The product is excellent. Latest assisted upgrade was flawless. The technician was very knowledgeable and professional and efficient. Pros We have been using FileHold for over 10 years. We have upgraded it many times. FileHold is a very stable product, well built, does what it is supposed to, very few errors. We don't use all of the features, but it is easy to deploy and manage. Cons We were hoping to have some sort of Dynamics NAV invoice approval process, but as we have a very small IT department, we never get around to it. As the coordinator for my business location the support from FileHold has been exceptional. My IT group supports this view. I have easily learned the FileHold software and passed that knowledge to others in my group. Our success with it has led to other locations in my company to purchase FileHold. Pros FileHold is very intuitive to use. All steps to accomplish tasks and develop workflows are very direct and logical. The Help function is incredibly thorough and easy to search. With advances search files and content can be searched quickly. Seems the database tables have good indexing configured on tables on main fields. Search too fast. Whenever I’ve had an issue, their team has guided me through it with clear instructions (or often just fixed the problem for me). Even though the system has a learning curve, the support and reliability make it a great tool for managing documents efficiently. Pros FileHold makes organizing and finding documents super easy, which has saved me a ton of time. The search function is really powerful—I can locate files quickly, even in a huge system. I also love how well it integrates with Microsoft Office, making it easy to edit and save documents without extra steps. Cons The interface feels a little outdated and not as intuitive as I’d like, which took some getting used to. Pros liked most the scanning software for scanning files fo e-filling and it can manage thousands and thousands of files. searching for information is just a click of button and its very easy to use. " May 25, 2016 5.0 Pros Software is user friendly but offers a wide range of features that makes it appropriate for a wide range of organizations. As a re-seller we have had great success in municipalities, health units, employment agencies, etc.. and each organization's requirements have been met. The support team is also very knowledgeable and responsive when needed. Cons There are some features that don't work perfectly for some of the processes that our customers try and complete, but that isn't a problem with the product, just a limitation. Cons: Linear workflow but not really a con because the users can create their own workflows instead of the vendor doing that like other products. Office Manager Construction Used the software for: 2+ years ### "FileHold is an excellent electronic filing system" July 3, 2025 5.0 FileHold has been a wonderful software to find whatever you need without going through boxes and boxes. The features for searches and organizing your information is endless. It's been amazing to look up old time cards and invoices when needed. Our Accountant loves it, as they use it when they need to audit our books, as they are looking for specific documents. Pros How customizable everything is, it's a blank slate for setting up your company and your needs. They listen to their customers, I submitted a suggestion and they updated the software to incorporate my suggestion. They even reached out to let me know they were going to add the suggestion which was great customer service. Cons How small the font is on library. When you decide to remove a metadata field from a schema it retains the information so you can't actually completely remove so it can make things a little tricky when searching or reusing the field. The watch folder list cant be sorted, it's in the order they were entered and if you have a lot of watched folders trying to find one to edit the information can be frustrating. Really all my cons on this software are just minor personal preferences. The only frustrating part was trying to figure out what metadata fields you should create need and how you should structure your library. Because you don't know what how the system functions so down the road you realize how things work and different ways you should have set things up. For example with Vendor Bills we a field called account number then for our insurance policies we have a field called policy number. When I could have used the same field for those two fields.
