Pros

The ease of use and variety when building email campaigns.

Cons

The need to require a two-factor authentication for all users for every login. Security protocols should be available to the end user to elect and not be made a requirement.

Pros

I like that we can see if a person receives an email, if they open it, when and even on what device. That is AMAZING! Also, that it is intuitive to use.

Cons

Constant Contact REALLY needs to work on the auto save and saving in general. Sometimes even when I press the save button, nothing happens. It doesn't save, I will need to log in and out 2-3 times for the change to save. It is extremely frustrating when this happens. It is not all of the time but I believe it happens at least 2 times a week. When I have contacted someone about this they said it was due to maintenance but it happens again.

A great tool for marketing automation. It's extremely affordable and simple in nature

Pros

In terms of pricing model, ease of use, and client experience-Constant Contact is great. I worked with it for approximately 3 months on projects for clients on Fiverr and I can confidently say that it's worth trying if you intend to drive results for your marketing projects.Every single feature in the app is easy to manipulate and it's got lots of cool templates too.

Cons

Constant Contact is slowly driving off the tracks, I mean, a few years back it was purely for marketing and I can't tell where the idea of web design comes in but I know it's not a good one. The application has become damn slow now.Its side builder lacks a ton of advanced features and performance qualities. The idea of trying to make this a hall-for-all service is not an ideal one- it was better off when the app was just marketing-oriented.

### "Top Tier When it Comes to Mailing List Management"

I usually recommend MailChimp to my clients, but Constant Contact might come in second. It's been around for a long time and is quite reliable.

Pros

Some mailing list services can be overwhelming and difficult to navigate. Constant Contact is clean and organized. It sections its features in easy to understand tabs that don't use a lot of insider and cute lingo. It's very intuitive how to start a new campaign, manage your subscribers, view reports, and create opt-in forms. It also integrates well with some of the more popular services like FB, Office 365, WordPress, and Salesforce.

Cons

It took longer to modernize its interface and there are still some remnants of the old system when creating campaigns etc. The signup forms feel a bit tedious to setup. It's not as visual and clean as MailChimp.

Our school has used Constant Contact for years. Not much has changed or become more innovative over those years. New design features would improve the product.

Pros

Design is user-friendly. It is nice to get updates on "opens" and "clicks" and to actually know what individuals were participating.

Cons

The ease of unsubscribing and not knowing the constituent's reasoning. Personalization feature is difficult to manage.

It is a great tool easy to use and very efficient to promote any product, idea or service, it helps a lot to make sales.

Pros

Constant Contact is one of the best systems to develop email marketing campaigns, mainly because it is very easy to use, we can create and segment contact lists in a simple way, it also has a great variety of pre-designed templates that we can customize to provide a professional style to our campaigns, personally I think it is a very useful tool to make sales and promote companies of any size.

Cons

Constant constact is very useful but it can also be a bit expensive, they have good anti-spam policies so we have to debug our list of contacts and be careful with the number of campaigns we send as we can be penalized if we do it properly . I think they should integrate support by email because in case of technical assistance we should always make a call to their contact numbers.

Pros

I used ConstantContact for more than just e-mail; I used it for events management and online surveys as well. So the fact that it was kind of an all-in-one tool for us was very beneficial versus having to swap between a different program for CRM, for event management, for reviews, and email updates. The platform was easy to use and you could get things set up in a matter of minutes. It also had great analytics and tracking reports.

Cons

The customer service was pretty dreadful. While they tout "customizable" templates, they are extremely restrictive in what you CAN do. Essentially you can piddle around with some basic HTML and change colors, otherwise, you're pretty stuck with the templates they provide you. The price is also high for what is offered.

It's decent for the money and easy to use but missing a few components for follow up.

Pros

They make building email marketing campaigns easy for me which is critical. They have a huge selection of templates and allow me to build my own. I also like the polling and RSVP buttons.

Cons

I am not notified when someone RSVP's to an event and I am not sure how to integrate a follow up email/calendar invite for when they respond.

For a large firm constant contact is highly recommendable, it does have many perks and helps to keep things simple and easy, for a busy company. For smaller companies I would really use this, but Constant contact is good in its own way.

Pros

Very convenient when it comes to designing newsletter and eblasts. With their custom templates and layouts, you do not have to be a graphic designer to put together a wonderful newsletter. Scheduling the dispatch time and getting the reports is also very easy. Importing email lists to the system is also a simple process, you can just all at once.

Cons

Well, it is a quite a bit expensive for small firms. And definitely not worth for firms sending out quarterly newsletters. Moreover is it not very convenient not having test feature, hard to see how things are going to go. Sometime we did have issues when uploading our designed images, the quality was out of place. We used mailchimp for some clients because of the pricing.

