### "no email software is comparable to constant contact"

May 28, 2022

5.0

this software has allowed me to work in the field of sales in a more efficient and professional way with above all a 10-fold increase in performance

Pros

I like the simplicity with which this software allows me to be in constant contact with my clients and the way I organise my email campaigns at the beginning of each month

Cons

the price is too high for someone new to the software and it is very expensive to deploy

### "Constant Contact review"

June 5, 2021

4.0

Pros

Constant Contact excels in handling various groups/lists and large numbers of contacts. I've dealt with companies with a vast customer base, and Constant Contact enables you to manually eliminate subscribers and errors from more extensive groups/lists. They're coming out with a new edition of their email builders, but the existing one allows for individual CSS coding per block, which allows for a lot of customization.

Cons

Constant Contact has several oddities that I haven't encounter with Mailchimp, especially when using external connections for photographs and URLs. The email builder's text and link editing is a little strange and has a few flaws. Also, unless you make folders for all of your emails, the new search option for past emails is quite sluggish and takes a very long time to find.

In the companies we have had large and effective profit projects.

Pros

Very good and very effective contact management software, projects and according to other platforms it works very well all incorporated, it has been quick in project management for future tasks.

Cons

Sometimes it blocks us from incorporating other tools. But it works fine.

### "Poor Service - We Quit and Switched"

February 23, 2021

3.0

Easy software, but many features gave us problems, and the customer service response was terrible. We switched providers as a result.

Pros

In the early days of using this type of mailing software for subscription based newsletter campaigns, CC was at the top of its game and most popular. We chose it for that reason, and did it automate and streamline the process of sending email campaigns, however, the problems with CC falsely penalizing for spam caused us to switch providers.

Cons

We imported a significant subscription list which we gathered over several years. When sending a campaign upwards of 5K to 6K, there are going to bad addresses or people which decide they no longer want the content. Fair enough, however, we had a double-opt-in platform in place, and send a campaign 1x monthly. There are always going to be individuals who hit "spam" on email platforms, such as Gmail, because it's a fast way to unsubscribe and delete. This happened enough times, with just 2-3 people (out of thousands) using the Gmail spam report, that CC began to throttle and limit our service. We sent, time and time again, evidence of the double-opt-in from a particular group of spam reporters, to show we don't send unsolicited email -- ever. CC would remove the throttle, but it happened enough times that we grew irritated. If CC made it easier to unsubscribe, and Gmail made it not easier to hit a "spam" button instead of an "unsubscribe" button from CC, we wouldn't have had the issue. We felt the customer service was poor and unfair given the extremely low percentage of those who clicked "spam" (2-3 individuals) out of 5-6K recipients on a given campaign. We closed our CC account, switched, and never had the same problem with the follow-on provider, who took better care of us, and, our readers.

Reason for choosing Constant Contact

Seemed easy to use by multiple staff members. That wasn't a good enough reason to stay, and we didn't. We switched to Mail Chimp (happily so).

### "Easy to use, great for contact management, but terrible customer service "

November 25, 2017

4.0

The email analytics and reports are great.

Pros

I use CC to to manage our large contact database and to send out email updates. It is great for segmenting our list -- from general interest to communications to fundraising. The automated features are great, especially that it will not allow the same email to appear in the same inbox twice. It also merges duplicate contacts. We use it across the entire organization. Constant contact is great for merging duplicate contacts, updating your address book, giving a reliable open rate and thorough reports, and allowing you to segment large email lists.

Cons

When uploading additional contacts, CC wants to see how they actively subscribed. This can be problematic when uploading an older email list (i.e. you may just have a spreadsheet of The List and they want to see more evidence). Additionally, it is a little pricey compared to competitors such as MailChimp. It would be great to be able to export email campaigns as HTML.Be extremely careful when importing contacts. Constant Contact wants to see how they actively subscribed. Sometimes it is hard to prove this when you have entered information for people you have an established relationship with, or if they verbally requested to be added. Constant Contact wants to actually see the (paper) sign-up sheet. This is unachievable for businesses/groups that have been around long enough to have established an email list based on personal relationships or when importing business cards. As for the design, sizing images can be difficult when you are using a self-designed template. As for the contact management services, representatives have very little technical knowledge and don't seem to understand marketing techniques used within certain industries.

### "Great features for email, though contacts and segmentation are often more difficult to figure out"

August 22, 2023

4.0

Overall, this is a good email platform to use. I've used others (MailChimp, Raiser's Edge) and I prefer Constant Contact for the ease of email and list creation. It's a solid product that you can learn in no time.

