Sales Director Information Technology and Services Used the software for: 1-2 years ### "Concur is a great Expense tracking tool from an experienced user perspective" December 15, 2025 5.0 I have only ever been a user and not a manager nor have I purchased SAP Concur, however as a user it is easy to use, you can do it remotely (e.g. right on-site, after an event) so you don't forget expenses/receipts, and again it is a great tool for getting paid. Pros Concur is a very easy to use expense payment tracking and payment system. What is great about Concur is that it makes it easy to identify the individual customers you are entertaining - especially for large events it will list people for you so you are less likely to forget anyone. Cons I didn't dislike anything about Concur however sometimes the 'app' managers configure it improperly so that there are limited expense items compared to what actually happens in the field. Pros I find SAP Concur to be quite useful, as it solves the problem of making sure that reporting is done correctly and efficiently. It helps us do our jobs, and it's an essential part of our processes at IBM. Although I don't have a specific feature that stands out, everything within SAP Concur is equally valuable because they are all part of the whole system. Cons There are times that SAP Concur has a lag in slowness to it. Like all software as a service, there are things that don't fit us as an organization, but probably fit other organizations well. Pros As an organization, having a singular platform that we can book travel through, in addition to expenses is a valuable tool. Concur is a simple tool to use, with a strong user interface and provided by a large company with the resources to improve it over time. Cons Concur is often a bit clunky to use on the back end, with poor reporting, slow customer service response and action, and while it's customizable for our needs, its completed in an odd way that takes longer than you think it should. Pros I have not used Concur at my new job, however at my previous job I used it all the time. It is a great system to use and very easy to learn and use. I think the ability to add a receipt from cell phone was a great addition. Cons I could often find less expensive rates when not using the system to book trips. I don't have to worry about lost receipts because expenses are preloaded when using the corporate card. So much time saved! Pros My corporate card expenses get preloaded into an expense report for me and the majority of the time have the correct expense category and details filled out which saves me time. Cons Sometimes Concur is fussy when trying to use the mileage calculator. My normal usage is related to travel, but I have often used it for standard purchasing. Pros The best thing that SAP Concur offers is an app and a website that can work well together. SAP Concur worked best when I captured day-to-day expenses with the app and then sat down and put my reports together on the website. The SAP Concur travel booking functionality is also quite useful, and I appreciate booking all of my travel options on one website. Cons The hardest aspect of SAP Concur to work with was the occasional issues that arose when a captured expense would go to a different area of the website or get attached to another expense report. Pros What I like most about SAP Concur is the ability to book both travel arrangements (hotel, airfare, rental vehicles), and manage my travel expenses with my linked company credit card. The software is very easy to navigate and is intuitive to use! Cons Previously, SAP Concur had gone through multiple interface updates over the course of a few short years. This took a little while to get used to. However, the interface has not changed for the past year or so, and I am now very familiar with the layout and am quite comfortable using it. Pros From a basic needs standpoint, SAP Concur fits the bill. Its simple enough that just about anyone can use it without problems. Cons There is a lot of room for improvement with SAP Concur, specifically in the expense portion. It takes longer than wanted to receive notification on transactions posting, along with a completely different looking interface from web browser to mobile device - which causes a lot of confusion. It would be great to have more integration of hotel folios like is currently possible with Uber. Cons What I like least about Concur is that uploading receipts can be glitchy. November 17, 2025 5.0 Overall SAP concur is a great tool to keep track of expenses and how to organize those expenses into which reports and the ability to track down the information from each receipt. I would like to see improvements with their AI tool when pulling items from the receipts and putting it into the expense reports because that would be helpful especially if there are several expenses and items to itemize. Pros What I like most about SAP concur is that it keeps all my expenses in one place and identifies expenses that is tied into my e-mail. I also liked it ensures that I include all the required information for each expense and allows me to create different reports for different expenses. Cons I am not a fan of SAP concurs AI tool that automatically pulls information from the receipt and puts it into each category because, in my experience, most of the time the information that the AI pulls from the receipt is not correct.
