for the design, sizing images can be difficult when you are using a self-designed template. As for the contact management services, representatives have very little technical knowledge and don't seem to understand marketing techniques used within certain industries.

Overall: The email analytics and reports are great.

Pros: Love the ease of use - whether you want to send a quick email using a premade template, or customize every part of your message, Constant Contact gives you the tools. It's easy to find what you need, and you don't need to know anything about pixel size or the HTML color codes to create professional emails.

Constant Contact just introduced A/B testing, so you can better gauge the headings and send times that get your audience to open the emails.

Constant Contact is a very solid platform - I've yet to see any service outages, or experience any features that feel buggy, unstable, or like they're still in beta testing. If you have access to a feature on Constant Contact, you know that it will work.

Cons: It's difficult to manage old campaigns. Want to see what your message was last time, what template you used, or how long ago you sent an email to a particular group? Good luck - you'll be scrolling through pages of old campaigns by hand.

At this time, you can't run reports to compare the percentage of opens/click-throughs per recipient group, or to compare how various keywords or send-times compare. To really analyze your marketing approach, you'll have to extract this data by hand.

Some of the updates (i.e. A/B testing, custom template options) have been available to users of free competitor services for years. It would be nice to see Constant Contact take a more proactive approach to innovation and updates.

Overall: Constant Contact is the standard for email marketing, and you can see why! It allows you to quickly upload your email contacts and create professional email marketing. We've been able to see how many people open each of our email campaigns, and which campaigns are most successful, making future marketing more targeted.

Pros: Constant Contact makes it really easy to make attractive, functional emails and to conduct email campaigns with sequencing. Building emails is done via a drag-and-drop interface (WYSIWYG), so you don't have to have any coding experience with html or css. It's really easy to schedule your campaigns, too. If you can use Outlook and Word, you should be able to get comfortable with Constant Contact pretty quickly. It's also really easy to build and manage contact lists, including importing from csv files. And Constant Contact does a good job of tracking bad email addresses and removing them from your lists, which is important because you are charged by the number of contacts you have. I also like that you can send yourself previews so you can try the messages out on different mail programs and tweak them to your liking. Once you've sent out the messages, Constant Contact offers reporting to let you know how successful your campaign was, including the click-through rate. It also sends you reports about who is being added to and removed from your contact lists. Its integration with several WordPress form plugins means it's easy to convert web traffic to email marketing recipients.

Cons: Permissions. There are basically two levels of permissions besides the account owner: campaign creator and account manager. It would be nice to have more granular control over what users can do, because account manager gives users a lot of freedom, but is necessary to work with contacts, schedule a send, etc. The other thing I don't like is how quickly the cost ramps up. Having used Emma and MailChimp, I feel like Constant Contact is the most robust platform. But it is expensive.

Overall: Converting web site visitors to email marketing recipients has never been easier, as site visitors simply select which programs they are interested in and they are automatically added to the appropriate contact lists in Constant Contact. Constant Contact has made it painless to conduct email marketing campaigns that circumvent spam filters, something that Emma and MailChimp struggled with.

Pros: Constant Contact is very user-friendly. With little to no training, users can easily create professional-looking emails. There are many templates to choose from and they, again, look very professional. It is perfect for businesses without designers on staff. Another major advantage is the pricing...it is SUPER reasonably priced.

Cons: A couple of issues...first, while I understand the need to manage contacts and spam issues, they can be unreasonable with blocking you from sending emails. People unsubscribe and claim you are junk mail even when you aren't...there's nothing you can do about it, yet you still get dinged for it. Second, you are limited in how much info you can see about users. We switched to another program that provides a lot more visibility into what users do, including linking to web pages visited. This isn't a fault of Constant Contact, it's just not a service they offer. Finally, be aware that there are a lot of challenges if you are sending to a lot of users with Outlook. I know that Outlook is difficult to work with, but many if not most business users use Outlook, so templates and emails have to display well there. It's a challenge with our new software as well...I don't know if anyone has really cracked the Outlook solution yet.

Overall: Constant Contact was a great tool for us while we were getting started with our email program. It's reasonably priced and easy to use and makes users look very professional. We just outgrew it and needed more in-depth marketing information so we've moved on.

Pros: The feature that is most useful in my current job situation is the technology this program has to track opens and clicks for basic to intricate emails that are sent out to customers. This helps us to determine our most interested and time worthy customers/prospects for different products.

Another thing is that you can import/export large amounts of data whenever you need it, and they have the tools all over the website that can help you every step of the way how to get the most out of the email campaigns. Continuous updates and features are added to the website monthly, with an article explaining all about it pops up in your notifications.

Cons: Sometimes if there is too much data/campaigns integrated into the website it can slow simple tasks down by large degree. Also there are many late night website touch ups they need to do to make the program better - but also annoys us night owls that like to get projects done late at night.

Overall: Sending emails out on a daily basis and extracting that data keeps my boss happy and healthy. We are always checking out their new features that might help us even more on our marketing trails. For what you get, you are not paying too much which is cost effective!

Pros: It is very simple to use! The navigation is simple :) It really couldn't be any easier for a first-time user to figure out. A kid could definitely use it without any guidance (provided that they can read). I really enjoy using it, so that's a plus. I also love that you can view how many emails were opened , even who opened them and what they clicked on! As a marketing person, that's the greatest gift ever. Real data you can see, use and understand. Sadly, not all marketing products offer that. But Constant Contact does! And they do it well.

Cons: Most of the templates end up looking sort of outdated. I describe it as "an early 2000s vibe." They could really use a face-lift to make them more attractive. That's honestly the only thing I don't like about it. Everything else is super great! Wish they'd adapted a more Mailchimp-esque look for all of their products. I think they would crush the competition if they changed up the look a bit.

Pros: The email design features are awesome, and adding pictures is pretty easy. You can build your own library of photos to use. Designing and changing email templates is quite straightforward, and fully customizable with colours, fonts and 'blocks' of type such as main feature, coupon, etc. I have only used customer support twice and they were cheerful and helpful. Almost every email brings one or more bookings so I feel using this service is worth the price. It's also easy to manage your email lists and CC helps guard against repeated bounces by sort of quarantining those email addresses to protect you from a poor sender reputation, which is important with ever-tightening SPAM regulations. There are upgrades available, should you want to send out forms or questionnaires to your list too.

Cons: It is an expense for a small business, and the bigger your list the more it costs. Every once in a while the formatting goofs up and can be frustrating, and copy/paste formatting is sometimes a bit challenging. But the folks at CC work at that all the time and it's improved greatly over the years.

Overall: Constant Contact allows me to easily send professional emails to my clients and readers without worrying about leaking their data out or delivering viruses to their inboxes.

Pros: The user interface is designed in was that is easy to understand and use for the non-tech savvy to the intermediate marketer with a modern, clean and functional experience which made it most appealing due to the fact that first impression means everything and this gave us the confidence that not only is Constant Contact setting the industry standard, but they're built in templates must look just as great which will allow our company to give the right impression which we were searching for.

