Pros It's nice to have the contact information of people well organized in case I need it and find addresses so you can send cards or visit people. It's also convenient to be able to access the entire congregation of our church. It's easy to view their photos and their information. It contains information such as names, phone numbers, and addresses. Cons The Church Membership Directory is only limited to a maximum of 900 members so it's not a practical option for congregations larger than that . The program is flexible and customizable and very affordable. The customer support is phenomenal. Very happy, and plan on staying with CMD for years to come. Pros Very straight-forward to use. Lots of "helps" for those tasks you don't use as often. Can be customized to add categories. Reports are easy to export. Cons Can't really think of any. I don't use as many of the export to mail options because we have specific looks we want and I haven't taken the time yet to figure out how to do that directly from CMD, which is not really CMD's fault. This is a plus. It allows me to make mailing lists, sort the names according to type of interest and degree of interest. It has features that also allow me to customize reports and keep attendance. I really love the fact that the file works and looks like a folder where families are kept together. A place for pictures and now the ability to have mobile access allows me to keep track of my members and interests even when I visit them. I have used CMD for over 7 years and have been very pleased with how it has been updated during that time. It is a great value and a tool I would recommend to church leaders. Non-Profit Organization Management Used the software for: 2+ years ### "Best for Less" March 18, 2017 5.0 Working with Church Membership Directory is a pleasant experience. It is quite functional and provides what I believe would be what churches need to understand their members. What I like most about the software is the technical support. When encountering a problem or question, you do not get routed overseas or a person reading a support script, but someone that knows the ends and outs of the software. I recommend this software on the support alone, but the functionality just adds the icing on the cake. We love it! Pros Support and easy to use for most users. November 20, 2015 5.0 We love Church Membership Directory by Software for Ministry. We recently wanted to publish our church family pictorial directory in house instead of having to deal with a photography company. The specs were clear on what resolution was preferred and which format. A church member took all our family photos and then we followed a simple upload process. We wanted to customize the order and format of the names that appear as picture captions and it was easy to do that as well. It's not a con, but a challenge...with such feature packed software, you do have to take the time to learn the program. To help with this there are videos and documents for reference. Used the software for: ### "CMD - Blessing to Ministry" March 20, 2017 5.0 I can't imagine doing my job at the church without CMD. When the Pastor asks me if I can make up a list of names and addresses and wants to know if it will take a long time to put it together, I just smile and say, I'll have it for you in a few minutes. CMD does all the work, and I get all the credit for being such an efficient secretary. Also, I can't thank customer support enough for all the support he have given to me over the past 11 years that I have been the secretary of the Grants Pass Seventh-day Adventist Church. I had limited skills when the Lord put me in this position and he has been so helpful in walking me through the steps I needed to do to keep CMD up to date. It is always being upgraded and kept current with the new possibilities as they occur. He often asks for suggestions as to what his users would like or prefer. One of the best things is that Mic is always willing and ready to help with any problem and he always knows the answer! The program includes every application that I have needed and then some.
