Pros Makes it easier for Accounting to track expenses, budgets, etc. I can see where my expenses are going, and how money is being spent by staff. Cons It takes a while to get comfortable with data entry. Would not take some data inputs, even from the accounting dept that are "experts." The requests feature allows flexibility to personalize the options available and the system for revising a request is also super useful to prevent going back and forth everytime Cons Overall the interface looks a little bit cluttered with many options available and you can get a little confused from time to time to find where to perform a specific action. It’s simple, they can do it from their phones, and no more mailing in receipts. Cons This is an expensive solution for smaller businesses, and come with a lot of ads on costs depending on how you use it. Used the software for: ### "Usable, but not efficient" November 20, 2016 3.0 I use this software to submit expense reports. While it has the base functionalities necessary for expense tracking and allocation, there are several poorly optimized components. Most notably, the software is remarkably slow to load, and I have experienced a number of time-outs while trying to allocate or enter an expense. It boasts the ability to interface with Salesforce, and while it eventually works, the process of completing a monthly report is tedious. Each field I click on to enter data requires a load time, and should any step time-out, you have to start again from scratch. On the upside, the software gives a large amount of customization for expenses. Additionally, entering receipts or other supporting documentation is painless. Review Source SB Scott B. Pros It produces excellent reports and provides a ton of options. It was a bit of a change from our previous method of reporting expenses. Cons There was quite a learning curve to make it usable, at first reports took an incredibly long time to produce. The mobile app enables you to take pictures of your receipts so you never lose them. Booking trips is a breeze and you cant book your entire trip in one place. Additionally, it plugs in seamless with many apps like Uber. Cons I can't think of any issues that I've had with this software. I've used in my last 3 organizations and it's a standard in my eyes. It gets the job done but it could be better with it's UI. Pros This software is good at covering all of the angles you might need to record expenses from business trips or events. Generally it's setup as a what you see is what you get kind of software. Cons Sometimes things in the UI that should be uncomplicated can be overly complex. Any time a software requires more clicks than seems necessary to accomplish something simple, you have to ask if the developers used any normal person to test it before publishing. If you’re not used to these types of softwares, you may need some help navigating it at first. But I like using it. Pros I like that you can see where your submission is in the approval process. I know if it’s with my supervisor or the next level approved, etc. It is easy to track in the system. Cons It can be confusing if it is your first time using it. Cons A small issue is that expense reports are monthly (April, May, June), but my credit card periods do not follow a calendar month causes some confusion in places expenses into the correct report. Pros I use this to expense certain things for business travel and meetings such as meals and travel. It allows for easy assignment for approvals to get expenses approved by each manager up the chain. Pros We use Concur for our firm business expense reimbursement. I find the software quite user friendly and self-explanatory even for first time users. It's easy to navigate. Cons I find some fields redundant when submitting my report such as report name and business purpose. It would be nice if some fields could auto-populate.
