Pros

We have information at our fingertips. As long as the information that is put in is accurate, we get accurate reports. The reports we have gleened from MAPCON have helped us to pass our Joint Commission Surveys over the past 20 years.

Cons

Nothing specific. If I had to pick something, I would say that when trying to edit frequencies my system is slow at times; however, I don't know if it is on my end since it is hosted on our server or on MAPCON's end.

Easy to use product and very attentive staff .Very customer service oriented. I have yet to find a challenge they couldn't solve or an industry need they couldn't address.

Cons

It is a small company and you get very personalize service but because of size, the pace of the product development is not as high a speed as I would like to see.

This software is very complex and not user friendly. You will need to reach out to the support team for assistance until you understand how it functions

Went from zero CMMS @ Viking to MAPCON mostly just using to deliver PM's to shops. Shop not using work orders as directed so I enter most at times. Vendor and Inventory database is very helpful. Reports used have been very nice as well.

I have helped with the installation of the software and the roll out. I use this system every day and it works fine and I would definitely recommend it to others. My only issue with the software has nothing to do with the actual software or the awesome team that helped us modify to what we have now( We have over modified our system in my option). It does exactly what we want it to do and we are able to run reports on hundreds of different things. We even have customized reports that Mapcon created for us to meet our needs. The Preventive Maintenance scheduler works great, Work Order system is only as good as the people who write WO ( we have people who don't write WO), the Inventory system is very helpful, and the purchase order has helped us get away from Oracle. Anyone looking for a quality Maintenance Software this is the best with awesome support team.

I was looking for a simple system to help manage our maintenance department. This system has a great value and is very easy to use. I especially like the mobile app feature. The implementation of the system was very easy and took no time at all really. I am really happy with Mapcon.

The PM feature was a little more difficult than what I hoped for. I wanted to simply attach the current PM's to the Mapcon system and was unsuccessful. I think the file was too large.

I have found Mapcon user friendly, easy to work with and most impressive is their staff who are always ready to assist. (Thank you Brock, Ethan and Cory) I love its ability to consolidate a number processes in my organization, making it easy for references. Especially,its ability to link particular costs to a work order. Helps a lot in evaluation and disposal of equipment. and yes, it can be customized as per my organization needs too.

Pros

The support staff is very prompt and patient. They have great you tube videos that over promise what the software will actually do.

Cons

The software is very compared to learn how to use. It takes so much time to input data and you have to go thru so many tabs to enter a simple repair. The PM section is hard to set up and maintain. You should just us a sticker with the next service due date or time.

I think Mapcon is works good for doing inventory and keeping control of inventory even though our system is old. The ease of working with Mapcon is easy to figure out and find and control parts with different people using the system. The work orders seem to work real well with the way the system is setup. The function of the system is easy to learn and works pretty well. Every time I have a problem Mapcon works well with me to resolve the issue. I have been at my present company that uses Mapcon for 4 years now. I have used a few other CMMS systems in my career and have compared the usefulness of each. Mapcon was upgraded here a few months ago and it is much easier to use and navigate now. I give it a plus for that but I still struggle with certain look-up category's but we are able to get upgrades as we see our needs and again Mapcon response well to our request. I have now grown used to the format and usage so I am looking forward to continuing to become more versed in it functions.

I am still learning the features and functionality of Mapcon. So far, it is a user-friendly product. The customer support is phenomenal. When I have to call Mapcon for support, the people that I speak with are always very friendly and extremely helpful. I still have plenty to learn and look forward to learning and introducing some of the features that our company has not yet used. The organization that Mapcon can provide to us for our equipment, inventory, and work order management will be very beneficial to our department.

Started using MAPCON about a year ago. Adding in options as we go. Nice functionality and tracking. Now manage all code work requirements and presently adding in tooling and equipment to the mix. Emailing, completion of items, electronic makes using very easy. Took a little bit to get started but the support and training sessions were a great help.

Pros

Cost and functionality. Ability to house or have hosted data.

Cons

A little difficult to start but after a quick training session was much easier.

Mobile options works with phone, laptop, and computer.

Cons

A bit confusing on what exactly it does. My accounting professor in college recommended us to use this to learn to track assets. However, he ended up deciding it wasn't easy to teach with so he switched and I didn't learn much about it.

When J. Gibson McIlvain Lumber decided to automate the Lumber Mill Machinery Preventative Maintenance Schedule, we contacted Mapcon for options. Based on our environment, the number of machines and PMs to track, Mapcon turned out to be the best solution by far. Mapcon's Customer Service Team has been exceptional in their response time and willingness to help us through setup and operational issues.

Pros

Simplicity; ease of use; easy to customize and make changes to PM schedules and equipment listings.

Cons

A little cumbersome to get around the software at times, with too many clicks and too many steps to navigate to get to the final printout of PMs.

MAPCON has been a great addition. We are happy with the performance of MAPCON.

Pros

Mapcon is fairly inexpensive to start out. You can add assets and get started with ease. User friendly.

Cons

Expanding modules comes at a price. Having the LITE version is somewhat of a struggle do to features being built around the more expensive modules. Many features are not available in the LITE version.
