I'm also a fan of how easy it is to find and track past expenses. Cons The travel piece is more difficult than booking my own flight. I believe it's an add-on and is probably great for larger companies, but for smaller and mid-size companies might be overkill. Recently we have added tripit to it. To make our travel booking easier. It had truly been a great asset to our company. Pros We use to have to do our expense Report by hand but now with concur the process is done in no time. Cons The mileage tracker in my opinion still needs a little work. You know exactly what you need to include for your expenses to be paid in a timely manner: comments, photos, dates. It is easy to upload in real time too, so you're not stuck digging around for old receipts that may have been lost or misplaced in travel. Cons I don't really have any major cons other than Concur not processing over weekend days. It's best to submit the reports on Mondays to have the fastest turnaround. Review Source AB Ashley B. Accounting Used the software for: 1-2 years ### "Concur review" July 6, 2016 3.0 The Concur travel tool has brought efficiencies to our booking process as the ability to book everything in one place is very convenient. The expense tool has proven to be good for us as it ensures employees submit complete reports and helps us to to manage spending. The expense tool, however, has added some time for the end user every month. Pros The ability to book and manage travel in one place for all employees. Cons The travel tool has several limitations which in turn creates unnecessary expenses for us. For example, we book Southwest 95% of the time because of the flexibility we have with changing and cancelling flights. The travel tool, however, does not allow us to change a SW flight within the tool. We then have to contact a Concur agent and incur a $21 fee to change the flight. In my opinion, we should not have to incur a fee because of the limitation in the software. Other travel and expense tools, such as Certify, have the ability to change SW flights within their tool. Maybe it's because the way it is configured in my company, but it is too much information in one visual that you might get lost when selecting the proper option. I like their features and the visibility within the payment process. October 25, 2018 5.0 Customer service has been great, very responsive and knowledgeable. They send screenshots and give enough explanation for you not to feel like having to get on a webinar or call. We hope to be using Concur for the foreseeable future. Pros It is simple to use. Usually expense tools are like this come with a large learning curve. Just a short tour through their free "test drive" you'll find that this Concur expense would be easy to implement across small to large teams without too much headache. In addition to ease of use, approving expenses (including credit card charges) can finally be paperless. Time savings vastly outweigh the cost of purchasing Concur Expense. Cons My only complaint are the small costs here and there, which could add up if you are expecting one price. From what we've seen, # of reports/month is something to monitor. September 29, 2014 1.0 I was impressed with the first salesman I dealt with at Concur, and signed the contract. Their system impressed me with the way it was going to integrate directly into our accounting software, as well as the ease of use for our employees. My first disappointment was the first phone call for integration. I was working with somebody in the Philippines who spoke English well, but I struggled understanding due to the accent. Then, my salesman left Concur at the time I was submitting our information. I totally lost connection with Concur for over a week. I could not find a phone number to call on the website and the salesman's phone said it was disconnected. I was out of communication at a critical time. After another incident with the new salesperson, I determined that we didn't want all of our credit card information in the hands of Concur. Since our decision to terminate our contract with Concur (and sending the letter to the address on our contract) I received a bill for our first month. I called the number on the statement and left a message. Once again, I received a call from the Philippines. She was not able to address my concerns. When I asked for a phone number to talk to someone in the U.S. about my concerns, she couldn't give me a number. Only an email address. I sent an email to that address but it didn't go through. I'm disappointed! The product Concur has to offer looked really good and very user friendly. However, after my difficulty of trying to connect with them and not finding any U.S. phone number to call, I became very concerned about the security of our credit card information. The fact I can get my receipt, move right over to a place where i can take an image of the receipt and then throw the receipt in my black hole of a book bag is very convenient. Cons My disappointment with what is needed to put through reports and approve reports in SAP Concur are mostly pointed to my company policies as many might report in these reviews, however, going away from that there has not been much limitations in this software. Everything is accounted for all expense needs at least for my purpose as well as my teams. Pros It was easy to book flights and hotels, after the trip add all the receipts for travel and food and have your manager review and approve. They also have a mobile app which makes it so easy to scan and upload receipts. Cons The platform looks like it hasn’t really been updated in years from a UI/UX standpoint but it gets the job done well. They have an app so it makes expensing super easy on the go. We'd be lost without it! Pros My favorite feature of this tool is the ability to take a picture of a receipt and concur scans and basically fills out your expense for you! This is super helpful when on a business trip and you're expensing everything you do - ubers, meals, hotels, etc. I usually just take pictures of every receipt and upload them to Concur and they do the rest. It takes a little bit of time to read each receipt, but saves so much manual work on my end once it comes time to submit an expense report. Cons The software does have a bit of a learning curve. It isn't as intuitive as you'd like for submitting expenses, but once you get the hang of it, it's great. There are a ton of fields possible for each expense and your company can choose which ones are required/not required.
