Pros: Relatively clear on how to find solutions and looking things up. Color coding helping for color vs haircut appts.

Cons: Outdated, customer service rarely followed up with clear answers. Took a long time to get where you wanted to go, lots of clicking!

Pros: Online Chat to assist with any situation. And able to logon to show you what to do if needed.
Free Web training with Web live teacher from classes to set up software to training your employees on every part of the software like booking and sales.
All in one software allows for inventory control, booking of appointments, sales and payroll along with every type of reports you could need.
Able to set up Gift Cards and phone apps.

Cons: Slow resolutions on adapting software to meet our company needs.
Employees say it takes a little bit too involved to book a client and complete a simple sale, especially when just learning the system or when you have several clients to check in.

Overall: Sales and tax reports from keeping track of all sales and inventory along keeping track of employee hours and schedules.

Pros: Great customer service. No matter how small of a question I have, They answer me quickly and do not make me feel foolish for asking.

Cons: There are a few glitches in the software that could be handled. But when you find something, just tell them and they will look to see about repairing it for the next update.

Prosolution has made it very easy for our staff to learn and is very organized

Pros: We like that we have the ability to chat with the customer support team whenever we like and they are always willing to help us find a solution to our problem as quick as possible.

Cons: Sometimes I wish there were easier ways to find things on this software, but like I said, the customer support team is always willing to help us.

As an independent contractor for 17 years this spa program does all the hard work for me.!

Pros: So easy to use booking appointments, reports, goals setting, retail inventory, client history and mostly repeating appointments for the whole year !

Pros: easy , effective in delivering info and processing guests through. I like the marketing options available

Cons: issues with reward programs when renewing the membership, or the lack of remaider that a guest needs to renew

Pros: I like the versatility of the software. It has many features that I can utilize. Especially come tax season.

Cons: I don't care for the price. I think it's priced a little high for what you get but I rely on it now so I don't have a choice.

Pros: Easy to navigate. When looking for something I can usually find it without having to call customer support. Ever since we went to the cloud it kicks us off the software all the time. Can use less pop ups. When booking clients

Pros: I'm familiar with the product. Customer service is helpful, its easy when they log on and walk you through the problem . Like you can change colors

Cons: That your can't reschedule several appts at once, for the same client
Each service has to be rescheduled one at a time

Pros: Chat support , love online booking, love the blasts and email reports. Even more love that we are now in the cloud and can access from anywhere

Cons: I wish there was a way I could be notified if anything knew comes up. I feel like I have to figure that out myself by finding it.

Pros: Love the features and functionality, its endless! From managing reports, operators, client profiles, membership programs, this software has it all. We LOVE the new Cloud feature, waiting on the Paired APP artwork and cant wait to get started with that!

Cons: The way the email blasts are set up. And not enough marketing templates to use for "spa" or "salon".

Overall: Reports, Analytics, Management, Inventory for Retail and Back Bar products, Sale Management

Pros: client info management, graphic support , tech support, reports--including tech supports willingness to write code for customized reports, tools to increase sales, retention, PS's commitment to evolving software.

Cons: IS frequently buggy and I find out by happenstance, which makes me concerned about the accuracy of some aspects of the software and makes me feel uncomfortable about what other problems may be occurring that PS and/or myself are not catching.

Pros: I love how much the software does...all of the functions...I love the support team so that I can get help

Cons: That it does everything and I don't know how to use all of the functions of the software...There for sure needs to have a manual on the how to for the complete system!

Pros: Transcend is the most up to date software for a Salon and spa to use; from inventory control to marketing . I have used this program for more than 20 years and am very pleased. You can call or chat with technical support and they just walk me through any of my needs. I love this program!

Cons: At the present time the program doesn't offer the cloud feature with quick books however, it's been told we have a future date for this action.

Overall the best software out there.

Pros: The customer support. They are so knowledgeable and are always there to help when I need them. The wait time is never a problem!

Cons: I am switching to the cloud version so the only thing was Darci, who emails the appointments at the end of the night, would sometimes be turned off if our computer had to do an update. So once in awhile I would have to drive over to turn her back on if my employees didn't receive their schedule.

