Much more straightforward. Pros Ease of uploading and submitting reports. Cons Must upload receipts before starting the report - I often have to start over. (But that’s user error on my part!) Switched from [Workday Workforce Management](https://www.capterra.com/p/264766/Workday-Payroll-and-Workforce-Management/) My source of funding changed and I needed to use Concur instead of Workday. Review Source VR Verified Reviewer Sales Associate Design Used the software for: 2+ years ### "Concur Mobile--the way to go" December 1, 2018 5.0 Pros Concur allows me to seamlessly add business expenses to be refunded, review/approve/deny employee expenses and reconcile expenses. My favorite part is the mobile version of concur. It allows me to open my phone, take a photo of the receipt (moments after paying), file it and send it in for approval. I'll no longer lose the receipts and be unable to expense my business expenses! Cons The desktop version does not have the same clarity as the mobile one. It can be difficult as an employee to intuitively find past reports once they are paid. You need to go into open reports. (which could be listed as 0), then click on past reports to see them. This makes and duplicate expenses very rare, which makes auditing these reports much simpler for financial teams, accountants, and the employee expensing items as well. Screenshots of receipts is a game changer. Also the ability to add and save the contact information for clients and coworkers that an expense is used for is a huge time saver overall. Cons Sometimes it seemed there were some duplication of banking information and if an item was refunded later, it was not necessarily caught unless the person expensing it recalls that occurrence. All expenses were all over the place, accounting had no idea what was coming in and who was requesting what reimbursements and for what expenses. Ever since we implemented this software, its a breeze for us in accounting as well as other employees to get their reimbursements on time. Pros Very stable software from SAP works in the cloud so no local storage. Can be accessed from Any where which means you can upload your expenses with receipts from your home in no time Can be access from a phone app as wells as on web Being able to book and organize your flights to hotels to car rentals is the major advantage plus any corporate discounts we are privileged to have. No need to be calling travel agents. Great reminders for your trips so you are always on top of your schedule Easy payment request submissions Every expense is nicely organized easy and clean user interface which is a plus Cons Little pricey for a small enterprise but its worth it. Employees need to be trained. While I find travel booking is user-friendly, I occasionally ran into some confusion during expense submission. It could be a lot more user-friendly and intuitive with easier navigation. Pros is a good software for expense tracking, submission, and travel booking - easy to do most of that. I like the fact that the draft reports are saved without having to do the boring submission work. The tasks can be done on the fly from different devices. The application has some powerful features and functionality. Cons I think that the expense process is a little cumbersome. The system appears to be slow most of the time. It's an old-fashioned clunky software, needs a facelift and improved flow & functionality. More expense categories are needed. Review Source LJ Lauren J. Fairly efficient in the process but could be updated in the flow, uploading ease and approvals. Pros Streamlining approvals and moving away from paper copies and signatures. Cons I don't know if it depends on how the product has been customized for out company or not, but editing a travel request is a complete mess. You cannot just open the request and make the necessary amendments, but you need to open a new request labelled as a "modification" of another request by manually inserting its code. It's twisted, and this doesn't integrate well with SAP Timesheet, so the best option to edit a request is to delete it and create a new one. The application has improved, which is another positive point. Pros What I liked the most when I used was the ease of requesting refunds at the company. as it has level of approvals, it is simple to organize as needed. Cons I haven't had the opportunity to test other features. So the suggestion is to make clearer what can be used, what can be used and for what purpose and if there is any kind of customization that can be done to suit smaller companies Review Source Amy A. It is time-consuming to figure out the workflow and terminology of this system every time that I use it for different expenses. I would not recommend this product from a user standpoint. I do not know if a better product exists and unfortunately, I do not make these kinds of decisions in my office. Pros It is hard for me to nail down a certain thing about Concur that I actually like to use. I guess the notifications for the approval process are the only items that this system gets right. I am more in the 'con' camp for this software as opposed to the 'pro' camp. Cons The workflow is confusing, the terminology is confusing, the entire user interface is confusing. I do not like this product! Part of this could be that my company does not do training on Concur aside from a simple SkillSoft training that offers limited information and help. I feel that this product could use an entire redesign. It is too confusing for the end-user unless it is used daily in my personal opinion. I also love that I can take pictures of my receipts and just load them to Concur - no more saving mountains of receipts that I lose anyway. Cons When it marries with the travel side of things - booking planes and hotels, etc, things look a little confusing. Also i am not a fan of the itemized hotel evening breakdown. Just look at the total cost and receipt. If accounting wants to itemize, let them go back and itemize later. October 22, 2019 5.0 I've worked in some many organizations where everyone puts off submitting their expenses because the system is confusing or burdensome. Concur makes it really easy, which I love. My organization gets my expenses on time and I don't feel like I'm being punished for work travel. Win/win! Pros Super intuitive, allows you to organize your expenses easily and quickly. I love how the company admin can set the rules in the system, so I'm alerted when I need to include a receipt or additional info to get the expense approved. It makes it easy to get reimbursed and I rarely have items bounced back because I know exactly what I need to provide. Cons Occasionally confusing to itemize a hotel stay when different items are charged at different times. Easy to use and holds your history great if you need to go back and look at anything. I give it 5 stars! I hope if my new job has any expenses that I need to be reimbursed for, it uses this software. Pros I used this software for 17 years in a previous position with a company where I traveled a lot (Hill-Rom Inc, I was revenue cycle management supervisor at the time). Our company used this software for our expenses and it really worked awesomely. When I first started using it, there was no one to train me on how to maneuver so had to learn myself with the help of the software itself. Everything was easy to do and great! The audit process is better, and we can now more easily identify out of policy expenses. Pros Concur Expense is a great tool for Expense Reporting. It is very customizable and has a great reporting tool using IBM Cognos that make it easier to evaluate the company spend and to find expenses out of policy. Cons For many configurations is required to open a Customer Support ticket, and/or have a Concur consultant hired to do the job. But usually the customer support is fast. We are able to show approved these expenses and for what reason these expenses are for. Pros Concur has many features to expense approvals. You can set certain thresholds where a 2nd person may need to do an extra approval. You are also able to attach receipts on every itemized line. In addition, there is an audit log to see what has changed and who has approved the expense. Cons The user-interface is very cluttered and it can be a bit overwhelming to fill out all the fields. All the fields are shown in one screen so it is hard to know what necessary fields need to be filled out. After getting used to the software, however, it should be no problem. Pros It’s very impressive how we can manage to book travel efficiently. It gives the access to book everything at one place with lots of flexibility and alternative options. Cons It takes forever to load and shows error after completing the whole booking so we have to try filling out the information again.
