I have been satisfied. EMR and RCM teams have been great regarding supporting product and helping me optimize my experience.

Pros

Customer support is excellent. Software is user friendly and provides what I need. Scanning feature makes up for my lack of direct interface w labs/imaging.

Cons

I did not optimize all of its features so whatever I felt it lacked was really my fault like text reminders for patients and direct faxing from charts.

Fair. Make sure to do as much customization in the beginning because the charges are high for further customization after.

Pros

Is adequate for basic practice management. Service is poor!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Cons

Service. Billing is terrible!!! Many of my claims were kicked back just for simple modifiers not included. They should be the experts in this, but that is not the case

Overall, my experience with PrognoCIS has been very good. I have used it for 20 years. When compared to other systems, PrognoCIS is very easy to work with and the customer support has been great.

Pros

I started using PrognoCIS EMR from 2005. It was configured to Pain Management practice and it has been easy to use.

Cons

The templates, if not configured properly, can cause issues when the progress note is generated. It takes some effort to work through the templates to correct issues.

Very good. There was really only one issue i had in the last 3 years. Really it was almost an unavoidable error, yet prognocis worked diligently to correct and ensure no loss of revenue.

Pros

Incredible customer service! Often there would be a issue or need and I was always impressed with how quickly reps would contact me regarding my need and always were able to help me or resolve the issue.

Cons

Overall really nothing that I didn't like. In fact most of my deficiencies were more related to services prognocis offered that I elected not to utilize. I would highly recommend all available options and services to maximize prognocis.

Reasons for choosing PrognoCIS

Mostly great. And we love the serious improvement in communication over the last year. However the time to completion on certain feature requests/updates can sometimes be a bit frustrating.

Pros

Their fluidity when handling myriad requests and making an earnest attempt at every turn to address issues. The willingness to communicate and try their best to understand a given situation.

Cons

The time it can take for fixes and implementations. Additional charges for things like updating digital forms, API connections, and tabular reports.

I was not at the company at the time, but I believe it was related to how claims were handled.

Overall, it was a positive experience being a client of PrognoCIS over these 5 years. We are only leaving due to the physician’s retirement.

Pros

Ability to customize documentation templates and communication templates and the initial low costs to startup and low recurring costs

Cons

Sometimes, tech support was unable accommodate our requests and the increasing costs were less than desirable.

Terrific would still be using if not retiring. The training part was excellent. The technical group was very attentive and with a quick response. The resource center had excellent training videos.

Pros

The ease of using compared to other more cumbersome types. I used it since 2012 and had no issues. The technical team is outstanding.

Cons

I cannot think of any least things. The ease of moving between the EMR part and billing part was so quick so you can keep abreast of payments with the EMR.

The Bizmatics' team has been very responsive to our requests. Our workflow is very different than typical clinics. Our workflows and reporting is dictated by state and federal regulations in which the engineers have taken time to understand and assist us with automated processes that have increased productivity and reduced error rates. The support team assigned to our account is great!

Pros

PrognoCIS workflow is streamlined for users. The EMR is easily customizable by admins. The engineers are able to develop interfaces with external sources (ie. equipment, data files) to automate data transfer.

Cons

Not enough engineers for timely development of requested customizations.

Overall it has been a moderately good starter EMR, and the price was right. We are looking to upgrade after using it for 11 years to get more integration with EMR, billing and quality management.

Pros

This "free" EMR comes as a bonus for using PrognoCIS RCM. We have used it since 2013, and it has performed reasonably well. It does the job, has a patient portal, and is included with using PrognoCIS billing. When there are technical issues it is obvius that getting everyone up and running is a priority and so far, interuptions have been limited to < 1 day. Excellent customer service which is outsourced but enthusiastic.

Cons

It seems like the programming was done over time, and there are some annoying redundancies and inconsistancies, as well as glitches that pop up from time to time. As the field of medicine has grown in complexity, things that had been included are now add ons, which would add to the cost.
