We are always checking out their new features that might help us even more on our marketing trails. For what you get, you are not paying too much which is cost effective! Pros The feature that is most useful in my current job situation is the technology this program has to track opens and clicks for basic to intricate emails that are sent out to customers. This helps us to determine our most interested and time worthy customers/prospects for different products. Another thing is that you can import/export large amounts of data whenever you need it, and they have the tools all over the website that can help you every step of the way how to get the most out of the email campaigns. Continuous updates and features are added to the website monthly, with an article explaining all about it pops up in your notifications. Cons Sometimes if there is too much data/campaigns integrated into the website it can slow simple tasks down by large degree. Also there are many late night website touch ups they need to do to make the program better - but also annoys us night owls that like to get projects done late at night. Review Source Amy O. It's pretty easy to use and is pretty versatile. You can use their templates or create your own, you can schedule your campaigns to go out at opportune times, and you can have as little or as much info as you want tied to your contacts. Pros I like that there are different ways you can reach your contact list, from a survey, to a newsletter, to a quick blast. I like that there are also many different ways to upload contacts from spreadsheets, to manually, to cut and paste. Cons It seems like the pricing could be a little more affordable for those who have a bunch of contacts. I also don't like that they changed the way that we can handle bounced email addresses. Pros I really like the fact that we can craft and easily schedule and send out to various lists based on the type of email and intended audience. The software itself is relatively easy to use. Cons How the text and photos sometimes shift in spacing from what is saved to what gets sent. This has happened for years and seems to be a design fluke. Uploading photos is painful and seems to be overly complicated for use in the design. Reason for choosing Constant Contact We choose Constant Contact because it was included in our DonorPerfect software package deal. Pros Doesn't duplicate contacts but allows you to upload as many lists as you want. Easy to use. Cons Make sure your company has big enough servers to handle the application. It really slows down our internet at times. Also, you can't import multipage documents/PDFs, you have to take screenshots of each page and upload them as a photo. Wish that was different. We also use it to introduce new team members and keep patients informed about the day to day operations of our practice. Pros I love that patients can sign up for emails directly via a link on our website. It's easy to add patients to the database and patients can unsubscribe if they don't want to be contacted. It's a self-running program that doesn't require a lot of user maintenance. We can also gauge the patient's interest in subjects by the analytics from the software. Customer support is also wonderful, and they are eager to help if you need it. They also offer free training sessions where you can learn a lot. Cons One thing is that sometimes our clients wouldn’t receive our emails. Whether they would accidentally unsubscribe (getting them back on the email distribution list is frustrating), or get kicked off the list automatically due to inactivity. As a new user to digital marketing platforms when I started my job, I cut my teeth on Constant Contact and was able to help the developers of our industry-specific platform (Levitate) make things better for us based on the positive experiences I had with Constant Contact. Pros I really liked the availability of a lot of free images. Another resource we switched to that is industry-specific doesn't have the same amount of images. For someone looking to send out email communications, they make it easy to build an email from scratch or provide templates to get you started. It's user friendly and has a lot of options to see how your contacts are engaging with your emails. Cons Short of custom coding the emails, there was little opportunity to customize to the degree that we were looking for. When trying to maintain our brand across multiple communications while not spending extra resources on customization, this became a hurdle using this platform. Reason for choosing Constant Contact The cost was the main factor in choosing Constant Contact, but it turns out that the customization available on the other platforms in worth the increased cost. Our email campaign and overall site traffic has increased since implementing. I would definitely reccommend it to anyone looking for an email marketing service. Pros I love the constant contact platform. It's very easy to use and allows for seamless email marketing creation and distribution. Managing multiple lists is super simple. Also seeing the diagnostics of who reads the emails and where they click is super helpful when campaign building. Cons Sometimes the templates can be a little finicky. However, there are work arounds that are shared via tutorials and forums. Which are very helpful! It is now requiring PayPal accounts to pay with credit card which our guests do not like, but WePay does not integrate with Quickbooks, so event registration has just become a LOT more work. December 21, 2021 5.0 The e-mail service is simple, easy to use service. I love working with Constant contact. Pros I like that it is simple software that is easy to use. You can make e-mails look nice and send it out to lists quickly. I like that you can create multiple lists and add contacts easily to those lists. Cons I don't like that as an automated e-mail, this often gets lost in people's junk mail. So easy to navigate and I liked the experience. Pros I liked the many different templates they offered and the ability to customize them if needed. It even lets you splash in some HTML if you wanted to which I liked. Cons I didn't like the cost. For email marketing and being a small business owner I didn't like paying a lot of money that I didn't have with a new start up. Also they updated to where we can now upload more than 5 images for free. Good contact list management with tags. Cons I'm not sure about the latest templates, but the ones I've worked on are responsive, which I'm surprise to see how behind Constant Contact is to other competitors. My biggest issue is their templates are very restricted. I have no way of adding @media queries into CSS. Some codes get ignored or deleted, and there are so many issues with bugs in coding in Constant Contact that haven't resolved for YEARS. Others are complaining in online forum, but those issues aren't taken care of. For example, bullets get converted to asterisk. Their templates before my edits came back with bugs and issues of display in Outlook. Had to contact customer service. The person was nice enough to work on coding with me, but I have lost so much time. The issues were solved, but then the other part that was working fine wasn't the same with the new fix. Also, I have noticed that they updates systems/functionalities occasionally. This has caused breaking my existing templates which I spent days fixing bugs so it displays over most of email clients.
