Overall, good platform. It made campaigns easy and a great place to segment your communication and subscribers.

Pros

I used constant contact a newsletter and direct email ad campaigns. I liked on how could create segmented subscribers for each campaign. Our campaigns were donor, partner, and alumni related. I like the structure and design of the newsletter and ad templates. I liked the preview view so you know how it would appear to subscribers. For a beginning like me, constant contacts was easybto grasp and understand. If i had trouble, i would simply search for tutorials or reach to constant contacts for support. Also the newsletters and email ads were mobile friendly!

Cons

What i liked least of constant contact was the price. It was more expensive than the other software.

Overall it’s still a great experience. Love the ease and flexibility of the features. I also love that the staff reach out and are proactive in making sure we’re happy.

Pros

The consistency is key. They aren’t trying to improve on something that works perfectly. I’ve used other companies where as soon as I get comfortable with it, they change something.

Cons

I would love if the drafts were easier to find. I usually have to make multiple clicks to find them.

Constant Contact has been a great tool for communication and marketing management for organizations of all kinds. It is easy for customers to sign up and for email organizers to share their newsletters in case someone misses an email or can't see it in their inbox.

Pros

I like how it is easy to subscribe to email messages and unsubscribe. They also send email confirmations if you want to unsubscribe just to confirm it was you. It is also very easy to embed the message onto webpages and share a link for others to view it.

Cons

Their UI design is very outdated and the graphics don't look very pretty. Additionally, this tool doesn't offer the option to add a background to newsletters, which is pretty standard today.

Thanks for your feedback, Jesse. Making subscribe and unsubscribe simple, with confirmations built in, and easy embedding for sharing newsletters beyond the inbox is exactly what we want communication management to feel like. The UI refresh and newsletter background options are fair asks, and worth flagging to the product team as we keep modernizing the design.

Ease of Use: High marks for accessibility. Setting up list segments, creating a basic template, and scheduling broadcasts takes very little time.

Pros

Constant Contact empowers small businesses with easy-to-use marketing tools. Its strong customer focus, collaborative culture, and commitment to innovation make it a company I'm excited to work for.

Cons

Pricing Escalation Limited Free trial Basic Automation Workflows: The visual automation builder is fairly limited compared to modern marketing hubs.

Contact Contact is a good idea, but just isn't novel any longer, the setup to create a new campaign is very outdated and needs to be smoother. And last, the cost is out of proportion for what it does. They are charging premium for a dated system that I don't think has been updated in the last decade.

Pros

Constant Contact is fine, it does what it is supposed to; it allows you to send email campaigns to your customers and can track the sends/opens/clicks.

Cons

If you have just a very tiny set of customers, then the cost can be free, but with any serious number of customer contacts the cost quickly adds up. Also, the interface to create a new campaign seems outdated and clumsy now, it should be easier by now.

Thanks for the honest take, John. The core of what Constant Contact does, getting campaigns out and tracking sends, opens, and clicks, is clearly working for you, but it sounds like the campaign builder and the pricing as your list grows haven't kept up with what you need from it. That's fair feedback, and it's the kind we take seriously when deciding where to invest next in our platform. If you're open to sharing more specifics on where the interface feels clunky, we'd like to get that in front of the team working on it.

application allows me to turn casual, one-time viewers into loyal, regular listeners through targeted and automated communications

Pros

I use Constant Contact to send our weekly roundups and pre-sale offers. The drag-and-drop tool is very easy to master, and I appreciate the focus on high deliverability rates, ensuring our emails land in the primary inbox rather than our subscribers' spam folders.

Cons

I often struggle to achieve an ultra-minimalist, editorial design that aligns with our media brand's premium identity.

Thanks for the 5 stars, Jessee. It's great to hear that the drag-and-drop tool and strong deliverability are helping your weekly roundups and pre-sale offers actually land with your audience. The editorial, minimalist design challenge is a fair callout for a media brand with your kind of premium identity, and it's useful feedback for us to have as we keep building out template flexibility.

My overall experience with Constant Contact has been very positive. It provides an intuitive platform for creating professional email campaigns, managing contact lists, and tracking campaign performance without a steep learning curve.

Pros

What I liked most about Constant Contact was how easy it made email marketing, even for users without technical experience. The drag-and-drop email builder, professionally designed templates, and intuitive contact management made it simple to create and send polished campaigns.

Cons

While Constant Contact is easy to use, I found some of its more advanced marketing and automation capabilities to be limited compared to other platforms. Building complex customer journeys, creating highly customized workflows, and managing detailed segmentation can feel restrictive.

Thanks so much, Stacy! It's great to hear the drag-and-drop builder, templates, and contact management made it so easy to get polished campaigns out the door without a steep learning curve. We hear you on wanting more room to build out complex journeys and detailed segmentation, and that feedback is genuinely useful as we keep building. Here's to many more campaigns ahead.

Overall, Constant Contact does a pretty good job for what we need it to as a small non-profit. It has definitely been worthwhile to keep around and very useful for keeping our members/donors/community members informed of organizational happenings. It also has good connectivity with other apps for forms, etc.

Pros

Working as a part-time marketing coordinator for a non-profit, Constant Contact seems to provide the most value for the money. It keeps our lists organized and is easy to use in terms of quickly sending out emails.

Cons

The actual email builder seems a bit clunky in terms of being able to quickly design a nice email. I generally find myself designing the email in Canva and importing the image, but then there is limited functionality with creating links, buttons, and form items.

Response from Vendor

Thanks, Ashley! It means a lot to hear Constant Contact's helping you keep your non-profit's members and donors in the loop, and that the list management and app connections are pulling their weight for a small team. We hear you on the email builder feeling clunky when you're trying to move quickly, especially around links, buttons, and form elements after importing a design, and that's valuable feedback to help our product team improve the experience. If you ever want tips on getting more out of the builder in the meantime, check out our blog or community page for helpful tips and tricks.