Pros

For email creation, Constant Contact is very easy to use. There are features like polling and Eventbrite integration, that are not difficult to learn and can make an email stand out. Tracking results are available quickly and it is simple to read the data of each email.

Cons

Segmenting contacts takes a bit of work to figure out, and it is not as straightforward as email creation. Additionally, landing pages are often glitchy when you want it to be slightly more sophisticated than a simple page. Despite requesting help from Constant Contact two times on the glitches, they did not respond to me with a solution.

### "Great platform"

December 10, 2023

Pros

The ease of designing emails, scheduling emails, social media management. The ability to make variations on different social platforms is huge. Creating different contact lists. Tracking open rates and clicks. Just overall a great platform for marketing purposes. Also excellent customer service.

Cons

### "Constant Contact is a necessary addition to your business..."

August 19, 2022

5.0

I've used Constant Contact for years and we have a bit of a love/hate relationship. Though my shop doesn't focus on MarCom efforts, by any means, we have won awards for our work with Constant Contact campaigns. The platform is a necessary part of any digital marketing plan. The backend is easy to use. The design templates are generally quite useful and they are semi-customizable. We've put out very professional pieces - some quite visually appealing - with their templates as a base and our clients have been very pleased with the fact that they get metrics back on open rates and click-through rates. They can see direct results of tweaks in the campaign. On the downside, a sizeable distribution list comes with a sizable cost increase. Stay under 500 and it's about the cost of a cup of coffee; go over that and it's looking more like the cost of covering the office's coffee at the team meeting (back in the days of in-person meetings - ahhh nostolgia). That doesn't hurt us when we do our own thing... but some clients balk a bit at the expense being passed on when we open their company-specific account. Those concerns reduce the larger a company's overall monthly expenditures are. All-in-all, Constant contact is a great arrow to add to your quiver. Thee may be cheaper alternatives and there may be more technically advanced options in 2022... but it's always good to have a reliable standby that has been used by companies of all sizes, throughout the globe.

Pros

Outstanding deliverability rates. Great backend metrics to manage your email campaigns. Professional looking templates. Ease of use when building email pieces.

Cons

Quickly rising price with additional contacts on distribution lists. Customer service is not that effective w/ either technical or billing questions. Automations are basic when compared to some other possible tools.

### "It offers inspiring design templates to start a project with."

October 26, 2023

4.0

I think that If the low-performant parts of this product are improved, it can be great -already there are quite a few other features that are doing well so far.

Pros

Based on my personal experience with Constant Contact, It's great so far because you get to use other external software with it and it's also very rich in terms of pre-designed templates which make it quick to easily create visually appealing landing pages without the need to start from scratch and they seem to well optimized for conversions -It helps to save effort and time though.- Another feature that I highly appreciate in Constant Contact it's that it actually gives you the ability to test different variations of your landing pages to identify which performs best in terms of conversion rates -well, this very amazing as it can be handy as it helps to minimize certain risks.- To get even fancier, it provides analytics that are helpful in tracking the performance of the landing pages such as page views, click-through rates, conversion rates, and much more which are essential for making data-driven decisions.

Cons

On the other hand, Constant Contact is limited in customization options. There are quite advanced features that some page builders like Brizy or Site Builder Pro offer which are completely absent in Constant Contact. This limits design potential and creativity as well.- It also lacks some advanced optimization features like dynamic text replacement, advanced targeting options, and opt-in form integration options.- To make the process even more complicated, Constant Contact offers poor SEO features. You don't even have full control over On-page SEO elements talkless of URL structure which can negatively impact organic search visibility.

### "It's fine...really"

August 24, 2023

4.0

Overall, I prefer Constant Contact over other similar programs. The templates, features, and list making features are my favorite. I just really wish there were ways to have easier way to integrate our CRM, and to tier access.

Pros

So I actually really enjoy the template features, and the ability's to make nice looking (professional) eblasts for my audiences. We tend to reuse old formats, and I understand that we're not always able to utilize the newest features for that though. If nothing else we are able to have consistency.

Cons

As we have different departments in the same system, there has been concern raised about being able to have tiered access to different parts of our database. This isn't something that CC seems to allow for. Would be great to have, but seems like it might be a big ask. With back-and-forth integration with our CRM was an option through.

Reason for choosing Constant Contact

I was the most familiar with CC already from a previous job.

