### "Elevating Donor Communications with Constant Contact"

Overall, my expereince with Constant Contact has been excellent. Also, our donor community has also noticed the improvement in the design and professionanlism.

Pros

I use Constant Contact to manage our newsletter, donor, and fundraising email campaigns. The platform is easy to use both in designing emails and managing email databases. This includes being able to segment email lists. We have started to use the Events option to plan and manage communication for our events. After our last event, I used the Survey function for the first time to receive quick feedback from our attendees. We are still learning, and the customer support has been responsive and provided excellent guidance.

Cons

With many of these platforms, there are a lot of templates you can use. But at times, this huge library can be a bit overwhelming for new users; too many choices. However, it takes practice, and the customer service has been great when I got stuck.

It's intuitive to use the basics of the platform. Easy to build campaigns and make them look nice...

Cons

Their support is really lacking. The online chat NEVER works. Most of their emails aren't monitored. There's no one here to help. The phone assistance transfers you 3+ times. Not good.

### "Easy to use and a great product "

Overall, the system has been easy to use. I had a little trouble upload my previous contacts from mail chimp that the help page/support was very helpful and provided all the info needed to transfer data.

Pros

Usability is super easy and the layout if modern and fresh. The drop and add tools are easy to navigate. All the editing options make it a real "do it yourself" software that is easy to use! Completely worth the money with the way you can track engagement and keeping all your constants in one place!

Cons

I like the layout builders. They are easy to use and very straight forward. There are many options to choose from whether it be a premade, or a make your own.

Cons

I really like Constant Contact. For me, we struggle with email deliverability, so I'd like to see more features to help us get in the main inbox, cleanse lists, etc.

### "CONSTANTLY CONTACTING"

At first, I had a designer who did all of my design and implementation for social and newsletters. He used and swore by Constant Contact. Then at one point it became necessary for me to do this work increasingly by myself. So, when I took over the software, I was a tad nervous at first, but it was all for not because it flowed easily within a very short time. In fact, there was little to no lag from learning new software so most of its architecture and design was very similar to a multitude of apps I had previously worked with. I breathed a sigh of relief.

Pros

Its design is simple and easy to manoeuvre and easy to use. It seems to be geared equally to newbies and individuals (like small business owners) who may not have a lot of hands-on design experience.

Cons

It can be a little slow at times. But that may also be a byproduct of the large database I have. A few times I had some challenges finding the various sites within the app, but after a bit of use, this became easier and easier.

Cons

What I like least about Constant Contact is that you are charged according to how many emails and/or contacts you have stored in their program ... whether they are all used or not.

Pros

Constant Contact is easy to use, highly functional, able to schedule emails, and able to use for marketing.

Cons

Constant Contact has an outdated style of formatting. It'd be great to see more trendy design and style coming through!

Pros

Using constant contact for email marketing and contact with my 2500 to 3000 client base was highly effective.

Cons

I loved the ease of creating monthly promotions for my bonafide client list. Also, the software integrated well with other platforms on social media.

Overall, Constant Contact is a reliable platform for us due to the straightforward way to manage email marketing. It has been very ease of use and we get to do campaigns quickly. However, as your business grows, you may start to feel the limitations in both features and pricing. It’s a great starting tool—but one that requires careful evaluation if you plan to scale your marketing efforts.

Pros

What I like the most about Constant Contact is how easy it is to use. It makes it very simple to create and launch email campaigns without much technical knowledge.

Cons

What I don’t like is that the platform becomes expensive as your contact list grows. In the beginning, pricing is ok but it can increase quickly and can become unaffordable for small businesses.

We've been using Constant Contact for just about 2 years now and it has transformed the way we communicate with our supporters. The metrics are so helpful as they guide us in our communication strategies, which is like having a marketing team on staff!

Pros

There are so many options to choose from for templates, segments and the integrated applications simplify the process of sending something out. My favorite is the survey page.

Cons

I haven't found anything that I dislike though there are so many options to choose from, sometimes it's a bit overwhelming.

We started using this when our organization was founded and it has been our staple software since. We use it to track how many people are engaging with our community. We can see if folks click through to go deeper, it truly is amazing! We've thought about changing over the years, but just cannot fathom not using it!

