The program has a lot of nice features that are customizable. Cons It is heavily based on unit pricing. it is a little much to look at on one screen. I wish it does better with the multiple monitors. This was my companies main bidding tool for all projects and accuracy was correct for estimates and control estimates. Cons 1) There are some minor technical lags which I am sure the HCSS Team will address in updates. 2) Sometimes the support calls take a little extra time to revert. Though no complaints. Cons If I had to name something that I like the least about the product, it would be that the user interface has so many features and different ways of accomplishing tasks that it can sometimes be overwhelming to the user. The software is easy to use; it just takes some time to understand everything that it can do and where to find it. It is very powerful for building bids and the analyses you can perform (e.g., self-performed vs subcontractor, closing accounts, etc). The more I use the program, the more I learn. Cons If there was some way to incorporate more keystroke functionality (e.g., ctrl+click to select multiple items, copy/paste, etc.), it would make building the estimate quicker. And adding an undo function (ctrl+z) would help! But I understand the challenges with this, which are that the software is designed to allow multiple users in the same estimate.