### "Cost effective and high quality"

December 22, 2023

Very positive! Customer service interactions have been minimal, but that's because we haven't had many issues.

Pros

The ease of use is the top reason we chose this software. We didn't want to run into something that was going to require extra time for training. Our interns are able to build high quality campaigns with very minimal instruction!

Cons

There are multiple individuals that are in our contact list that never receive our emails, even if they have saved our email address and whitelisted it.

### "The analytics provided by Constant Contact provide the most satisfying feeling possible"

January 5, 2023

5.0

It is important to note that we perform continuous analysis of customer requests through social networks, external platforms and social media. This is something you should be aware of. Constant Contact's Platform can generate the best possible reports for connection and robust constitution of the required elements. Through Constant Contact, we have engaged several different public content targets, and the results have been as expected. We expanded advertising options and became more effective content strategists as a result.

Pros

Constant Contact makes me happy, as I have improved the quality of all analytical procedures used in specialized marketing and ensured that they are always further developed. Everything is first class and of the highest quality, and I can complete a group marketing project with the help of their various tools. The service is quite good, and, with their use, I could integrate and customize the software without any problems. I evaluate data from social media accounts to corporate clients and various analytics management systems. There is no doubt that Constant Contact is an excellent opportunity for high-level advertising.

Cons

Constant Contact is an excellent product that has significantly impacted the creation of seamless marketing and numerous management systems.

### "Best email marketing products for small businesses "

April 28, 2023

5.0

Constant Contact has been our team's favorite platform to use for email marketing. We are a small company, so we cannot speak for large businesses, but for us, it has been perfect to reach our 10,000+ person audience on a regular basis, as well as incorporate landing pages and gain more subscribers.

Pros

Constant Contact was our top choice for two reasons. 1. Emails are more customizable than other platforms. You can move elements side to side which you can not do on a handful of competitors' platforms. This was huge for us as the look and style of our email are extremely important. 2. Constant Contact offers the ability to create landing page sign-up forms. Total game changer and incredibly easy to create!

Cons

Frequently the platform slows or errors and the text editor covers the text box we are working on. To fix it, we have to refresh the page and likely lose our work.

### "Best Website Builder"

April 19, 2023

Pros

Creating beautiful and fun emails for my list of people. I love that you can schedule when you want the email to be sent. But there is so much more one can do such as event registration and websites.

Cons

The only con to constant contact is customer support. It is a bit difficult to reach them at times even though they have many articles to help you out. They do offer chat support, but sometimes it's easier or more helpful to be able to speak with someone.

### "Robust Email Marketing"

September 3, 2018

5.0

Converting web site visitors to email marketing recipients has never been easier, as site visitors simply select which programs they are interested in and they are automatically added to the appropriate contact lists in Constant Contact. Constant Contact has made it painless to conduct email marketing campaigns that circumvent spam filters, something that Emma and MailChimp struggled with.

Pros

Constant Contact makes it really easy to make attractive, functional emails and to conduct email campaigns with sequencing. Building emails is done via a drag-and-drop interface (WYSIWYG), so you don't have to have any coding experience with html or css. It's really easy to schedule your campaigns, too. If you can use Outlook and Word, you should be able to get comfortable with Constant Contact pretty quickly. It's also really easy to build and manage contact lists, including importing from csv files. And Constant Contact does a good job of tracking bad email addresses and removing them from your lists, which is important because you are charged by the number of contacts you have. I also like that you can send yourself previews so you can try the messages out on different mail programs and tweak them to your liking. Once you've sent out the messages, Constant Contact offers reporting to let you know how successful your campaign was, including the click-through rate. It also sends you reports about who is being added to and removed from your contact lists. Its integration with several WordPress form plugins means it's easy to convert web traffic to email marketing recipients.

Cons

Permissions. There are basically two levels of permissions besides the account owner: campaign creator and account manager. It would be nice to have more granular control over what users can do, because account manager gives users a lot of freedom, but is necessary to work with contacts, schedule a send, etc. The other thing I don't like is how quickly the cost ramps up. Having used Emma and MailChimp, I feel like Constant Contact is the most robust platform. But it is expensive.

### "Good but Glitchy"

May 19, 2022

3.0

Overall, I enjoy Constant Contact but do experience frustrating glitches that make the use experience more challenging. There are some adjustments that could be made to make the process more user friendly, such as the ability to move multiple content blocks at once and the ability to add multiple photos to text boxes and move them around within a text box.

