You can access all the company charge codes, approvers and add delegates. The printing features really gives a clear and concise export of the entire expense report with all the details Pros Very good system to do expense reports with many details that you can pick from, but also add on your own like meals, hotel and car service details I also like the fact that you can use multiple currencies for each type of expense. You can also change the daily hotel rate, as some rates go up and down per day. Cons The system can be a little intimidating and sometimes the help boxes are not intuitive Also if you make a mistake, at times once can struggle to figure out what went wrong and how to correct to move on to the "submit for approval" process Review Source Richard Erick C. When paired with a great travel agency and not too crazy expense rules, its a breeze to use, even when you are in a pinch. Pros The integrated trip search capabilities made planning and booking a trip a breeze. Expenses are also very easy to upload and track for all of your trips. The software isn't confusing to use which is great, especially when you have to classify lots of different expenses. I actually think my company's rules of expenses at the time made the process more difficult (clearly not Concur's fault!). The Concur mobile app is also just as easy and straight forward to use. Used the mobile app for about 75% of everything I did in Concur. Cons There were some disconnects between the Concur App and using Concur on a computer. I found doing my expenses which included needing to upload receipts, was much easier to do on the App than on a computer. I also could never figure out why I could not select certain options to finalize my expense report on the App, but could while online. For example, I would use the App to do all my expenses, but then go on my computer in order to finalize and submit my expense report. Review Source Dan F. Most things are broken or bare bones or sold to companies as part of a bundle or because of existing relationships and are generally not good. Concur is the rare exception: it does a great job finding cheap flight, hotel, and car bundles and walks you through the process of booking a business trip. Especially like the Southwest integration as that is missing in both Orbitz, Google flights and expedia. Cons Occasional bugs or error messages related to their booking engine crop up at times. There's many steps in the process and especially at the end you have to make sure you click on that final Book Trip button or nothing will be booked. Found this out the hard way! Native app for mobile device while traveling is a great convenience. Cons I think the implementation could be better (faster) to help the business utilize best practice vs legacy process. Pros The user interface is friendly for a user to create an expense report. All the reimbursement can be calculated and claimed through online processes. There are three features in : Concur Expense, Concur Invoice, and Concur Travel. My company's employees can use this application to submit expenses reports from anywhere. Our accountant and high-level managers can get automated and integrated AP processes, which is very useful for the managers to know the big picture of the travels/expenses statistics. Cons When there are expenses without travel requirements, it is not intuitive while using to create an expense report in this situation. I hope the developing team can make this feature easier to be used. Cons \- Quite outdated UI/UX which leads to a cluttered view. This means it's not as intuitive to end-users as it could be. There have definitely been several office frustrations at not knowing how to complete certain actions. - I have only ever attached receipts to one department, why is this not the default for me? Or perhaps it can be set to be, but is hidden somewhere in the interface! Has a mobile app that helps with capturing images of receipts for expenses 2. Works on multiple browsers (unlike some other applications that can only work on the older versions of internet explorer) Cons 1\. Typical SAP-style interface with lots of buttons and information fields. Easy to get lost in the detail and not know what information fields to fill in next, or where to click to advance to the next page. 2. No immediate error alert. Pros Concur makes it possible to scan receipts from your phone so you don't have to keep track of paper. It also is pretty good at arranging travel for picking flights, hotels and cars. Cons It's confusing for new users. It took me quite some time to figure it all out, especially the allocations and how the itineraries map to reports. Some better help videos would be nice. It allows uploading of receipts for expense reports, proper calculation of expenses based on mileage/gas, for example, and a lot more. Cons What i like least though is it's user interface as it's a bit hard to navigate and honestly can improve more on aesthetics/design. The software is easy to use and allows detailing of expenses. The smartphone app is very useful for taking pictures of receipts which automatically import into the expense report so is very convenient. My university travel request system is based on Concur expense and I like the online interface. Pros The options and organization of a travel expense report on an online platform is the best impression of Concur. The options are self-explained and easy to fill out the form for a travel request. It is also easy to connect and find people in the organization to review the report. Cons At times, the default options autofill the fields and manual intervention is not possible. This way, manual exemptions are not allowed (again from case-to-case basis) which might be disadvantageous at times. Review Source Matthew M. It's consider the best-in-it's class for good reason. Pros I most like that Concur offers a web-based client when I'm at my desk/laptop and a mobile (iOS/Android) client when I'm on the go. The web-based and mobile clients work very well together and allow me to use my phone to take a picture of a receipt and later use the web-client to associate the receipt with an expense report. Concur also does an excellent job of enforcing company business policies when creating expense reports. Cons The biggest issue I have with Concur is that it's web-based client's user interface is very text heavy and feels visually dated. Pros it is easy to upload receipts and match to my expenses, either via image or pdf document. the mobile app is a life saver for someone that has trouble with keeping receipts. Overall, it was a great learning experience, Pros My trial evaluation of Concur allowed e to test drive a very robust program that integrates well with our accounting software a well as our travel portal. It was very easy to figure out once I watched some of the training videos. The price point is fair for all it has to offer. Concur expense is definitely a go to for companies and it eases the process for turning in work related expenses. It even allows for a review feature which ensures submissions are reviewed before reimbursed. Pros My favorite part about is the app which has a camera feature that automatically uploads pictures of receipts and starts expense reports for which I just edit a few notes here and there and then its all ready to go! Cons is slightly complicated for first time users. I've needed help the first few times doing various types of reports so I wish they had a built in detailed tutorial that explains all the details and how various features work. March 12, 2018 5.0 Pros The mobile app, e-receipts (no longer have to take a picture of a receipt for anything travel related), just sent directly from the vendor to my profile. 24/7 customer service, connects directly with our ERP, a consultant to walk you through setup and configure the solution to your processes. Negotiated travel rates that you can't find online. Concur also process vendor invoices. Cons The procurement piece of the invoice tool is a little light, but is definitely sufficient for creating purchase requests / purchase orders. Processing and itemizing transactions is simple. Distinguishing between personal expenses and business is easy. Very user friendly and a quick learn. Cons Sometimes the app is slow or images don't show.