Cons: Email lists have very little control options and feel it should have the capability to scan email lists and clean or remove no-longer working email addresses, however it does not. Due to a bad email in our list, our account was once suspended costing us thousands of dollars in lost business while we were unable to send out our scheduled weekend email campaigns. We ended up having to speak with a representative over the phone, all to be scolded on a few bad emails in our list. I feel their fail/bounce/bad email percentage scale needs to be recalculated because it is very easy to have your account come to a stop due to just a couple emails that are no longer valid.

Overall: The customer service is pretty good and they are very reliable. Despite a few issues and missing features, I say it's a great way to learn and advance new skills in email marketing due to it's great user integrate

e and easy to use system with beautifully designed templates to choose from which will help give your company or product the right image easily with a few clicks of the mouse. It's very easy to get an email campaign up in minutes time which saves a significant amount of time and money otherwise wasted with a non functional email marketing platform.

Pros: The automation of this software is beyond intuitive it's closer to artificial intelligence than anything. Providing crucial analytical data back to myself and my team we could reconfigure our approach to different demographics which ultimately LED in huge surges and increases in business.

Cons: For some reason with most of these automated mail programs the same issues tended to plague them. The double opt out feature is what I'm really talking about which is also known as the unsubscriber list. Often clunky and the only part of the whole package that wasn't intuitive as it required individual attention which raised costs in man hours. That was easily negated by the large number of business it brought in due to its strong analytics though. This is a important tool for a smaller business looking to take the next step.

Overall: With this software I didn't run into the normal problems of implementing changes in the physical appearance of the content of my mailer and it seemed to not get caught up in spam filters like other programs that offer the same thing this company offers it and actually follows through with it. I would recommend this.

Pros: Contant Contact makes it easy for us to send a quick e-mail out to our members. They have everything set up for you, so that you can upload a document, image, and/or video. I love that they give you the option to change the background colors and schedule days and times for the e-mails to be sent out. I love how reliable this software is when it comes to importing contacts and making sure our clients receive the emails on time, I love the statistics it provides us. That has definitely helped our organization improve. Constant Contact is the way to go!

Cons: The new update is a little more time consuming. I have been using Constant Contact for 2 years and getting used to the new update has been a bit frustrating. I also wish there were more templates for the buttons. Such as "click here for more", "register here" and etc. I think that would be a great addition.

Pros: Great tool for a small business or organization to communicate with supporters and customers. Very easy to manage contacts and lists. Countless email templates provided, plus it is easy to create your own templates.

Out of the box reporting on opens, click-thrus, opt-outs, and more are highly intuitive.

Cons: Tool does not offer marketing automation functionality, as in -- if an email is opened, but the desired action is not taken, automatically send a follow-up email in two days or if the email is not opened, automatically send a follow-up email with a different subject line and different customized content in a week.

Overall: Constant Contact allows us to easily manage our email contacts and lists. It has saved us time by providing email templates that we can customize to our brand.

The reporting the tool provides also gives us the intelligence we need to see if our list is growing or shrinking.

Pros: Constant Contact offers marketing tools via email for both users and administration. Constant Contact supplies users and administrators customization of emails. Constant Contact provides various options such as reporting, registering, campaigning, and customer feedback. Constant Contact has integration of software applications such as Word Press, Formstack, Facebook, MindBody, Outlook, HootSuite, and Salesforce. Constant Contact offers email marketing templates.

Cons: Plans of services not provided on the Constant Contact site. Variations of information may not appear as clearly in the mobile application as oppose to the windows application. Within the editor tool, inserting inline images may not appear depending on the file type. As an administrator or user, attempting to cancel services may not transpire as quickly but the Constant Contact team is working towards a resolution. Pros: What I like most about Constant Contact (CC) is the ability to import and export contact lists so I can save and re-use particular lists as needed. I often have to run update reports to add newer applicants (or new "interested" leads) and/or change the message text to target a specific audience and then send it to those who need to be contacted; not having to create a brand new list or try and merge two different files is so helpful. Being able to preview email messages when you need to tweak something is a real time saver too! And I love the "reminders" feature so I know when it's time to reconnect with certain interested contacts.

Cons: Honestly there isn't much I don't like about CC...? Oh, right now it will not seamlessly import into the CSM tool our front desk team is using (they end up having to do a little work-around), but that will soon be fixed as they are switching another program that easily works with CC.

Overall: I've used CC to create and track event and orientation registrations, send out email blasts, reminders, and/or updated messages and flyers. I've also used CC to gather new and old leads, create and maintain lists of interested applicants, as well as track applicants who move to admitted students. It is also a great tool for marketing new programs and gathering and testing different message and design styles to see which ones gather more interest. I especially use it to email large groups without being blocked as a spammer. I really don't spam targeted leads, but with some email providers all it takes is like 5 users with the same @.... address and you can get blocked, so being able to use CC for larger emails is a big plus!

Pros: It is easy to use and provides templates to make your emails easy to create and have built in mobile design. There is help with expanded hours that will assist you with creating emails, list management and any other issue you have. I consider this a major plus because there can always be questions and with support, saves you time.

The reporting features are outstanding. You can see who is opening what and what links they are clicking on, to name just a few reporting features. Also, you can now personalize subject line and add emojis. New features are always being added.

Cons: More templates are always being added, but could use a few more for holidays.

Overall: Excellent product that integrates well with overall marketing workflow. The support is prompt and it is solid technically.

Pros: I used ConstantContact for more than just e-mail; I used it for events management and online surveys as well. So the fact that it was kind of an all-in-one tool for us was very beneficial versus having to swap between a different program for CRM, for event management, for reviews, and email updates. The platform was easy to use and you could get things set up in a matter of minutes. It also had great analytics and tracking reports.

Cons: The customer service was pretty dreadful. While they tout "customizable" templates, they are extremely restrictive in what you CAN do. Essentially you can piddle around with some basic HTML and change colors, otherwise, you're pretty stuck with the templates they provide you. The price is also high for what is offered.

Comments: For the price, this program provides an excellent tool for organizations that focus on email marketing campaigns. If your needs are focused around email marketing, this is certainly the program to consider.

Pros: This software worked well for our email campaigns, but it lacked some features that were specific to the growing needs of our organization. We definitely would have stayed with this software if it would have met all the needs of our organization as we grew in size and function. The templates were easy to customize, and the emails always looked very professional. I also liked how the emails were tied into the registration page and the final reports.

Cons: This is not an easy program to learn how to use. It's easy to make mistakes, especially when learning the program. Thank goodness for the excellent tech support provided. Their skilled and friendly tech support makes up for the difficulty learning the software. Their tech support is the main reason I would encourage others to consider using this software because of the steep learning curve. They fixed many problems for me, and they were always eager to help!

Pros: Great customer service. Whenever we encountered problems with data uploads/downloads or other situations, the phone support was quick to answer and very knowledgeable. Inexpensive for the quality of email platform. Great for small businesses.

Cons: Not catered towards mid to large organizations selling multiple products and services. Unable to created multiple lists for product or services with the option for recipients to unsubscribe from just the one list (unsubscribes from all).

