Pros I enjoy the ease of change with SAP Concur Travel. My preferences are inbuilt into the program which saves me time by presenting travel options that most align with my needs. This method has helped us manage our finances and produce standard reporting from one location. It is a flexible platform for administrators and users. It is easy for managers to track expenses. While we do not use its reporting engine as much, its reporting engine has excellent grouping and sorting capabilities to generate valuable intelligence on spending trends. Pros Functionalities on their mobile application is very good. I can upload receipts, update expenses, submit expenses, and approve expenses of my staff with just a few clicks. Cons Their website's user interface (UI) has an opportunity for improvement. SAP went through one iteration of UI improvement; some features became more efficient and some became worse rather than seeing a consistent improvement in all UI features. Travelers and approvers can sort expenses by date, dollar amount, expense type, etc. Organizations can customize Concur to add their own requirements and security warnings. I like that if you choose to print an expense report and click the PDF button, it generates a complete packet with all the receipts and backup documentation. Cons Our organization has the Request and Expense modules, and the two don't talk to each other very well. Travelers are frustrated that they have to enter the same information and upload the same documents over again when they submit their expense reports. The expense itemization for lodging is tedious. As an approver, Concur limits my ability to make corrections. I have to send the expense report back to the traveler with detailed instructions of which fields to change, or I need to send them the step-by-step instructions to add me as a delegate so I can make the corrections on their behalf. I wish approvers automatically had delegate authority so we could make the necessary changes, then route the revised expense report to the traveler to review. Review Source Federico A. SAP Concur solved this for us. We loved the remotely review and approve, solved 90% of our previous issues. One of the best user friendly UX we ever tried. The import into our accounting ERP was flawless. Cons The only issue we have with this app is the price, if they would offer an affordable plan for small businesses, that would be great. It was very easy to search and book flights Cons While using concur to book hotels I found it a little more difficult as it would not necessarily be able to fine the intended hotel using a few choice words i had to put the name and hotel address in the search bar for it to be found but other than that it was great to use. Pros The best part about this software is the receipt uploading portion it's very simple very basic and would recommend if that's your main goal of using the software is for receipt uploading and reimbursement. Cons The thing that I like the least is how they made basic instruction overly complicated to where you are constantly second-guessing if you're doing something correct or not the instructions need to be simplified and I believe users will have a better time using the software Review Source Victor D. That's why I saw almost all conditions and used all options on the expense creation page. Also in my current company, we use this tool actively. Pros When claiming your expenses, you can classify them easily based on preconfigured options. Under the main option, there can be a lot of sub-options. Also inserting the invoices is so easy especially from the mobile application. In addition, if you need to claim payments due each day, your management can define a template and when you enter the start and end dates, without filling one by one, the related expense item is added automatically. Also, as far as I know, the approval flow is easily configurable and its workflow is strong. Cons If you need to add more than one image for your invoices, it combines them in a pdf or big image (I guess it is up to your on-premise installation). So if you need to add or remove an invoice, occasionally it causes mismatching with your documents. I mean it cannot delete the old one or add the new one properly. Not just the application, the whole company culture itself! Pros The ease! Taking a photo of a receipt instead of having to scan it is very convenient. We still give our physical receipts but it is consolidated as a monthly submission, so makes the reimbursement process faster! Also easy to get approval and see where the expense report is in the system Cons Allocation of expenses to a specific unit or business area is much more cumbersome than I would like to see. For example, assistant doing this job for bosses takes a little longer and quite some steps more needs to be done in order to achieve the proper result. Some problems in smaller countries like Slovenia. A plane ticket or hotel can not be bought, but can be in most other countries. This however can be deploy specific problem, not a product problem.
