Overall, STORIS is a powerful retail management solution with much to offer, particularly for medium to large retailers. Its comprehensive features and strong customer support make it a solid choice.

Pros

STORIS provides a complete set of functionalities tailored for furniture retailers. This includes inventory management, order processing, customer relationship management, mobile point of sale, APIs, and a website that is directly integrated with their ERP system. This all-in-one solution helps streamline our operations and has significantly benefited our company.

Cons

In the past, our company faced challenges with integration, complexity, and a steep learning curve. However, recent updates to STORIS's support have addressed most of these issues. Notably, improvements in client advocate/services relationships, the STORIS Training Academy, the debut of the APIs product, and the help center have made a significant difference for us.

### "More Pro's than Cons"

they are very helpful when I need it. I've been working w/ Storis since Feb. 2015 with the same company. It is great to have the help when I need it.

Pros

I really like the 'create a report' feature. it can almost do anything, with limitation. I really like how the Purchase orders work too.

Cons

That a lot of orders go on credit hold, but there is no need for them to becuase they meet the 45% thresh hold. And I have had multiple cases open with this issue. Wish there was a way around it. Wish there wasn't a credit hold at all. But when i remove the credit hold, it messes everything else up. I also would like more time allotted per month for issues to be resolved and have it covered.

### "If you want a Time Machine Reminder of the terrible software of the 90's"

Awful!

Pros

There are none, except this is the best the furniture world has for software and they worship it. The software is so outdated it's like stepping back 30 years. .Terrible, clunky, slow and just pathetically behind. They say it's because furniture is difficult but I've run logistics and financing before in other organizations it's just that Furniture as a whole is a racket and they exploit customers and STORIS exploits the companies.

Cons

Everything! It is slow, it looks and feels outdated. The company is so overly sensitive if you review them bad they withing days contact higher leadership in a conference call and demand retribution against employees of the organization who spoke out and they are overall. Not kidding had a review posted once and they wanted it taken down and me fired, the Vice president found me on LinkedIn shortly after my review went up. They're that petty cause they know they are slinging terrible and pathetic product. Furniture companies being cheap think they're getting top of the line (similar to what they tell their customers) when in reality they're getting a nice looking package with nothing inside for it to function properly. This product is a LEMON through and through STAY AWAY! Find a start up and invest as a company they will make something 10x better in months!

Storis is great to work with - and I will recommend to anyone.

Pros

I love how each item is tracked and the amount of reports.

Cons

Hard to find specific things If you don’t know the right word. Save- too many times in an order Refunds/exchange payments complicated Order view removes what is delivered instead of maybe graying out or marked as delivered.

AAA Positive in all aspects. STORIS has increased our bottom line, inventory accuracy ratio, etc.

Pros

I am the Controller and Operational Manager for a retail furniture and mattress company with multiple locations. I touch every aspect of our business, from accounting, inventory control, receivables, payables, point of sales, marketing, etc. STORIS is the best ERP software we have used in our 47 years in business. From inventory control, point of sale, receivables, payables, etc. STORIS is an excellent software. We have used STORIS since FY2020 and it has been a positive game changer for our company. The support and training availabilities at STORIS are excellent also.

Cons

There are really no cons worth mentioning. There will never be a software that functions exactly like everyone wants it to function. Overall STORIS excels in every area.

I have been using STORIS for over 5 years. The one thing that has helped me the most is the personal assistance I receive every month from my client relations advocate. If she doesn't know the answer...she will get it and quickly. STORIS is a great store management system. It is definitely worth the time and investment.

Pros

All-in-one processing for your store. From inventory management, delivery scheduling, to P.O.S. accounting and processing, everything you need. Daily. weekly or monthly reports. Order building and completion, STORIS has is all.

Cons

Due to the vast array of system components, there is quite a bit to learn and get used to. but there is a great help section, tutorials, customer and tech support. There are also courses you can take that walk you through the different systems.

Overall I've been very happy with STORIS. Their service has always been great and the software is extremely robust and specially developed to meet the needs of the retailer.

Pros

I've been a STORIS user now since 2008 and it provides a solid and robust foundation for all of our business needs. The platform provides a fully integrated top to bottom experience for our purchasing, sales, inventory, shipping and receiving and accounting needs. It keeps our operations super organized all the way through and provides our staff with the data they need to make decisions and keep customers serviced.

Cons

The software platform called SCiX used to interact with the platform is a bit clunky and has a lot of inconsistencies and quirks. Once you are used to it these things are easy to overcome. It isn't glitchy, it works well when you know what to do, but the processes are often unintuitive and sometimes you have to jump through several screens to do simple actions.

Capel has looked at some alternative POS systems, but we keep coming back to Storis for many reasons. The multiple fulfillment options, pre-approval sales, direct ship PO generated within the sales order. The list goes on and then on top of that we receive excellent customer service from \[sensitive content hidden\] and the Storis staff.

Pros

The customer service is excellent. We are assigned a client representative, ours is \[sensitive content hidden\], and he calls and checks in with us often. He is always available to assist us with any issues. I appreciate him and knowing Capel has someone who helps bridge between us and Storis. The tech help is also very kind and usually quick to respond to cases.

Cons

Sales orders are paid in full at the time of entry and can have different fulfillment methods. This can cause a single sales order to complete at different times, not necessarily all items at once. This can cause an adjustment in the sales tax applied, often making it appear as if the customer owes more money. The ticket cannot complete with the amount due, and certainly we cannot contact our customers asking for more money.

My overall experience with storis has been very positive. When i started in my current role, we were barely using some of the storis functionality, and we are still discovering new ways to use storis.