Overall: Overall the Constant Contact tools are easy to use and very professional. We are a mid-sized financial institution that sends around 14 to 28 thousand emails per week. When I came into my role we had been using Constant Contact for a number of years. However, I felt that we had outgrown its capabilities. The platform is primarily for small businesses and some of the features were lacking for what we needed. Specifically, the ability to create separate subscription lists. That said, the customer service is amazing and if you live/work in the Boston area then there are always training seminars going on.

Recommendations to other buyers: As a financial institution, it is worth paying more for an email marketing platform that integrates with your core or at least that is customized for the industry.

Pros: I recently took over the mailing and marketing for our company. Pretty much had a crash course from previous person in charge of it. Found it pretty easy to use once I figured it out. The templates have saved my life for 'on the fly' mailings. Pretty easy to go in and customize the template already close to what you want but want to add your person company or touch to it. I really appreciate the effort that goes into the templates. Also, found that the mailings go out when they say they are going to go out - a real nice feature!

Cons: Understanding and navigation buttons can sometimes send you into a tizzy . . they need to work on some flexibility to size when adding a picture or custom logo. Usually have found work around but not a lot of room for error. Also . . the preview is not really a preview. The email can sometimes actually look a little off . . not bad but a small error now and then can be frustrating.

Overall: I said in my PROS for the software. A good value and love the templates in a pinch. They can really get you out of bind if sales or marketing suddenly decides a need for a mailing in an hour. Saved me many times. I do like the overall format and the timeliness of the mailings when you set up your mailings to go out in the advance . . great job!

Pros: Constant Contact provides a user-friendly interface that allows users to create visually-friendly e-blasts. The address book setup is relatively straightforward, and the creation of templates that can be "cloned" for messages is effortless. I appreciate the flexibility and incorporation of mobile-friendly newsletters. The scheduling feature has saved significant time within our organization. I've also found the statistics to be very interesting and helpful in choosing content for our messages.

Cons: There is no editing tool for mobile devices (iPad, iPhone, etc.). The newsletters need to be edited within a web browser. This prevents quick messages from being created on-the-fly.

Pros: I have used this software program for years in my real estate business. This is a great way to stay in front of your clients and potential clients. I can schedule this software to contact clients as little or as often as I like. I love the customizable newsletters and mailers to keep things interesting and fun.

Cons: I would like to be able to integrate other programs to cooperate with this software, sending my clients updated listings, things like that. Otherwise, this is a powerful marketing tool and one of the best products for the money out there.

Overall: I have had great success with Constant Contact over the years. This tool will make you money to pay for the cost and your clients will appreciate the consistency in your business.

Pros: Constant Contact does a great job of managing multiple groups/list and lots of contacts. I've worked with clients who have a large customer base and Constant Contact allows managing large amounts of group/lists and allows you to manual remove unsubscribers and errors. They are rolling out a new version of their email builder, but the older version does allow custom css coding per block which really allows customizing their templates.

Cons: There are a lot of quirks within Constant Contact that I haven't seen in Mailchimp, specifically with using external links for photos and links. The actual editing of text and links within the email builder is quirky and has some issues. Also, the new search feature for previous emails is really slow and takes a long time to find previous emails unless you create folders for all your emails.

Recommendations to other buyers: Give it a try along with Mailchimp and see which one you find better useful for your business. I've used Constant Contact for 5+ years and have a lot of experience with it, but its starting to show its age in many ways. Hopefully the newer version will bring it up to par with Mailchimp in the line of creating emails and removing some of the quirks.

Comments: There's a little something for everyone here, and not just for email marketing. You can use their templates, design your own, or use their social media integration to tie your marketing into your Facebook or Twitter profiles.

Pros: I love that I can take a flyer from my art department and import a PDF of it directly into Constant Contact. This is a recently added feature and makes my job much easier. I can send the flyer out to our mailing lists, and print the same document for my sales reps to hand out to their customers. This enables us to design 1 flyer rather than 2. If you're the type to build your email campaigns from scratch then they have you covered there with a great content layout system that is flexible and easy to use. If you're one of those really fancy people who likes to get all nerdy and mess with CSS then you can do that, too.

Cons: There's not much to dislike honestly. I suppose I'd like it to be easier to find old email campaigns and resend them to new lists or contacts, but that's about it.

Pros: Constant Contact is really easy to use - it's features of templates, integrations and customizability for automation and sequences is a real boom for businesses to maintain customer contact - to stay on top of mind and influence their behaviour - while not taking too much time doing it - is awesome. The list management features of tags help you slice & dice your lists to ensure that they are catered to with great customized message.

Cons: It can get really expensive for very large lists, especially when compared to various newer alternatives. The editor can at times be frustrating as you cant fix a small niggle like a space between elements and the test email looks different from the actual broadcast email. List management features like a dashboard with data & analysis of the list of the number of people who are frequent viewers, frequent clicks, non-openers, etc are really useful to take a look at what is happening to the list & its health.

Overall: Email marketing tool for top of mind & conversion.

Pros: Once your templates are created it makes it easier. You can send to lots of people at one time - making 10,000 emails to go out super simple. In addition, they can remove themselves and CC doesn't send again without their permission. We love seeing who viewed, clicked through the email or even forwarded it on!

Cons: You can't attach a name to several emails - this is an inconvenience. I feel as though there are random glitches quite often and that can be time-consuming.

Overall: We use Constant Contact on a regular basis. Once we had created several templates, it's simple creating an email! We also utilize design programs like Canva to increase our creativity.

Recommendations to other buyers: Utilize customer support! They are awesome!

Pros: The drag and drop format for building an email template is perfect for non-web design/developers. No HTML needed here. Also you are able to resize photos just by dragging the corner. I like how simple it is to design an email and see just how it looks as you go. New social media management - I haven't tried it yet but I'm excited about this great feature!

Cons: Limited (or only one choice) of how the sign up form looks and what options are included on sign-up. Unable to create custom triggers. Need more options on how to view data received by surveys, and how those surveys are linked back to contacts.

Overall: I was able to cheaply design a custom program for a website that tracked client progress, sent weekly accountability reminders and instructions. One person doing the work of 3? Constant Contact was able to make that happen.

Mostly great. Easy to access and send out quickly. Been using it for years and years.

Pros: I love that I can set a template and just keep going back to it over and over and just make the changes I need to make.

The send time it relatively short so I am able to get a message to my customers pretty quickly.

I use Constant Contact several times a week.

Adding in new emails is quick and easy too!

Cons: There is no way to set an email to send as a recurring email. So every month I have to re-create my Monday/Tuesday eblasts separately, one for each Monday and Tuesday, sometimes up to 10 separate emails. While I don't have to re-do the actual emails I have to copy them and schedule them separately. Long, pain in the back process.

I have trouble with spacing sometimes. As in, I set the spacing between words, then hit enter and it changes. No way to get it to stay where I want it.

Not a lot of cool fonts to work with but it is possible to create a document in Word using cool fonts and then copy and paste that in.

Overall: Answered in my review.

Pros: Simple to use. It was almost a "drag and drop" type of format with a little more flexibility. We used the email, events, and polls/surveys features.

