Not great and please be mindful before going with these guys. I'm writing this as its come to a point that I have spent so much time on this app, for something that is an overpriced booking system.

Pros

Linked with Class pass. Costumer service calls straight away when you request help. That's all I can think of

Cons

Time consuming with behind house. Contracts links sometimes works for clients depending on the phone they have, better if they do it through the computer. Not user friendly. The three months free they give you in the beginning is due to how long it takes to convert your clients over and get contracts up and running. I paid clients transaction fees, which can equate to a lot for a small business. $2200 for us since we have been in contract. Now the transaction fees is working with mind body and is a new feature, everyone has to be sold a new contract because current contracts don't work with the transaction fees, which now requires more time for not only clients, you again. Took three months and 6 different calls for customer service to find the right person to start our appointments in the app for our clients to use. I had been doing this individually each week during this time You are locked in for a year. You are promised everything, time back, ease and leads walking through the door. I've found the opposite. Not to mention it iss 5x more than most other providers out there. I find it hard to write like this as it takes a lot for me to leave a review this bad, never have I ever in 10years in the business and working with two different providers in the past. The only best part of this whole experience is how well the sales guys sell it in the beginning.

### "Mind Body review from a Senior Living Community"

Mindbody has provided valuable analytics for my community. As we move forward with offering new services, MB already has the ability to schedule them and track payments. I also feel that we are only using a small portion of what MB is capable of.

Pros

The analytics breakdowns are very helpful. I have appreciated AI chat for quick assistance with finding where to access or change little things on the site. The simple check in app for class attendees works well for my fitness center.

Cons

On our branded app had some changes made with an update (we did not choose this). This removed some of the most important features for my community (heartrate tracking). Two factor authentication was also installed. I see the need for online security, but I work in a retirement community, and this update has kept nearly all of our folks from using our branded app. We used to be able to log people into a tablet and let them track their workout with a heart rate monitor.

It's a product governed by and for investors - not studios and not students. It'll work, but I would chose a cheaper company if I had to do it over again.

Pros

It's well known and doesn't have payment processing issues. I like that they have a point of sale feature.

Cons

It's too expensive and they are constantly pushing features no one wants. The updates are glitchy as hell. All customer support has to go through AI, which is often useless. My clients get frustrated that they can't get help with their accounts too.

Overall, my experience has been very positive, and I’d feel confident bringing Mindbody with me to any future business or organization I’m part of.

Pros

Mindbody has been a great platform for our business. It’s user-friendly, easy to teach to new staff, and the reporting features save me a ton of time. Being able to access detailed reports instantly is a huge advantage.

Cons

The only drawback is that there are times when the system seems to bug out — tasks show as completed but reappear the next day, or purchases don’t always remove items from inventory. Overall, it’s still a strong and efficient tool, but those occasional glitches can be frustrating.

I have been a user of Mindbody software as both an admin and a student at other studios. The software is wonderful for the front end but the back end requires much more UI research and revamping.

Pros

Mindbody is very easy for clients to use and sign up for classes and workshops. The onboarding process for a new student is quick and easy. Many integations exist to help the process.

Cons

The configuration and backend setup of Mindbody requires way too many windows and clicks to move through the process. It is not intuitive.

### "Small Businesses Need To Be Aware"

We signed up to Mindbody with high hopes, but our onboarding and early use of the system have been among the most frustrating business experiences I’ve ever had. Despite extensive efforts on our side — including trying to work constructively with multiple contacts across different departments — the service has been chaotic, slow to respond, and riddled with technical problems. Key issues have included: Broken booking links at launch Missing client data on import Passes and login functions not working across locations Persistent log-in loops and access errors for clients Ongoing bugs in the staff and back-office systems Unstable client experience requiring frequent browser cache clears Failure to correctly apply free trial periods and subscription credits Multiple issues raised, ignored, or delayed for weeks at a time Most damaging of all has been the impact on client trust and our professional reputation. After nearly a month of firefighting problems and receiving minimal or no response from support, we’ve had to migrate to an alternative system — just to protect our business from further disruption. Despite acknowledging many of these issues and even apologising in writing, Mindbody is now refusing to release us from our contract — locking us into a 24-month term on a system that is unusable. At this point, we are beginning to explore legal options. If you’re a small or growing wellness business that can’t afford weeks of instability and reputation damage, I would advise extreme caution before committing to this platform.

Pros

The pre-sale was extremely slick, the software looked amazing. It appeared to offer a number of solutions to problems we had and problems we didn't know we had.

Cons

Almost everything from the moment we signed up. I have tried to be balanced but our experience was poor from minute one and I can't think of any redeeming parts of our experience.