Pros

I like the import functionality the most. It makes price adjustments and kit creation quick. I also like their customer support team. They are diligent in getting my issues resolved.

Cons

I dont like that they export something from grid data exports. Suggested price should be able to be exported.

I have never had a software company be so hands on with their product and offer as much support in training and technical support as STORIS. Sometimes it is easy to take a product for granted when it works seamlessly for you as STORIS does for our business but I am reminded how fantastic the service is every month when our point of contact, Chris, checks in to confirm STORIS is working well for us.

Pros

I began working at Luxe Home Company after STORIS was already well introduced into our routine and immediately I found the software to be incredibly easy to navigate and learn. It is critical that tasks are able to be performed quickly and efficiently in a small business and STORIS has everything laid out in an easy to use, step by step system. For example, if I want to see our outstanding gift certificates - even if I am not familiar with the function - all I need to do is search "gift certificates" and a clearly labeled option comes up and I am guided through the prompts to print a report with exactly the information I need.

Cons

When STORIS is not working properly for whatever reason, I find troubleshooting not very user friendly. Luckily, technical support has always been quick to respond to whatever issue I am having. Specifically, my biggest gripe is when your computer goes to sleep or if you are disconnected from the internet for whatever reason, if you were working on a sales order or purchase order at that time when you go to reload the same page to pick up where you left over, STORIS will not let you in and you need to call to reset the page.

Pros

I have only had experience in Storis, never used anything else. Storis seems easy to me but this is the only software I have used.

Cons

Same as my pro... I have only used Storis, never had anything else. Storis is difficult in getting information out of it. The reporting could be easier. Could have a dashboard to see sales data quicker.

I have worked with the Storis team for almost 24 years now. Nowhere in the technology community have I had the pleasure of working with such a great team. They are a true business partner.

Pros

This software is the best out there for the top furniture companies. It has been designed from the ground up to handle the unique scenarios that present themselves in furniture sales.

Cons

As with any software, as your business grows and changes, you will some times run in to a function that does not allow you to operate the way you want. However, the Storis team is always great to work with to either find another way to accomplish your goals or to actually modify the software to suite your goals.

When Storis brought out EIS, it dramatically improved the sales analysis. See my comments in the "pros" paragraph

Pros

Very powerful inventory and sales analysis tools. With these tools, we are able to track our best and worst selling items with ease and attain our gmroi targets to maximize profitability and cash flow

Cons

The menu format is clumsy for the system administrator. It would work more efficiently with drop down menu options

Pros

The staff at Storis is very responsive and helpful. They make me desire to give Storis an outstanding review, but I'm just not quite there yet. Hoping that Storis overhauls their platform to make it more user friendly.

Cons

1\. If you are an old school Microsoft platform person, you may enjoy the use of the software. In comparison to today's drag and drop, intuitive computing environment, the Storis software feels dated and clunky. Multitasking in Storis, or having multiple screens up at one time is almost non-existent, and to complete a task, or even offer a customer a simple refund, there is not always one simple process that allows the user to finish the task. 2. Storis charges for just about everything. Even to get to the detailed reports we desired, we had to purchase the EIS reporting module. It would seem to me that many of the features that Storis charges extra for should be integrated into the software itself at no extra charge.

Customer service has been very attentive and helpful. I do find the system a bit difficult to learn but it's coming along and I feel we will master it. It does offer a lot of info. It does require many steps to do a quick sale which maybe could be shortened.

Easy to use- from sale processing, inventory and scheduling deliveries. Function-able enough for small companies who require the basics. Yet its flexible functionalities can deliver so much more for large, multi-store companies as you customize functionalities to best suit your needs- but you do need to shell out more to make use of advanced functions/ customization. Customer support is great.

Pros

Easily learned by new users, flexible functionalities and very helpful and professional customer support team.

Cons

The more needs you have for your business model means more money to tailor-fit.

Pros

The product encompasses everything in one package and can accommodate any size retail business. The software itself is easy to utilize and if you ever need assistance Storis's support is second to none! I've been in the IT support department myself for over 20yrs and got to give the highest of kudos to this companies outstanding services and support.

Cons

Well if I were to give any kind of negatives I feel the main downside to the product is it's core database use of IBM U2 as opposed to SQL or Oracle. Also, all client machines must have a decent network connection to the database (<50ms milli-second response time) for decent use and if your network connection is down you cannot utilize the software at all as there's no local database, so be confident in your network connectivity and security.

Pros

The ease of use and intuitiveness of the program. You don't need to be a computer genius to use it, and in this industry not everyone grew up attached to a smart phone. Its simple to navigate and process transactions, and easy to find the information you need to manage your business. The Storis staff are extremely helpful and responsive to our needs and inquiries.

Cons

Don't have anything negative to offer - only positive opinions. I will say that we only use a small portion of the total package available to us. As a small company we don't feel the need to automate ordering, routing, price reductions, etc that we might if we were 60 stores instead of 6.

STORIS is a long-term partnership and seen as a vital part of our IT infrastructure and we have run our business on it for 20 years. You can grow your applications as your business demands grow.

Pros

It is highly scalable. We enjoy the ability to create customizable solutions, and to run fully integrated processes. We use STORIS as an ERP, CXM, financial reporting tool and website interface. The ecosystem is supported by a comprehensive support library and active team to help at all levels. The ability to adopt new applications as our business evolves is a key advantage; STORIS can integrate with a lot of 3rd party solutions.

Cons

There are some complexities in accessing all front end and setting up routines where experience and training can go a long way, which is supported by the extensive training library and responsive support team.