Cons: I used it at a previous company, so I'm not sure if this is still an issue or not: I had a heck of a time with trying to use any sort of HTML formatting.

Another issue I had was that the email send outs were very sporadic. I wouldn't always get notifications I should've.

Purely a cosmetic complaint, but the Event pages don't look modern/are kind of clunky looking.

Overall: Everything was in one place for our event management and communications regarding the event.

Pros: I love the fact that Constant Contact is so easy to use. You can build and design an email that can easily be sent out to your whole database or just a selection of unique people from your database. We have built emails about fundraisers, important information, upcoming events and more. It is easy to create and I like that they have options to change colors and designs. I especially like the fact that responses can come directly to my email. As well as people can easily unsubscribe if our emails are not being well received. I also like that I can send a test out to see what it will look like.

Cons: Our package with Constant Contact is limited to two users. This makes it difficult for multiple people to check it out. Other than that, this is a great software and very easy to use.

Overall: I like to be able to customize and easily send mass emails to our database. This is a great and easy to use software that does just that!

Pros: It's very easy to create professional looking e-mails, schedule them, test a few before sending. it's all rather easy. The editor places everything in exact areas and keeps everything in-line for mobile viewing and it's difficult to complain about the length of their free trial. fantastic to get to try something that long

Cons: It's very easy to create the exact same looking e-mails with different themes, there's a total lack of real customization in their editor, and the prices skyrocket almost immediately. and customer service abandons you the second they have your money. i was talked into subscribing when i had been awake working for 3 days straight. at no point did the saleswoman have human decency to say "you seem really tired, is there a better time to call?". She was rather insistent that i make the purchase immediately and i was so tired i just said okay to get her off the phone. then i went to use it, and i just disliked the experience overall. finding that there are many other options which offer 10-15 times the e-mail limits, better open ratios, far better editors and templates, and all for less than half the price.... when i asked for a refund and to close constant contact account within a day of being charged, i've been ignored.i just want my contacts out of there and a refund, seeing as i have not sent one single e-mail blast yet. i highly doubt i will get any response, and i will not be giving in to pushy salespeople again who take advantage of people half asleep to the point of hallucinating. it's not good software, it's just integrated a lot of places. don't be fooled. google the alternatives.

Pros: Relatively easy to use for basic functionality. I can easily set up multiple email lists and create email campaigns. To their credit, Constant Contact has improved the layout and library tools over the years (I've been using the product for almost 10 years). However, the contact management tools are lacking (see below).

Cons: Two key drawbacks. First, they keep raising the price without adding any real additional value. Yes, the layout and library tools have improved. But really those improvements should be to keep up with technology and competition. Also, storage is always getting cheaper. So why the price increases? Worse, they experimented with ads to users a few times. Second, they lack good tools to manage your contact database to minimize your total contacts and save money. You pay by how many total contacts you have. Unfortunately, CC makes it difficult to cull the contacts who have not been opening your emails. Why is there no simple tool "Show me anyone who has not opening my emails during the last year?" Instead, I have to tediously cull my contact list by hand, or download misc. lists into Excel. I don't know if the competitor (Mail Chimp) is better, but I'm getting very tempted to check...

Overall: Easy to create and manage basic email lists and campaigns.

Pros: Easy to use, easy to learn. The best feature in the basic subscription is the campaign creation tool. It's not as easy to use as Power Point or Publisher or even Word but it does the job.

Cons: Campaigns do not translate well to print projects. We send a weekly newsletter by email with CC, but we still have some folks who don't have email or internet of any kind or even a smart phone. We would like to print a copy of the CC e-newsletter and mail it to these folks, but haven't found a way that looks good or is easy to do.

Overall: We use it weekly for e-newsletters and have been satisfied with the process. We are a smal organization with under 100 recipients. We have the basic subscription due to price. When we demonstrated the product during our free trial, we had access to all the premium features which are very good but we can't afford the cost to upgrade. We still have issues with getting the newsletter to people who don't have email. I text the link to some but there are others who don't have smart phones or internet. Printing does not work well at all. It takes a very long time to get the formatting to look good and to fit it on the page correctly. I don't bother with it now and those folks get left out.

Pros: You can easily create templates and edit them. The interface is easy to use and doesn't require much expertise to familiarize with the same. Integration with CRM applications like sales force. You can check out the Feedbacks of your campaigns. Provides analytics where you can check out the page visits, bounce rates, and exit rates. Upload images and you can work across the different email service providers. Navigation is easy. You can personalize emails.

Cons: More upgrades required in tracking metrics. Social media sharing is complicated. Using templates of the application is in fact very tedious and require a lot more variety of templates. Coding errors encountered. The customer service and support team are not very responsive. The graphics look too much outdated as compared to the current trends. Some of the new updates are quite time-consuming.

Pros: For the newer templates, it's simpler and easier to edit using visual editor (not custom HTML coding). Also they updated to where we can now upload more than 5 images for free. Good contact list management with tags.

Cons: I'm not sure about the latest templates, but the ones I've worked on are responsive, which I'm surprise to see how behind Constant Contact is to other competitors.

My biggest issue is their templates are very restricted. I have no way of adding @media queries into CSS. Some codes get ignored or deleted, and there are so many issues with bugs in coding in Constant Contact that haven't resolved for YEARS. Others are complaining in online forum, but those issues aren't taken care of. For example, bullets get converted to asterisk.

Their templates before my edits came back with bugs and issues of display in Outlook. Had to contact customer service. The person was nice enough to work on coding with me, but I have lost so much time. The issues were solved, but then the other part that was working fine wasn't the same with the new fix.

Also, I have noticed that they updates systems/functionalities occasionally. This has caused breaking my existing templates which I spent days fixing bugs so it displays over most of email clients.

Cons: Event Spot was changed, making it harder to find your events from a list.

Overall: I've been using Constant Contact for multiple organizations for about 10 years. For email marketing with additional features (e.g. surveys) I believe it's the gold standard. The contact management is very easy to learn and navigate. There are many templates for emails, and many customizable features.

EventSpot is not quite as friendly, especially for users with a large number of events. There are many good features, although some vary slightly from the pure email marketing functionality and the new way they list events needs changes.

Pros: Easy to use and setup, even for a novice (which I was when I started). Started with zero subscribers, and now have nearly 8K. They are the only provider I've ever used.

Cons: If I had to pick one thing if was the fact that I could only store some many images for the base fee that I was paying (I think it was five). That was a minor issue for me though, as I made it work with what I had.

Overall: It took a complicated task and dumbed it down enough so that even I could use it. I'm a content creator, not a tech person, so I want to focus on my writing and not the tech side of running a online business.

Pros: This is so simple to use. I hadn't used this software before and came into a new job and was able to easily navigate and make beautifully designed notifications for our communication needs. The capabilities and pre-made template styles make it easy to keep designs looking consistent, but yet it's not so hard to change the format for a special campaign. We use this weekly to notify our subscribers and to keep them informed on what's going on in a very professional format. I really like that I have the ability to copy previous campaigns and simply revamp with new info, or I can design something completely new. Scheduling is a breeze and provides super reliable delivery to whatever email list I choose..