They always stay up to date on new technology making it easier to use !

Pros: 16 years using this software and "NO GLITCHES" and now they have created an app! They always are updating to make it easier for us to market the salon and have put their seminars on YouTube just incase you can't catch the webinar !

Cons: I don't have internet at my salon and if my computer restarts sometimes I have to call tech support to get back in to the software

Overall: Helps me keep track of all sales (services and retail) and client history

Pros: The ease of having everything at my finger tips

Cons: Expensive for me being a one man show

Overall: I have had ProSolutions software for 17 years at one time I had many employees but I have down sized my Salon and I'm now by myself it probly over kill to have this software but I have come to rely on it and can not go with out it.

Comments: This software is so great! When I started doing hair and worked at a salon, she used this software so when I open my own, I was comfortable with it, so decided to stick with it. I've been using it for 19 years! Every time I had a question or issue, tech-support was amazing! They help you in words you understand. Great job tech support!!

Comments: Over all my experience is good. I have always used pro solution and it was very easy from the very beginning. I do , however find the fees expensive for darci and monthly subscription. Once again though it is all I have ever used and I have not shopped around for other pricing.

Pros: There are several different things available for tracking, etc. I do like the fact that one of your programmers can get into our system to correct problems. It's a shame that problems require that sort of intervention, on a regular basis. I do like charting in system for my patients/clients

Cons: Program is difficult to use and requires too much time to get work done.

Overall: My staff and I consistently find the program to be difficult to use and requiring an excessive amount of time to do simple tasks. We are currently now using Google for scheduling and looking to change our email system.

Recommendations to other buyers: For a business that does not spend their days sitting at a computer with loads of time to fight the program, this for us, does not have the value that we expected.

Comments: I purchased Prosolutions software in 1999 for my salon/day spa. We received the training, and we've been using it successfully ever since, with all of the updates, improvements, additions, and cloud capability, of course! I am on my second salon, and the software has been easy to adapt to our newer needs, as the day spa division was sold, and we down-sized to solely a hair salon.
The tech support division is great. I find that, since I am more creative than computer savvy, they are right there to help. The only improvement needed is the wait time on hold!

Pros: The easibility of it is amazing and my CPA loves the report access

Cons: The cloud/surface/iPhone still needs some tweaking

Overall: I love the program. The "Surface" program has some bugs in it still and the phone app is still needing some correction but the software for the desktop computer can't be beat.

Cons: Being in Canada we are charged in US dollars for you this service.

Comments: I've been using this software for over 15 years as an aestician and massage therapist . Love all the reports and goal setting features it has . Couldn't ask for a easier program to use and If I forget how to do something all the videos are on YouTube . Pros: It's quite flexible in application - very granular

Cons: The glitches. When running reports, I'll often get a travel ticket from 2007 when I'm simply changing the dates on a report

Overall: Software has many good features. On-line booking. On-line gift certificates. But, there are some really helpful things it does not do. When I ask on-line support about it, they say it's a great idea and they'll think about it for the next release.

Pros: reports and multi booking abilities

Overall: Went through all the changes with Customer support representative and his troops after they bought out the company.
Of which they are now a state of the art software now.Their service has always been outstanding since day one.

Pros: Information storage for ALL clients Wether it's personal information or formula for chemical services.

Cons: Monthly billing for standing clients.

Overall: The program is amazing, helps with keeping track of everything. The only thing is you need to have the time to watch the videos so you are able to understand all of its functions. But the customer service has been amazing at help me with it. One thing I would change is an option for monthly billing for clients.

Pros: It is good at keeping track of what the estheticians are doing.
Their hrs and sales

Cons: I would like a account statement for people with something on account that has all the info about their purchase.

Overall: We use the tech support often and they always know how to help, quickly! I have not used any other program, but I am not tempted to switch.

Pros: Being able to e-mail blast my clients when we're having a promotion. Also being able to track the commission of my artists. It's makes it much easier when it comes time for tax season.

Cons: My company is growing but I'm limited on the number of artists I can have active at one time.

