Timeliness of expense reporting and proper authorization and sign off of company expenses.

Pros

We use Concur Expense for our internal reimbursements company wide. One of the nicer things about it on the accounting side is that it implements well with our systems to streamline posting into the GL and processing reimbursements with our payroll system.

Cons

We use another company for normal day-to-day credit card purchases and they also have a product offering for expense reimbursement which they offer at no cost. So it seems that concur is a bit more expensive.

Cons

Un scan/pdf ne marche pas pour la note de frais, il faut obligatoirement avoir un justificatif papier ce qui n'est pas pratique notamment pour les facture de VTC par exemple.

Overall, this software is excellent. It has eliminated the need for scanning in several receipts with the ability to take a picture. I highly recommend!

Pros

I love that Concur has a mobile app, it makes doing expenses super convenient. You can take a picture of your receipt and upload it immediately.

Cons

I don't like that it is sometimes difficult to include all of the detail my company requires for expense reimbursement through the app. For example, including multiple names from a business lunch and detailing what customer they work for has been challenging in the past.

Pros

I love the expense submission process. The attaching of receipts and information about each purchase is easy.

Cons

I do not like booking anything within Concur. It's clunky. I'd rather do it outside of the software and expense later.

SAP Concur helps with the entire process from making travel bookings to managing expenses.

Pros

Concur makes it easy for my team and I to submit and monitor expense claims especially related to client travel. The workflows are clear and effective so it's easy to know where expense claims are in their process. It is also very helpful to complete the actual travel bookings.

Cons

Some of the features get the job done but can be a little clunky for a user experience perspective. One example is that I occasionally have challenges with the train booking feature.

The company I previously worked for used Concur for both expense management and travel management. It is in my opinion that Concur is excellent for both options. It's convenient (has a mobile app as well), easy for most to use and for the most part prevents the need to use other software. Since Concur was connected to my Amex card, most of the charges showed up in Concur and all I had to do was confirm them, add an expense category (if not already selected), attach a receipt simply by taking a picture of it from the app, and wait for it to get approved. As a manager that needed to approve expenses, I would receive notifications right from the app as well. As for booking travel, that was easy too. I simply entered where I was going, for how long, etc... and it would find what hotels, airlines and rental cars were available and that met my company guidelines. Since my profile already contained my payment info, travel preferences and rewards info, all I had to do was confirm the booking. I highly recommend Concur to all companies that have employees who travel and incur company expenses.

Pros

Convenience of everything being on one app/software.

Cons

None in my opinion, but I could see someone who wasn't very tech savvy needing additional time to get used to using the interface.

i've used concur at 2 different organizations over the past 6 years. i can't imagine any better way to do my expense reports

Pros

An intuitive UI helps to make the activity no one loves to do - expense reporting - a little more palatable. it takes a little of the pain out of the process.

Cons

The only feature which ive struggled with is the 'attachments' feature where the expense did not recognize an attachment after one was remove and another was entered. it took a while before i had to scrap that expense and start over!

Pros

I love that all of us at work have access to all the invoices without any hassle and they don’t get mixed up either. Creating workflows and being able to customize them is also great. The interface simple and easy on the eye. Especially when you are frequently traveling, this app is very useful. All the invoices are placed in one location thereby improving its visibility. The application even syncs with corporate cards, uber accounts enabling the teams to easily track their expenses.

Cons

I felt some difficulty in setting up the system in the beginning. We needed some time to get used to the system. Customer support is the exact opposite of their sales team. The sales team constantly kept making promises which they failed to keep while the response from customer support was virtually non-existent. While we consider the whole system, it is indeed an expensive option.

Easy to use and automatically is connected to my corporate card. Able to manage spends from travels seamlessly. I like that I get warnings if I'm missing certain receipts or details in my input.

Cons

Since it allows for very detailed expense management, it may require a learning curve for use. But once you get the hang of using the tool, it can be a breeze for the next tries.

Pros

I like that certain sites such as ezcater and the concur travel platform automatically load receipts into your account and match them to the charge.

Cons

I do not like that each individual charge has to be allocated to the correct expense account, instead of allocating an entire report.

It's not bad. It certainly gets the job done but appears outdated and not the most user friendly.

Pros

I like the overall features of this software - ex. splitting the cost of an item between different teams, creating expense reports in different currencies, booking multiple items in one report to different budget lines

Cons

It's very difficult to navigate the features on the site. If you're changing currencies, you have to do it within your user settings and not just the report, which saves your settings for future use (difficult for an international org that uses multiple currencies). It's also confusing how to split the cost of an item between teams or allocating the cost of meals purchased together.

Solving the need for traveling employees to follow the policies of the company and not abuse the system.

Pros

In searching for mobile expense tracking software this and another vendor ranked high. I then reached out to SAP Concur and after the call didn't reach out to the second vendor. The artificial intelligence capabilities with this platform is amazing and one of its best features.

Cons

None to report at this time. I think this software really does what it is supposed to.

My employer uses Concur for handling employee expenses. It's been a nearly painless experience. The only issues that I've seen so far are that if an employee submits an expense report without first supplying bank account information, the report can get "hung". It seems that there isn't a way to resubmit a report for payment if payment wasn't able to be processed due to missing bank account information. The only other issue is around categories of expenses. We have multiple locations, and they all have similar categories. The interface saves most recent categories, but if you have expenses for multiple locations under the same category, there's no way to tell them apart in the recent list. This could simply be an issue with how my company names categories, but I can see where you'd want to have the categories be named the same across locations for reporting purposes.