Cons: I would like to see many more fonts and layouts, just to change things up a bit. So with that said, maybe the program is a bit limited in that way, but still offers plenty of styles and fonts to keep things fresh!

Overall: Loving this! It makes my job so easy and keeps subscribers happy with updated info delivered on time.

Pros: This is one of the best systems to create email marketing campaigns, it is very easy to use compared to other similar systems and contains features and functionalities that facilitate the development of email marketing strategies.

There are many predesigned designs that we can choose to create our campaigns to provide an attractive and professional visual effect, we can also create our own designs easily, we simply drag and drop the items we need.

We can segment our contact lists in a very simple way, it also allows us to incorporate forms on our websites to add subscribers.

We can make an analysis of our campaigns and improve results since the system allows us to carry statistics of the shipments that we do.

Cons: What I do not like very much about constant is its price, I think it is a bit expensive and its support management system is not so good, but in general it is a great system.

Overall: It has helped me a lot to increase sales and get new clients, I think that this system is very efficient if we use it properly.

Pros: I've been using constant contact daily for the last 3 years. Overall, it is what you want out of a email marketing system. The automation functionalities are fine, and the templates that you can choose form are pretty vast. It's an easy to learn platform that gets the job done.

Cons: I often run into an issue where my template and my test emails look different. Sometimes there is a space that cannot be fixed, or a gap that I can't delete. It can be very frustrating when you want something to look a certain way.

Pros: Creating top of mind awareness is a challenge for every business, but more so a small or start-up business. Constant Contact provides world class delivery and a complete package of diverse and badly needed marketing tools. Perhaps the most powerful is the ability to automate email marketing, something previously left to marketing departments in large organizations. Now a small business can sustain their marketing to a target audience over time with no day to day maintenance. It's also easy to share your content across the most popular social networking platforms.

Cons: While you can automatically share email distributions across Facebook and Twitter, the appearance of the post is rather primitive. So pay attention to the post title (it can be modified to capture attention) and the image used.

Recommendations to other buyers: Don't let cost drive your decision. While there are several competing email marketing providers that promise the same performance at lower cost (or possibly even free), they don't necessarily provide the same level of delivery (meaning your email consistently gets delivered to the intended recipient). With so much SPAM being sent, high delivery is crucial to success. Low-cost/no-cost providers may not offer all of the same set of tools either. Event planning, social advertising, auto-responders, access to images, website and social network subscriber features are all integrated into Constant Contact. And with their Toolkit subscription, everything you need is provided, including terrific training. There's no need to up-sell you later.

Pros: I really like the various templates I can choose from. No matter what "theme" I need, I can always find one that fits. The great thing is it is fully customizable, even the pre-formatted templates. I also appreciate the feedback I get. I like seeing who opened the e-mail's and who unsubscribed. It allows me to learn and create better e-mail content. It is so easy to use, even people with limited computer skills can create great content.

Cons: The price is high and based on how many subscribers I get, which means the more popular I get the more I pay. This means that when I do events and add a lot of people to my list I end up having to pay more, even if those people never open my e-mails or unsubscribe. It also does not offer e-mail automation, I have to use another system to do that which is a hassle and time consuming.

Pros: Constant Contact is one of the best email marketing platforms because it offers a variety of built-in templates. It even indicates which templates will display correctly on mobile devices. The templates are easy to customize in Constant Contacts editor. Creating, uploading, and managing contact lists is also very simple. The contact manager allows you to assign tags to contacts to track how they signed up for your email list, how long they have been a subscriber, etc.

Cons: If you are looking for an email marketing platform that offers marketing automation, pass on constant contact. It does offer a basic automation for the first few interactions with customers but, does not allow you to adjust your marketing to your customer's specific actions.

Cons: - They are a bit more pricey than other similar services. They are like the Verizon Wireless of online emails; they do tend to perform the best but at a higher price tag

- Their template designs have been a bit dated and do not look as nice as some of the other systems out there

Overall: I have been recommending and getting my clients to look at Constant Contact for years now. They are a reliable company in the email marketing arena and they offer solid performance and support, albeit at a slightly higher price tag. I will say though, you do get what you pay for, and all of my clients that have used them really like them. I have had several switch to other services, but it has always been due to price not performance.

Constant Contact is among the best email marketing services available. But it still has its flaws.

Comments: Overall, a good service that is above the rest of the email marketing software that is available.

Pros: Constant Contact is easy to use and intuitive. You are able to create beautiful emails with ease, as well as customize email templates to suite your marketing needs.

Cons: Constant Contact is often glitchy. While you are in the email editor, it will sometimes revert back to a previously saved version. It is also often difficult to format your emails the way you would like them i.e. picture placement, text wrapping, etc.

Pros: This software was a great way to reach out clients regarding up coming workshops. We also used them to send Birthday Cards to our clients. Great software.

Cons: I cannot think of one con about this software. I will say the only reason we are no longer using them is that our IMO created their own software and we like the fact that we can do just about everything we need with our IMO. Love having everything with one Vendor.

Overall: Great software for sending to multiple clients and prospects at one time.

Pros: I love how easy it is to design and customize client-facing communication with Constant Contact. There are so many varieties of templates or I can create a custom template with my own fonts, colors, backgrounds, etc. In addition, it's also really great at telling me what is engaging and what is not - CC tells you which messages were opened, by whom and when. It's easy to see what type of communication generates more organic growth than others. Lastly, it integrates well with social media, which is a huge component of my business. Couldn't be happier.

Cons: I wish that there was an option for more targeted communication/analytics. For example, if I noticed that Group A is more likely to interact with content with a certain type of content, then I can have the option to select for the next communication to go to that group versus a select all users in the list.

Overall: Overall, no major complaints. Super easy to use with lots of options for customization. Best bang for the buck.

Pros: I've been using Constant Contact for almost 10 years. We had a modest mail list when we started with CC, but we slowly converted many of those customers as email popularity grew. Constant Contact made the transition easy, and continues to make other updates to marketing trends painless as well. I especially like the seamless incorporation of posting to social media. Saves a lot of time, and allows you to run very cohesive campaigns.

Cons: I just always swallowed and paid the bill for the service. Maybe with the new rollout of more an a la carte service the price will flatten out? I also had issues with sizing and placement images from time to time, but nothing I couldn't work around.

Recommendations to other buyers: Don't be afraid to try all the bells and whistles; they're there for you to look more professional and most things work very well in Constant Contact. Also, TAKE THEIR CLASSES! You learn so much from other customers' issues and trials.

Pros: Very easy to create, send and keep track of mass emails. I like how we can get a new list with every email of who opened it, clicked a link, unsubscribed etc. really helped us weed out regulars vs. those not involved based on how actively involved they were with our newsletters. Also helped us get a better list of active emails vs. old emails with their reports on bounces, marked as spam, unsubscribes etc.

Cons: So far, I have not had any issues. The emails are send in a timely fashion, they look good with the templates we picked and we are having more people every week click on our links which is helping us see what is useful in our newsletter vs. what can be taken off since no interest has been shown.

