Sales Director Information Technology and Services Used the software for: 1-2 years ### "Concur is a great Expense tracking tool from an experienced user perspective" December 15, 2025 5.0 I have only ever been a user and not a manager nor have I purchased SAP Concur, however as a user it is easy to use, you can do it remotely (e.g. right on-site, after an event) so you don't forget expenses/receipts, and again it is a great tool for getting paid. Pros Concur is a very easy to use expense payment tracking and payment system. What is great about Concur is that it makes it easy to identify the individual customers you are entertaining - especially for large events it will list people for you so you are less likely to forget anyone. Cons I didn't dislike anything about Concur however sometimes the 'app' managers configure it improperly so that there are limited expense items compared to what actually happens in the field. The app makes it even better allowing easier access and not having to open up your laptop or desktop to complete your expenses. Cons When traveling, it doesn't recognize hotel taxes. I have to complete the forms numerous times because of error codes that do not adequately explain how to correct the errors. Pros The sign in process is easy. Other than that, I cannot think of anything there is to like about SAP Concur. Cons Cumbersome. Not user friendly. It takes hours to complete a simple report. There are many problems matching up receipts with expenses. Not being able to talk with someone to help solve use problems. We had this company with us for about 5 years. It simplified our intake process and launched us into another level. Pros I loved the fact that you can save receipts inside of the application, You can later look for them amongst the saved files and pull what you needed. Cons I didn't like that concor was ver specific with what image files it received and how when you uploaded and used receipts, it wouldn't delete them but you have to manually delete each one. The customer service with issues that arose, which were few and far in between, and the overall experience has been nothing but positive. Pros It’s super straightforward for expense tracking. Making itemizations, especially for hotels, makes it very easy to use. My colleague also had a weird bug where he could t log in and we were able to get on a call with customer support quickly, who resolved the issue. It’s also helpful with showing you the approval process and audit timeline. Cons I really don’t have any. Training our staff is easy as the UI makes it so simple for our staff. SSO is also fantastic so our staff do not have to remember yet another password. Pros SAP Concur has streamlined our expense tracking. It's simple, particularly the mobile app and enables our staff to submit their expenses in a timely manner. Customer Support is always responsive. Cons Invoice tracking, particularly split amongst multiple expense codes can be difficult. The UI is not as streamlined as cc expenses are. However, I've heard that ai is coming to Concur to assist with the splitting. You can even add receipts as you go and then submit ALL at the end of the month. Pros It's easy to navigate and to add expenses. Attachments are easy to add as a pdf. You can also add separately what the expense was for as it relates to each entry. Cons If you don't have the name of the people at a particular business that you are adding the expense to, it's a little complicated to search. If they are there then you just add them. The price was very reasonable considering how much we used their services and how helpful they were. Pros As an executive assistant for 6 professionals that traveled to client sites often, SAP Concur was a lifesaver for travel booking. It was so easy to track the expenses for each individual, change flights, and even receive some last customer service when unexpected weather emergencies happened. Customer service was always helpful, answered my emails or calls right away, and helped my team get the best flights available. The configuration of my company's travel rules helped me always stay within budget, manage an entire team, and use their individual corporate cards. Cons Honestly, I had no complaints. All hotel/flight/car inquiries I had were always solved even when we ran into hurricanes, itinerary changes, and situations completely out of SAP Concur's control. Review Source BS Brett S. One of my favorite work software options. I'll be happy to use it for a long time to come. It delivers all of our business needs. Pros Concur is a great asset to our company. It helps our AP team keep oriented and focused. All levels of management generally seem to find it easy to use. Uploading and classifying receipts is super easy for all of us. Payment processing is very automated now. We will continue with Concur long into the future, as well as other SAP products. Cons It can take a few days for receipts to hit your Concur account. It doesn't really affect anything for me, as I try to do my reports the second week of the next month after it all clears. Pros I like how quick it is to submit receipts both digital and physical into the system. I enjoy the pre-populated items and navigation system that makes submitting reports a breeze. I like the history and internal notes so that if I miss label something I can see what my supervisor would like for me to fix. I also enjoy how simple it is to see exactly what is missing on my reports because everything is clearly marked. Cons I have found it difficult to process duplicate or reimbursed charges on reports under Concur. While I like having visibility into my expense history, I sometimes find it difficult to track certain details or add new items smoothly. Pros I like that SAP Concur keeps a history of all submitted expenses, making it easy to track past reports and reference previous submissions when needed. Cons I find the expense process a bit disorganized. When an expense is returned, it’s not easy to see the details or understand the reason. It would also be helpful to have templates for recurring expenses. Adding expenses from outside the country I work in can be challenging, especially when using a credit card, since the final amount charged often differs from what’s entered in the system. My normal usage is related to travel, but I have often used it for standard purchasing. Pros The best thing that SAP Concur offers is an app and a website that can work well together. SAP Concur worked best when I captured day-to-day expenses with the app and then sat down and put my reports together on the website. The SAP Concur travel booking functionality is also quite useful, and I appreciate booking all of my travel options on one website. Cons The hardest aspect of SAP Concur to work with was the occasional issues that arose when a captured expense would go to a different area of the website or get attached to another expense report. Ease of adding receipts and scan from a mobile phone with the app, ease of following the approval process and checking status of claims. Cons It needs someone to show you how it works first or have a bit of a familiarization training before use. Ergonomy could be improved, for example you cannot remove a receipt once uploaded, unless you delete the line and create a new one, that's annoying. Cons The user interface is complicated. So much so now I no longer create new expenses from scratch... I copy a previous one because that's theonly way I know how to enter certain expenses. Pros It is easy to file expense reports. Everything is clear and easy to understand helping to get things processed quickly. Cons I had a technically issue arise that would not let me attach an expense to a specific report. That ended up delaying the report by a few days but the issue was eventually solved.
