Human Resources Consultant Telecommunications Used the software for: 1-2 years ### "Great for travel planning business trips, but the best rates aren't always shown" November 20, 2018 5.0 Pros The portal that is provided in Concur is great in that it is easy to navigate, search, and book travel arrangements. Booking is easy, communication is fast, and I've never had a problem with a booking. Cons Unfortunately, the best rates aren't always shown. There are numerous other sites that I have gone to after booking in Concur to compare the rates, and Concur sometimes ends up being more expensive. I don't know if this is due to a fee or commission. Since my place of employment uses Concur I can only use Concur to book, but it would be nice to get the lower rates I could get if I booked it myself. Review Source SS Sandra S. It nice to be able to access concur through my computer but they also have an app as well. You easily can upload a copy of your receipt into the system. Cons would say it wasn’t the most user friendly. I had some trouble submitting for reoumbursement the first time but I contacted their support team and they helped me out. Pros This software is great at streamlining receipt management, expense authorization for our company. It is not too demanding and is easy to make travel authorizations a lot easier to submit. Cons I've never used another expense system, but I have heard that some have found the UI to be outdated and messy. Pros This makes doing your expenses super easily, anytime you get a receipt just take a picture and the app will auto fill in all the information for you, one of the most aggravating things is having to manually input all the information and this does it for you. It's also smart enough to populate all the necessary fields so that all you have to do is write in simple notes and send in for approval or approve yourself. Cons It's not perfect and can't always read your receipts to which you then have to manually input, it's hard to call this a con though is this is not a software or hardware problem so much as even the human eye can't read a receipt that has lost it's ink. It is also great that I am able to change who I assign my expense report to. It is also nice that it will call out any missing fields in the report. Cons I dislike that there are two different pages where you have to enter in the business purpose of the expense. February 4, 2020 5.0 Overall, Concur is great. It is a strong solution for user with frequent business expenses. Even with a few of the nitpick items I mentioned, I would definitely recommend it. Pros Concur has come a long ways, and new functionality is continually added. The mobile app is great as it allows you to easily create expense reports on the go, and generally only need to take a picture of the receipt to include on your expense report. Cons The app can be a little bit clunky and slow at times. Sometimes the picture quality will show blurry which will mean retaking the picture. Review Source LB Louis B. Pros is a great software for a big organization like Fiserv. I would say this because it is very easy to control expenses and grant approvals for trips. Pros I like many things, but the thing I like most is how organized the expenses within an expense report are. It's very easy to add a lot of expenses in one report and not lose track of everything going on. Cons The categories are a little limiting and redundant. For example, there are three separate categories of "Entertainment." That seems a little much and could probably be retitled. You could either have a lot of very specific categories or whittle the list down to more broad topics. Review Source Mark T. Other systems out there may not be as powerful, but they don't kill my spirit when I use them. Pros It connects with external systems well and allows me to easily import in expenses. This saves a ton of time of having to manually type in my expense details. Cons When you do have to enter information, it is PAINFUL. Pros We don't need to scan a receipt and make it to pdf. We just need to take a photo by a smart phone and upload it. It is very convenient and time saving. It's app is easy to use and allows you quickly manage and approve expenses. I wish the receipt part didn't just use the camera but actually focused on the receipt so that you can blur out the background and just have the receipt captured. Reviewing receipts for each expense can also be tedious so enhancements in that area would be good. Otherwise a really good product. Decent level of customization on fields and parameters around needing receipts or not for any given expense line. Cons The web interface feels clunky. Some of the customization are hard to find and configure properly. Also, there are so many options/menus that you really don't have to think about how to "code" an expense. It is very user-friendly. Cons When I request payment, the last stage is always 'sent for payment'. I wish there was a 'paid' status, so employees would know when to look for the deposit in their accounts for sure.
