Pros This system is the best out there for expense reporting. It is the gold standard for good reason. Cons It is pretty spendy to have them do this for you. " November 21, 2018 5.0 Pros I've used many expense software programs, and I believe the ease of use - overall - is better than most. Also, I would say their support staff is most helpful and always there within a few rings, never having to wait for more than 5 minutes. Cons I believe the issues that I have with Concur are more integration related and not the actual software. I believe the flight category could be more easily read and perhaps a user interface refresh is in order since it looks quite outdated. Other than that, I have no problems with the software. We recently switched to Quickbooks and the staff at Concur were very helpful in getting the integration process set up. Pros Concur is very user friendly, both from the expense side and the reporting side. It's very easy to submit receipts for reimbursements. SAP Concur is extremely easy to use which means employees will submit their expenses quickly and spend more time doing their day job instead of working out how to submit expenses! Pros I use regularly to submit business expenses, what I like most about this software is the app version and the ability to import pictures and automatically scan receipts to transfer information about my expense into the system. This feature has saved a lot of time filling out the expense form. Cons Overall I am very happy with this software as it helps my in my job. Cons Do not expect to be fully trained on the ins and outs of Invoice going into it--plan for overtime, or additional staff, to ensure that your implementation goes smoothly. Booking travel can be a challenge for the reasons outlined above. Pros Concur allows you to book all facets of travel in one space (airfare, hotel, car, etc.) and then reconcile your expense report within the same tool. As long as you booked travel within the tool, it auto-populates many of the expense report line items needed. Cons When booking travel that falls out of company guidelines (i.e. selected airline or price), Concur automatically alerts you that you are outside guidelines even if the circumstances align to fit. For example, if you are supposed to book Airline A but you book Airline B because it is the cheapest, Concur will alert "you are not using the correct airline." However, if you go back and book Airline A because it is preferred - but more expensive, Concur will alert you again "your flight is not the cheapest option." Review Source JV Jeannie V. I am able to list all of my expenses and my mileage and submit them easily. The approval process is quick and easy and the money goes right into my paycheck. It is such a user friendly software that anyone could do it! Pros I like that it is so easy to track expenses. The platform is really easy to navigate and everything on there just makes sense. It is way better than our previous expense tracking software. Cons There wasn’t anything that I didn’t like about this software. I use this software for work all the time and there are multiple categories it allows you to utilize such as vehicle expense, hotel, travel, food etc. Especially like that it calculates mileage. Cons The only thing I can think about it maybe they can incorporate some sort of splitting image/receipts options. Sometimes I will have multiple receipts in one scan and I have to split them up for each item I expense which can take a while. The uploading of receipts is a nuisance and it would be nice if we could bulk upload them and the software could decipher and infer how to expense properly Pros I can go to this product to expense my products and it is very easy and intuitive. There are not extra features that are likely unnecessary. Cons It would be great to have this software in another system I use so I don't have to go to the page and login. It would be nice if my computer could take a photo of the receipts and upload them so that process is more seamless. Pros I’ve been using this as the company uses this for expense claims. This is very user friendly and you can use it on web and on mobile. You can also upload all your receipts on your mobile. It is also easy to creatr project claims so you can track them one by one. It also automatically converts any foreign currency in your local currency so your claim will all be in one currency. Cons Sometimes it takes a while before the expense claim is approved and audited. Also, when it is linked to credit card sometimes it automatically assume an expense category which is sometimes incorrect (i.e a meal that is a dinner is being tagged as lunch etc). Cons Never adds my name correctly to flights, flights and vehicles are significantly cheaper if booking yourself, doesn’t book vehicle parameters to what you selected but still charges you for the upgrades. If you like to spend more time and money traveling, Concur is great for you. I would recommend using it! Pros I like the ease of use. I can upload receipts at a click of the button. I can also itemize receipts easily. Allocations are relatively easy as well after a couple of trials Cons It took a bit to figure out how to use the allocation feature but once I figured it out it was fine. It also took me quite a bit to figure out how to get back to the top of the screen when in the program itself. It really saves a company time by removing the physical paperwork. I would recommend it. Pros As a user, I like how easy it is to use. They make it very simple to input your different expenses and categorize them appropriately. You can easily keep track of your travel expenses by looking at your account. Also, the submission for supervisor approval is easy. Cons I least like how many fields for data entry are unexplained. I sometimes have to ask my supervisor what is required because Concur does not give me any clue as to what should go there. I also wish the uploading of receipts was a little easier on the computer version. The mobile phone version is easy to upload receipts. Review Source Joanna R. Finance & Operations Manager Non-Profit Organization Management Used the software for: 6-12 months ### "Significantly Reduced Company's Risks" September 8, 2020 5.0 Overall, the system is great for what we wanted to do (made the whole payments process more streamlined, reduces risks, provides audit trail, etc.) and at a great price point with great support! Pros Relatively simple to set-up (incl. expense accounts, users, ACH, etc.). The implementation team on was great and made sure we have the functions we need and provided guidance/training to make sure we know how the system works. Excel integration to our accounting platform, Xero, is relatively easy to manage/process. I haven't looked into the XERO-SAP Connector app, but will do so in the near future. The multi-user approval flow allows invoice owners to input the invoices they are responsible for and then goes to relevant department head for review/approval and finally to senior management for expenses greater than a certain amount -- the process greatly reduces our risk exposure and allows relevant parties visibility into the expenses. Great troubleshooting team that responds quickly and resolves issues on a timely basis. Cons The application does not allow payments in foreign currency. I was directed to their partner, PaymentsHub, for this, but as of now, I'm still trying to get that system set-up because of issues with the bank. Review Source RJ Ravisen J. Pros I like that I can now scan my receipts on my phone and add them to an expense report later. This makes it so much easier at the end of a trip than trying to keep track the entire time and end up losing receipts. Cons I travel only a few times a year and I always forget the process of getting items added to an expense report. I have to try two different methods before I finally remember how it works.