Overall: Sending out weekly emails with current lists that Constant Contact will update based on our previous sent list.

Pros: I loved the idea that I could have 60 days to start growing my list and my business. Technology has changed so much that I need to learn how to make things work and because I work a full-time job, I don't have a lot of time to figure it all out.

This service allows for growth with tiered plans based on your subscriber count and other features like pop-up boxes for subscriptions, autoresponders, and customer tracking.

Cons: You can't do anything with the trial. I contacted support and asked them why I didn't get the test email I sent out and he says oh, you can't use any of those features unless you pay. He says "we have to make money." Now I get that, and if the fact that these features weren't available was clear during the signup process that would be fine, but here's the thing. I had already added it to my WordPress and had two people sign-up. I told him that I'd never heard of such a thing. Then his response was, well "we have millions of people going through the same trial."

Customer service is so important and this is where they failed. My recommendation is to make it clear what the trial is.

Overall: I used Constant Contact years ago before technology made things so much more complicated and I loved the service. That was the main reason I came back when I was ready to grow my list, but after this customer service fail, I can't see myself returning.

Pros: Constant Contact is great as far as building contacts and creating and scheduling newsletters. Provides great analytics with open rates and click data. Can easily design a sharp newsletter and can link the newsletters to websites and social media, which is a huge plus.

Pros: I like being able to send lots of emails to our email lists. It is extremely helpful to have a method for sending emails to targeted groups of folks on our mailing lists. It's great to be able to customize lists of our followers and send them useful information.

Cons: The actually creation of the email can have some funky formatting stuff happen that can be a pain sometimes. The text formatting will sometimes not let you change it when you send a test email for a coworker to review, the style of the font will sometimes revert to something that you didn't want. I also find that I have to create a whole new pdf outside of Constant Contact in order to format pictures that I want to put in the email. You can't really freely place photos, so I normally create the photo spread I want and then upload that.

Overall: We are able to inform specific groups of people important information. We can reach large audiences or small audiences. Constant Contact makes it pretty easy to format attractive looking emails.

Pros: Very easy to use. Intuitive user interface. Many templates to help make the perfect email for any type of business. Lots of data available to measure open rates, click-throughs, etc.

Pros: The features and the ability to amend templates simply. The database management is excellent and the reporting helps to know what people will respond to. WE use the event function for all our events and has the features we need.

Cons: The events checkin app isn't great as the only info it gives you is name. I would prefer to be able to see more info and to sort it alphabetically.

Pros: This software is invaluable if you have a database of clients that you want to send email blasts, invitations, updates, coupons, flyers, etc. It is relatively easy to use, comes with templates that are attractive and functional, and you are able to sort the emails you collect in different databases depending on which demographic you want to target. It is also gives you stats and feedback on how the email was received, opened, clicked on, responded to, etc.

Cons: I have no complaints other than if you collect a certain size database the monthly fee goes up.

Overall: I would highly recommend this product to any business, no matter the size. It is user-friendly, it is professional and it is an invaluable business software to have in the technical age we are living in. My company uses it on a weekly basis, if not more.

Pros: As a graphic designer and marketing manager, I love how easy it is to send a promo flyer to my existing customers. I also used this software if we had phone outages so our customers knew what was going on .

Pros: I started using Constance Contact to start a weekly newsletter as a journalism intern about 3 years ago. What I liked the most about it was how easy it is to use as a beginner. My manager at the time had an entire training session set up for us to understand how it works, but after a few minutes, we both realized how intuitive the interface was for anyone who knows how to use a computer. I was able to send out my first newsletter just a few minutes after we purchased the software.

Cons: The only con with Constant Contact is the automatic renewal. Since we had just started sending out a newsletter, we wanted to try other programs like Mailchimp or Act-On, but we were automatically billed with no warning and had no choice but to continue using it.

Pros: It was very easy to add subscribers to a certain list or add tags to them.

Cons: There was a disturbing limit on the number of images you could have in your "library" for use. We were paying $/month, which meant a limit of 5 images that could be stored. MailChimp probably has a limit for free accounts, but we haven't reached it yet and definitely have more than 100 images. There is also an image editing tool in MailChimp that Constant Contact did not have so that you can crop, brighten, or add text to your images within the software. It's very convenient.

Overall: My nonprofit was previously using Constant Contact for our email marketing before switching to MailChimp. We were paying $/month and had between 1,000 and 2,000 subscribers. After a couple people mentioned that MailChimp was free at that list size, we looked into it and switched over. As the primary user of these services, I have to say that MailChimp is much more intuitive and user-friendly than Constant Contact. There always seemed to be functions of email customization that just didn't work as they were supposed to in Constant Contact, and it would drive me crazy. Otherwise, the two services seem pretty similar.

Recommendations to other buyers: Definitely don't go this route if you're a small organization and have less than 2,000 subscribers. I vote for MailChimp, hands-down.

Pros: 30% off for Nonprofits , I always like to see these discounts - shows you that the company cares! Constant Contact was one of the first email automation solutions and remains one of the best. Several of our clients use and love it on a daily basis. There's plenty of support, WP plugins, other tie-ins and documentation for most of what you'd want and it's easy to use. It's has been and will continue to be one of the email solutions that we recommend to our clients.

Cons: There are some limitations with their auto-responder but not everyone uses or needs this feature. They have a good library of email templates but would still like to see some new ones.

Overall: Easy to use, reliable email delivery, and affordable. Constant Contact was one of the first and remains one of the best.

Pros: It is easy to use, if all you want to do is upload a bunch of emails and send out. Sure you can segment a little, but nothing close to other tools that were created more recently, or updated. Constant Contact does offer many templates, but again if you send templates with these designs and that many images, deliverability is so so.

Cons: It's inflexible, unable to take a list and break it out into segments easily. Automations are not even applicable here, but basics like good tagging and following up on visitors is missing. While you can segment your list, this software is still stuck in the old days when opens and clicks were the sole measure. Plus they don't pull in extra data to give you a better idea of your contacts, like social media presence.

Pros: It is very easy to use, and offers predesigned templates that can be used to promote any type of product or service and I think it is an excellent tool to reach many potential customers and grow your company.

We can also use metrics to measure the effectiveness of our emails sent, clicks received, opening rates and bounces.

I can say that it is a very effective and beneficial tool for any type of company.

Cons: It's great but maybe it's a bit expensive if your contact list is too big.

They have good anti-spam policies so you should be careful with your contact list and the campaigns you send.

Overall: It has been a great help to promote the services of my company and reach a greater number of clients. In my experience, it is the best tool for email marketing compared to others I have used.

Comments: Constant Contact is a great option for small-to-midsize companies - the price is right for the level of functionality you get.

Pros: The WYSIWYG email editor is very easy to understand, as are the email lists. I haven't used Constant Contact as my database of record in the past, but it has allowed me to upload a bunch of different lists and keeping track of them is simple. The unsubscribe process is easy and clear, and because so many people use Constant Contact, there's a level of trust in their subscriptions.

