It helps that there are pop up boxes that explain why certain reports are being audited and it shows where you are in the approval process for payment. Cons There are sometimes days where the application does not work. I've had to put in a ticket with my Concur admin to reset my account so that I can submit my expense reports easily. I would recommend looking into the product if you are needing a better tracking system for travel and expenses. Pros Pros of Concur: - Allows systems and processes to approve travel and expenses reports - Product is relatively easy to use - The app is easy to use - You can take picture of a receipt and email it directly to your account in Concur (there is up to 15 to 20 minute delay for the picture to showup), take pictures of receipts ahead of time so you have them when it's time to do expense reports Cons Cons of Concur: - You have to do expense reports each month.... (bah) - Expense Reports have to be specific to run through their auditing processes, if everything isn't perfect it will get kicked back to you for correction - Getting travel booked is a bit tedious, not sure if this process can be improved but something to look into. However, compared to other programs on the market this one is much more complicated to use. Pros Once you figure out how to use Concur it is easy. They keep things organized and I like that they track your mileage for you Cons I don't like how sensitive it is - meaning that it can be somewhat complicated if you haven't been trained properly. Pros It makes it easier to capture invoices from providers, all they do is send it to a custom email address, concur captures it , uses OCR to determine the invoice provider information and amount, it goes through an approval process and once it is approved, it synchronizes with quickbooks. No need to do double entry. Cons The implementation was a little rough, lots of issues came in but nothing that couldn't be solved. Review Source JR Jef R. Cons Naturally, with any powerful tool with a whole lot of functionality, it takes a while to get to grips with the finer details. Cons At times it is a bit difficult to figure out how to set up travel to match up with your expenses. I love the reporting features, and I am able to bring all the transactions into our data base each month to keep our expenses up to date. I like the fact that it is easy to search for the type of expense your looking for. I use it monthly to report the same expenses, and have not found any issues copying my previous month's report. Cons There are a number of icons that are meant to display various information, such as a missing receipt, however these icons are not very clear and just make the interface a bit clunky. Pros The only thing I liked in this software is that if I manage to submit an expense report in concur, I will get my money back for it. Cons Sometimes my session gets timed out while filling the form, and it doesn't keep my data when I click the submit button, so I have to start the whole process again from the beginning. April 6, 2020 5.0 Super happy i am in control of my travel arrangements now, and no longer have to rely on a travel agent. Pros For the longest time, my company was using a travel agency to book our travel. Even though the ladies where great, i never enjoyed calling them while on the east coast for an urgent intervention (since i knew they where based in Los Angeles). After we got acquired by a fortune 150, we need to use to book our travel ourselfs. In the beginning i was not very happy about that, until i realized i can control my travel (company flags flights over a certain amount), but what used to take forever i can now do myself (flight + hotel + car). Love it! Cons Sometimes i still have to call an agent or the airline directly to make some last minute changes (system can't handle those requests) and displays message: call 1-800 number. No stress, it ties straight to my Corporate CC so any transactions just show up in my report and I can sort them from there. You can save receipts in your account to have on file and in one spot, and you can login in from anywhere. Makes it super easy when I am at home and have to work on the report, or when I'm in the office. Cons It's a little difficult to navigate in the beginning, but after a few rounds, I was a pro and once I knew what I was looking for, it seemed very stream line and efficient. The level of detail allows the user to fill out a full report in a way that likely won't require additional followups. Cons It can be a bit daunting the first few times you do it. Unless you do it often, you may need a guide each time you submit a report. It is quick and easy to use with tips on how to submit it and the different limits. I also use Concur when booking flights or hotels for a work trip. It has always been seamless and fast. Cons Sometimes it doesn't offer the lowest priced airline fare when I'm searching for it. and will need a couple of adjustments and refinement to the search criteria for it to update. Customer service is their only Achille's heel, and thankfully they've made it so user-friendly you don't even have to bother with them. Pros Easy to use...easy to train people on. This has made the process for expense reimbursements so efficient. Literally you scan your receipt, and Concur takes care of the rest. February 15, 2019 4.0 I'd absolutely recommend this product to anyone looking for a user friendly expense solution. Pros I honestly like Concur. It really is a very user friendly expense solution. Pretty darn easy to use both for your expenses and expenses of others. The mobile app seems to be getting more and more adaptive over time. Cons I will say that the product seems to have some gremlins in there from time to time. Can't quit put my finger on it but there are times when a very simple task gets goofy but again in total, really good product.
