It is friendly for the end user and their templates make it easy to get started. You're able to have many different email lists and rules which is wonderful and I enjoy using it mainly because of the accessible, real-time customer service. Pros This is the kind of software I would stay with simply because their customer service is unbelievable. If I am trying to code something and can't get it to work, their team is highly accessible and able to address it in real time with me while also telling me what I could've done or did wrong. This kind of customer service goes a long way in knowing someone is always available at all hours to help you with urgent email campaigns. Their team is kind, knowledgable and amazing. Also the templates are very easy to customize with the back end HTML function. Cons It can look a bit clunky and not the best in terms of presenting a user friendly interface. It is very easy to sign up and select which notifications a recipient wants to receive. Pros We have multiple users on this platform and everyone is doing something different. The system allows everyone to access their templates, make changes, set delivery schedules, track open/read responses. Also, since the system is web based, it's easy to access from any location, not just the office. It's especially useful when we have power outages and need to send out emergency messages. Cons Constant Contact is not the most intuitive software. New users basically have to do trial and error to figure out where their templates are and how to work within the system. It's yours Pros Contact Constant is an excellent software for small businesses. It manages practically all the parameters that a business online has (mailing, marketing, automation, analyses, reports, management, assistance...) very pragmatically. Additionally, the prices are affordable and data exchange is very fast. Marketing and Digital Manager Real Estate Used the software for: 2+ years ### "Constant Contact Partners is Awesome" November 20, 2020 5.0 We manage Constant Contact accounts for 70 Real Agents and the Partners console is critical for account management and our sanity. We use it differently than most users, we rarely use templates. We have an intranet process that automates the coding of each email. This allows us to easily customize the emails for each agent and the properties they want to showcase. So use just dump the code into constant contact select the lists and off the emails go. It really is the only way we could effectively manage 70 accounts, otherwise, it would take weeks for us to get through all 70 agents' custom emails. Pros We chose Constant Contact over competitors for the Partners Console. We really needed to be able easily to manage 70 accounts. Cons Reporting in my opinion is lacking in the partner's console. Often, we send a customized version of the same email to all of our agents. To gather reporting data we have to go back into each individual account and to get Open Rates and Click-through rates for each email we send. It would be awesome if we could select a data window in the Partners console and it provided data on all emails that went out in that time frame. I wish they didn't emphasize their templates so much, which we rarely use. For us being able to automate the emails is critical and it be amazing if they provided custom code templates for building mobile-responsive emails. Updating our automated system is a bear and keeping up with ever-changing email issues only adds to the frustration. Emails is what they do, and it would be very easy for them to provide those options. So we could focus on just automating process . Review Source Rob R. June 13, 2023 1.0 poor Pros I can't really come up with anything that I liked about Constant Contact Cons We were mainly using it for marketing and for their web site service. When they discontinued their site service, it took me 2 months to finally get them to remove our website from the internet. I had to create a new website with another company and use a different name because there was no way to get in touch with anyone on the website portion of Constant Contact. You can only email that department and it takes days for anyone to respond. When you do get a response, it is the same generic email each time, but nothing is every done to resolve the issue. We were still being charged for services that we had no access to and they would not cancel our service. I will never use them again. November 30, 2023 4.0 Great way to make and send emails in an easy and straightforward way. Useful templates and modules. A little pricey unless you use it very frequently. Make sure to know and follow their rules. Pros Constant Contact makes setting up and sending email blasts quite easy and straightforward. There are many useful templates and modules that allow you to create emails quickly. You do not have to be very tech savvy to use this software. Their customer support is very nice and helpful and seems to be based in the USA. Cons As a company who only sends one or two email blasts a month, it is a bit pricey. We could send emails every day and pay the same amount, so it seems perhaps some other payment parameter would be reasonable. As it is now, you pay by how many contacts you have in your database, regardless of how many you actually contact or how frequently. Also, they have a lot of rules. Your account gets flagged if import a lot of contacts at once or get more than 0.1% spam reports on a blast. Once we uploaded a list of contacts and they weren't satisfied with our explanation of how we got them so they blacklisted the contacts and made us unable to ever contact those people again. If you get more than 0.1% spam reports your account can be suspended or you may get a little scolding. ALWAYS! Pros CC is