Cons: This is a problem that's also present in other products that allow anyone to design, but often the features that the email editor allows you to put together actually don't look that good. Obviously, that's what you get in exchange for flexibility, but if you choose to use Constant Contact, you should have someone with a design background run through the email templates your team creates to ensure they make sense visually.

Pros: The software is good at keeping track of what emails you want to send, to whom, who looked/clicked on it, and then catering additional emails to send people who did or didn't look at it. The layouts are much more appealing than setting it up in a standard email and there are mobile-friendly options, and the reporting is useful. It works with certain database/software systems so you don't have you manually update contact lists, but you can (lots of options). It auto saves your work for those that get easily distracted... there are lots of training options for the system if you want to know all the functions.

Cons: With the ever growing tech world, I am surprised it's not more user friendly. Campaigns, for example, are not what you think- they're just individual email blasts. Moving things around, adding links, photos, documents and overall navigation is very time consuming and could take 5 clicks and a lot of "am I doing this correctly"! On the plus, you usually ARE doing it correctly. I haven't used another platform, so I can't really compare, though.

Pros: Constant Contact is one of the best systems to develop email marketing campaigns, mainly because it is very easy to use, we can create and segment contact lists in a simple way, it also has a great variety of pre-designed templates that we can customize to provide a professional style to our campaigns, personally I think it is a very useful tool to make sales and promote companies of any size.

Cons: Constant constact is very useful but it can also be a bit expensive, they have good anti-spam policies so we have to debug our list of contacts and be careful with the number of campaigns we send as we can be penalized if we do it properly . I think they should integrate support by email because in case of technical assistance we should always make a call to their contact numbers.

Overall: It is a great tool easy to use and very efficient to promote any product, idea or service, it helps a lot to make sales.

Pros: This software has made monthly newsletters less tedious. It has made designing the newsletter more enjoyable and easier. I like how you can use templates and easily edit them to fit your current "mailing". I also like how it syncs up with our social media accts. I no longer have to post them Constant Contact does it for me.

Cons: I wish you had a bit more control over some layouts. For instance not being able to change the width of certain columns when using a template. I would like more functionality in the app version so I could edit a newsletter while not in the office.

Overall: Overall I've enjoyed using Constant Contact. Whenever I have free time I login and play around with the features. I like that they offer classes and sometimes they are even free.

-It's easy to import contacts into list.

-Once you get the hang of it, you can easily make very creative emails.

-You can schedule your emails as well.

Cons: It can get quite pricey. This is best if you have a large email list and if you really need your emails to be complex. Adding the form template to a website was somewhat difficult, and then it worked, I got lots of spam emails coming in, which increased my monthly payments for emails that I would not use. I had to constantly clean out my list and when I tried to reach out to Constant Contact about it, I never received a response.

Pros: Nothing particularly positive to say about the product. It is a relatively easy product to use, but this is true of competitors such as Survey Monkey.

Cons: The company has very punitive billing policies. For one thing a customer must call them to cancel the service. Also, if you don't call the company to "suspend" your account they bill you even if it is completely inactive. The cost could be much higher depending on if you leave contact information in your CC account. If you don't want to completely cancel the account as you may want to use it in the future but you will have no activity, you must call them to place in the "suspend" status. If you don't understand this issue and they will bill you according to the policy - no concessions are offered. In my opinion, companies that offer quality products and services don't need to resort to deceitful tactics like this to generate revenue.

Recommendations to other buyers: Check the fine print to ensure you can live with their billing process.

Pros: My favorite thing about the software is the tracking within it. I can see exactly when someone opened the email, how many times they opened the email, and what they clicked on (if there's any clickable links) in the email. Another nice feature is the fact that you can add images and save them and design your own templates and save them, too. It's nice that you can schedule emails to go out ahead of time, too.

Cons: Sometimes it's hard to navigate through things for the first time. You often have to click through and try things multiple times to get the hang of the software. It's not always as intuitive as it can be. Also, I find that the software and can sometimes move slow or bog down my computer.

Comments: Ask an event planner to help modify the registration segments of the site. There are a few small features that would make this software heads and shoulders above everyone else's on the market.

Pros: Having utilized a variety of registration / communication systems through the years this one is my preference. It allows me to communicate effectively, track who has and hasn't seen the information and provide a stable registration system for my events.

Cons: There are definitely some glitches in the registration process. I would like to see an option for registrants to be able to log-back in and add guests or adjust their own reservations. It's also a problem when we sell "Tables" for an event that there is no way for them to enter the attendee names at a later date.

Comments: I personally believe there are better options out there, but I used this platform for eight years and it's serviceable.

Pros: It's easy to use, very intuitive, a user can figure it out pretty quickly. It's affordable and other modules (like events management) can be connected with ease. When I first started using it in 2009, I thought it was great.

Cons: It's a little buggy--like you can't get it to do certain things and you're not sure why--and doesn't look as clean and professional as other email marketing services. When they finally focused on mobile friendly templates, all your previous templates (one of the best tings about it, reusing previous templates) were much harder to use, likely due to the change in technology.

Comments: There were MANY professionally designed templates to choose from which makes it easy to start emailing right away.

Pros: I find that Constant Contact is one of the most intuitive, user friendly email marketing tools available. In no time, I was able to design emails and creating campaigns. Easy to learn and even easier to get started.

Cons: The customer service team could be a little easier to deal with. I had questions about the billing which I thought could have been better explained and in a more timely manner.

Comments: I've been very happy with the product and the support I've gotten from the Constant Contact team.

Pros: Very helpful resources and easy to use functions. Their free workshops are always very informative and help make connections with local consultants and advisers. Bringing in lists or gathering website signups is a breeze. Setting up and email blasts or campaigns is simple and they work great on all devices, from PCs to phones. Reporting is helpful and detailed.

Cons: As a small company its list limits are not a big deal, but I could see where they would be a problem for those with huge (100k+) email lists. The WordPress plugin has caused problems for me. I've had to disable it a couple of times. But right now it's working fine. Also the limit on the number of users means it can't be a true CRM for us since our sales team can't take advantage of its great tools.

Pros: I love how Constant Contact manages email lists. We receive lists from an ever-changing database and it is extremely helpful when Constant Contact finds duplicate entries when uploading a new list into a current list.

CC makes it easy to see who opened the email and who didn't. I like that emails can be resent only to those who have not opened the emails. I also like the one-click unsubscribe feature and how CC keeps track of it so email is not sent to those who have opted out.

Cons: Although you can set up the sender's email to look as if it is coming directly from an individual, it seems that emails often end up in the recipient's junk email. I am not certain if this can somehow be avoided.

I wish it was a bit more customizable. The templates are great for non-designers, but for those who have experience in design, the set design parameters can be somewhat frustrating.

Lastly, as an Administrator, I wish there was a way my "users" could access only "their" campaigns instead of "all" campaigns.

Pros: The customer support if we run into trouble. They have a fantastic support team. We also like the functionality of the autoresponders.

Cons: The updates need to go to all versions, not just a few. We would also like a successful upload of names with emails - also multiple columns with different emails to each name.

Overall: Mass emails and autoresponders

Pros: I guess it's a good database to keep information on customers and send an email blast.

