### "Comprehensive and well structured CAFM system with a learning curve"

Overall its a very comprehensive and flexible system, it can be quite complex for new users but if given the time to learn it does what is required well. All in all its a well structured system which can be tailored to most use cases

Pros

The system allows for a number of different configurations to align with the preferred ways of working and has good capability for control with workflow creation. The user documentation is very descriptive and most issues can be resolved just by reading through the guides

Cons

Theres been a fairly consistent issue with jobs being delivered late to mobile devices. Adjustments to the system have been quite slow at being implemented. For light users who are new to CAFM systems it can be a bit of a steep learning curve

The system is well‑built and has the potential to be a leading product, but the support we receive is so inadequate that it makes us question whether maintaining our partnership with MRI is still viable.

Pros

The system performs very well when it’s running smoothly. We manage both reactive and planned maintenance effectively through it, and the scheduled tasks functionality has been particularly valuable for our workflows

Cons

Since MRI assumed ownership of the system, both support and financial services have become extremely difficult to work with. Our cloud transition was poorly handled, with no effective project management in place, and this resulted in several serious consequences for us.

The only significant challenge from our perspective is the cost. While the platform itself is excellent, enhancements, additional modules, customisations, and new feature purchases can be quite expensive. Greater flexibility in pricing for upgrades and module additions would provide even more value to existing customers.

Overall, MRI Evolution has been a useful CAFM platform for maintenance operations. It supports work order management, PPM planning, asset tracking, reporting, and mobile updates through MRI Go. While the system provides good operational control and visibility, improvements in mobile synchronization, workflow stability, ticket resolution time, and user experience would make it more effective.

Pros

MRI Evolution is a reliable CAFM system for managing work orders, PPM, assets, contracts, and reports in one platform. It improves task tracking, resource control, SLA monitoring, and maintenance history. MRI Go also helps technicians update tasks from the site, capture photos, and scan assets.

Cons

The user interface could be more modern and easier to navigate. Synchronization between the portal and mobile devices should be improved, especially for tasks, image types, and published data. Some workflows and assignment functions require technical support, so clearer error messages and faster troubleshooting tools would be helpful. Service support response and ticket closure time should also be improved, as some issues take too long to resolve. Overall, my experience with MRI Evolution has been very positive. I have been in my role for less than a year and had no prior experience with a CAFM system before using it, however I now feel confident and proficient in using the platform for day-to-day facilities management tasks. One of the strongest aspects has been the customer support, which is consistently responsive, with queries being resolved quickly whenever assistance is required. This has been particularly valuable during the early stages of learning the system. In terms of value for money, the system is very competitive, especially when considering the level of training and onboarding resources included. The training provision has been a key factor in helping me develop my understanding and competence within the system. The user interface is generally clear and functional, and the recent upgrade to version 7.0 has improved usability and modernised the overall look and navigation. This update has made the system more intuitive and easier to work with on a daily basis within MRI Software.

Pros

What I liked most about MRI Evolution is that it brings key facilities management functions together in a single system, which helps to streamline day-to-day operations. Having maintenance management, asset tracking, and reporting tools in one platform improves efficiency and reduces the need to work across multiple systems. From a personal perspective, as someone who has been in the role for less than a year with no prior CAFM experience, I have found the system to be very supportive in developing my skills. I now feel confident and proficient in using it for core facilities management tasks, particularly around work orders and planned maintenance scheduling, which become relatively intuitive once familiar with the system. The reporting and visibility across assets and maintenance activities is also a strong advantage, as it supports better oversight and more informed decision-making in day-to-day operations. Another key positive is the customer support, which has consistently been very responsive, with queries dealt with quickly whenever I have needed assistance. This has been particularly helpful during my initial learning period. In terms of value for money, the system is strong, especially when considering the level of training included, which has been essential in building my understanding and confidence in using the platform effectively. Finally, the user interface is generally well structured, and the recent upgrade to version 7.0 has improved the overall look and usability, making navigation more modern and efficient within MRI Software.

Cons

What I liked least about MRI Evolution is that some of the reporting functionality, particularly within IBI and report generation, can feel less intuitive than expected. Producing and navigating reports is not always straightforward, and it may take time to locate the right templates or configure outputs in a useful format. This can make reporting feel slightly time-consuming, especially when trying to extract specific data quickly for decision-making or operational reviews. In addition, while the system is powerful, the structure of the reporting and analytics tools could be more streamlined to improve ease of use and reduce the number of steps required to generate and interpret key information within MRI Software.

