### "Reliable and easy to use marketing solution"

July 2, 2026

5.0

One of the biggest benefits of constant contact is its easy of use. It makes it simple to create professional email campaigns, manage contact lists, and tract key performance metrics.

Pros

Easy to use and good value for money. I use constant contact for email management, marketing and sales, data management and email organization.

Cons

I found constant contact's automation, audience segmentation, and campaign personalization capabilities to be somewhat limited for more sophisticated marketing initiatives.

### "Dependable solution for businesses looking to execute effective email marketing"

July 6, 2026

5.0

My overall experience with Constant Contact has been very positive. It provides an intuitive platform for creating professional email campaigns, managing contact lists, and tracking campaign performance without a steep learning curve.

Pros

What I liked most about Constant Contact was how easy it made email marketing, even for users without technical experience. The drag-and-drop email builder, professionally designed templates, and intuitive contact management made it simple to create and send polished campaigns.

Cons

While Constant Contact is easy to use, I found some of its more advanced marketing and automation capabilities to be limited compared to other platforms. Building complex customer journeys, creating highly customized workflows, and managing detailed segmentation can feel restrictive.

### "A formidable organization tool"

May 15, 2026

3.0

My overall experience with Constant Contact has been positive, particularly for its ease of use and consistency in managing email communications. It’s a dependable platform that allows you to quickly create, schedule, and distribute professional-looking emails, making it especially effective for newsletters, event promotion, and routine organizational updates. The interface is intuitive, which helps streamline workflow and reduces the learning curve for users who may not have extensive experience with email marketing tools.

Pros

What I liked most about Constant Contact is its simplicity and reliability for email marketing. The platform makes it easy to build, schedule, and send professional-looking emails without needing extensive technical knowledge. The drag-and-drop editor is straightforward, and the templates provide a strong starting point, which helps streamline the content creation process.

Cons

What I liked least about Constant Contact is that it can feel somewhat limited in terms of advanced customization and automation. While the platform is great for straightforward email campaigns, it doesn’t offer the same level of flexibility or sophistication you’d find in more robust marketing automation tools. Things like complex workflows, deeper personalization, or behavioral triggers can be harder to execute.

### "A Delivery Powerhouse with a Creative Ceiling"

April 30, 2026

4.0

Overall, my experience is positive. While I'd like to be more creative with the layout and design, the platform's functionality, detailed data collection, and the overall package are good value. Whenever I've had an issue, the CC Customer Service Team has always been quick to respond and help me resolve the issue.

Pros

The Constant Contact platform is reliable, easy to use, and a good value for the money. The data collection, analysis and automations are solid winners that are only outshined by their tremendous customer support.

Cons

The layout editor is pretty inflexible, or at least not a "friendly" user experience. While they have a lot of templates, there are definitely limitations on the creativity end. You can't resize images within blocks, for example, and when you create a new block yourself, you can't copy and paste them into a new template or save them as a content block for reuse.

Alternatives considered

[HubSpot Marketing Hub](https://www.capterra.com/p/171840/HubSpot-Marketing/)[ActiveCampaign](https://www.capterra.com/p/79367/ActiveCampaign/)

Reason for choosing Constant Contact

We did not need as robust a CRM platform as Hubspot and ActiveCampaign included, and opted for the reliability and ease of use/learning that CC provided at a lower cost.

The contact list limitation and corresponding price increases. While Mailchimp's features were a little more advanced as you climbed in tiers, the pricing for the number of contacts and sends we have was not significant enough to justify the additional cost.

Thank you for leaving a review! We're thrilled to hear our support and automations bring you value. To enhance your designs, you can easily resize images by dragging the arrows in the lower right-hand corner of the Image Block to resize the entire block. ### "Practical Email Marketing"

June 27, 2026

4.0

It’s not trying to be some massive marketing command center with a shiny AI sticker on the side. It’s a practical email marketing tool, and for the work we use it for, that’s enough. It gives us a reliable place to manage contacts, organize lists, build template-based campaigns, send emails, and review basic results without making the process feel like a technical expedition. The weak spot is administration. Account ownership, subaccounts, and recovery could be cleaner, especially for organizations with multiple teams under one umbrella. But for short-lived campaigns, seasonal messages, one-off updates, and focused communications, Constant Contact has been dependable and easy to work with.