Cons: I have 75 contacts with the same company. I do not want to enter the companies name, address and phone number 75 times. So I called customer service and asked if there was a way that I could place those 75 contacts (with email addresses) in Constant Contacts and then add the company one time. there is no way to do that. So I have to go in and enter the SAME COMPANY 75 times. Not Cool!! Also, as I am entering contact information, the screen will jump around so I am constantly having to go back up to the top of the page to continue to enter the info.

Pros: It is a great tool to promote our company, product or service. Constant Contact has a very good reputation worldwide, which is why we can develop effective email marketing campaigns. It is very intuitive and easy to use, there are predesigned templates that we can use to adapt them to our needs.

Segment our contact lists is very simple, also after sending our email campaigns we can analyze metrics that help us improve our strategy, ie check the percentage of bounces and clicks, know the exact number of people who opened the mail and more

Cons: Actually it is a great system of postal mailings Maybe What I do not like much is the price, I think it is something expensive, but it compensates its effectiveness.

Overall: This tool is very useful for any company, it helps a lot to promote any product or service and is very effective.

Pros: Easy to learn, has many usable report features, efficient

Cons: With the latest updates, it doesn't appear there is customer support through Live Chat. I have had to call for help and hold for an unreasonable amount of time.

Overall: We use Constant Contact for all of our communication to school families. The emails are easy to create with many choices of templates and they all look professional. The reports available make our job easier and help us continuously improve our communication. We know who receives emails, who opens them and when, what links are shared, etc. The software is easy to learn and it takes no time to become a pro using it! Maybe best of all, it is very affordable!

Recommendations to other buyers: Encourage your stakeholders to "self-manage" their emails. Get them off to the right start by teaching them to add and delete emails on their own.

Pros: I really enjoy that we can store and organize many different lists of emails in many different groups. This makes contacting our members easy. We can update a large group of people quickly.

Overall: Constant Contact has helped us keep up with multiple emailing lists and made it a breeze to contact those people in just minutes. We use it with sending out updates, prayer lists, devotionals, and more.

Recommendations to other buyers: I would say to definitely try out this software if you are looking for a way to stay in contact with different groups of people, whether they are in large or little quantities.

Pros: It's a very simple system to understand and they give you a TON of helpful content, use cases, and knowledge base articles to reference. Creating emails is simple but I can see how it might be problematic if you don't have any experience with an email tool and you're trying to make a really snazzy email. Overall, it's a great tool for those who are trying to send out messages.

Cons: Tracking is not the best so if your an SMB, trying to follow-up with opens, clicks, or downloads then I wouldn't suggest this tool as you need something larger. As I stated above, I can see how it might be difficult if you sign up and have never used a tool like this before.

Pros: Constant Contact has tons of templates, an easy edit interface and integrations with many other software platforms to help streamline the marketing flow for myself and my clients. Lots of extras including surveys and sign-up forms. They also have a great library of video tutorials and excellent customer service.

Cons: Constant Contact can get expensive when you start getting lists over 5000. Also list maintenance (with any software) is a time consuming process. It would be nice to see bi-directional sync with some integrations like QBO so that when an customer is deleted or inactivated in QBO, it would also be deleted or inactivated in Constant Contact.

Pros: The new editor makes it a lot easier to customize so that it looks good for both the desktop user and the mobile viewer. Drag and drop features make it nice to adjust and edit quickly.

Cons: I wish there were a better way to add videos without it having to be a link, I know this is something that a lot of emails don't support, but there has to be a way that can pop up or use it another way so it looks better.

Overall: I can create groups of people for different email purposes, including based on what the readers are clicking on and it makes it more specialized in a very easy to use way. If I don't know where to start with a new email, there are a lot of template options available as well that can be customized to fit our organization.

Pros: how user friendly it is. The templates are simple and easy to adjust. I like that you can move things around within the template.

Cons: lack of automation and ability to create a funnel. I would like to be able to send out and email and drop someone into a funnel based on what they clicked on and what they opened.

Overall: I am not exactly sure how to answer, the benefit is seen is I send emails. If we didn't have compliance telling us which software we could use I would use InfusionSoft because of the automation it offers.

Pros: Constant Contact is very easy to get started with. There are templates that can be customized. I don't write html, so this was very helpful to me. It saved the organization a good bit of money over the previous printed newsletter. Lots of our supporters at the national level began to read our newsletter. Customer support was very helpful when I had problems I could not solve with the templates. The contact list feature is very useful for creating lots of lists and when sending out a mailing to multiple lists the software eliminates duplicates for the mailing.

Cons: Since it is an HTML based product for non-coders, I was limited to the "building blocks" supplied by the creator.

Overall: We saved money over our printed newsletter. We are able to set up specialized lists for various communications. We can send out a "News Blast" in very little time. We have analytics that let us know the success of every publication. Our distant supporters can be made aware of our work and become more engaged. All this without a lot of specialized software knowledge.

Comments: An easy product to use for email campaigns, a good overlay to text messaging.

Pros: Many easy features, such as choosing who the email is coming from and where replies are sent. Easy to track contacts who have unsubscribed from your email campaign. The copy feature allows easy use of existing campaign templates.

Cons: Contact lists are limited to 100 emails per list, you have to create a new list if you have more than 100 emails for the same campaign. A little more effort is needed when you first get started to learn how to create and edit templates- many options that may be complex for someone with little experience in marketing.

Pros: Easy to use software--this is both a pro and con! Very easy to upload existing contact lists from Google Links with DonorPerfect Amazing reporting features!! It gives you the analytics you need about how your email was received and "clicked" quickly and in an easy to understand manner.

Cons: The one complaint I have about constant contact is the editing software is targeted either towards those who "drag and drop" their content, or those who can write html to design their content. I get frustrated often because I want to overlap things, or design a header that is more complicated, but the automatically initiated boundaries within the editing software do not let me just drag and drop anywhere. I am limited to their borders as far as creativity goes. However, with that being said its great software and if you don't mind using Photoshop to build out the slightly more complicated aspects and then upload them as one image than it is no worries.

Pros: We use this product to reach out to those in our database. From recruiting for a mission trip, to telling of volunteer dates, to sharing a mission trip update story we are able to get in touch with people. I love the aspect of having separate groups that I can select to send stuff to separately or do a mass message. It also is great because it connects to our Donor Perfect and moves over contacts rather than having to manually insert them.

Cons: Only that I should have found it sooner!!! It has so many great features, from being able to upload personal images to use or to use their stock gallery. IT IS GREAT!

Comments: Overall, I would definitely recommend Constant Contact for anyone who sends communication (newletters, price changes, sales, or anything else) to their customers!

Pros: The ability to create different customer groupings makes it easier to send information to specific customers. Building a mailing group is easy. I can schedule mailings to go out after the office closes with ease. The ability to copy a previous mailing to edit for a new mailing ( product pricing, calendar events, etc.) saves a lot of time. The ability to send a test mail before preparing a bulk mailing is very helpful to see the information as the customers will see it; and make any necessary changes.

Cons: Formatting a new mailing from "scratch" was a little tricky for me the first couple of times, but it was well worth the effort!
