Pros It is a SAP product which makes itself a best product. We track expenses, disbursements and corporate perks using SAP Concur. We get expenses file at the end of the day to be sent to AMEX. I recall the very first time I used Concur it didn't seem very intuitive, but after you use it a few more times it is not that bad. In my previous job, we did not even use a SaaS for expense management - I think the law firm would just create an expense template to fill in fields and then we would submit expenses that way. Concur is much more useful for larger companies/corporations where employees regularly submit expense reports and there are relatively more employees. Pros The process of creating an expense report is fairly quick, and I seldom run into any issues whenever I submit an expense report. You are able to attach images, check off different boxes of categories of expenses, and submit the report with few required steps. I also have not experienced any delays with getting reimbursed for expenses. Cons You might encounter issues when you create your very first expense report, as it does not seem very intuitive. There is probably some tutorial lurking around, but it would be helpful if there was some sort of real-time robot to provide assistance. Pros That I can run reports on a specific person to see the detail of his/hers expenses and go back as far as the individual started with our agency. Cons for our use, works great, maybe the least would be to delegate access to another manager when one is on vacation. Responses are slow and usually not thorough. It also seems that Support Techs are not given the necessary resources and accessibility to actually solve problems, so that I have to jump through a number of hoops and provide information that I feel they should be able to obtain in order to get my problems solved. The software is easy to use and I find it to be easily navigable. However, training resources are poor and confusing though they are widely available. I understand the profit motive, but it feels like each webinar is aimed at selling you something new and not actually providing training. It's also frustrating that, because I inherited this software from a former staff member, I cannot get training on it unless we pay an exorbitant amount of money. Some basic, ongoing one-on-one training should really be included in all support packages. This is the only software I've ever worked with where that was not the case. There are also a number of built-in features that cannot be turned off that cause us to make exceptions to our internal policies. We should be able to disable all features if we deem it necessary. It's a fine piece of software. As mentioned above, it's easily navigable and the basic set-up and administration is simple to figure out. Taking advantage of all features and exploring more intricate administration features is made extremely difficult, though, and training to be able to do so is not accessible. I would certainly not rave about it to colleagues, but I would feel comfortable telling someone it's fine if you recognize that all softwares have their failings. Along with the app, it makes it much easier to keep track or expenses and receipts as well. I can store all my receipts in one place in the app and pull them on even when I log into the site as well. makes it so easy. Makes doing expenses a lot quicker. Cons sometimes some things can get a little frustrating like when a total does not equal the same or itemized list of things can feel a bit cumbersome. Cons \- When selecting multiple expenses if you happen to click off a radio button all expenses are unselected. - Expensing hotel stays require a lot of information, and changes to be made. - No way to search for specific expense reports. - Software has had no major feature improvements in 4+ years. Pros I've used Concur in tandem with many places I have worked over the years, and most use it mainly for travel booking, approvals, and expenses reimbursements.It works pretty well as long as you know what to fill in and where.Though I often find the travel rates they find are not as good as ones you can find outside the system. Concur was easy to use, competitively priced, and robust enough to handle most expensing situations. Pros I used to enter several dozen expense reports per day, and went through 3-different expense software platforms over 4-years, and Concur was by far the best option. Concur was easy to use, and made even the trickiest of expense reports a breeze to enter. Cons From the perspective of the user, there really wasn't much to complain about this software. Pros A great feature is that we were able to link our credit cards to it, so it populates the expenses so it is easy to create a report and move the expenses to the report. Cons It would be great to have a feature where it remembers more used account codes. I don't adore the software by any means, but it gets the job done and that's what we're really here for, right? They have great customer service which is always a plus. Pros I like this system because it does have so many different capabilities and it's a good place to go for both expense reporting and booking travel. My company uses it daily to track our expenses and book travel for our vendors. There are a lot of great things about it and the system seems pretty thorough, but once I started using the SAP Concur mobile app, I never wanted to use the webpage again. The app made it so easy to track expenses, truly a game changer. Cons This software sometimes seems outdated. Like they have not given it the updates it needs to look and feel like a next-gen software that I want to keep on using. There are some times that it glitches (when logging the details of my expenses or booking travel and the seating chart won't pop up). And it always comes thru with a bad experience. It is cumbersome, asks for way too much information, and the designers seem to think a great UI is one in which there is no white space and tons of small font. Pros Eventually, if I meander thru enough false trails, I arrive at my destination - a successfully submitted expense report. In sum, I've learned to live with this software because my company give me no choice. Cons Hard to enter status reports. hard to find right accounts to use. I'll upload a receipt and then it will complain I did it at the report level and it needs to be done at the expense item level. But, there are parts of the software, both on web and mobile, that could use some updates to become more in line with modern design and workflow. Pros SAP Concur is a software I've been using for about 1.5 years now. I use both the web app and the mobile app. The automatic expense tracking tied to my business credit card works well. The amounts are normally correct based on the actual purchase amount and monthly expense reports are automatically created based on purchases within a given month. Cons Although SAP Concur does a great job at automatically importing transactions and starting expense reports, the few minor issues come with filling out the rest of the info for the report. Uploading receipt images can sometimes be a painful process, especially when using the mobile app. However, when it works it is a very convenient feature.