Pros

It handles the practical machinery of email marketing: contact storage, list management, templates, campaign creation, sending, and basic reporting, without turning every campaign into an engineering project. The list management is especially useful. Contacts are easy to store, organize, and segment, which makes it simple to reach the right audience for short-lived campaigns, seasonal messages, one-off updates, or focused communications. Campaign creation is also straightforward enough that non-technical users can build and send clean emails without IT standing nearby with a wrench and a flashlight. I also appreciate that phone support still exists, because when there’s an account, billing, or campaign issue, talking to an actual human makes cleanup much easier.

Cons

The campaign side works well enough once people are inside the machine, but the ownership model can feel like a control panel built by committee when you’re supporting multiple teams, departments, or locations under one broader organization. The Account Owner still seems to be the center for billing, ownership, and higher-level account control. Roles like Account Manager and Campaign Creator help, but they don’t fully solve the central admin problem. From an IT operations standpoint, I’d like stronger centralized oversight so one admin team can govern the account cleanly while each team still manages its own campaigns. Ownership recovery is another weak spot. If the original owner leaves, support may need to get involved, which creates unnecessary cleanup work and operational risk.

Response from Constant Contact

July 9, 2026

James, thank you for this detailed review. It's clear you've put Constant Contact through real IT operations testing across multiple teams, and we're glad the list management and campaign creation are pulling their weight for the work that matters to you. Having a real person on the phone for account or billing issues clearly makes a difference too. Your point on account ownership, subaccounts, and recovery is fair feedback, and it's exactly the kind of input our product team needs to hear directly, so I'll be passing it along. Thanks for putting Constant Contact to work across your teams.

### "Constant Contact is Good Value for the Price"

July 6, 2026

4.0

Overall, Constant Contact does a pretty good job for what we need it to as a small non-profit. It has definitely been worthwhile to keep around and very useful for keeping our members/donors/community members informed of organizational happenings. It also has good connectivity with other apps for forms, etc.

Pros

Working as a part-time marketing coordinator for a non-profit, Constant Contact seems to provide the most value for the money. It keeps our lists organized and is easy to use in terms of quickly sending out emails.

Cons

The actual email builder seems a bit clunky in terms of being able to quickly design a nice email. I generally find myself designing the email in Canva and importing the image, but then there is limited functionality with creating links, buttons, and form items.

Review Source

Response from Constant Contact

July 9, 2026

Thanks, Ashley! It means a lot to hear Constant Contact's helping you keep your non-profit's members and donors in the loop, and that the list management and app connections are pulling their weight for a small team. We hear you on the email builder feeling clunky when you're trying to move quickly, especially around links, buttons, and form elements after importing a design, and that's valuable feedback to help our product team improve the experience. If you ever want tips on getting more out of the builder in the meantime, check out our blog or community page for helpful tips and tricks.

### "The quiet strength for my trusted email marketing campaigns"

June 8, 2026

5.0

Formidable communication efficiency. It is a robust tool that allows me to maintain a regular, secure connection with my community in compliance with regulations, lifting a heavy administrative burden off my shoulders.

Pros

What I particularly like about Constant Contact is its foolproof reliability. It is an extremely reassuring tool, notably thanks to its excellent deliverability rate: I know that my emails land directly in my recipients' inboxes and not in their spam folders. Recent updates have brought very modern and elegant layout templates. I also appreciate the built-in event management tools that allow me to handle invitations and registrations directly from the platform, which is a real plus compared to pure email tools.

Cons

The main complaint I have about this application concerns its pricing model. Like some of its competitors, the cost is based on the total number of contacts stored in my list, and not on the volume of emails sent. If I have a large database but only communicate occasionally, the monthly bill quickly becomes very painful. Additionally, the advanced automation options (complex behavioral scenarios) remain a bit more limited and less flexible than what other specialized marketing automation platforms offer.

### "Way to strengthen client relationships"

June 26, 2026

4.0

My experience has been good. It has really helped in strengthening our client relationships through a consistent and well-thought-out communication process. It is accessible for both my team and client-facing teams. Although I would appreciate the addition of more advanced features, for now, it is working well.

Pros

Constant Contact has helped us maintain communication with our clients via targeted campaigns. I mostly use its email templates, which save me much of my time and keep a professional approach. One of the great factors is that we can have open rates and click-through metrics, which ultimately help us refine our engagement strategy.

Cons

While running multiple campaigns, it does get complicated. Sometimes I feel a lack of personalization options in email templates.

### "Convenient Tool For Email Management With Some UI Changes Needed"

July 23, 2026

5.0

Constant Contact has been a great tool for communication and marketing management for organizations of all kinds. It is easy for customers to sign up and for email organizers to share their newsletters in case someone misses an email or can't see it in their inbox.

