Pros It is super straight forward process when adding your expenses from any work trip and once you hit submit getting your money refunded is typically smooth. Cons When thinking about cons there really isn't much I truly don't like about this product when expensing anything. Pros I like how this software connects all things expense and spending in one system by keeping things organized and in one place. From end to end it tracks vendors billing to receipts. Cons There isn’t anything that I would recommend changing in concur. The feature of submitting receipts electronically only with a simple snap of a photo is an added bonus that makes submitting your report to your manager a quick and easy process. Cons Some parts of the software can be tricky to use. If your manager sends a report back, it can be difficult to figure out how to edit the report or add additional receipts. It is difficult for card holders to navigate so they just don't submit monthly reports and receipts. Looking for a better solution. Pros It makes great reports in the end with receipts attached Cons Very difficult for Staff to use, so they do not consistently turn in receipts or do monthly reporting. It is cumbersome to add new users, new accounts, and link new cards. For the most part, the card holders are not accountants, but we are asking them to identify their purchases with a chart of accounts. This provides inaccurate information in the end. Customer Support is not difficult to get a hold of and they are always implementing new updates and increasing the level of customer experience. Pros The ease of navigating through the software and it's ability to perform a multitude of functions. Keeping all the data in one place makes it easy to look back at past reports and training employees to use the software is simple. Concur provides a detailed instructions handout to walk employees through each step of building an expense report. Cons I would prefer an easier way to assign multiple users under master accounts. Also for there to be a way to set a preferred master user to be able to bypass the initial approver on the account to approve expense reports. Review Source Axel M. When you learn every feature and use it has, you can take advantage of it un many ways. Pros It is a software that makes claiming expenses very easy. It counts with a lot of features to built-in. Cons The interface has a huge area of opportunity to be improved. Its layout can have more colors, and a set of tools to connect everything within the software. We use this for credit card purchases and travel expenses. We have a different system when it comes to other procurement such as supplies and other operational needs. Concur is used by corporate and it's the only system I know for this. It is simple enough once you learn and understand the format. Sometimes there will be open reports already opened from credit card purchase and that streamlines the process faster. Cons I personally have not used the phone app version, but I have heard feedback from frequent users that it has been more difficult to use as it crashes often on phones. Review Source MC Monica C. All I have to do is select the transaction that is already showing up on the Concur page, click on create a new expense report, upload receipts and submit. Everything goes through an internal approval process and paid straight to my corporate credit card. The module is already easy to use, but with the corporate credit card integration, it's even easier and quicker to create and submit expense reports. It would be great to have a solution that is more integrated with our other software platforms, but that is no fault of SAP Concur. Pros SAP Concur has a good mobile app that makes it easy to capture expenses on the go. The web interface makes it easy to come back and finish up coding and reporting before submitting. While not perfect this seems to be the best option. Pros My company implemented Concur Expense to help track expenses easily and we have found that once our people understand the software and use it in a timely manner that it has sped up our process. The app is easy to use. Does keep the information in one place for us which streamlines things. Cons Some of the expense definitions seem a bit rigid and the software can get glitchy at times. Cons I do not like the online/computer version of Concur. It is not user friendly, it appears messy and confusing to operate. It isn't flashy. It's simply a very robust tool to make and track all expenses that can be reimbursed by the company. Pros It's a very robust tool that allows me to purchase and track all company expenses directly within the tool. Purchasing my flights in Concur eliminates the need to do additional paper work or duplicate any information in another system so it can be tracked by the finance team. Very efficient. Cons The UI has a lot going on. Any page on the screen is always very busy and displays a lot of information. While this is good, it can also get too cluttered when compared to the UI of so many newer tools that have been developed since. Review Source RG Robert G. May 12, 2022 4.0 Our company has since transitioned from both the Expense and Travel portions of Concur. I won't specify what we're using now, but I think the Travel app we now use is a lateral move (upgrade in some areas, downgrade in others) but the Expense app we use is a complete step up and I wouldn't look back. Pros The customer service/account team that was behind the Travel Management were very helpful always. The expense reporting UI was clean and intuitive and easy to navigate - I appreciate not having to fill out a ton of fields to accomplish a simple task. The approval flow(s) seemed to work smoothly as well. Cons There were situations where even the real people behind the scenes were unable to make the system do what they wanted - more than once I had to deal with the travel provider (in most cases an airline) to hook things up like my frequent flyer number so I could get my status-related perks (even after setting it up correctly in my Concur profile). We would definitely not recommend this going forward. Pros Not too much that we liked about the software. In theory, the software seemed like a great expense software at a reasonable price. Cons The onboarding experience was very tough. We were told that our cards would sync up, but they didn't and the customer service was bad. We really didn't even get to use the software as we never got through the whole onboarding phase. January 12, 2021 5.0 I've been using Concur for 1.5 years and I'm happy with it. Before I used to spend 2-3 hours to do the expenses of a normal week-long trip, now it takes me 20 minutes. Pros The Concur app is one of the most amazing tools I could ask for. Before using it, doing expenses was tedious and laborious. Now, with the Concur app, I just have to take a picture of the receipt and that's it! Everything is automatically populated just with the picture. It recognizes what is written in the receipt and fills my expense report for me. Cons Although the app is really easy to use, the web interface could be improved. January 30, 2018 4.0 The ability to quickly do expense reports. Everyone in the company uses it! Pros The best features are the app's ability to take photos of receipts. This can't be understated when you are traveling and don't want to carry paper receipts. It automatically loads it to your account, so when you manage your expenses, you have a log of all your receipts. Cons Doing expense reports for hotel rooms is not fun, especially if you have weird dollar amounts that result in a single nightly charge. This could be more well thought out.