### "After 18 Years Here's The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly"

When considering the major areas like Value, Ease of Use, Features, Payment Processing, User Interface, and Support, Mindbody scores 90 out of 100. The positives far outweigh any deficiencies and after 19 years I plan on continuing with Mindbody until I am no longer in business. The support is excellent, and the software is easy to use - and don't think 'easy to use' implies it's very basic / simplified because it doesn't. This is very powerful software that gives amazing reports for every aspect of my business. The competition doesn't have anything on Mindbody! I mentioned I will continue to use Mindbody until I am no longer in the business - if you are interested (or know someone who is interested) in purchasing the top-rated hair salon in Fort Lauderdale since 2006 please contact me. We keep easy hours Tuesday - Saturday 10-5 and till 8 on Thur & Fri and with only 5 stylists over $500K with over $150K Owner's Benefit. If I ran this place like a real business with 8 stylists and we were open from 9 to 9 Mon - Sat, we would do over a million.

Pros

I started with Mindbody in 2008 at $65/month. While the company grew & grew and expanded into several continents the 'hair platform' and the tasks I did on a regular basis remained unchanged. I own a small hair salon, and I do things today (2025) the same as I did in 2008. Daily Closeout reports, payroll reports, entering employee data... remained unchanged. The software is easy to learn and very intuitive. Support is available 24/7 and appears to be based in the USA, so there are no heavy accents to battle i.e., understanding what you are told is easy. Over the years I have had thoughts of changing companies and I never did because of the value I get from Mindbody. Granted, the price is no longer $65/month, but it is competitive and gives better value and a bigger bang for my buck. I was pleasantly surprised when I was given consideration for my years of Loyalty and being charged based on the size of my business. I love that by being web-based I can log on anywhere and it's like I am at work. The app is also quite useful, and I don't miss a beat if I am out when a new client calls who must be entered into the system & scheduled for a service. Shortly after starting with Mindbody, I was contacted by Demandforce for CRM. Demandforce integrates seamlessly into MIndbody and picks up the pieces that Mindbody does not offer. It is like a 1,2 punch and I believe Mindbody is a big part of not just why we have been in business for 20 years, it is a big part of why we have been on the top of Google for 20 years.

Cons

Obviously, the Pro's outweigh the Cons. I used Mindbody's Merchant Services for a few years, and you would not believe how much it made things easier by integrating Merchant Services into the Front-End software. I stopped using Merchant Services after a couple of years because promises made were not kept. Nothing more to say about that. Another Con about Minbody is the platform. From day1 it seemed that the platform for hair salons was made by forcing it to conform with the Spa / Health Club platform - Hair Salons did not have a stand-alone platform - we were added into the Gym platform - we were not designed as hair salon software from the ground up. Another Con is when they discontinued GeoAnalytics... I loved that tool because it showed you on a map exactly where your clients came from. None of these Cons are major... they are not deal-breakers, they are just some of the things I have seen over the years, and being that I have been using this software for 18 years I am

On the Fence, very difficult to learn and very difficult to set up or reach Customer Service - I've had to wait 30 min - 4 hours.

Pros

Easy to use and book appointments, like the colors plan for clients through their appointment journey. Makes it very easy to track their journey at the spa.

Cons

struggle with site navigation after updates - we never get notified of changes. We discover them after logging in and it takes days to figure it out

### "Errors Galore and No Way Out of Your Contract!"

Mindbody registered my business name incorrectly despite clear instructions, and their onboarding deactivated appointment types, stopping me from processing client sessions. This disrupted my cash flow and caused major headaches. Support was useless, making the experience costly and frustrating. It feels like they just want your money. Do NOT sign up—no matter their mistakes, they refuse to let you cancel your subscription.

Pros

Nothing. For what it costs (minimum $269/month), the features are absolutely not worth it. My clients also complain about how the customer app is terrible to use.

Cons

Mindbody repeatedly made errors, like misregistering my business and deactivating appointments, preventing me from processing client sessions and disrupting cash flow. Support was unhelpful, making the experience frustrating and costly. No matter how many mistakes they make on their end, they refuse to cancel your lock-in contract. Overall, it feels like they just want your money—do NOT sign up.

Reason for choosing Mindbody

I chose Mindbody because the sales rep told me it would be easy to set up and use. This turned out to be false, causing repeated errors, deactivated appointments, disrupted client bookings, and cash flow issues. The misrepresentation and poor support cost my business significant time and money, making the whole experience frustrating, stressful, and ultimately a poor choice compared to other alternatives.

Mindbody is such a convenient tool to utilize. I discovered my favorite yoga classes through this tool. It is super easy to schedule and process payments through this application. You can also customize the app to meet specifically what you are looking for.

Pros

Mindbody is one of the apps I utilize most on my phone! It is great for marketing purposes from a business aspect, but also a user friendly tool from a customer standpoint.