advantageous as you can resend an email to anybody that never opened it in the event that meant to come back to it and forgot. Being able to know who opened the email and who didn't is very critical. Cons Least likeable thing about Constant Contact is they way it post on social media - you have to tweak it just a lil to make it pleasing to the eye. Shout out to their Customer Support team. They are responsive and extremely helpful in solving problems and tackling issues. Pros The ability to manage large and multiple email lists of customers and internal employees. Also, the rescheduling feature for emails is invaluable. Cons The software is bit wonky sometimes in Safari for Mac. Glitches include library graphics not loading, pages slow to load and other incompatibility issues. Switching to Chrome for Mac usually helps. The navigation is simple :) It really couldn't be any easier for a first-time user to figure out. A kid could definitely use it without any guidance (provided that they can read). I really enjoy using it, so that's a plus. I also love that you can view how many emails were opened , even who opened them and what they clicked on! As a marketing person, that's the greatest gift ever. Real data you can see, use and understand. Sadly, not all marketing products offer that. But Constant Contact does! And they do it well. Cons Most of the templates end up looking sort of outdated. I describe it as "an early 2000s vibe." They could really use a face-lift to make them more attractive. That's honestly the only thing I don't like about it. Everything else is super great! Wish they'd adapted a more Mailchimp-esque look for all of their products. April 6, 2021 5.0 Always a great experience using Constant Contact ... and on the very rare occasion when I may have a question or concern, their Customer Support is excellent. Pros Constant Contact makes it super easy to stay in touch with our association members as well as to create various marketing campaigns. Cons The only negative I have is with pricing. While Constant Contact provides tremendous value, and offers fantastic savings for a subscription paid annually (which is a good thing) ... for us as a non-profit, it is easier budget-wise for us to pay monthly, so we are not able to take advantage of the bigger discount. It would be helpful if Constant Contact allowed those same savings to be applied for non-profits who pay monthly ... especially since we have been a long-time customer. It has been a good decision to acquire this software. Pros I love this tool, I can automate emails by creating flows for customers. The reporting interface is great, I can see absolutely all the statistics of my campaigns and collect that data to improve my next campaigns. Cons I think the only thing I don't like about this tool is the price, the cheapest plan is $20 per month, among all the options available, this is one of the most expensive but it works perfectly. The template design is very interactive and easy to edit it to fit with the email objective. We had a good response and email open rate with this software. Cons The price plan is quite expensive after you reach the limit for the contact list and how much email can be sent for a month worth. It keeps our clients in the loop especially those who are 5 years away from purchase but are still very legitimate targets. Pros The interface is very intuitive, just drag and drop. Data-rich in a lot of ways. Connection with Canva opens up a lot of opportunities. Send retargeting emails to people who clicked certain links - highly effective.Customer support to reset my CNAME records was helpful. Cons Best used in Sharpspring, if you have to import contacts from your own database, then you're missing a lot of the potential of Constant Contact.One thing I'd change is the ability to more easily export click lists after an email is already sent.  I also wish there was a way to import larger files and just have it reduce the size automatically to the largest acceptable. This was their first entry into the digital marketing space. We ran blast style campaigns for them as their budgets were restricted and didn't do much digitally so they started small. It's been a few years since I've used the program but it was easy pick-up with their template builder, pick your segments you were going to send to and schedule. They had a decent media library to store things, that wasn't expensive, last time I used. Overall, it's a good entry level ESP based on my previous experience. Pros This was the first email program I used with the different email service providers. We were able to set-up different templates and customize them to have a nice look and feel for them. I liked that you were able to jump into the HTML code and make some minor tweaks if you knew what you were doing. I am pretty novice on that front but was able to do it. Cons At the time, we didn't have any automated campaigns going for the client which is now a pretty big deal in the email side of things. It's been a few years since I've used this program as I've progressed onto other ESPs with my current company but Constant Contact is a good entry level ESP based on my previous experience that was one of the cheaper ESPs depending on your list size. We're able to really bring our brand and exciting updates to life through templates that we're able to customize and personalize to our readers. Updating contact listings and having the option to segment contact lists is invaluable for a small business like ours who carefully customizes messaging across our many different audiences. Cons Some of our integrations with other apps and tools can be spotty. We've put processes in place to regularly check and confirm integrations between Constant Contact and our project management software.