Overall; Positive. Works very well with both minimal application (Assets, PPMs, Tasks) as well as deeper integration. Personalisation options (Grid, Widgets, etc) useful for multiple job role style use. Linked systems also positive; Evo Go, AYS etc. Cons are, as above and certain areas require modernisation; such as reporting outputs.

Pros

End User experience is positive, Evo is intuitive even for those unfamiliar with CAFM or FM Systems. Integration is excellent in comparison to the multiple FM Systems I've used previously.

Cons

Documentation for system \*behaviour\* is minimal at best, non-existent at worst. Suspect designed to push toward paid sessions/MRI Support. Greater customer knowledge of integrated functionality would result in increased use, potential for extra Module adoption due to data centralisation. Existing functionality being tied to optional Modules; Instruction Set Schedules & Regimes being tied to adoption of SFG20 iQ Module. If the former could be used...the latter would've already been purchased.

The ability to drill down into tasks is a strong feature, making day-to-day use generally effective. However, there are areas that could be improved. Reporting can be difficult to use, with limited flexibility and occasional functionality issues. Workflow creation and customisation can also feel restrictive, making it challenging for users to independently tailor the system to their needs. At times, unexpected technical issues occur without clear cause, and while support is responsive, some problems can take longer than expected to resolve. Overall, it is a capable system with valuable features, but greater customisation and improved reliability would enhance the experience further.

Pros

Easy to use, with strong drill-down capabilities into tasks and a good level of detail provided for each task. Overall, it is a strong system. Support response times are excellent, with quick and efficient responses to queries.

Cons

The reporting format is not particularly user-friendly, and there are occasions where reports fail to generate correctly. It would be helpful to have a preview or example of how a report will display before needing to enter all the details. Greater flexibility to customise reports and control the information shown would also improve usability. In addition, workflows are not easy to create or tailor to specific needs, and the process can feel restrictive, often giving the impression that additional paid support is required rather than allowing users to make these changes independently. There have also been several instances where features have unexpectedly stopped working without explanation, and in some cases, resolution times have been significantly delayed.

Working with MRI Evolution has been very positive. Being able to configure it around your own business processes and drive complex KPIs and data standards is a real strength. The functionality continues to improve, and the interface gets better with each upgrade.

Pros

MRI Evolution is a really solid CAFM system, especially if you’re managing multiple sites or a large estate. It’s got a lot of functionality in one place, which makes it easier to keep on top of maintenance, assets, and compliance without jumping between different tools. One of the things I like most is how flexible it is. You can tailor it to fit your processes rather than having to change how you work to suit the system. That makes a big difference day to day. The asset management and planned maintenance features are strong too. It’s easy to track what you’ve got, what needs doing, and what’s been done, which helps with both planning and staying compliant. Overall, it’s a reliable, well-rounded system that works really well once it’s set up properly.

Cons

Despite being highly configurable, the setup can sometimes feel quite drawn out. It often requires a strong understanding of the system and remembering where different settings sit across MRI Evolution to complete each step effectively.

### "Becoming self sufficient in a powerful CAFM software."

In the (coming to 4 years) with MRI and Evolution, a relationship of trust and respect has been built that we will not take for granted.

Pros

I like that MRI itself is always pushing to allow Client Feedback to push the product rather than pushing the software onto clients. Evolution does what it needs to and MRI have been there to allow us to be self sufficient in building workflows and reports.

Cons

The mobile app seems to have been left behind, a lot of innovation is thrown into MRI Evolution but MRI Go is not reaping the benefits. We find that most issues stem from our engineers who are using MRI Go. Some of the customer support is good, but we've recently had an influx of case that take longer to solve than they should.

Very good, would find it hard to move away from Evolution, as it has proven to be an intuitive and solid performer.

Pros

MRI products we use are crucial to our management and delivery on our mission statement. The CAFM and dashboard applications help to streamline delivery, every time and on-time. Great for managing our assets and compliance, as well as the daily operational tasks such as breakdowns and PPMs. Helpdesk support is quick, and always eager to resolve any issues quickly, no matter how small or complex; and the team are so friendly and knowledgeable.

Cons

MRI need to regularly push out version updates, rather than waiting for clients to ask, as this helps users keep up with system improvements and functionality.

The customer support can be slow and not be able to help but once escalated past first line support or working with their consultants then issues are resolved.

Pros

I like that we have full access to our data for our reporting and to be able to integrate with our other systems. It is useful to be able to full customisation of workflow and bulk data loads. The integrated mobile took for work orders is useful for tracking maintenance and repairs.

Cons

The mobile app (EvoGo) does not always integrate well and does have the same customisation at the desktop app. The licencing model can be frustrating with each small module needing to be licenced separately.