Overall: The software comes in really handy to keep track of all of our clients and to track sales and commission for each employee. My only complaint is that it's not very user-friendly, but once you get used to it it becomes easier. I've been using prosolutions for a long time now and don't plan on switching.

Recommendations to other buyers: The software closes out on me at random times while I'm in the middle of using it. It's not all the time but it's mildly annoying.

Pros: All the places to put the information about theclient and services

Cons: Sometimes in the morning you go to ring someone up and it says you have to close the drawer and I closed the night before and I know I close and accepted properly! Under what kind of business, they do not offer,( beauty salon, spa, salon, cosmetology!) what's up with that!!!!

Overall: Everything works pretty well. There's only a few things I would like to change, one is if you put a popp up note, I'd like it to show up, cuz if you put a note on the apt. It disappears after the apt. Is rung up! The pop up note would remain, but you have to click on the pop up to see it it would be nice if it would show up as you scan over the apt.

Recommendations to other buyers: Sometimes I go to ring someone and no names show up in the sales screen, I have to leave that screen and come back, then the names of the day will show up! Sometimes inthecliding screen, of charges, there will be a person that has two credit card ring ups and one that did get ring up under s charge doesn't show up, but in her client fill it says she was rung up and the transaction number for the other client will appear under the real clients name! I don't really know how to describe it!

Comments: I'm the IT Manager for a 350+ room hotel with a fulls service Spa, Salon & Fitness Center. We've been using Prosolutions Spa retail, booking & membership software for approximately 8 years now, first in it's original Prosalon iteration and now in the latest Transcend version.

Over the years we've looked at several other pieces of spa software, and while most of the properties in our brand have switched to competitors software, we've been lucky enough to hold out and continue using the Prosolutions software. Functionality is full featured and easy for spa desk agents to begin using without any prior experience....I do have some problems with missing functionality related to dual databases on the same client computers (hence the 4 out of 5 stars for "Features & Functionality" & "Overall Quality"), but this is a unique issue that is not likely to occur for most companies using the software. Additionally their recurring membership billing software has been developed and then revised & adjusted over the past few years, to the point that it's now very stable & easy for our Spa Manager to bill our 300+ Spa members every month.

Overall it's well featured, and most importantly they've really stepped up the credit card processing by partnering with Mercury and enabling EMV debit/credit card processing fairly quickly, so customer can utilize chipped cards with a handheld pin pad. Additionally, they've increased the methods by which you can reach their support department. You can now get a hold of them via telephone, email or internet chat. The internet chat feature is especially useful, as they are quick to respond to a new chat session. I still don't appreciate the early closing of support on Fridays, but I'm sure they have their reasons for this.

Overall the current version of the Transcend software is in my opinion, the most stable and feature packed software that Prosolutions has offered, and I'm going to continue using it in my Spa, Salon, & Fitness Center!

Pros: The simplicity, the multi-use features and now the Cloud feature.

Cons: setting different times for users on schedule, templates for campaigns, glitch on receipts when putting one hold and using a different feature another clients name pops up on account and switches without notification

Overall: Excellent and endless features, complimentary online classes for users, online video tutorials, best customer service, no contracts, easy and simple. Definitely worth trying!

Pros: I like the ease of it. I like that when I do have the problem previously stated, I have a quick response from the software people, and they fix it very quickly.

Cons: I already stated that: that it occasionally shows a negative over/under amount, even when we do the exact same thing when closing.

Overall: For the most part, the software is really good. The continuing problem that we keep having is when I go to print the closing report, occasionally it will print the day before, and then when I print it by going to "prior closings," it will show a negative over/under amount on the day's report. I have talked to ProSalon people numerous times, and they insist it is something that we are doing on our end. I can tell you it just sometimes does this. I have really watched it. So every time this happens, I have to call them and have them go in and change it. Other than that, everything is good.

Pros: everything has it's place, titles and subcategories easy to follow

Cons: Icons changed something to get used to.

Overall: Function and processes were at a stand still cause of computer issues. Prosolution techs were fast and easy to work with. All was restored and all other questions were answered fast with polite and simple ease.

