August 26, 2017 4.0 A cloud based asset repository with auto-discovery functionality. Pros The asset auto-discovery tool is an excellent feature as it provides real time location tracking information and has proven to be invaluable in the short time I've used it. The simplicity of creating reports to analyze discovered hardware and software. The ability to customize discovered and imported data. Cons The software lacks audit trail functionality. In my experience, asset records that contain an audit trail (date and time stamps, previous location and user history) are very beneficial and essential for accurate asset tracking and reporting. Manager, IT Asset Management Used the software for: ### "So far, worth every penny " December 3, 2014 5.0 After reviewing other asset management software tools, including Altiris, SCCM, ServiceNow, Fexera, and a dozen others, I decided to use Asset Vision in our environment. It has proven to be a valuable asset management tool. In an environment as large as ours, it is important to be able to know not only what it currently owned and what is installed but also to know application usage. Financial resources are needlessly wasted on unused software licenses. Although agent installation is required to meter software usage, the deployment of Asset Vision was easy. It was live in less than a week. The dashboard is web based. It is easy to navigate and is very user friendly. There are a few standard reports available; however, I would prefer more additional standard reports available instead of needing to customize reports. There is a large amount of data included in the reports. Having reports with primarily data that is needed to make quick decisions is important. Once the report is customized, it can be saved so it is readily available for future report generation. Scalable's pre-sale and post-sale customer service was great. They always returned calls and were quick to respond to my questions. They handheld us during the entire configuration process. Most importantly, they assisted with customizing reports that were necessary for auditing. Hands down, Asset Vision has brought great ROI. Review Source GL Gary L. " December 11, 2015 4.0 The Asset Vision tool has enabled to discover and perform asset management functions across multiple networks in an easy to use management console. IT has provided us costs savings by identifying unused applications as well as reconciling license install reports. The tool is allowing the IT department to be more proactive to fix issues before users report them to the service desk. We had some challenges configuring the tool due to some internal security configurations, but the tool is fairly simple to setup and configure. We are receiving very good customer support and have the ability to work with the developers to implement changes in the product. We have not yet implemented all the discovery and reporting capabilities, but we are in progress. Review Source CF Charlie F. Enterprise Asset Administrtor Used the software for: ### "Vision is now clear with Asset Vision" September 3, 2014 5.0 For overall Support, Cost, Archiving, Importing abilities, Asset Discovery and Reporting Scalabilities Asset Vision cant be beat. My hat is off to the Scalable crew for building such a flexible asset manager. I appreciate the way they listen to ideas I have envisioned and bring it to life. Pros: Asset Discovery processes - There is know getting around it, if you want workstation or a server scanned there are multiple ways in getting it done. It is just going to happen. Reporting - Finally, a True Reporter that you can filter and adjust columns on the fly. Support - I deal with a lot of vendors over 20 years these guys are the best. Anywhere Access - Yes, there is something in the cloud that works. Cons: The setup is easy enough to get you out of the gate but if you want to create a data view of your own outside of the can reports there is a bit of a backend understanding you need gather first before you can dive-in. Fortunately Scalable will work with you to achieve your reporting goals. My advice is get your filtering down first, then you'll see what this product can really do for you. Review Source BC Brett C. Used the software for: ### "Asset Vision Review" September 4, 2014 5.0 We have been a Scalable customer for several years and recently switched to their cloud based service Asset Vision. The flexibility and functionality of this product has been excellent. The technicians at Scalable were extremely helpful during our conversion and continue to assist us as we learn more about the product. Generating reports for installed software and hardware in our enterprise is generally easy once you become familiar with the product. I would recommend Asset Vision to anyone looking for a tool that will give you reports on software utilization, hardware information (manufacturer, model, serial number, etc...), web utilization and many other statistics. IT Service Manager Used the software for: ### "Flexibility is the key" February 9, 2015 5.0 We reviewed MANY products all claiming to be able to provide the client information we needed. On review many backed out not being able to deliver. Scalable were confident it was a simple task and could manage to provide our business needs. We trialed the top 2 product and not only did Asset Vision manage to do the job they were the only one that could. Since we have used Asset Vision with our requried custom changes, it not only saved us 2-3 months work it ensured our KEY project still was delivered on time. Used the software for: ### "Asset Vision in Education" October 14, 2014 4.0 Asset Vision is a great tool providing data and information for decision making and license compliance. The product, when implemented with "Optimise" clients deployed is a very powerful tool not only to report on hardware assets but usage patterns of software, peripherals and web access. The product could be improved significantly in the areas of interface design for report creation and management of collections of like assets such as computer laboratories, learning spaces and libraries. Graphical UI is very sleek and responsive. As we capture more detail of our network we anticipate being able to do some great things with the data collected.