Cons

I would say the one downside to this app would be the cost. This takes a percentage fee for all the sales that go through it. However, it is understandable.

I have been using Mindbody for over 18 years. It has been reliable for the entire time. I switched to another service last year but ended up switching back, I needed the features that Mindbody offers.

Pros

Ease of use, reliable, professional, all-in-one, customer support, constantly improving, quick to reply.

Cons

High cost for more features. I have stayed at the lowest tier and made due with the features included there.

Pros

Love the details and control it offers. It's very thorough. The add-ons and integrations are also very helpful. We could not live without the Bowtie ai chat bot!

Cons

I wish support was more knowledgeable on the software. Sometimes I have to tell them how their own software works.

Overall, I find that I am happy to have Mindbody; it is easy to teach new employees, and the new features are usually very beneficial.

Pros

I was apprehensive about the AI assistant, but I absolutely love it. It saves me so much times looking for answers, and calling customer service!

Cons

Limited account features, and the downgrade of functions that our business staff can no longer do. Such as: changing/updating email addresses & name changes. Parent's find your "family accounts" confusing to create; the APP does not work very well too.

In general it is good. I Love the branded app they creatd for us i was not happy to be charged for it before it was up and running paid two month fees. Apple do take thier sweet time responding to each ticket and then you end up waiting while paying for an app that is not in use yet.

Pros

Once you are trained on it you will feel it is user friendly and there is always updates being posted

Cons

ClupPasses ... it depreciate our service as a botique pilates studio i am not a fan and i am also not happy the other studio in your aria being promoted on the app and to your clients.

Love Mindbody as we have used other member tracking software. Mindbody is a great value and offers reports that allow us to track membership and finances. A membership representative contacts us with updates and does a yearly review.

Pros

Easy to use and many useful features to track membership. Navigation within the program is easy and logical. The technical support is great to trouble shoot problems and then they follow up with a email with all the reference information. I love the feature that shows members who have not been in recently so we can reach out to them.

Cons

Set up is a little time consuming, but once all the information is in, it is easy to use. Sometimes, the wait time to connect to technical support is long.

It was easy to use and you could stream line all the information for your classes pretty quickly. Other apps it is more time consuming

Cons

It was hard to look up client information unless everything was exact. So if there was a space or comma missing it wouldnt find it

Overall I love MindBody! It is a great tool for booking classes, courses and for scheduling. I love that I can go to a day and see everyone's schedule or go to my schedule and see the week.

Pros

I love that our members have an app that is user friendly. We can make changes to classes easily and keep track of schedules of all staff easily.

Cons

I do wish we could send out class and course specific emails. There is only one option for confirmations for classes/courses.

Super robust program, larger than what I need for my small business. Large learning curve, needed to be on support a lot. If I had employees and larger scale, would probably use it!

Pros

Solid platform, keeps booking/clients/memberships/payments all in one place. I really like the scheduling platform -- it does waitlists really well. Reporting options are thorough.

Cons

It's pricey and more robust than my small studio, so I ended up looking for more affordable options. But for a larger business this is probably perfect. Interface not as intuitive as other options.

Pros

What I liked most was the scheduling it was fairly easy to book clients and keep myself organized. Like that it was color coded

The system is old school and very difficult to navigate. It’s also very expensive and costumed service is the worse

I like using MindBody. I like the simplicity of it for all my daily classes. I like being able to see who is attending and when I need to cancel classes. It;s easy to contact all clients

Pros

how easy it is for my clients to book in/out of classes. It's very easy for my instructors to see who is coming too

Cons

Sometimes it can be very confusing on how to set up a membership contract. I feel a little lost when trying to figure soemthing out. Usually the AI tool helps

Good tool for control and management of clients, classes and staff. Collection process is very good, though time to deposit is long. A better reports options and even, being able to customize them, ourselves, would be great

Clients´management and control, as well as booking process. Also the payment process is very useful, though the time to deposit is long.

Cons

reports and payment deposit time. Reports, sometimes are difficult and dont give you the detail information. Time to deposit payments is long. Also, when you are in the point of sale screen for a client, before we had displayed the current and future contracts, passes. Now only the current ones. It was better before.

easy to use and I like all the tools to search or to run reports or to find and register clients. Plus other options like calendar spread out and more.

Pros

booking is very easy not only for the therapist but for clients too. The checking out process too is very simple.

Cons

no being able to tap to pay option for clients and the schedule not showing a blockage in between requested appointments so they're not to close to each other

Great so far! Mindbody has made it easy to go through sales, contracts, employees roles, texting system.

Pros

The automations for all the members/prospects makes it easy to keep them all up to date. User interface is easy to use.

Cons

It can be a lot to navigate if you are new. Mindbody has a lot of tools and it can be overwhelming at times.