Comments: We opened a salon 11 years ago. We have used ProSolutions from the beginning and have loved it. The one suggestion I have is to offer a user manual. It is difficult to troubleshoot issues if you are having to try to resolve problems during work hours and have to message online with tech support and try to book appointments, check clients out and answer the phone, and or be on hold for 30 minutes to speak with someone in tech support. We utilized the user manual often in training new receptionists and it was very helpful to be able to navigate on our own when we needed to troubleshoot and had time to address the issues instead of whenever we could access support. Also, it saved us additional charges for after hours support. The training videos are great and the training webinars, but it isn't always convenient.

Comments: We have been using Prosolutions for 18 years. We waited with anticipation for Transcend as it was supposed to be amazing. Ever since we upgraded to Transcend (in Oct 2013 i believe) we have had nothing but problems. The tech support guys are helpful when they can be but unfortunately they are not able to fix the problems that we have. The most frustrating problem is that almost every single time we try to use a debit card for payment, and here in Canada that is how the majority of clients choose to pay, we have to process and swipe the card twice. It is declined the first time and we have to explain to our clients that it is not their card but our software. Very embarrassing! Vantiv has spoken to Prosolutions and told them the answer to the problem and it still has not been fixed. I have repeatedly tried to reach Stephen Wiggins by email and telephone with no reply so I am hoping this review will get someone's attention.

Comments: Our company has been running on a paper book inventory system for last 45 years. Recently we switched to a computer system. ProSolutions was a product we heard about but we are not in the salon/spa industry. We gave them a call and they were able to show us how the software could be modified to our specific business of metal tube bending.
Being new to any computer system what so ever, ProSolutions held our hands as we learned the system. We track inventory, use the time clock for our employees, and keep track of our clients and our suppliers.
I would have to say coming from no computer system and then going with ProSolutions was the best business decision we have every made. Thank you ProSolutions!

Comments: First of all, the "front desk" features of this program are AMAZING. They are easy to learn, and very easy for me to train my employees with. It runs with ease, and we are always learning new ways to make the client experience better using this software.
On the Downside, the customer service has not always been top notch. It has taken quite a long time for questions to be answered, and bugs to be worked out. It was difficult to figure out how to switch information to our accounting software, but in the end, we figured it out, and it has worked beautifully.
Overall we are happy that we made the switch to this software, it is definitely the best ease of use that we have encountered.

Comments: We have been using ProSolutions since 1996 when we opened our doors. This program has constantly evolved with the huge boost in technology. It is an easy point and click system that anyone can use. My favorite aspect of this company is there Customer Support. I have the option to chat live on-line or call in. Comments: It has a very good scheduler. Inventory program is also good. A few issues are: It still has a few glitches with stability. Example: We have had trouble with the POS at times where the processing declines the card even though the card is ok. Other times the sales ticket said one total that was different from what the client was charged.( client brought their bank statement in).

Any technical problem or question was solved or answer in a very timely manner. The only problem I have is with D.A.R.C.I. and the email confirmation system. We were never able to set it up and use it.

Comments: Our Salon has been using Prosolutions Software for a few years and it's everything we could ask for, it does it ALL!!! We went from scheduling appointments in a BOOK to having a couple work stations operating so smoothly and efficiently that our clients even noticed a big diffrence. Comments: This has been my software of choice for its ease of use and similarity to a hand written appointment book. I have looked at other software but the saying goes if it's not broke don't fix it.
Technical support is always there when we need. The appointment book is my favorite part of the software very clean and modern. My brother owns a med spa upstate that uses them and he couldn't be happier with the experience. Anyways cut a long story short I've been with them 3 years now and the features they have for the price is unmatched. Comments: My friend and I bought a salon in February that came with this program. The former owners never used online booking but it was offered through pro solutions. The first month we didn't have it because there were a million steps involved. No problem, there will be an update in about a week that will eliminate those steps. Perfect. A month later the update was available. Still not working. Basically 4.5 months later of back and forth having to keep asking them what's going on, nobody knows why it's not working for us, must be something we did (?!) no calls apologizing for the hassle, and no discount on the $99 we pay every month. Very frustrating. Everything else works alright, I wouldn't say it's super easy to use but its ok. We're currently looking into another program because 'alright' just doesn't cut it.