Pros

The variety of templates coupled with the opportunity to track who reads, clicks, etc. is invaluable at our knowing who is engaging with our community. Also, the variety of "offerings" through Constant Contact. It is more than an email system.

Cons

There are a few quirks with the system. Example - we have multiple admin emails in the system, but it will not allow us to choose a different "from" email as the default. It is one of our employees and needs to be a different one. This is not a game changer, you just have to remember to change the email if you start a brand new email stream. Talked with Customer Service and they said this is something they are working on.

I enjoy the simple to design template and ease of navigation. It is on par with the other systems I've used in the past, and it integrates with the CRM software I use making for easy management of emails and our data. I have not yet had an issue or needed customer support, so that should say something about ease of management.

Cons

To be truthful, there has not been anything I haven't liked yet. It came as an add-on to our CRM software, so in that way it is a good value for our money. Hard to complain.

### "Easy to use, cost based off number of emails stored"

The cost kept increasing for me because I needed to upload a new list each time I send out an email based off our current active customers. So If I had 5000 email address, 1000 of them may no longer be a customer of mine. But I still got charged even though I didn't email them any longer. It was hard for me to figure out which emails to delete as our customers changed weekly.

Pros

Constant contact was easy to use. Templates were easy to find and set up and reporting was excellent.

Cons

I did not like that you were charged based off how many email address were stored. I may have 5000 email addresses, but only emailed 3000 at any given time.

I enjoyed working with Constant Contact's platform. I appreciate their longevity in this field and their reliability. They also do a great job of training and helping you learn how to use it.

Pros

I LOVE Constant Contact's email management. It's very easy to create lists that you can organize and streamline your email marketing. They also make it easy for you to test your audience when emailing a newsletter to. Great as you don't always want to send the same email out to the same people.

Cons

I am not a huge fan of their designs. As a visual artist, it's helpful to be able to personalize the templates to your brand, and it is not as easy to do that in Constant Contact. Plus, they became very pricy as you added more emails to your account, which is a major consideration for small businesses.

I've been using it for 14 years and will absolutely stay with it. Periodically, things change/upgrade but it really doesn't take much effort to understand the changes.

Pros

The ease of creating a flyer. The process is clean and to me user friendly. If I don't understand something, customer service is great!

Cons

It doesn't coordinate with other software of its kind. I can't receive a flyer from, for instance, Mail Chimp, I can't simply use the info intact to make a flyer.

I feel like it was hard at first, it took me 3-4 campaigns to feel confortable with the interface and to be able to design a template that I actually really like.

Pros

I like that is it synched with Donor Perfect and it automatically updates my contacts. I like to schedule the emails so they are sent while I'm on vacation (like a Christmas card, for example).

Cons

What I find less user friend is the dragging and dropping of elements when creating a campaign. It's taken me a bit of time to get used to it but once I did, it's actually very user friendly and easy to adapt the templates to what I need.

I mostly use Constant Contact for very straightforward tasks like uploading contact lists and sending out email campaigns, and for those purposes, it works really well. The platform was easy to learn, even for someone who only uses a small portion of its features. Importing lists is quick and smooth, and creating basic campaigns takes very little time once you get the hang of the editor. It may not be the most advanced or customizable email tool out there, but for simple list uploads and standard email sends, it’s reliable and beginner friendly.

Pros

Constant Contact is very friendly for beginners. The drag-and-drop editor and the library of prebuilt templates make it fairly quick to build and send campaigns without needing to be a design or coding expert.

Cons

Automation and customization are somewhat limited. Emails can look a bit generic. The cost is also quite high.

### "Constant Contact - from a "Third Party" perspective"

Our organization does not have any real connection with anyone at CC. Our relationship with CC is via 3rd party software. And unfortunately, no one at CC knows the software, so the response, "you need to talk to your vendor". It's a classic run around. And I don't judge the experience as a result. It just is what it is.

Pros

Fantastic templates to cover so many possible mass email situations. Makes it easy to be anti-spam compliant. As a stand alone system, it ticks all the boxes.

Cons

Customer support is initially AI generated, and once you get past that, the Help Desk people seem happier to send you links to what they think will answer your question. Rather than drill down to an answer. Fair approach, if they are under the gun to do volume answers.

Pros

The calendar view of the scheduled emails is so helpful!

Cons

The list functions are somewhat limited since you have to upload and save each list individually.