Pros

I like how it is easy to subscribe to email messages and unsubscribe. They also send email confirmations if you want to unsubscribe just to confirm it was you. It is also very easy to embed the message onto webpages and share a link for others to view it.

Cons

Their UI design is very outdated and the graphics don't look very pretty. Additionally, this tool doesn't offer the option to add a background to newsletters, which is pretty standard today.

Review Source

Response from Constant Contact

July 28, 2026

Thanks for your feedback, Jesse. Making subscribe and unsubscribe simple, with confirmations built in, and easy embedding for sharing newsletters beyond the inbox is exactly what we want communication management to feel like. The UI refresh and newsletter background options are fair asks, and worth flagging to the product team as we keep modernizing the design.

### "Easy to use!"

August 4, 2025

4.0

I would recommend Constant Contact for anyone wanting to reach more of their clients but don't know a lot about design. This was easy to use and I think it would be easy for anyone.

Pros

I liked that I could insert my own images as content and I didn't necessarily have to use a template.

Cons

Sometimes my content images would not get as big as I would want them because of the constraints on the template size.

### "Makes emailing our membership a breeze!"

November 7, 2025

4.0

I think it is a great product, very afforable and provides nice discounts for our non-profit. Overall the templates are easy to use and makes keeping in contact with interested parties a breeze

Pros

I love how easy it is to send out regular emails to our members and how COnstant Contact keeps track of my subscribers and emails so I am not sending emails to people who no longer want them.

Cons

I wish some of the email components were a little easier to move around. Sometime I would like to be able to move an entire block and I have to move pieces. Also, it would be nice if it was easier to position picture in a block. Some blocks are easy to do this with others its nearly impossible without redoing everything.

### "Love Constant Contact"

November 14, 2025

5.0

I've been using it for 14 years and will absolutely stay with it. Periodically, things change/upgrade but it really doesn't take much effort to understand the changes.

Pros

The ease of creating a flyer. The process is clean and to me user friendly. If I don't understand something, customer service is great!

Cons

It doesn't coordinate with other software of its kind. I can't receive a flyer from, for instance, Mail Chimp, I can't simply use the info intact to make a flyer.

August 22, 2025

4.0

I've had a great experience with Constant Contact. Learning center and webinars and useful and stick to the skills I need, give me opportunity to feel comfortable exploring functionality on my own.

Pros

Easy to build campaigns and think strategically and wholistically about email communication, events, social media. Building communications to promote different aspects of organization is simple and mostly intuitive

Cons

Some of the integration from Donor Perfect feels clunky. So, data entry from raw data has been challenging (which in all honesty is probably partly our own fault) We got here from spreadsheets, so its a step in right direction, just challenging getting the less tech savvy in the space

### "Not My Fave Email System"

April 29, 2026

3.0

It was very mixed. It was generally fine, but it was not the cleanest system to use. If you're looking for an affordable option, but do not require a lot of branding or robust marketing needs, this should be fine for smaller businesses.

Pros

It's affordable and fairly easy to use in building email campaigns and managing assets. Scheduling emails was also a breeze.

Cons

Emails look very clunky and do not appear as clean or as responsive as they should. I had many instances where I'd build an email, test it, everything looked great, but once deployed, it would have odd errors in the template, e.g. broken images that weren't inserted or placed there to begin with.

We have been using Constant Contact for several years and it has been a valuable tool for us! We never need customer support because it is so easy to use! The pricing is affordable for a non-profit like us and we get great emails! I also appreciate the reporting and details. I can see exactly what our readers like and respond to.

Pros

It is very user-friendly and lots of great tools. I can compose and send out an email in minutes. I can target specific groups with certain emails, add pics etc. and then get the reporting on how it was received.

Cons

### "Constant Contact - from a "Third Party" perspective"

September 20, 2025

4.0

Our organization does not have any real connection with anyone at CC. Our relationship with CC is via 3rd party software. And unfortunately, no one at CC knows the software, so the response, "you need to talk to your vendor". It's a classic run around. And I don't judge the experience as a result. It just is what it is.

Pros

Fantastic templates to cover so many possible mass email situations. Makes it easy to be anti-spam compliant. As a stand alone system, it ticks all the boxes.

Cons

Customer support is initially AI generated, and once you get past that, the Help Desk people seem happier to send you links to what they think will answer your question. Rather than drill down to an answer. Fair approach, if they are under the gun to do volume answers.