### "Al Qana Property Management with FSI MRI"

We are happy with what we are using and it is performing well for us, we are even thinking of extending its use for our other business units and entities.

Pros

The product is fit for the purpose for which it it built and used by us, CAFM operations is handled properly with this. Management Supervisor and technicians alike are covered.

The technology is little old and so are the interfces, it is not easy to move around as in Microsoft where user interface is optimized for ease of use.

MRI Evolution is incredibly versatile while remaining user friendly and intuitive. There are lots of ways to tailor the system to your needs and more add-ons are being incorporated into the base model with every revision.

Cons

Reporting tool for MRI Evolution leaves much to be desired. Did use crystal reports but with the enterprise version support ending, MRI have yet to find a replacement.

The MRI(Concept) system is a solid consistent software that has never let us down. We rely on the MRI system and it does not let us down.

Pros

Simple functionality for PPMs and orders that makes MRI easy to use. The system removes the risk of human error when managing statutory compliance works.

Cons

We don't link MRI with our finance system, leaving it as a stand alone Estates system. Easier or open protocol system connectivity would be beneficial.

Yes, very good. It has been a helpful tool to consolidate and store information. As above not sure we are using it as well as we could be.

Pros

I like the all in one, capabilities to multiple tasks with different departments on one tool. The system is user friendly.

Cons

Sometimes development and support can take time. Difficult to stay on top of changes on the system when we are a small team We are probably not using the system to its full potential due to low resource

Use every few days for processing invoices and such, once you get the hang of it it is very reliable

graphics could use an update, and log ins can sometimes be spotty

the system has provided the Bank great improvement to its facilities management. the MRI team that supported the implementation of the system is an excellent and friendly team.

Pros

the level of details that can be entered and the great support the MRI team provide.

Cons

i really don't have anything to say in this regard.

### "Capable Product, Could Be Better"

Pros

My own work with MRI Evolution is mostly at a database level, working on BI/MI, improved business processes and integrating with other systems (including both internal and external).The data structures MOSTLY make good sense and there is a pretty rich set of tools available, though what you get depends upon what licences you pay for. Built-in reporting, options for using Crystal or connecting up other tools (we currently use Power BI, but previously used Qlik), the Workflows automation tool, which allows you to run processes triggered either on a timer or as a result of a data change ... Most of the user interface for the web client is easy to use (though that can't be said of all of it, for example the SLA Matrix editor is truly horrible once you have much data in the "tree structure").

Cons

System upgrades regularly seem to introduce new bugs in the system, and they are not generally fixed until a future release. The scale of our business means that taking operational software offline to carry our upgrades can only be done infrequently, so we often have to live with or work around bugs in the system. These bugs have never been so significant that they've stopped us from operating, but they can create a need to change business processes.The Workflows tool for automating various processes that aren't automated "out of the box" is very powerful. However the interaction with that tool can be very difficult. This separate software used for this is buggy and frequently crashes, especially after a longer period of use. Security arrangements for it are odd: all developers typically access the system using the same credentials. Depending upon licensing arrangements it can be necessary to request "unlock codes" to create or edit Workflows. For critical issues waiting for these from MRI can be problematic. It is also necessary to request these codes to even view the logic inside these Workflows ... though it is possible to delete them without an unlock code. Time and effort could be saved for both MRI and our business if this aspect of working with Workflows were redesigned.It would be nice to be able to interact with the MRI Go data using standard database tooling. The web interface for this is not pleasant to use.

It was good to use but slow at times

Pros

Good for helpdesk needs, easy to use, compaction the window. Mobile service good.

Cons

Slow, too Web based, opens too many windows, less characters for progress notes compared to planet FM.

### "A very robust product with a number of modules to expand the basic product"

Having used the system for over 15 years, I feel that I can say that I have a knowledge of the product. The basic off the shelf product does need to be planned and have a large amount of thought into its implementation (as should all CAFM/ CMMS). For the general helpdesk users, DBA, Performance Management, Maintenance planner, etc the software can be set up or modified to suit your needs. Be warned though a number of the functions will need to be developed with Workflows or purchased as modules. But this should not take away from a very good software platform, which can be scaled to suit the needs of the organizations. The dashboarding, database design and basic functionality are one of the products highlights.

Pros

Basic Functions. The ability to control users access and the hard work the FSI consultants can provide to the customer.

Cons

Plan and plan some more, a number of clients have failed to plan their operational proccesses or design and it has been a nightmare to revise the system to meet their requirements. The system also has a requirement to be managed by a controlling team or person, as it grows, and due to the share amount of bespoke or modification that can be carried out.
