Overall, the users are quite satisfied with it. However, its disjointed configuration makes administration more difficult than it should be and data can be difficult to integrate with other existing systems. Pros Service and support is usually fast and thorough. There are tons of options for configuration (if you know how). Cons Integrations can be difficult due to lacking APIs. It is quite difficult to manage a large traveler base that does not have access to the system (supported visitors). Reporting is outdated and not user-friendly (a new reporting system is on the way). November 29, 2023 4.0 Pros What I love the most about SAP Concur is that it's simplifying the full expense management process. Great expense tracking, receipt management, mobile receipt uploads and reimbursement workflows. Extremely user-friendly also for the mobile version! Pros SAP really simplifies the completion of expense reports and makes it easy to schedule business travel all in one place. As a user and approver for my team, I can easily keep track of everyone's expenses as well as do my own. It's so much easier than using a spreadsheet and attaching paper receipts. Pros I've used Concur for years and it's really great at expense management. I typically travel 4-5 times per month and to different countries. The ability to easily manage multi-currency makes this software ideal. Cons Not much I don't like about the software. Very rarely it is not available due to updates, but that doesn't happen more than 1x per year and it impacts me. The system allows the accounting department to consolidate and monitor traveling expenses and makes it even easier to reimburse employees. Cons It's not easy to book travel on Concur Travel and Expense. You can only see flight options that are on the app and none of the other alternative flights. This limits choice, compared to other travel booking sites. Pros SAP Concur is a pretty good software product for expense reimbursement for the entire company and seems to work well with other 3rd party products Cons The user interface for this software product is pretty dated and could do with a refresh to make it a bit more user friendly. But more on the con's later. The pro's are there too. I haven't had extensive experience with other expensing software, so I don't have a lot to compare it to. But I am grateful Concur is a web-based solution (fairly forward thinking compared with some of our other finance processes!) And the idea is solid. Track where the money went, keep budgets updated, and enforce accountability across all teams. I'm on board with the idea, it's just the execution that feels like it leaves something to be desired. Cons I can never quite put my finger on what exactly Concur gets wrong with its interface, but there's a definite gap somewhere. In general, I always find myself making more clicks than I really should need to make. Pop-ups and menus all over the place that I wish were more seamlessly integrated. Design flaws here and there just make things take longer than they should. It's never the highlight of my day having to go do my expense reports. But how much of that is the work of expensing and how much is software issues? Let's just say neither are pleasant. Review Source LF Leo F. Pros The product is relativity easy to use and can be quick in payment for simple regular transactions.The layout takes a little time to understand and the questions are not clear. Cons The expense payment and the date of use are not understood. Eg it rejects advance payments for parking and tolls. The location of the claim is difficult to use. Pros It is simple to get my travel expenses approved and to upload and track receipts on the fly. Cons The UI is not very intuitive. It has a learning curve that takes some getting used to as a new user. Kind of a confusing setup. Pros Very simple method to manage company expenses. Compose individual expenses and group into larger trip claim requests. Camera option to record receipts. Review requests and track line manager approval status. Cons Can be quite a lot of fields to complete for smaller claims, though this may be employer setup. It allows all of our department heads to enter their finances and code them to the correct GL. In previous positions everything has been manual, filled out on PDFs and entered into the finance system by an accounting clerk. This system is of course off the charts better than this method. Pros As a user of this product, it is incredibly easy to navigate! The app makes it easy to photograph receipts and log them right then and there, which is PERFECT since then I’m less likely to lose the receipts before entering them for tracking or reimbursement. The website is also easy to use, and seems very user friendly to me. It’s pretty intuitive (as a user of it). Cons Sometimes the app notifications don’t come up so I miss expense reports to approve, even though I have all settings so I should be getting those. The platform collects our records each month from the attached credit cards and lets us know what expenses we need to find receipts for so they can be submitted as a report for the company. Concur makes this super easy and painless so that we can get back to our jobs after coding our receipts. Pros I love that Concur keeps record of payments for the sake of logging our expenses for the month. It's very simple and user friendly as far as creating reports and submitting them. My favorite feature is the fact that you can email your receipts from your email to your concur account so it is easy to attach them to a receipt for simple coding. Overall, the whole bookkeeping process is made super easy because of the way Concur is set up. Cons There are occasionally some weird auto-fill issues that pop up when coding a receipt, and there are some cases where it becomes challenging to know how to code something when no options for expense type quite match what the expense was for. Reason for choosing SAP Concur Concur seemed to have been the best option for this type of work, and has been the platform of choice for many other companies I have worked for. I just wished it can easily be matched or grouped to final products for reference. Pros Used it several times and it was so simple to use and have everything available to you on your fingertips for approval. You can edit and keep track of informatio. Cons No invoice tracking, difficult to match invoices with purchase orders. A lot of improvements can be made to the product. It is a resourceful software, just needs more.