We needed a product that was easy to use that would allow us to stay in touch with our followers!

Pros

Constant Contact is pretty easy to use! You can use their customizable templates or build your own! Uploading logos, photos, etc is a breeze and you can store them for re-use later! Contact management within the system is easy too - you can do bulk uploads, create different send lists, etc. Once you've created and sent your email, you can even have it set to resend to folks who didn't open or engage with the first round to ensure you capture as much of an audience as possible.

Cons

It's important to save your work as you go. I have found it can time out or glitch from time to time, but if you save frequently you should be good!

Pros

All basic features are available and working and easy to navigate. I loved the more specialized features on the higher tiers.

Cons

There seems to be some functionality missing for certain features. Their automation options are very limited compared to other software I've used

The only drawback I have encountered with this tool is the customer support. I had a problem with a mail increase that I had to pay, while looking for explanations, what was explained to me was not very clear

The design element is fairly straightforward, and there are plenty of templates that make putting together a newsletter easy. The list management is extremely useful.

Cons

I had to spend several frustrated hours learning exactly what would and would not work with the system: attachments, images, and design elements were not always what I had hoped. However, once I learned it, it became second nature and it now doesn't take me long at all.

Pros

Where do I start? The software has a bunch of templates to choose from, tracks who clicks on and opens emails, and lets you organize your email list with tags and lists. You even have an option to resend to non-openers! You can create newsletters and emails even if you're a beginner. You can also create surveys and polls and do A/B testing with this software.

Cons

As a paying customer, I'd like better customer service, but it seems this is a recurring problem with many software suppliers. I'd also like more customizable options for my emails, like being able to move around the images and text. Also would like the ability to have more than one person working on a document at the same time. The list management and contact UI could also use some work. It's all smaller intricacies that bother me, but still would make things easier and better for users.

Pros

When it comes to building and planning email blasts, efficiency is everything. Constant Contact makes it easy to design and create email blasts on the fly for my team. It's an extremely responsive program that allows me to quickly add images, copy, and lists for email marketing campaigns. Scheduling out tons of blasts is a no-brainer with Constant Contact and I love the confidence it gives me in my email marketing strategy.

Cons

Templates can be slightly glitchy, including errors that cause text spacing or font styles to change. Time spent fixing these errors can affect the product's efficiency.

Overall for a small business, Constant Contact is a good tool for email marketing and their customer service for the most part is decent...but for larger lists, I recommend going with an open-source option and utilizing your own server.

Pros

The template system is easy to use, offers many features and customizations. Creating newsletters is quick and simple. The reporting is excellent as well. Easy list management and importing. Overall there are a lot of great features of Constant Contact.

Cons

For smaller email lists, constant contact is affordable, but when you start getting into very large lists, it gets expensive. Also when working with uploading large lists, they will freeze your account for "more information" about how you acquired those contacts.

Pros

The best feature is the vast array of template that are available to get me started. Sometimes I want to be a little creative, but I just can't seem to get going or find the design that hits the mark. The library of choices is huge and has some really interesting styles in it.

Cons

There should be some cool templates for golf tournaments, but I couldn't find one.

HoRRIBLE. BUGS THAT NEVER GET FIXED DESPITE BEING REPORTED BY NUMEROUS USERS. TECH SUPPORT CHAT REPS THAT LIE AND DON'T KNOW THEIR OWN PRODUCT. IT ABSOLUTELY SUCKS. EMPLOYEES HAVE LEFT RATHER THAN USE THIS DISASTER OF A PLATFORM.

Pros

The refunds and credits that the Billing dept is forced to give for all of the bugs.

Cons

The site is full of bugs that never get fixed despite having a major impact on usability.

This software allows our company endless additions to our mailing list. We are able to send out as many emails as we would like using Constant Contact. I also love the different templates offered to make the emails look appetizing to open.

Cons

The survey option of the software isn't as nice looking. I wouldn't mind the same or similar template options.

We like being able to keep track of delivery rates with the emails we send to our patrons, and it’s a relief to see the insights we get back because they are super useful to us in marketing our exhibits and events upcoming.

Pros

We are able to keep track of all our patron email address and related demographics in a concise and timely fashion.

Cons

The pricing is higher for independent companies, and while the interface works for our needs, eventually we are concerned the interface will no longer be able to keep up with our needs.

Pros

We feel our emails are delivered properly with this program.

Cons

Events and survey features are lacking. Events take too long to set up and are not very visually pleasing or customizable. Survey features are lacking compared to competition and it would be very nice to eliminate the expense of Survey Monkey, but Constant Contact survey feature does not come close to measuring up.
