Implementation, training, and ongoing support have been great. The web interface is useful when you need to find something on the go, and there are several ways to streamline workflows.

Pros

Affordable, ease of use, outstanding customer support, flexibility in the types of documents, and powerful searches.

Cons

Portability of the desktop application. It takes some technical know-how and a bit of time to move the desktop application to a new computer.

Pros

FileHold is an outstanding document management solution that combines ease of use with powerful functionality. The user interface is intuitive, making it simple to organize, search, and manage documents efficiently. The customer support team is exceptional—responsive, knowledgeable, and always willing to go the extra mile. FileHold also excels in user and group management, providing strong administrative control and security. Overall, it’s a reliable, user-friendly system backed by premium support. Highly recommended!

Cons

While FileHold offers solid document management and reliable customer support, it falls short in a few key areas compared to competitors like Laserfiche. The most noticeable gap is the lack of modern AI integration for tasks such as automated document classification, intelligent search, and workflow optimization. These capabilities would significantly enhance productivity and reduce manual effort. Additionally, the interface, though functional, could benefit from more dynamic and customizable features to better align with evolving business needs. Overall, FileHold is dependable but would greatly improve with stronger AI-driven tools and expanded automation features.

FileHold has been a wonderful software to find whatever you need without going through boxes and boxes. The features for searches and organizing your information is endless. It's been amazing to look up old time cards and invoices when needed. Our Accountant loves it, as they use it when they need to audit our books, as they are looking for specific documents.

Pros

How customizable everything is, it's a blank slate for setting up your company and your needs. They listen to their customers, I submitted a suggestion and they updated the software to incorporate my suggestion. They even reached out to let me know they were going to add the suggestion which was great customer service.

Cons

How small the font is on library. When you decide to remove a metadata field from a schema it retains the information so you can't actually completely remove so it can make things a little tricky when searching or reusing the field. The watch folder list cant be sorted, it's in the order they were entered and if you have a lot of watched folders trying to find one to edit the information can be frustrating. Really all my cons on this software are just minor personal preferences. The only frustrating part was trying to figure out what metadata fields you should create need and how you should structure your library. Because you don't know what how the system functions so down the road you realize how things work and different ways you should have set things up. For example with Vendor Bills we a field called account number then for our insurance policies we have a field called policy number. When I could have used the same field for those two fields.

Overall experience is excellent with FileHold. We removed thousands of paper documents and digitized the whole process globally at Celestica. FileHold serves us very well!

Pros

The user experience is very good. We like that it allows us to upload/publish thousands of documents globally to store in individualized folders by employee. The organization factor and digitization is a game changer for us.

Cons

There nothing to like 'lease' about filehold. Ideally I'd like to see if there can be any integration with HCM/Talent Acquisition tools.

Support was consistent, however communication of promises made by the main contact and the software engineers was not clearly set and confusion caused some problems.

Pros

Simplicity of the system it's familiar and relatable to users. Set up like Microsoft structure. Worth exploring.

Cons

Individual Licensing costly beware ask question. Not a one system purchase dependent on individual user licensing which can get costly with no. of employees using.

Pros

\*Easy to use, and saves tons of paper by not using hard files anymore. \*The interface is really easy to navigate as well.

Cons

\*Our version only works if we are on our hospital network. In other words, we cannot use it remotely / over the cloud. I'm not sure if that's available in other products, I just wish it was at this price point. \*Sometimes the search function is finicky and won't pull up a document unless the full word is used \*Only one user can scan files in at at time

My overall experience with FileHold has been very positive—it’s a reliable, easy-to-use solution that met our needs and delivered great value with strong support throughout.

Pros

What I liked most about FileHold was its excellent support, affordable cost, user-friendly interface, and the ease with which our team was able to learn and adopt it.

Cons

Setup and configuration is a little more involved than some applications and almost always requires a support staff to assists in install and configuration.

I absolutely love it—and so do my users. I've successfully converted several departments that were previously resistant to going paperless. Once they saw how quickly they could locate specific documents, like purchase orders, in just seconds, they were immediately on board. Thanks to FileHold, the days of tirelessly searching for old purchase orders are over."

Pros

FileHold is extremely easy to set up. Day one I was able to start adding documents. The cabinet and folder configurations are set up easily by the admin and very configurable

Cons

When a folder contains multiple pages, it would be helpful to have navigation arrows that allow you to jump directly to the beginning or end, rather than clicking through each individual page number

I have been IT Manager for over 7 years. I have never had a bad experience with FileHold. The product is excellent. Latest assisted upgrade was flawless. The technician was very knowledgeable and professional and efficient.

Pros

We have been using FileHold for over 10 years. We have upgraded it many times. FileHold is a very stable product, well built, does what it is supposed to, very few errors. We don't use all of the features, but it is easy to deploy and manage.

Cons

We were hoping to have some sort of Dynamics NAV invoice approval process, but as we have a very small IT department, we never get around to it. Maybe there is an API we could use to integrate with our Dynamics NAV environment?