Pros

I enjoy the overall ease of use of this software. It's user friendly and allows anyone who feels relatively comfortable with technology to create a newsletter. I appreciate the ability to create templates, duplicate campaigns, and send emails to different audience segments.

Cons

I dearly wish that multiple content blocks could be moved all at once, together. I usually create content with text, button, text, and image and have to move each of those blocks individually if I want to place them elsewhere in the newsletter, which is tedious. I also run into some glitches with this software. For example, when I delete a title the formatting is lost and I can't type into the text box unless I leave the text box and come back to it. I run into a similar experience editing the font and text on buttons.

Reason for choosing Constant Contact

Constant Contact integrated with our donor software.

### "Increased customer base "

August 2, 2022

4.0

We love to reward returning customers, we know there are a lot of choices in clothing and jewelry. We used constant contact to make sure all of our customers know about our rewards and have the opportunity to use them in store and online. As a boutique it's important that we have items our customers are looking for but may not be able find in a mainstream store. We use the surveys to find out what styles our customers are most interested in, which also makes the customer feel valued and included. We discovered that out customers were looking for different styles than what we had originally anticipated. The pricing makes all of this a bit irrelevant since I can purchase the same services for much less from another software company.

Pros

The amount of new customers we brought in was awesome, we kept in touch with past or current customers, meaning they're more likely to become repeat customers. Email tracking and email automation, surveys (or polls), high deliverability rate, click tracking, insights, and ease of use are all pros. Customer service is very responsive.

Cons

Constant contact costs more and provides less for the price than most of the other email marketing software I've used. I'm absolutely fine with paying more to get more but it doesn't make sense to pay more to get less. Business 101... Depending on who the recipient has their email address with, more or less of the emails from constant contact may to wind up in the promotions label vs primary.

### "User for Years"

August 11, 2022

4.0

I've been using Constant Contact for many years. I tried Mail Chimp but didn't find it as easy and I didn't feel like uploading all those contacts and photos to it. So this is my simple email solution for email marketing to my entire client list and to segments of that list.

Pros

Constant Contact is easy for me to access, easy to work with for the most part and having contacts right there is also so simple. Most of the editing is simple but a bit clumsy when adding new boxes, images, etc.

Cons

This software is customizable. I wish the templates were customizable. I really would like to be able to change colors easily without needing to search around to do so. It seems sometimes you just can't but you like the template so... I feel adding boxes and photos can be annoying when they won't go right where you want them. Can't adjust it either.

Reason for choosing Constant Contact

Constant Contact seems simpler than Mail Chimp.

### "The best way to promote your company by email is with Constant Contact"

December 6, 2018

5.0

Constant Contact has been very helpful for our company, it is an excellent marketing tool that has allowed us to increase our customers and sales significantly. It is a very complete and effective system but at the same time a little expensive if you have many contacts, but I think it is worth the investment.

Pros

Constant Contact has many features and functionalities that allow us to effectively promote any product, business or company. It's easy to start creating email marketing campaigns with Constant Contact. It is intuitive and easy to use, its interface is simple and allows us to adapt easily to your work environment. You can create effective campaigns with a pleasant and innovative visual style since the system has a large number of templates that we can customize and adapt to any type of campaign, there are many different designs that we can choose from. Constant Contact will allow us to direct our campaigns to one or more contact lists that we have since we can segment our contacts very easily, simply creating different lists for each group of contacts that we need We can perform an analysis on the campaigns sent through the option of reports, being able to quickly verify the percentages of opening, clicks, rebounds and unsubscriptions and thus we can be improving the effectiveness of our campaigns   Constant Contact allows integration with other systems such as Shopify, Wordpress, BigCommerce, facebook and others.

Cons

I think your support staff are not so good, when we call support it is difficult to find an operator that speaks Spanish and we lose a lot of time on the call, I also think that Constant Contact is a bit expensive system.

### "Easy to Use and Track Results"

July 11, 2023

5.0

I started with Constant Contact and was able to jump right into it and felt very comfortable with the system. The distribution lists and tags were very easy to use and made my use of the database as a CRM much easier. We didn't want to spend money on a true CRM so this did work well for our use.

Pros

I found CC very easy to use and the templates more in line with what I'm interested in.

Cons

I get emails that may never open my emails but they just keep getting collected and increases my total and the pricing reflects that. I'd also like to get a little guidance on what might cause an email to get caught in a junk folder or be looked at as spam.

Reason for choosing Constant Contact

My previous experience with CC was very good. So making that selection was very easy.
