Landesk gets the job done, but requires a lot of manual building out and troubleshooting.

Pros: The ability to push software and/or machine images remotely is the biggest pro of Landesk. The ability to pull inventory/spreadsheets based off of any search criteria a machine can provide is a huge benefit as well. This product is one of the reasons we are able to get away with a very small IT department, and still manage over 600 devices. Landesk support teams are fast, efficient, and knowledgeable. There is no reason not to call when you need assistance, they will save you major time and headaches.

Cons: Everything that needs to be done in Landesk takes a lot of time to build out and/or troubleshoot. Pushing packages is not black and white, and there seems to be no real "how to" articles to follow to make sure you are doing something correctly. Building out searches (for reports) is hit or miss as well, which is to be expected when there is no default reports built out to choose from and everything is custom.

Overall: Remote mass patch management capabilities, machine image storage and deployment, screen sharing, asset management, and policy management (for Mobile Devices.)
